221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Smooth a Hypocrite ? on: June 17, 2016, 02:10:03 AM
Wow, hats off. This thread got to be one of the most insightful in crypto land. Posts on a level as we can enjoy here are rare to come by. Shelby and Smooth discussing all things crypto and distribution.

222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Smooth a Hypocrite ? on: June 15, 2016, 09:04:12 PM
Smooth is not a hypocrite.

Smooth certainly is not a hypocrite. He's a honest and trustworthy dude who won't refrain from speaking out.

iamnotback certainly knows that smooth is one of the good ones and that his opinions are interesting and important.
223  Other / New forum software / Shadow / Stealth Type of Ban Please on: June 15, 2016, 08:59:56 PM
Top Definition. shadowban. Banning a user from a web forum in such a way that the banned user is unaware of the ban.

It would be nice if the new forum could have an option implemented that enables admins to ban people in a way that they still can log in to their account and are not notified that they are banned. If they post something only they themselves can see that they're posting whereas everyone else would not see any trace of this user. This prevents the user from creating new account(s) as they believe they're still taking part in the discussions.

There are two main reasons for people to still believe in Ripple
1. Newbies to crypto who don't know better, yet
2. Utter illusion
I am not a newbie!

Greetz

I never posted nor thought that you are a newbie, good sir.

Don't be fooled by these announcements. The ripple people are dangerous.

Ripple has been dead for 2 years. It never left the ground and engineers moved on.

There've been several desperate attempts to forcefully bring it back to life, yours is not the first. These attempts never worked and never will.

corporatized crypto schemes like Ripple just don't cut it
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Me? on: June 14, 2016, 07:57:27 PM
Yes I am.

I can prove it in multiple ways. Its just a matter of what type of proof you would like Smiley

Okay.

Post a picture of yourself holding your ID card and a piece of paper that says   I am kingcarsen, a previously anonymous character involved in the creation and issuance of worthless cryptocoin tokens that I intentionally hyped up and sold to the poor souls who don't know better.

Judging from the strong affinity to post very long and often cryptic walls of texts, Gustav and Spoetnik could be related. Same family? Cousins?
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Warning] Spoetnik is not amused ! on: June 14, 2016, 07:53:07 PM
Spoetnik could be buying more Monero for a happy eureka moment in the future. I bet he will be amused.

Spoetnik is not as bad as he appears to be guys. Got to read between the lines and see through
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 14, 2016, 07:46:23 PM
Guys! Please use only official clients! At the moment, there are only 2 types of clients - Wallet from index file and Chrome app. Other wallets are created by third parties. You can use them, but at your own risk. We categorically do not recommend using third-party wallets. Waves team is not responsible for third-party wallets.

To make sure that you're doing well, use these links only

You can download the Lite client from this link:
https://github.com/wavesplatform/WavesGUI/archive/v0.3.0.MAIN.zip

You can download the Chrome app from this link:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wavesliteapp/kfmcaklajknfekomaflnhkjjkcjabogm

And use these instructions:

Hello. Thank you! Are you part of the waves team? Could you please post the MD5 hashes of the software?

Thank you in advance, good sir.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you like to buy with Bitcoin that you can not? on: June 14, 2016, 07:43:52 PM
I don't really believe in buying anyway thus it doesn't matter to me if there's anything I can't buy with Bitcoin or not. At the end of the day we don't really need all that anyway.

That question naturally comes to mind when somebody posts such a detailed guide that explains how to pull off such a scam scheme.

This person must have learned this somewhere.

It's not rocket science. But you sound a bit sore. You alright?  Cheesy

You don't have to justify yourself, gustav. You got pretty much caught in flagrante delicto.

You laid it on the line, so that's okay.
234  Other / Meta / Re: If BitcoinEXpress was a mod, what would happen? on: June 11, 2016, 09:36:00 PM
Mate this is a quite stupid topic.

~BCX~

I'm sorry, I go into conniptions at times.  I was and am still genuinely interested in what would happen if such a strong character as yourself would suddenly be in charge of global moderation privileges.  It's almost unpredictable how that would turn out.  A stimulative thought however.  Unpredictability can be very interesting, hence my thread. Apologies for my stupidity.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't Zimbabwe adopting Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2016, 09:29:43 PM
After having repeatedly failed in adopting foreign currencies, including usd, Zimbabwe is now trying to solve problems by issuing bond notes. Why the hell don't they adopt btc??

The more interesting question would be the opposite. Why would Zimbabwe want to adopt Bitcoin?

Please answer this question, the_poet, to shed some more light on the intentions of your thread.

Thank you in advance.

New wikileaks  Grin?

Hello Pavel1995, thanks for promoting your new Twitter account. Please tell us what you have on your mind, sir.

What do you plan on doing with this new account of yours?
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create the illusion of 11million$ marketcap with only a 100k$ presale on: June 11, 2016, 09:23:35 PM
So you have done this before, gustav? How many times have you managed to pull off this money-grab scheme?

lol. I didn't but maybe you?

edit: ah, i see, spamming referals ...

That question naturally comes to mind when somebody posts such a detailed guide that explains how to pull off such a scam scheme.

This person must have learned this somewhere.
238  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for a bit of info about my profile on: June 11, 2016, 09:22:44 PM
That's a good system! Thanks for clarifying.

It's a nice system, isn't it? It's much nicer than just the usual boring post count. It could even be improved upon by implementing even more complex activity ranking algorithms in the future - EpochTalk would be a place to have this engineered.
239  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you have Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2016, 09:20:58 PM
I can't vote on your poll because the options are very bad. The question of why you have Bitcoin all comes down to the question of to Have or to Be?
Modern society has become materialistic and prefers "having" to "being". The great new promise of decentralized money... Do I have Bitcoin because I want to be rich? Nope. Do I have Bitcoin because of what it represents as a vision? Yup.
240  Other / Meta / Re: Members with many accounts on: June 11, 2016, 09:15:02 PM
There are folks on Bitcointalk who have 2,3,5,10 or even 15 accounts and more. There are many reasons to have a bunch of accounts, fun, propaganda, signature campaigns, schizophrenia &c., you name it.

This forum is very liberal. Do you supports the forum's decision to allow this practice?

What does schizophrenia have to do with owning multiple accounts on a Bitcoin forum? I am schizophrenic and I own only one Bitcointalk account
People mistake schizophrenia with multiple personality disorder all the time.  That's my guess.   Hope you're in remission.

I'm sorry if I was being offensive by including schizophrenia on the list but I too suffer from this condition.

I don't mistake it with multiple personality disorder as The Pharmacist has kindly suggested here.

I don't operate a multitude of accounts either, I happen to have only 2.

Personally I don't mind people having plenty of accounts - problem is not quantity but quality.

Some people only post crap - that's all they ever do. Several accounts of those people and toxicity bubbles up.

On the other hand, some people are like genuine sunshine. Several accounts of those people make life brighter for all of us.
