221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 04, 2014, 03:23:47 PM
you miss understand my comments
i never said SDC was a shit coin
what i'm saying is
theres plenty of other shitcoins out there that wake peoples attention
and once its gone
its hard to bring back
and for your intrest
i didnt miss the ride
i was mining from day one
and hold nearly 2% of the supply
so i;m gonna be one rich mofo if this goes to da moon

I hope u get rich then. The coins with real development and a good community always shine through. SDC is one of those coins. Its only a matter of time before the market prices SDC the same as XC or Cloak.

YEP THE Pump has come and gone
feel sorry for you bag holders at 30k plus
the money is like a merry go round some coins go up and some go down
its a closed loop so a zero sum game for one coin to go up another coin goes down
no new money is coming till at least end of summer
need to build some new momentum
otherwise money is gonna flow into all the shitcoin pumps and dumps coming out this week

You are here why? This is a real coin with actual real development, you cant think it will follow the pattern of the shitcoins. Buy or cry.

volume is dying off
might have to release a new update and features so people dont get left as bagholders
There are already rumors that this will be a big week for ShadowCoin....no worries.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 03, 2014, 03:53:51 PM

Just keep punching out those results. Haven't seen a coin doing this well in a long time.

Feature after feature...wow! Hard to believe this coin is only 3 weeks old.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 02, 2014, 10:00:26 PM
Asking technical questions is trolling?

Seriously, thats even dumber than the "Fudster" talk before.

There's no sane reason you cant answer my questions, you are clearly involved in the team ItsNotMe as the screenshot on the first site proofs.

You are marketing something you cant even explain, and thats my fault? ha...

I am not the dev...I was here from day one and seen this coin deliver and make no promises. You are some kind of narcissistic idiot that thinks you can demand answers without doing simple research. Maybe the guy above said it best...

Dude, the dev said "Stay tuned for more info!"

so... STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFO.  I am sure he will tell us how zk-snarks will be useful in ShadowSend.  Again, today's announcement was clearly a PRE-announcement.

Also, is Bitmessage instant & anonymous?  Because ShadowChat is 100% instant & anonymous.

Quit thinking you are somehow special or a genius and deserve a direct response from the dev when you demand it...you are run of the mill troll...buzz off. If you dont like the coin...leave.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 02, 2014, 09:47:06 PM

zk-snarks per se aren´t only used in Zerocash, i am keen with Zerocash, a system like zerocash doesnt need something like "shadowsend" to be anonymous.
Those zk-snarks can be used for  A LOT of fancy stuff, like Blockchain compression: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=277389.0

My specific question remains: How WILL YOU apply zk-snarks to be usefuel in Shadowcoin and whats your plan with it, if used for anonymity, whats the sense of "shadowsend"?

Also my other 2 questions remain unanswered:

2) Whats better than on Bitmessage? and why you even bothered to rewrite the Bitmessage Whitepaper?
3) I want to know what "We have developed Dual-Key Stealth Addresses" means, as Stealthaddresses are already "two way", and you can send transfers offline of course.

Dude, the dev said "Stay tuned for more info!"

Ignore him...it is clear that he is trolling. He is just being a jackass and wasting our time.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 02, 2014, 09:44:01 PM
but we believe that our implementation is the best currently available and will be used for bitcoin in the near future.

It will be a cold day in hell when Bitcoin Foundation allows anonymity, and if they did what is the point of all these anon alternatives?

I dont think you understand...DarkWallet already has an implementation. Shadow is PoS. Bitcoin will never be PoS.

There is no point to DRK or the CN coins.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SDC] ShadowCoin | PoS with PoW distribution | ShadowChat P2P EM System on: August 02, 2014, 09:27:19 PM
Yes,

you write something and then you put references in.
That's how it works.

But you didn't, nor did you provide any indepth technical analysis, Bitmessage did tho.

Calling someone a "Fudster" or "bagholder" and not answering my questions, very mature, but i guess you cant answer them anyway.

You clearly dont understand about giving credit in a WP. Dude you are FUDing about footnotes and demand a complete response...come'on.

..not much for you to fud here...you are grasping now.

No, i asked questions:

1) I want to know how you apply zk-snarks to "shadowsend".
2) Whats better than on Bitmessage? and why you even bothered to rewrite the Bitmessage Whitepaper?
3) I want to know what "We have developed Dual-Key Stealth Addresses" means, as Stealthaddresses are already "two way", and you can send transfers offline of course.

This is info YOU CAN FIND FOR YOURSELF...www.google.com. "zerocash"

I have already posted this...

Why are you here? You have nothing to post here except for your bull shit FUD, then you demand answers as if you are entitled to the information with out doing your own research...buzz off.

Rynomster is part of this dev team?  Thats not really encouraging considering he walked out on Cinni coin

He delivered the product he was asked to design...he did not "walk out". Damn...now is when they all come out of their holes to spread the BS.

You know you're desperate when you're bitching over footnotes.  Do you even understand how the academic world works?

For sure...no idea how academia works! He is coming across like a true imbecile. FUDing about footnotes is a desperate move.

Introducing: ShadowSend

Hey guys,

I am pleased to announce that we have successfully implemented Anonymous Stealth Addresses into our upcoming wallet release. The stealth system was first described by Peter Todd for use with Bitcoin but to our knowledge, we have developed the first open source C++ implementation of Anonymous Stealth Addresses using OpenSSL.

A version of stealth addresses has been implemented by SX and DarkWallet, but our implementation has been developed completely independent of either project. We have developed Dual-Key Stealth Addresses, which allow transactions to be received even while the wallet is closed, and for security, the coins will not be spendable until the wallet is unlocked. Our stealth solution has been developed for ShadowCoin but we believe that our implementation is the best currently available and will be used for bitcoin in the near future.

This week we will be releasing ShadowSend, a capable, efficient and decentralized anonymous wallet solution that does not rely on coinjoin or any centralized node structure. This wallet will allow transactions to remain anonymous while the stealth address system is used.

ShadowSend's stealth addresses will soon be layered with zk-snarks to further increase security and privacy of the anonymous solution, this will be the first system of its kind available in bitcoin or altcoins.  Stay tuned for more information in the days to follow.

The white paper for stealth addresses has existed since January, for more information on the significance of stealth addresses, please check the links listed below.

FUD

Regarding other projects implementing stealth addresses... that is thoroughly stated & implied throughout the announcement.  It is crystal clear that rynomster gave credit where credit is due, and never stated that they invented stealth addresses.  But they did state that ShadowCoin improved upon currently implemented stealth address solutions through ShadowSend's method.

Rynomster clearly says, "We have developed the first open source C++ implementation of Anonymous Stealth Addresses using OpenSSL. Our stealth solution has been developed for ShadowCoin but we believe that our implementation is the best currently available and will be used for bitcoin in the near future."

He even goes on to say that ShadowSend will be layered with zk-snarks...

Before spreading FUD, why don't you give the ShadowCoin dev team more time to release further information?  Today's announcement appears to be a pre-announcement of ShadowSend... I am sure more detailed information will be released in the days to come.

Because the guy is a CN FUDster that gets off bending the truth to match his elitist view of CN protocol. You cant fix this kind of mentality...if reality does not match their view, they attempt to bend reality to match their view. They are egotistical and narcissistic...why else would they be posting?

First of all, if you write a whitepaper and add footnotes, you have to reference them in the text...But of course you cant because you reworded the text too much.
Second, you basically added a preample (We shadowcoin team believe in human rights blabla) and then reworded the Bitmessage whitepaper letting out all interesting stuff?

So, you cloned Bitmessage basically? Whats the point?

Have you ever used BItMessage? HaHa nope!...or you would not have brought it up. ShadowChat is a much better implementation than BitMessage...sry CN Bagholder FUDster.

ShadowSend promises to as much of an improvement over the current stealth implementations as ShadowChat is over BitMessage.

Look man...CryptoNote is not going to last. There is too much first mover advantage for the BTC protocol.

Pull the FUD stick out of your ass and open your eyes. ShadowCoin is the real deal. Rynomster is a genius level developer...you are going to have to deal with it.

HaHa! Its sooo uncommon to have anon/stealth FUD coming from a CryptoNote bag holder... Wink

That was sarcasm...FUD is all you guys do. GO BACK TO YOUR CN HOLE!

Nice SCAM.

SX is always able to send when offline and there are already tons of coin with Stealthaddresses:

Vertcoin, Execoin, Bitshares, Monero, Boolberry, Bytecoin, Ducknote, Moneta Verde... Fuck who knows, tons of them, fuckface. So go scam somewhere else.

Man your users are so dumb, they cant even read peters writeup and see through your bullshit.
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit it I take it...

"we have developed the first open source C++ implementation of Anonymous Stealth Addresses using OpenSSL."

"A version of stealth addresses has been implemented by SX and DarkWallet, but our implementation has been developed completely independent of either project."

FYI: The announcement clearly states there have been other implementations. ShadowDevs have improved on the idea...go back to your hole.

Taking a gamble and buying some. SO no premine or hidden mine?  Has devs been vetted or proven to be real and not the usual scam coin suspects?

devs a good guy. No premine, none hidden either. All is well. This coin will do well.

Cryptowest reviewed...he posted on this forum  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=700087.msg8111590#msg8111590

Bittrex admins have been really busy lately, so at the request of some SDC investors, I decided to check Shadowcoin's code. I'm not related to Bittrex at all, just giving my personal opinion here.

First of all the dev seems very competent, I can't find any issues or missed edits that he hasn't already fixed.

The code itself looks good, there are no hidden blocks or other tricks, it's clean and straightforward.

The biggest problem I've seen in POW --> POS coins is not having a POS checkpointing server set up properly (I've fixed 5 or 6 other coins with this issue.)  Shadowcoin has a proper functioning POS checkpointing server and the POW end code is correct also.

Everything looks good to me.
