What are we, hardcore buddhists that practice radical acceptance of some guy just running away with 5% of the world supply of NXT when we could have just launched a new wallet and denied those to him? If somebody has 5% of the world NXT to play around with, NXT is dead. If the NXT community lets this opportunity go because of some dogmatic ideological belief, NXT will look like a joke and will truely die. The fact we can do this is ADDED VALUE to the blockchain. If you want your transactions to be truely irreversible, then move to a crypto where that is the case (none of them) and stop bowing down the entirely fallacious altar of of the free market.

Et peut-être, ça baisse parce qu'il y a plus de d'offre que de demande? Beaucoup de business qui acceptent le bitcoin mais peu d'utilisateurs du bitcoin, pour le moment.
Et peut-être que ça baisse parce qu'Ethereum vend 4150 BTC en 48h maxi... Si on ajoute les BTC minés sur la même période, cela commence à faire une jolie somme à absorber (+11000 je crois) |

De manière général, le délais dépend pas mal de la banque émettrice : je vois la différence entre la Banque Populaire et Fortunéo!
Avec la Banque Pop, il ne faut surtout pas faire de virement en dehors des heures ouvrées, c'est lamentable de non jours avec l'automatisme.
J'ai fait un virement de Fortunéo hier soir tard et il était déjà comptabilisé chez Paymium à 12h

Les services qui acceptent le bitcoin n'ont pas l'air de dire qu'ils manquent d'utilisateurs, au contraire. Mais il suffit que ce soit majoritairement des "early adopters" qui utilisent leurs bitcoins pour que cela provoque une baisse. Il faut attendre septembre, le mois d'aout est une période très creuse sur tous les marchés financiers. Je vais profiter de la faiblesse actuelle pour reprendre quelques bitcoins (J'avais un peu trop de turbo adossés sur le brent, donc je vais allégé ceux-ci pour du BTC ) |

Could you imagine, one minute if it's not too long for your brain, this little story : Suppose VRC is used by a lot of people in the real life : they buy and sell goods... One day, a crappy exchange is robbed and a few hours he ask the devs to do a rollback... Yeah, great, but in the meantime, a lot of people sold some goods/services for VRC... The rollback will cancelled all the payments, but the buyers will still have the goods/services... Do you REALLY think rolling back the blockchain will be a good thing? Do you really that it won't kill the trust in the currency? I your answer is yes... well... sell some VRC and buy some neurones... |

Je viens de lire une interview du développeur de KryptoRadio et je suis impressionné par la capacité d'innovation d'un petit pays comme la Finlande. Le développeur explique que l'idée date de moins de 6 mois. Je n'ose pas imaginer combien de temps ça prendrait en France pour faire valider le principe de broadcast de la blockchain par le réseau TV national et avoir sa mise en place effective. Il faudrait l'accord du CSA que je ne serais pas surpris, donc cela verrait le jour en 2548 |

Ha non, tout de même pas. Quand tu paies chez un commerçant, surtout pour une petite chose (café, bière, baguette) la rapidité est essentielle.
Cela peut être aussi rapide. As-tu déjà essayé de payer avec Bitpay ou Coinbase? Ton payement est accepté en 5 secondes... Et même si des commerçants ne veulent pas passer par eux, pour de petites sommes ils peuvent se passer d'attendre des confirmations. Pour de grosses sommes, il faudra attendre mais dans ce cas là, cela ne dérangera personne. |

Seems this thread is full of fudders and people trying to ruin the coin! Have seen this same "shiit" at other coins, even 51% attacks that cost money are / were something that happened to another coin for more than a couple of weeks. These kind of attacks / crap was done just to ruin the image from the coin and also the alt scene!

These devs are impressive, if you take time to read how they delt with this. nothing short of amazing. They made me from 98% vericoin supporter to a 100% vericoin Fanboy. I have no intention of any other crypto, not even BTC anymore, way to many people in BTC want to hold it back for whatever reason.
VeriCoin wants to bring more people in, go mainstream. Bitcoin wants to remain niche judging by the words of the ones calling to let the thieves have there way in the name of being a tech purist.
I am going to go with the coin hoping for mainstream adoption with a team dedicated to success and community.
