Yes that would be a temporary disturbance. As long as the Old Silkcoin chain is emptied then the coins are either in SLK or Silkcoin.new. In the end Silkcoin.new will die out. |

So someone has created another coin 25 days ago called Silkcoin.
Also paid for a blockchain explorer on CryptoID.
Seems very pointless.
Not traded and only 14 or 18 addresses in total on the network.
traK do you have any ideas? In any case im not concerned. SLK is not to be a stand alone coin, in other words this 'Silkcoin' chain will not be compatible with our future. It's just a waste of time, energy and resources. If in any case a schism takes place between old and new bagholders, in which bagholders are forced to chose between Silkcoin and SLK. We should be able to do a double swap. It's a hassle but we need to look out for our investors: Silkcoin(old) -> Silkcoin(new) -> SLK(our) Of course the new chain would need to have an individual responsible for it, and he would need to cooperate to prevent double spending. |

Silkcoin trading is becoming very strange to me. Does anyone have an idea? I mean there's no reasone why 5btc should appear in the books unless something is moving under the hood.
Someone put up a 2.7 BTC buy at 430 and someone took the opportunity to get out. I don't think there's much else that can be read into it. I mean in a smaller scale it was the same that happened some weeks ago when we saw 30btc volume in single day and it seems to me there was no reason for that as well. Anyway, I missed that buy, thanks for updating. Yeh well there is no work being done on Silkcoin so anyone with a decent mind will take the opportunity to get out. Just depends how long you die hards keep buying into 'dont worry! Our secret plan is coming!' which of course has nothing to do with silkcoin. All of us devs have donated 10s or 100s of hours into this project so it is difficult to tolerate his behaviour. I do take it personally when he tells me my commit is worthless. I'm sorry to hear, and I understand it is getting to the lot of you, but the man has no standing. Don't let him be the judgde of your work, he's only out there to frustrate because he lost control over the project. Control that's what it's all about. Politics. The funny thing is back in 2014 I told Arteleis that in order to have a decentralized structure the head needs to be cut off. But now that his head is off and we are decentralising our efforts his puppet comes in screaming faul play. Arteleis should just hang and his followers should accept that. traK4Ubitl, I guess its hard to seperate yourself from your identity/project/child, but it must be done. How else would you achieve decentralisation? The King must truly die and only resurrect in spirit! The underlying theme of this project, for those that can see it, is bloody briliant. |

No algorithm is ASIC resistant. You say you want to take over Silk but never offer any meanful input or insight; just coarse critisim. You know what they say about critics? As a hardware developer as well, you're almost correct on the algorithm portiion - unfortunately, that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Tthere's no such thing as ASIC resistance. The CPU you mine on is an implementation of general purpose shit on top of ASIC shit, to put it very simply. Anything a CPU/GPU can do, an ASIC can do better, given enough money. Now, here's where your logic breaks down: The point was never ASIC resistance - it was to make ASIC development and production unprofitable for an extreme amount of time, ideally such that most of the coins have been emitted before this. The cool thing is that everytime traK4Ubitl bashes dev credibility, a credible dev speaks up. In time the chance that the project is not just vaporware becomes 1, even for traK4Ubitl.
