I made the mistake of eating my food when I wasn't hungry.  Just like real life.   Tongue

Right now?  To Sam's Club to stock up on toilet paper and water.  Smiley

I decided to start tinkering with frequency with just the one.  Here is my code.  Placed within the text_mining bat file.

Code:
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 -u AddressHidden -p x --gekko-newpac-freq 300 --suggest-diff 128

However, I cannot achieve 300Mhz and I am eventually forced down to 200Mhz.  An Asic Plateau.  I have active cooling and the miner is cool to the touch.  Could it be the difficulty?

Edit - for the past 30 minutes or so the frequency has been holding steady at 200Mhz.  However, I have it set higher.

Love the concept.  I just registered and will try it out.
225  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What to do with old miners after the having. on: March 08, 2020, 02:31:56 AM
I will try making  a lot of 1 board  space heaters.

Some and sell them on ebay and here as space heaters that happen to mine.
May seem dumb but I think I could do okay with this idea.

I love the idea and would be interested in what you come up with.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is the new cryptocurrency PI Network another scam or legit? on: March 08, 2020, 02:27:14 AM
I don't know if this is legit or not, but it is taking very little effort on a daily basis.  I get a push notification every 24 hours to start "mining" then I close the app.  I haven't referred anyone or put really any effort into this.
I currently have over 179 Pi.

So lets see what happens.

Yep.  419Mining indicated I could run up to 4 sticks and overclock based on cooling.  I have 1 now.  3 more on the way.  I have the 1 running at 200MHz on CKPool.  When the others arrive Ill slowly turn up the frequency.  Not ready to be playing with voltage.  Smiley

Appreciate all the information.  I ended up ordering this as a starter hub.

Ok - stupid question of the day.....

How is the Active Miner tab sorted?  I cannot see the pattern.  I am number 17 but not sure by what criteria.  Thanks!
The headings at the top are what is listed:
 H/s 1h - H/s 1d - H/s 1w are your hour, day and week hashrate averages.
But...
My old and failing memory says that in order to keep things somewhat `current', the H/s over the latest 5 minute period (updated every 2 minutes?) is what the list is sorted by...
It's not a stupid question because if it's not actually listed then its not actually obvious...
Your 5 minute rate, which can vary quite widely, is shown on your User page, if your curious about that value...

Appreciate it gcanelson!

Six sticks at 600MHz or so, if you can give it enough 12V power.

Thanks sidehack. So if I purchase the GekkoScience 7 port hub from 419 Mining I could use this power adapter set at 12 volts or is that too much for this hub? Next setting down would be 9 volt.

We still have a few in stock and will be replenishing before we run out.

How many NewPac and at what frequency can they run with this hub?

Nice 12.54 x 9800 = 122,892 usd   so who ever you are  congrats!

do not be stupid with the money!

cash some out and hodl some.

Whoever it is, probably doesnt even know he hit a block yet Grin

it is a lot of coin.  it is just about 123000 usd.

i dont think i would tell people i had that much.

Holy cow! Congrats whoever you are.

That is one small miner!

Was he/she mining with USB BTC sticks maybe connected to Raspberry Pi  Grin

I thought ckpool dont allow those  Grin

Why USB Miner should not be allowed? never heard it

USB ASIC miners are fine.  CK does not want GPU's on the pool.

I have been inspired to fire my Antminer S5 back up.  It is currently running on the solo pool.  Here's to hoping!

Hello Everyone,

My graph used to be scaled to show my hashrate so I could monitor and see historical data.  However, now it appears to be scaled much higher, in the PH/s which shows flat for me.  Any ideas how I can revert back to a graph that shows my hashrate?  Thank you.

https://s1065.photobucket.com/user/vickersja/media/Capture_1.jpg.html

Edit:  It appears to be browser based.  Chrome scales fine.  Edge does not.

Hopefully we can discuss the block we find soon.  I am new here but 1430 hours seems like quite the dry spell.
239  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: February 14, 2020, 01:34:29 PM
I just want to point out that we were at 999TH/s.  I turned on my Antminer S5 and we are sitting at 1.01PH/s.

So, you're welcome.  Smiley

Happy mining everyone!
