Hi,
My 808 Wallet has 360k. Minting for 24 days but still not staked yet. Has been showing probably within 24 hours of 100% for a few days now. Probably within 10 min showing 10.92%. What is the longest period it could take to stake?

check your block using coin control instead of the minting tab Click on the settings tab in your wallet and then options, a box will pop up with some options now click on Display. You will see 2 options and the box you want to check is "Display coin control features (experts only)" once done click apply then okay. Now once you have done that and closed the pop up window click on "Send coins" tab in your wallet and you should see the Coin control features Click the "Inputs" tab and a window will pop up then you will see Tree mode and List mode. Click list mode. |

Is there a subsequent down payment, as does coin 1337? If so, when and how?

Hi, everyone. I am a newcomer.
I need your help.
Though I just downloaded the 808wallet for MacOS, it seems not working, not connecting to network.
At the lower right of the window, it says "0 active connection to 808 network".
Could you give me some help? Are there any thread relate to setting the wallet or something?

To use that Mac version You will need to make a 808.conf file and use some addnodes https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/808/ for an up to date list. |

If I'm correct, I thought I read that this Wallet can find blocks. What is the block reward from finding a block via the wallet?
To mine sha256 pow blocks and actually get anything you will need an asic. To mine pos blocks you need to have a balance of 808, after that sits for 8.08 days it starts to mine a pos block that will be 17%+ of your starting block. |

Can anyone confirm if v1.1.2.2-gd0cbc83 is the most recent wallet version?
Looks like i need to change the version numbers, will add that to the list for next release. Newest version has front logo, blockbrowser, new checkpoint, some other fixes, and built in nodes. The old version is still 100% compatible. |

is the deposit/withdraw fixed with this coin yet? Why Explorer is still down? Problems never get too far form 808..
Thank you for the feedback the explorer is up now. Read the posts above and you can see the explorer is getting moved to a new vps, the old one needed maintenance this morning so i took it down for a minute. Once the new one has all the data loaded i will redirect it to explorer.808bass.space. The new one is loading here http://54.211.136.26:3001 . |

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/808coin/#charts has updated to pull info from the blockexplorer. I have just rebuilt the blockexplorer on a new vps, the old one ran out of hd space it was causing it to hang. I will redirect the domain when its finished updating.

What miner should I use for the 808 pool? Can you post a link and instructions on how to configure the miner?
Would be the same setup as mining bitcoin at a lower difficulty. Can vary a bit from hardware to hardware. CGminer is a well known mining software. This wrapper looks nice at a glance for cgminer but i have not researched it farther than that. https://sourceforge.net/projects/easyminer/ |

You can not mine this one, 808 is POS coin. You just need to buy bucks of 808 coin and keep in your wallet for few days, and you will get reward from staking 808 is pos/pow you can still mine pow. sha256. 808 pow block rewards decrease as pow difficulty increases, difficulty changes every block. |

For me it takes 8 days I oon my wallet every 8 days for my reward and often leave it on for two days till it goes through. I think it's about your weight. Bit I can't help untill I get more info from you guys.
I'm staking with just four small amounts: 800, 4100, 2800, 4499. It could take 6+ months to stake those small blocks. Block size = mining power. PoS is mining. The amount needed to stake quickly, fluctuates with the PoS difficulty. No penalty for large blocks, quicker staking means more compounding as well. I try to at least have hundreds of thousands in each block if not 1 million+. I agree about it taking a long time to stake. However, I am not sure about the compounding. Dont we get around 2% interest per day if we dont get a stake in that day? It will result in the getting the same amount of coins, irrespective of when we get the reward, isnt it? no. for example. At 2% a day say you stake 1 time in 30 days. 60%. Compare that to 20% every 10 days x3. Using 1k 808 for an example. #1 you have 1600 coin, #2 you have 1728. Player #2 will continue to outpace player #1 at an ever increasing exponential rate. |

So this is like solo mining? I always thought POS was more like pool mining where everyone got paid.
I've gotten paid in staking similar size amounts in several wallets (RAIN, Doubloon, Piggycoin, Growthcoin, Linda, and Noble).
For 808 coin, correct solo mining. Tiny amounts can stake if over a long period of time gain enough weight(coinage), they get very lucky, or the PoS diff is low. |
