221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: team vs. sovereign token what do you trust more in? on: March 08, 2019, 07:55:14 AM
As they say, two heads are better than one, I believe so much in team work and in my own opinion, I strongly believe that team token is better than the sovereign one reason being that, as s single person, it will be easier to manipulate the system without anyone counter checking any of the actions first.

But when it comes to team, you also need approval or consent of the majority without before carrying out an action, as a sovereign ico, imagine that I suddenly wake up and decided to personally pump the market, to me, it might makes sense without thinking of the negative effect of it why as a team, different suggestion will come as to whether the action is right or not.

It all depends on the idea behind the token, I won't be comfortable to invest in a token created by a team that can't tell us a good idea to which the token is being created.
I believe the idea or concept or invention or solution must be always important regardless of basics of its dev team or backing reserve concerns. I mean without proper idea, I believe no one will touch a new coin/token. That must be a basic criteria for me to start my due diligence for deciding about them.
222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: March 08, 2019, 07:05:55 AM
It is actually possible but I doubt if it is feasible now that the market is not that stable, you can only hope that there will be major bull run in the coin you are holding before that target time but I can’t assure you that you will get it through trading which would have been another way for you to multiply your income but you are not in a stable state of mind which will always push you to trade with emotion thereby always panic see and you might eventually lose your investment.

You can try to give your money to a crypto broker to see how they can help you out. Whatever it is you are passing through, take it to your God in prayer if you believe in one and hold it firm in your heart that you will pay your debt before that time.
223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the things to be considered when choosing the appropriate exchange for on: March 08, 2019, 05:29:38 AM
I have heard from people coinbase is an exchange and wallet where I can start trading but I am still not clear how this works. Someone. Suggest me how to choose the exchange
You may get going with coinbase as they are highly reputed (but not sure about their liquidity and availability of wide range of altcoins and tokens) if you are able to clear KYC. I like to suggest you to go for bittrex where I am trading right now still you need to clear KYC. Binance might be another good exchange with almost all the tokens and coins are available with them and they may allow you to withdraw up to 2 BTC daily without KYC.

advise me of the some exchange names.
Please look into service announcement board for active bitcointalk supporting exchanges.
Check exchanges board for issues and latest opinion by our community.
You may get all the exchanges list from coinmarketcap. Check here : https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/reported
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO IS ALIVE AND KICKING on: March 07, 2019, 09:32:59 PM
Many people see bearish markets as one animal that has legs and pursuing everyone away when most of these ICOs don’t understand that they are the ones controlling their market with their strategies and team member, if most ICOs works so hard to make their project much active successful and useful, the sky will be their limit, ICOS project team needs to do more than just sitting down and also waiting for the BULL RUN without investors, they need to reach out to investors and make their project one you can’t say NO to.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Acceptance of bitcoin as payment! on: March 07, 2019, 07:09:26 PM
This is basically what will make adoption go up, the more places that accept bitcoin as payment the more common bitcoin will get and the higher price will get. People will keep on buying bitcoin and less people will sell bitcoin since instead of selling bitcoin you can just spend it and the person who receives it could potentially sell it but can opt for keeping it as well which is better than the current version.

I have been accepting bitcoin as a payment for over 5 years now and I can assure you I will continue to do so because I am the type of person who would prefer to get paid in bitcoin than fiat, fiat seems illogical to me and seems too much controlled whereas bitcoin looks like it could be the way out of this financial doom we are getting closer and closer everyday.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: UnionBank Crypto ATM To Launch On March 08 on: March 07, 2019, 06:22:52 PM
Bitcoin atm (or better known version BTM as in bitcoin teller machine) is getting more and more popular but I doubt that is the case for getting the adoption rate higher. We need to figure out ways to make the bitcoin world a lot more day to day and BTM's are one way to do it and I support them endlessly however if we could find a way to pay people in bitcoin while they receive fiat instead of bitcoin would be the biggest leap of all.

If I can go to a cafe and pay with my bitcoins on my phone while they basically charge me whatever dollar amount they want and get it on their bank instead of receiving my bitcoin, that will increase the adoption insanely. The problem with bitcoin and the price being stuck as that we can't figure out a way to bring bitcoin into our daily lives.
227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Heat.GG - PVP Bitcoin Gambling | Coinflip + Jackpot on: March 07, 2019, 04:47:57 PM
Is there a certainty that it will come back ? The last message seems a bit pessimistic and confused me a bit and I am sure it confused a lot of others as well. It sounded like maybe it could be gone for good, the way it is worded like its unknown for now. Is it unknown for the ETA to comeback or is it unknown for a comeback at all ?

This website was one of the leading casinos for pvp play and I was hoping you guys would add more pvp games into the roster making it a pvp gambling haven for all of us so it would be sad to see it going. Would love to get a clear answer about if its gone for now and need to wait until it relaunches or should we give up hope on a return forever ?

I hope you guys figure out the coding issue and comeback quickly because you are sorely missed and I wanted to let you know that.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized Gambling Opportunities on: March 07, 2019, 03:39:26 PM
Decentralized gambling is still quite new, it is barely a 2018 thing and will of course grow bigger in 2019 but we are not still so sure about how great it could be.

I mean the biggest selling point is the trust and how people have hard time trusting most of the casinos in crypto so it could be a way to get rid of the trust issues and make sure you are actually gambling fairly without getting screwed but at the same time places like primedice, stake, nitrogen and such are already trustworthy and for years they have been running without any issue so why go with a new place just because you can "trust" them when you already trust your current casino. They need to find a way to appeal to people more than just trust and focus on finding the needs of gamblers and call out on that.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to rise above the price of $ 4000?? on: March 07, 2019, 01:12:53 PM
I think bitcoin price reaching around 4200 dollars all the time and going back down is just a "test" by the big players in the trading world. They are probably trying to test those levels out all the time and see if people are behind them rallying towards higher numbers or not, if they do not see a hype (which there is none) they just let it go down again.

I mean not only they are buying bitcoin at these levels which would mean a lot of profit later when price doubles even triples one day (which we all know one day it will happen, just don't know when) they are also trying to see if people are hopeful about a bull run or not. If there is no money following them there and trying to help them get it over those prices they just let it go back down so they can buy cheap again and test again.
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: March 06, 2019, 03:18:39 PM
We are still a long way from the halving but we can start to see its affects, people have been calculating the costs of mining right now and see the difference between now and what would happen after the halving and realize the cost will get a lot more which should technically make the price of bitcoin go up.

Of course that would be the best option, the cost of creating a new bitcoin making bitcoin price higher is the dream we all have but lets not forget that big miners could mine for a loss a lot longer than small ones which would make the small miners stop mining and drop the difficulty which would make the big miners start making more money thanks to that. We are hoping for a better future but in order for that to happen we need to find a way to decentralize miners as well.
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin mining will be based on POW+POS.. on: March 06, 2019, 02:04:12 PM
Bitcoin had a trouble sustaining the fee's during the 20 thousand dollar times even with a POW system, making it POS would make it even slower and in return means we couldn't really afford the increases anymore. If you could find a way for lightning network and at the same time POS and combine them to work together than we could have a chance but technologically (which I am not really wise enough to talk about) it appears PoW is the only way we can afford right now until a better technology comes.

Hopefully one day we can make bitcoin PoS because miners right now cornering the bitcoin market more than the whales with billions in their pockets, people who mine are controlling the price whenever and however they want and that goes against the decentralized idea of bitcoin, it is just about time we figure out a way to get rid of them.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: New BSP governor had blockchain plans for gov’t budget on: March 06, 2019, 01:04:04 PM
Benjamin Diokno replaced the late Nestor Espenilla, whose term saw the BSP adopt a stance that regulated blockchain and cryptocurrencies, while remaining open to innovations in these technologies.

Full article here: https://www.unblock.news/news/new-bsp-governor-had-blockchain-plans-for-govt-budget
I had to check what is BSP to understand the importance of this news. Maybe it could have been detailed more in the title or at least in the article here, BSP seems to be a bank in Philippines which we know is very very favorable for crypto, they are really into crypto currencies and have been getting good news from that country for a while now so it is not a shock to anyone that they are really working to create funding for blockchain right now.

It won't be right away of course, when a government or a bank decides to put money into something you do not see results in one day, it takes time to see the results of that kind of funding but in the end it appears they will be one of the leading countries in the crypto currency world we are heading towards.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: What the true believers know but don't express well on: March 05, 2019, 05:03:32 PM
What I believe and I think I am a true bitcoin believer is not about the price of bitcoin. It is about the utility of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the way we can actually get to our freedom in financial world, the traditional financial markets are designed to make rich people richer and poor people poorer, sometimes the economy gets so bad that the rich give a bit money to poor so they do not rebel and than the same thing continues to happen.

Sometimes rich people do not even give poor people money and just let the government print out money out of nothing and get the most of it right away and sprinkle the rest to poor making themselves even richer and than taking the rest of the money slowly. Bitcoin can put a stop to this madness and it could be the weapon we have to destroy banks and all that caused this current broken system.
234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best small exchanges that you really like on: March 05, 2019, 01:46:15 PM
I kind of like idax, its definitely not the best out there but that is the point of it, binance is what I deem best for myself but idax is the small one with weird coins. Whenever there is an airdrop or sorts happen idax seems to be one of the first to get those coins, that way we can definitely start trading (or basically selling) those coins. It doesn't have the volume of any other major exchange but compared to small ones its not bad neither, its doing alright for itself.

I think for bounty hunters and people who follow airdrops its one of the best out there. Only problem I have with them is the lack of support, I think its Chinese so their English is not that great which causes some issues while you talk with them, I had a withdrawal issue and had to fix it myself since they failed to help me out.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JPM Coin on: March 04, 2019, 06:53:15 PM
I still think even though I hate ripple to my core this new blockchain method that JP Morgan will use is nothing better than ripple, they could have just went with ripple if the blockchain technology all they care about for their transactions. It would be cheaper and faster and would yield about the same result. Working on creating a system from ground up would be a lot more expensive and will come with a lot of troubles (bugs and glitches and so forth) that they will need to fix whereas ripple already figured those out and works perfectly.

Of course it will not be as simple as just building a blockchain and in the long run (lets say 20 years) they will say they are glad they switched but for now it is not a major news for bitcoin or crypto in general since its only on its baby steps, we need to see it work perfectly before we can say this is what blockchain can change even in huge companies.
236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I do make money in my sleep with crypto ! on: March 04, 2019, 03:53:08 PM
NEVER trust people who tell you you can make money while sleeping. If it was such a great system that could make you money believe me you would have heard about it already. Hell even people like warren buffet would jump all over it. You can not make money while you are sleeping in ways you do not already know.

Can you make profits while having money in the bank collecting interest ? Sure but that would be a small amount, you can always go with that and "making money while sleeping" will be a true deal in that. Stuff like that are either scam or very small amounts.

Look at freebitco.in for example they are giving out money while you sleep as well but thats just yearly 4%, only acceptable and understandable ones are small and tiny and all other huge offers are definitely scams.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to calculate sell after all fees on: March 04, 2019, 02:52:52 PM
Seriously calculating 0.15% or whatever only worthwhile if you are using a trading bot because in trading bots you can have buy sell very quickly and try to make money quickly instead of putting the money down for a long term and having thousands of trades on your account in a week would yield a lot of money lost on fees as well but no other buy/sell should be really disturbed by that small amount.

If you are not trading hundreds of times each day than do not try to calculate the fee's into your trading. It will after all be something so small that a regular even a short term trader wouldn't care about, only high end day traders care about that and they already take into considerations while trading it anyway without a need to calculate it before they start because they do it meanwhile.
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bulls vs bears... what side are you on? on: March 03, 2019, 02:59:36 PM
At this moment I can clearly say I am long on bull, I had enough time to collect as much bitcoin as I can and I continue to get more every week but at this point I am ready for a bull run.

Bear has been a bit good because thanks to the bear I have managed to drop the average buy price low enough to say I am fine with it, if the price went down a bit and went up again that would have been profit too but if it didn't give me enough time I wouldn't be capable of collecting this much bitcoin at these low amounts so I am grateful to bear market, yet no matter how much bear market worked out for me, I am always looking out for a bull for a quick get out.

If we can reach above $6k one day I will probably put a sell order and stop loss just so I can get out before it goes down again, however I need above $6k for that which is fairly bull. After going above $6k and I sell, than it can go back down so I can start to collect again.
239  Economy / Economics / Re: On evolution of prices on: March 02, 2019, 05:00:27 PM
Maybe the lost in interest is true but it doesn't always become a permanent loss of interest, it is the loss of interest for now.

Basically, someone who got burnt during the 2018 horrible year will probably leave bitcoin for a long time, it will not return to bitcoin to check day to day stuff, will not check prices or news or developments.

Moreover, believe me many of them will return when bitcoin goes above 10 thousand, same happened to a friend of mine for example during the 2014 deal, he was around here almost everyday and decided to quit during the fall to 200 dollars and I understood that, was expectable yet he came back when bitcoin reached back to over 1 thousand dollars (good timing).

Hence, do not expect all the hype that there was and we lost is gone forever, it will probably come back.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Does cryptocurrency have more black swan events than other assets? on: March 02, 2019, 03:58:09 PM
Found an interesting data analysis about comparing the tail-risk of crypto and traditional investment.

Would love to share here: https://medium.com/sophonexchange/does-cryptocurrency-have-more-black-swan-events-than-other-assets-c274ad26a5c2?source=friends_link&sk=2c11740350c92ec0161a9525faaa5b35
Considering bitcoin is not regulated than those stock market it is something expected to be a bit of a speculative market.
I mean of course when apple publishes their own q1 and if its not what people like to see it will drop but the difference is when a bad news comes up in a stock like that it dropps apple not the whole market. Whereas if a bad news comes up about bitcoin whole market goes down.

That is why I do not think that this is a bad case for bitcoin, in fact it could be used for our advantage because yes on bad news it looks bad but on good news its good, something about bitcoin that has nothing to do with say xcoin can increase bitcoin of course but can also increase that xcoin even tough it had nothing to do with it. Use that to your advantage and its great.
