Preview release.
Embeds FIMK 0.5.1 and NXT-PLUS based on NXT 1.5.13.
Did a major refactoring of the initial gossip client code. Reason being that we are in need of adding support for more message types.
Improvements to the chat section, no longer does the online/offline status of contacts 'flicker' when coming and going online.
Added support to see if a contact successfully received a message. Added support to see that a contact "starts typing".
Did away with the Send button in the chat section. Send button still available but only on mobile, on large screens you must hit the ENTER key to send the message. Use SHIFT+ENTER to add a new line.

http://fimkchat.com/2015/08/experimental-lompsa-0-4-7/----------------------- Finally I got around to implementing a protocol I've had in mind for a long time. The idea is extremely simple but at the same time extremely powerful. With the gossip protocol everyone running a FIMK server can send a message to one or more of his connected peers and be pretty sure that same message is distributed as fast as possible among all other peers. Nothing is stored however! All that remains on any of the servers is the ID of the message. And only for a limited amount of time just to make sure we don't keep sending the same message around. To actually do something with gossip messages the receiving party should be actively listening for them. A party does not need to listen for all gossip messages! What you do is create a special key which is built up from a sender, recipient and or topic (or any combination of that) and you'll subscribe to that key through two-way websocket client/server connections. Now when anyone sends a gossip that matches that key, as soon as that message reaches the (p2p) server your client is connected to you will be notified. Having a free distributed messaging protocol could potentially come at a cost. That's why all transactions and blocks on the network always go first. It is a very early stage and these extra measures have not been enabled yet but this protocol comes with excellent spam prevention methods. Since every gossip message has a sender and every peer in the network has knowledge of that sender's balance we could easily require a sender to have a minimum balance, we could also limit the number of messages per minute/hour/day etc per account .. Every gossip message is signed with a secret phrase which proves who send the message (same mechanism as signing blocks). Every gossip message is timestamped and the timestamp is included in the signature, messages older than - or from more than 15 seconds in the future are discarded. The live chat feature is just one of it's uses and is what is available in lompsa (used to be mofowallet) 0.4.7 now. Lompsa 0.4.7 shows how with this relatively simple protocol we can create a sophisticated client side (javascript) distributed real-time communications platform. # client side protocol implementation https://github.com/fimkrypto/mofowallet/blob/master/app/scripts/services/gossip-service.js# messages are stored and served from indexeddb https://github.com/fimkrypto/mofowallet/blob/master/app/scripts/providers/gossip-chat-messages-provider.jshttps://github.com/fimkrypto/mofowallet/blob/master/app/scripts/providers/gossip-chat-list-provider.jsLots of other uses exist. Free fast real-time communications between FIMK users is just one of them. Eventually the protocol could be used for anything.. communications, games, live multi-sig, live trading etc..

good job with LOMPSA One question, the transference NXT works well but in Asset I have a problem, it does not reflect my balance and I cannot buy or sell. in the paragraph of TRADE the balance puts 0, nevertheless, in Account-->more-->asset the correct balance appears
sorry for late reply. that part is not automatically updated i know, it's on the list ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) just navigate to another page and click back button and it will update.

I'm sorry. Totally forgot to update here. There has been an intermediate release for a few days now which is here https://github.com/fimkrypto/mofowallet/releases/tag/v0.4.6 i'm sorry it's not final but the new (now really) free chat feature (called the gossip protocol btw..) is taking up a lot of time.

OK, that's what I expected. Yes, I started the server.
I think I see what is happening... when I sign in with my pass phrase I get a different account than my account.
However, if I open the wallet from the previous version and do show password, it shows the correct passphrase, the same one I am trying to enter in the new wallet when I sign in.
sure it's the same? not perhaps a missing space at the start or end? what happens if you only login in for the session.. Sign in / Enter pass phrase / FIMK / [enter the passphrase] / Save to wallet? answer NO / Continue.. Ok, it looks like my passphrase ends with a space. However, I'm guessing the new wallet is trimming that space, because when I remove the space in the web UI it shows me the same account number that the mofo wallet UI shows. Why would the wallet from settings display the correct account and phrase that I logged in with but the home show the wrong account? I am signing in by entering my passphrase and clicking no to the same prompt. EDIT: So "dashboard" shows the right account, but home shows the wrong account. You are correct. The space at the end is eaten somehow. I'll fix it right now. Thank you for pointing this out.

I don't see any indication on this version of the wallet (0.4.5) that I am forging like the previous version? What am I missing?
Did you start the FIMK server? http://fimkchat.com/2015/08/how-to-start-the-fimk-or-nxt-server/After you sign in you can start forging (Click Account / Start Forging). There should be an indicator that you are forging and when to expect the next block. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FcNNtDmu.png%3F1&t=663&c=zO2-hchvex91Vg)

Preview release.
Embeds FIMK 0.5 and NXT-PLUS based on NXT 1.5.13.
This release starts the rebranding from mofowallet to what will become it's new identity lompsa.com.
The login procedure has changed. It used to be possible to enter your secret phrase in any transaction dialog. This is no longer the case, users must now "Sign in".
When signing in users have three options:
1. Enter a secret phrase for that session only 2. Enter a secret phrase and store it in your encrypted wallet 3. Enter your wallet password and select one of your previously stored secret phrases
The old wallet.dat file is still supported and will remain so but it's no longer the preferred way to provide your secret phrase. Instead the contents of the wallet.dat file are now stored in the application localStorage (same mechanism is used when run in the browser).
Since your wallet is now in the application it's must more user friendly especially on small screen devices like your mobile.
Account creation process was improved for FIMK and NXT, users can generate a different secret phrase and move back and forward between secret phrases selecting one that suits you best.
Completely new messenger UI. 1. Sends encrypted messages to your contacts 2. Full built-in emoji support 3. Supports sending transient messages (free messages that disapear) 4. Supports sending permanent messages (stored on blockchain) 5. Mobile friendly
Emoji are supported everywhere (Explorer, Messenger, Dashboard, Account pages etc). When sending a transaction it was already possible to attach a message, these messages now support the full set of emoji. To save room on the blockchain we currently use a base32 based emoji code, but if you wish you can enter the real emoji name by hand.
Go here to look up all supported emoji. http://www.emoji-cheat-sheet.com/
Increased performance when running local server. Out of memory problems should no longer occur, if they do please report them.
Many bigger and smaller improvements in search, explorer, dashboard etc..
Improved language support accessing one of the 64 supported languages was made easier.
About (free) Transient Messages..
This FIMK and NXT feature is experimental and makes use of the existing support for referenced transactions. A transient message is an AM transaction of which we set the referenced transaction to a value so that it never gets executed. There are at any time a maximum of 2000 transient transactions on the network, if more are added the oldest get removed.

Q: What good is a an encrypted mobile chat app without emoji support? A: Not much ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Thats why we support the full-set. Either type the colon format code (if you know it), use smiley faces etc. Or select one from the menu (as shown below). ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F47badOU.png&t=663&c=H9CDCugrtjbC4A) Now combine our on-blockchain encrypted messaging with our free encrypted/anonymous transient messaging and I believe we a have a winner. Better start dumping those WhatsApp stocks ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

We are preparing the upcoming release, part of this release is NXT-PLUS based on 1.5.12 and with the virtual exchange enabled. Assets can be found by typing part of the name or description in the filter box. Try it out here:https://www.mofowallet.com/launch.html#/activity/nxt/assets/latestThe new UI is (at the moment) only available on hosted mofowallet, expect some downtime from time to time while we upload new versions. Try it out here:https://www.mofowallet.com/launch.html#/assets/nxt/12071612744977229797/tradeTheme switcher still available under settings menu, current default theme is named "Google", if you used hosted mofowallet before you will still have "Yeti" theme selected. This theme is named "Slate", total of 19 themes available. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FwYjdQGP.png&t=663&c=w58XGTQ4HZfXhQ) The upcoming Private Assets feature (FIMK only) and the new Email Account Identifiers (FIMK only) are available in the java server code but have not been turned on yet. For this a hard fork is required which will likely be happening in the coming weeks.

But the main method of login will consist of secret URL's that embed the encrypted passphrase in the url, so you'll need to place that url on your toolbar or something or save it somewhere.
Sounds a little scary, but I will reserve judgement until after I see it. Nothing is ever send to the server your key remains client side. Many other crypto projects are doing the same thing. Plus there is basically no difference between either having an encrypted file with your passphrase in it or having a URL with the encrypted passphrase, the latter is just easier to work with. Of course if you need top security for critical accounts the whole brain wallet mechanism remains fully intact, the new developments are more geared to lowering the barrier for when we start developing UI and apps for the average Joe kinda user. We have completed the Private Assets feature which has been running on testnet for a while now. It has been used for demoing purposes by Eliphaz his banking contacts.
Thump! I just passed out and hit the floor. These are amazing developments. I am curious how you maintain security with these virtual exchanges and how it fits in with the main blockchain. Are they decentralized? There is zero risk involved here, all it is basically trying to do is bring the dynamism as is known in the P2P network (which goes beyond the reality we see each time a block is forged) directly to the client. So in a way the client 1-on-1 reflects whatever is happening on the network. For this to be possible websocket support had to be added first, which we did a while back the virtual layer now completes it (although it has to be tuned more). Are you working on any kind of cross-chain trading mechanism?
Asset to asset (as opposed to asset to fimk) trading is what we have been preparing for.

Thank you for the update. Nice to see progress!
Progress has been picking up since the start, we're getting more comfortable with the platform every day. But I agree that it might not have been showing that much, as was said before FIMK is not about pumping we have a long term vision and for that to become a reality a lot of 'boring' low level work has to be done first. Some of that work would not have been possible before since a new platform has to be mastered first. ------- One more thing about the new account identifiers. It might have appeared as if everything has to go through our centralized (delegated would be a better word) verification process. That is not the case, everyone can assign their own name@fimk.fi address. It is also possible to assign a @fimk.fi address to an account you don't own but for that you have to provide a digital signature signed by the owner of the account you are assigning the id to. All this functionality will be easily available from all the various clients. The name@fimk.fi addresses will also be fully functional email addresses to which you can send an email. Hosting for those addresses will be provided by the Krypto Fin ry association free of charge and will allow for a whole new set of possibilities (send FIMK to email, get blockchain notifications, fully encrypted emails and 2FA are only but a few).
