221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20mb block increase = 20 times more transactions possible? on: May 27, 2015, 02:22:23 PM
As far I understand one transaction has around 200-250 Bits and it has to send two times (One from sender and one from recipient). That means, we could process with a 20MB block around 60-90 tx per second.

Is that right?

What do you think about that above?

currently we have 100.000 transactions per day so round about 1 per second...
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 20mb block increase = 20 times more transactions possible? on: May 26, 2015, 03:29:45 PM
Hi all,

is it right, if we increase the block size to 20MB, there will be 20 times more transactions possible? Currently we can process round about 3-4 transaction per second. That means we would be prepared for 60-80 transactions per second?

Thanks for an answer!

I dont understand, why Ethereum, Maidsafe etc. are building there own Blockchain. If I understand it correct: A Blockchain is only secure as there are miners which are securing the Network. Bitcoin has currently roundabout 330 petahash power. As a consumer I would prefer to store my data on the Bitcoin Blockchain as on Ethereum or Maidsafe or do I get it wrong?

Thanks for an answer
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mining in Germany? on: May 20, 2015, 02:30:59 PM
Hi,

do you know a mining farm in Germany? I would like to visit one and have quick chat with the miners.

Thanks in advance
227  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet for presentation purposes - fast & easy to set up on: May 20, 2015, 08:32:41 AM
try out YardWallet. I will send 1mbtc for you to test it out.

Thanks for recommendation but 1. step "enter email address" 2. Step "insert verification code" ...not feasible in a short UBER pitch.

Any other ideas?

I didnt like that he showed me the seed phrase. I know that this kind of security is definitely recommended but it is really just for demonstration purposes. Lets say I try to pitch a UBER driver about bitcoin and tell him Im going to tip you with Bitcoin. The set-up has to be fast and easy. An app like rush wallet would be nice

Bither for iOS.

Thanks for suggesting Bither but it is from my view not looking user-friendly and you need to many steps Sad
230  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet for presentation purposes - fast & easy to set up on: May 19, 2015, 07:56:33 AM
Im using Greenaddress but you cant set it up in lets say 30 seconds. You have to write down the 15 words etc. People are already annoyed just doing that...

I would like to have a wallet which is really fast to set up and looks good. Ive downloaded hot wallet by paymium SAS and just needed couple of steps. Any other suggestions?

232  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Wallet for presentation purposes - fast & easy to set up on: May 18, 2015, 01:06:16 PM
Hi all,

do you know a wallet which I can tell people to download (Android and IOS) which is fast to set up? Im very often talking to people about bitcoins and then I would like to send them 50 cents or 1 Dollar. I need a wallet which you can set-up very fast, easy and is also very user friendly...do you know any?

Thanks in advance
233  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Bitcoin Address start with 1 or 3 on: May 18, 2015, 12:38:48 PM
Hi all,

so far I know a bitcoin address which starts with 1 has only one private key and a bitcoin address which starts with 3 has multisignature so 3 private keys. Is this kind of sense transferable to if I see a address starting with 5 or 8 it has this amount of private keys?

Thanks very much for an answer Smiley
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 but how? on: May 15, 2015, 09:59:54 AM
Do you know how tiny the amount has to be or does it depend on the data which is going to be stored?
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin 2.0 but how? on: May 15, 2015, 09:14:45 AM
Hi all,

I have a question regarding the Bitcoin 2.0 idea like smart contracts, digital rights etc.

How is this going to work? If I understood it right, it is possible over the code "OP-Return" to implement additional data. My question now: If someone is going to exchange or store smart contracts does he has to own Bitcoins or to pay with Bitcoins?

I hope you understand my question otherwise just ask and I try to be more precise.

Thank you very much for an answer Smiley
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference gigahash and gigahertz on: May 15, 2015, 07:48:52 AM
Thanks very much for the fast reply.

If I understand it correct, there is only a difference regarding the operation but the speed is the same (1 per second).
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Difference gigahash and gigahertz on: May 15, 2015, 07:30:38 AM
Hi all, I would like to know if 1 gigahash is the same as 1 gigahertz? Thanks in advance for an answer Smiley
