221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Mining Pool (+5% more then ethermine.org) HiveOn.net on: September 04, 2018, 11:55:35 AM
Hi there hard working miners.

No idea if people knew this, but there is a new pool out quite recently, called http://hiveon.net (from the developers of the HiveOs system).
I have been using it for a few days now to test, and the results are insane.

Daily i make about 5-7% more ETH than on ethermine.org.

They also have a great support on telegram and the dev's are really active, also working on Monero pools and more!
Already 4.7Thash on the pool and a 0% fee.

Feel free to test it out, and post your own results!  Wink

I am new (lately got interested) to this mining things. I have heard about other mining pools as well. My question is: How do I pick one?

Pick a decent pool from a coin you want to mine
- Proven pool with 99.99% uptime
- Pool luck as previously mention
- On time payout
- Great Support

Quote
What criteria should I follow? People who setup a mining pool what benefit they get? I am sure they do not do charity.

I will appreciate if anyone enlighten me with these information.

Thanks

A lot of pools offering a small to no fees

other pools offers auto conversion to BTC for payouts or thru supported coins you like

nicehash, miningpoolhub, yimmp

at the end, its up with you from what pools your comfortable with

222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining With Browser? on: September 04, 2018, 09:09:19 AM
actually browser mining is design for office guys like me
i mining Nimiq and JSE now
using company's PC and electric

unless you're the owner, using company's resources for personal interest is often against the rule of company code

just ensure you will not get caught of course

JSE mining uses your CPU resources, so I guess you are not doing it  while doing your normal job as it might slow down your PC

223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: September 04, 2018, 08:21:06 AM
One strategy that works best in times of fall in the market is to remain calm, and not allow yourself to be blown by panic. Just hold the tokens with large caps and even if possible, buy more tokens and hold. For some coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it is always certain that whenever there is a fall, there is definitely going to be a rise.

What will you do when the market falls?

I do not worry when the market falls, I see it as a cycle and I even feel comfortable when that happens. It gives me the opportunity to make more money. I often hold many USDT to wait for the market to fall down so to invest. Grin

Its a part of market flow

And visible to Technical analysis

so no need to be worried, instead make it use to have profits

if you know it would probably fall, then go shorts

just dont forget your risk managements
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not be Greedy on: September 04, 2018, 08:00:26 AM
I support your comment. Greed is the reason for a great loss. And it is also the reason behind creation of shit coins. Without greed, the cryptocurrency terrain would grow beyond prediction.
Right.Learn to control one's greed because if not,it will only lead you to a great loss.Do not think of such exaggerations, contentment is also needed if you want to take profit even if its not that huge.

What could possibly trigger a greed is the mindset of taking back what has been lost for a day

Don't over do it, it could possibly lead to deeper dip

We have a lot of days ahead to possibly get back what been lost

Shill and have a great mindset to start over

225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you monitor live chart?? on: September 04, 2018, 07:44:48 AM
Hello ,

As a new member for this field , I am facing this problem too.

Its very hard to monitor every tokens that I have in my hand.

So if there is a single live chart to monitor every live charts , Please inform me also.

Thanks a lot.

Tradingview has this feature

You could add what coins or tokens that were supported you like to check

you could also download its app thru mobile where you could monitor prices and charts

so far a very useful tool in my hand
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: September 04, 2018, 07:34:01 AM
Thanks for your information. For me, before investing in a project, I will analyze the market, coin, chart, track the project thoroughly and finally design a plan for myself. When I reach the target I will sell immediately, emotions will not affect my trading. When too many losses, I will stop and travel to rest, until the emotions no longer affect the trading I will return.

setting targets is one of the key, once hit, happy emotions got in, but still emotions are there

it must be a trade in purpose and goal first, and emotions are followed

this is also applied in losses, not everyday is a happy day

learn to call it a day when it should be

227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining: Seeking guide in English language on: September 04, 2018, 07:12:40 AM
Good guide with all the steps for getting started mining ETH on Windows with both AMD and Nvidia.

https://www.mining.help

Thank you mate. I am on it... I finished watching this video and for so far the steps are:

1. Calculating the ROI: Electricity cost and stuffs I have no idea how these terms works. I guess 1st I need to know how much electricity cost here.

It would be dependent on what would GPU you would buy, the guide almost cover it all

GPU consumptions already posted by Vann for RX580

2. Finding a motherboard

the guide posted an often used boards, however if you like more to choose from this will help

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2963048.0

3. Buying some GPU: Which one should I buy?

Since you pointed out a coin to mine, ETH

AMD GPU is more advantageous however it needs a proper mod to unleash its full potential and power savings

228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I handle crypto regret on: September 03, 2018, 12:12:45 PM
When you decide, you should make sure your decision fit your prediction. Do not try to use prediction which base on your emotion. This way will kill you. You should have a combination tactic. You choose a token for long term hold then use 70- 80% of your money to buy. 20- 30% invest in ICOs or other coins for daily trading.

The last statement is for Holder

the problem with it is the ability to choose the right token, if you had choosed a sh*tty coin and dipped close to zero value, your emotions may be worsen

Also true with ICO's, a lot of scammy coins out there

Better to learn TA's, study volumes and market, it might educate you which coin to be worthy to be hold
229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common Errors of Trading on: September 03, 2018, 06:06:14 AM
1. time problem

It could be done on your target price

mostly doing it via your TA's

2. wrong buying time
3. wrong selling time

Setting entry points and exit points, if you got confirmations its a best time for me

4. not consistent with prices

Not sure what this means, prices are normally inconsistent

5. do not have a target

same at numbers 2 & 3, set also your stop limits
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: September 03, 2018, 05:15:29 AM
Hold your ground guys, the new RTX is not worth to even try.
So, the ASIC company will be more aggressive to enter the market I think. NVIDIA just rolled their blunder this time. After that, before even try to realize their mistake, NVIDIA profit will be then killed by Xilinx.

Unfortunately FPGA's are not for small people. It is also hard to sell that kind of hardware when a new one is out. With GPU's, You can still manage to resell it a half or third of the price.

Yep, easier to resell.

If you got those FPGA's, probably selling isn't in your vocabulary

and would probably look for a better/next coin to mine, as it could also changed algo compared to ASICs

I've known a lot of ASIC's with almost low to no resale at all

and now a door stopper

231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: !STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE WITH FAKE MINERS! WARNING FOR NEW MINERS! on: September 03, 2018, 03:44:36 AM

Seems like a Devfee to me

it has first 3 characters identifier

ASM,ATK,CHP,Del,Lim,III,Lol,Nut,scj,see,stk,win

I wonder what it represents

232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: September 01, 2018, 03:55:54 PM
https://bitsonline.com/ether-2-eth-block-reward/
Devs agreed on 2 ethers per block reward instead of 3 as it is now. This will happen with the coming fork in October together with a delay of the difficulty bomb by a year. Last November happened something similar, if I recall correctly. Then the reduced time for a block compensated the miners, so we got the same profit at the end. I hope it will be the same situation this October, or else the mining will end for those with expensive electricity.
I watched some of the dev meeting and they mentioned giving a grant to implement progpow to render asic useless which hopefully will happen than all the other dagger coins will follow, the monero devs are working on a new fork that not only keeps asic from mining but fpga's I think this is awesome and will screw bitmain now only if zcash would do something but the way zooko talks he don't give a shit about gpu miners who made him rich

Seems like a GPU manufacturers butting in

its a big business of course

and if these were true great news for GPU miners, light hopes still there probably

Hope my 480's will way still make some kicks with the new HW coming in
233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Loss Trading on: September 01, 2018, 02:22:39 PM
I know a lot of professional traders who don't use stops at all. If you trade on bitmex with margin thou it's a different story.

Bitmex, known as a manipulative type of exchange

a whooping ups and down and home of annihilating whales

there's a certain point that analysis is right but will negate and go back to its track just to liquidate other high margins

in order to protect your bets, stop loss is your friend

unless you have a low to none leverage then you might not need it
234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading on: September 01, 2018, 04:59:56 AM
the point is to lose, the trader must be able to control the emotions of feeling panic that must be avoided because panic can throw you into loss and you don't waste the opportunity to profit
very difficult, maybe very easy to say.
but in practice this is very difficult, it's because of money problems and anyone needs it. It is inconceivable if you lose your money in one click in trading. this is very draining and emotional.

The question really is how? how to control your emotions?

it really depends on each persons perspectives, acceptance and behavior

others might suggest, start with small amounts and trade with an amount you can afford to lose, however emotions are still there

How to get over it, there are ways which you yourself could actually tell what would be the most effective way

Either learning on the hardway, losing over and over

or learning on a virtual and paper way

235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money when the market drops? on: August 31, 2018, 11:45:51 AM
Yes of course buy low sell high is the best option when the market drops. And usually that is the most applicable on any market problems Smiley

Not sure if you really do trading my friend

a certain statement of " Buy low Sell high" is not an easy word in the world of trading

you seem to buy when market drops, however you had no idea either it could go much much lower than expected

Some folks ended up at buying low, and selling even lower at the end of the day

236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive in a bear market and cut out losses on: August 31, 2018, 04:33:54 AM
This is a quality piece; I like how you illustrate your method with an example as well as that last bold–sentence. However, in my experience, I found that cutting losses and recouping is usually harder than holding, and by the time you recover your losses, the market rebounds and you find out that you would have profited more if you had waited it out. Besides, trying to recoup puts a lot of pressure on you, and makes a feeling that always kicks in whenever you trade that it almost becomes like pathological gambling chasing behaviour.

I feel you bro, this is well experienced in BTC

seems its a different behavior with alts

We should have a different approach in BTC tradings, normally setting cutloss to a higher thresholds compared to trading in alts

However if I've got twice or thrice hit on cutlosses, time to Pause and reset the plan, proving I am on an opposite directions
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does auto trading bot make good profit ? on: August 31, 2018, 03:48:28 AM
I think bot trading is some kind of cheating. And also, just a little mistake may lead to catastrophic consequences. I remember a story when bot made an order a fraction of a second later than it should and company lost dozen of mln $. I trade by myself, manualy. Tracking my coins with analyser https://coinsharbor.com/
Check it out, if interested. Well made and functional service!

Nah, its not cheating

its called automation, exchange allows it

you still have control of it, setting configs, threshholds, strategies, limits, etc....

so when a story comes telling they got REKT on bots, its called "Stupidity"

Don't give a Mln dollar to machine you don't even know how it operates, what its weaknesses, flaws and strength

238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining With Browser? on: August 31, 2018, 03:36:51 AM
I put coinhive on one of my websites to test it out, but some browsers are starting to flag it, causing trust issues with users.
It didn't make very much, like $20 over the course of a month, and this is on a website with thousands of daily visitors.
I think the only way it could make decent money is if you have a ton of traffic, and I am talking hundreds of thousands a visitors per day.
Else its not worth it.

Something is not right

when you have a ton of traffic basically you have a decent and good site

As you've observed not only the users browsers flagged those mining scripts embedded but also with AV's

as a result, your site visitors would probably decreased compromising web traffic into small profits on web mining

If the site is a selling web, that is a bad in business
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: August 30, 2018, 01:31:22 PM
There's no strong signal that we are now entering in a bull run, this can be a bull trap since the volume is quiet not good for me. Maybe whales are still not coming in. If we reach $8000 - $8200, I can say that bull trend is really in our hands now. For now, don't make any conclusion about the current trend because you might loose your money again. Wait for some good confirmation before you sold or buy coin. Smiley

Same here, Volume is indeed questionable

the spikes seems like a bull sacrifice to pleased fellas

Still waiting for higher confirmations before declaring a bull

Still FUDS are incoming this ETF sept decisions

and btw careful guys, seen 60M Tether out from exchange, seems a major plan is coming ahead

240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychology of waiting on: August 30, 2018, 12:58:08 PM
I have now heard a lot of people talking about they are waiting for bitcoin to drop, so that they can buy bitcoin. But these guys might have said that since 6k$ and are still waiting. What do you tell those people, to try and make them understand that waiting for a drop can cost them huge percentage gains?

I'd like to congratulate those people you've heard from December 2017, wait is truly paid off (If they have truly wait)  Grin

nothing to make them understand, seems they do know what they're doing and anticipated this event

TBH I myself couldn't realized until mid Feb that BTC is really going down

It give a way to open door and to understand TA's and trading much more

and Voila, it explains it
