221  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plan if no significant move on Bitcoin price along with the halving? on: December 23, 2019, 12:53:05 PM
You sound like the superior over Bitcoin. You are like threatening to leave Bitcoin if halving will not give you the price that you want. Well, do not hope that it will pump high in the coming months. Halving is already known beforehand. And it cannot be enough to pump the price high. For me, I will keep hodling regardless of the price after halving.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is KuCoin better than HitBTC for trading altcoins? on: December 23, 2019, 12:24:09 PM
Hi Everyone!

I hope you're having a great week. I just published our latest article on comparing KuCoin to HitBTC to discuss which exchange is the best for trading altcoins.

What exchange is the best for altcoin hunting?

What exchange would you consider the best exchange for trading altcoins? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Looking forward to chatting!

The fees of HitBTC are not that friendly. They are high. The trading fee is already reduced if I am not mistaken but the withdrawal fee remains the same which is high.

There are altcoins that are listed on HitBTC that are not on KuCoin in the same way that there are also altcoins that are listed on KuCoin that are not listed on HitBTC. They are equal on that footing. It is up to your which particular altcoin you wish to trade.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Concentrate more on the technology and give less attention to price value. on: December 23, 2019, 12:01:36 PM
But could someone explain why for example IOTA lost 95% of its value? IOTA keeps developing, making partnerships, technologically elsewhere than at all time high price. Similiar happened to all altcoins. 95% loss is not normal correction on classic markets, so it makes you think about the price and not only about the technologies. If you buy now IOTA for 100USD, you will get 3000USD when it reach ATH price again, that also looks pretty impossible.  Roll Eyes

Why compare to the ATH? If you compare the coins to their ATH prices then you will see that they are all losing so much value. Even Bitcoin and Ethereum are losing big value if you are going to base your perspective from their ATH. This is not about technology anymore. The crypto market is really overbought the last time.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are privacy coins in a decentralized industry? on: December 23, 2019, 11:35:49 AM
to privacy is to dangerous for underground transaction, i dont think privacy and decentralized coin are popular for daily use,
its only compitable for people that doing illegal transaction on deepweb ( darknet )
You're missing up thing because been privacy and decentralized of a coin totally belong to different characteristics but if you're talking about privacy coin not to be popular use for daily activities I will slightly agree with you because of the government stance about privacy coin.
Mind you, decentralized coin are the most popular daily used coin i.e we talking about coin like BTC, ETH etc.

I don't think privacy coin and decentralized coins are completely two different coins. Cryptocurrency is all about both. It so happens that there are certain coins that are focused more on privacy instead of other features as there are also coins that are solidly decentralized as compared to others. But I think most coins have both amount of privacy and decentralized aspects.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Is IBM is on path to bring blockchain to the masses? on: December 14, 2019, 11:37:29 AM
Blockchain technology will be widespread eventually through various sources including decentralized cryptocurrency and through companies and governments. There will probably be other technologies that develop that may be even better as well.
This is exactly what I mean, Blockchain is not the first option. Recently, I encountered many articles about Blockchain and quantum technology. Google has developed the first quantum computer successfully with unprecedented power, this raises the question of whether iBM or Blockchain still has a foothold? With quantum technology, it can solve everything quickly, if compared in speed, blockchain really cannot compete.

Does one has to replace the other? I am talking about blockchain and quantum computers. Can we not possibly utilize the blockchain technology on top of quantum computers?

I don't have any issue with blockchain for as long as it sticks to being a public ledger. There are apparently blockchain that are private, the ones that are used by some companies, for example. That would defeat the transparency idea that is supposed to be promoted alongside blockchain.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VeChain Foundation buyback address hacked on: December 14, 2019, 11:04:46 AM
Quote
December 13, 8:27pm (UTC+8), the VeChain Foundation buyback address was compromised. Approximately 1.1 billion VET tokens in this address were transferred into 0xD802A148f38aBa4759879c33E8d04deb00cFB92b, the hacker’s address. All the addresses associated with the said hacker’s address have been tagged on VeChainStats, the list is automatically updated as soon as the hacker sends any funds from the original hacker’s address.

https://medium.com/@vechainofficial/vechain-foundation-announcement-8459492ee039

So another hacked was experienced by crypto project. I don't know what much it in dollars but I will assumed its huge amount again. It's sad to hear this kind of hackings in crypto sphere, but then again those criminals are always one step of the game.

I hope these hackers are really not one step ahead of the game all the time. It would not be healthy if that is the case. This would put everything about cryptocurrency questionable and perhaps in jeopardy. Hacking is a common occurrence in the crypto sphere but if it is happening against huge projects affecting millions in the process, there must really be a big question mark as to the security of the wallets. If rich companies cannot get away from these hackers, how much more the ordinary individuals?
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 14, 2019, 05:09:10 AM
No no, of course not. The hype on crypto/blockchain is also fluctuating just like the prices of coins. Crypto is still growing of course but the existing cryptocurrencies right now are less bought because there are so many of them and there are limited investors. Many of these investors are also tired of waiting for that next bull run. Another factor is that there are so many scams that give crypto a dirty reputation. But the adoption is growing, more on blockchain rather than crypto however.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Chainlink (LINK) a good investment? on: December 14, 2019, 04:45:30 AM
On the bright side, LINK is trading in green in a very shaky market. Looking at its performance, Chainlink is one of the highest trading cryptos today and it is still improving in the market. Still, I'm not convinced if that is the project I should invest in. I'm following all their updates and so on, but I would really appreciate your opinion on that.

Chainlink (LINK) has already given huge profit to their early investors. The project is good. They have working products. They have a solid community. In terms of trading, they also have the great listing, volume, and so on. I guess this is a good investment but for long term only. Just like the many top coins that have already created huge market cap and returns or growth it is harder for them to grow x2 unlike when they were still cheaper.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your Bitcoin cash price prediction on: December 14, 2019, 03:57:03 AM
No way for BCH to go much higher. Hype is over and there is nothing that will bring more money to the market.. There is no use for it

Sadly, I agree with this. They haven't really built a community or established an ecommerce network - and they needed to do that to succeed, otherwise what's the point of the bigger blocks?
How you agree that, Basically cryptocurrencies are hard to predict the future pump and dump. The current market is volatile BCH also stay in a backside, may be once BTC will going to moon we see some good growing on all the altcoins. So Hopewell are all waiting for future hype on crypto market.

Bitcoin Cash is not comparable to the leading altcoins. It is honestly a weak altcoin even if it is on the top 10. The hype around Bitcoin Cash is only founded on their claim as the real Bitcoin. Once this claim will finally die as absurd and unfounded, the price of this altcoin will spiral down to the bottom just like the rest of the shitcoins. I think Bitcoin Cash will fall down below the three-digit value in the near future.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Partner or Investor to Start IEO on: December 13, 2019, 10:54:38 AM
Greetings,

one of my friend from Russia he wants to start a blockchain payment system project for Gas stations in Russia .

What currently he have :
- He and his friends  have total 17 Gas Stations in Russian ready to use this project.
- He have one blockchain developer
- He can get a registered Company for this project once all things are ready to go

What he wants:
- He wants a partner or Investor from Russia or from any other country for marketing and to Start IEO.

Website : https://gascoin.cash
Whitepaper : https://gascoin.cash/doc/gascoin_wp_en.pdf

Thanks

What is there to bring into blockchain in this kind of small and local business? Only the payment system of all your friend's gas stations? I don't think you need to undertake a large crypto project with your own developers and even start an IEO with this objective alone. When starting a project, always ask this question, what is new to this project? What problems that millions of people around the world are facing that this project of mine can solve? If this is your goal, I think you should instead open your gas stations for BTC, ETH, LTC, Waves, etc as payment.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: December 13, 2019, 10:29:12 AM
It could also reach $200,000 tomorrow, or maybe tonight. It could also be $1 in 2020.

You and I and the rest of the members of this forum and everyone else who knows about Bitcoin could make their own speculations. We are talking of possibilities here. And everything is actually possible with Bitcoin and crypto. It could last until next year only at the same time it could also last until 500 years. Price speculation of Bitcoin is not interesting anymore because everybody has their own idea, many are wild.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How is MetaMask as an ERC20 wallet? on: December 13, 2019, 09:37:53 AM
I know MEW is primary choice of the most.
So far I know most of my fellow friends that doing bounty hunters are switching to Metamask plugin. Since this Metamask wallet is open source and users control their public key and private key not on any remote servers.

If control of public key and private key is the point, myetherwallet (MEW) has also that full feature. In fact it also has a JSON file as an option to have access to your wallet. And if you consider Metamask better than myetherwallet because it is open source, MEW is also open source.

So, I'd like to know general feedback or known security loopholes of it.
As I have known and I didn't hear a serious complaint about them, I'll consider that their security as of now is safe. I'm one of the early adopters on this wallet too and so far there's no issue on it. BTW, I found articles probably you can avoid the possible hack.
6 Ways a Site Can Attack your MetaMask

Is metamask even a wallet? I thought it is just an extension?
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Trust Libra Coin With Your Money? on: December 13, 2019, 09:14:31 AM
Should we keep on discussing Libra until now? I think the project is already dead for now. There is no more reason to extend the discussion of a project that we cannot see in the near future. It will be revived for sure. We will see how it will make its move in the next years to come. However, right now, it is effectively put to rest by the governments that do not want to see a major player that would be against their own objectives.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MesChain listing on IDEX! on: December 12, 2019, 10:01:23 AM
Big news!  MesChain (MES) listing on Idex.

MES token circulating supply just 750M and price is 2.5 satoshi.

Soon more big news and user case product is coming.

Dont miss the price of this token guys. After big news and Idex listing Meschain MOON.

You are funny. MES Token had just made it to IDEX and then there's going to be moon? I am hearing a Binance or a Huobi? IDEX is no giant anymore. Its overall volume is even falling at less than 50 BTC. Either way, it is not really the exchange that makes a token grow. Growth has to come from the project itself. MES Token may not really be a total shitcoin but it sure has a lot of necessary room to grow. IDEX is a nice stepping stone though.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: From 2020, the sale and custody of Bitcoin will be allowed to all German banks on: December 12, 2019, 09:10:14 AM
This is not just another good news about Bitcoin. The all makes all the difference. And it is not just happening in any country; it is happening in Germany. Sale and custody of Bitcoin in all banks? Can you believe it? One has to rub one's eyes to make sure he is reading it right.

Well, that I guess is the best decision of the German people about the rising inflation and fast eroding of their fiat's value. This decision somehow saves the banks. This could be the main reason why they will continue operating for the next years. They are almost becoming useless with the negative interest rates offer.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is 2.5x more popular than DJIA (world’s strongest financial market) on: December 12, 2019, 08:41:16 AM
Bitcoin : 80828 comments and counting since first snapshot on (2017 Nov)

DJIA : 31438 comments and counting since (2008)?

Secret sauces: investing.com

And I begin to wonder why the heck all this mainstream financial sites are listing crypto currency on their front pages? They trying to tell us something?

Man, it is the trend today. Have you not observed?

Bitcoin is the talk of the town. Is it not in yours?

Bitcoin is the word of the day, no not just that, it is the word of the decade and possibly of the century. That is why these mainstream financial sites are putting it all on its front pages. They want to attract clients and believe it or not Bitcoin is some kind of a spell and I guess it is effective.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best NEW DEX to start trading NOW and will BOOM in 2020 on: December 12, 2019, 08:20:44 AM
Binance have launched a DEX that doesn't require KYC as far as I know and its quite user friendly just it hasn't received the same volumes as the CEX version of the exchange, but these services may become more popular as more regulation is put into place that requires FATF guidelines to be followed and they can still operate without these restrictions

of course they dont have to require a kyc because its a decentralized version  . i never seen a decentralized exchange that require a kyc but centralized version yes  they are  possible  but not all decentralized exchange are user friendly but most of them are not but binance was well known to be a user friendly exhange before so they will just use the same set up on thier new decentralized exchange version  .  why would this become popular if it will regulated ? when people only use decentralized exchange to avoid regulation  .

While I agree that decentralized exchanges should not require KYC, IDEX is doing that. So that means it is possible. Although I would think that because of what IDEX did, it kind of lost a big part of its being a decentralized exchange. But it is still a decentralized exchange by its other features.

IDEX is one of the most active decentralized exchanges but I think Binance DEX is leading in the competition.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on decentralized education on: December 12, 2019, 07:50:50 AM
The decentralized element of blockchain is opening many doors for a variety of individuals and industries, from secure p2p transactions to game assets that are utilized on multiple platforms.

The one industry that may require the most effort, aside from government-regulated industries like banking, is the decentralization of education. The concept can be developed by a variety of vetted users, knowledge can be verified through blockchain credentials, and information can be obtained by the masses at a fragment of the cost of traditional schooling methods.

Since this is a new concept we, as an organization, were wondering your thoughts on the matter.

What are the concerns of the students, educators, and community members that rely on education as a source of knowledge and credentials?

What is there to decentralize on education? As far as sources of knowledge is concerned, I guess that comes from the lectures of the teachers as well as the books that they are using. If there is something that should be recorded on the blockchain pertaining to education, it is the school data such as grades and professors or teachers objective assessment on their students.

Education budget and its specific expenditures could also be integrated to the blockchain. But this is more on the financial aspect and not strictly on the education matter.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason soon or not ? on: December 11, 2019, 09:29:02 AM
Hi there,

I personally think Altseason is starting soon. We have been in a bear marker for such a long time and Alt season is lurking.

BTC dominance is trapped in a descending triangle for a long time now. Testing the support and resistance trendlines multiple times.

Altcoin season may be sooner or later. It may come or it may not. Everything is possible. For now, a lot are damned tired of waiting for altcoin season. Many are dumping and shifting to Bitcoin. Bitcoin seems to have a more promising season very soon due to the upcoming halving in the first half of the year 2020. Before, many people are investing on altcoins because there seemed to be more growth or fast profit from them. But the crypto movements have changed. Altcoins are now losing momentum.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My Bounty Journey in 2019! Bought an expensive Bike Yamaha FZS V3! on: December 11, 2019, 08:59:39 AM
This is nice to hear. This will show to many bounty hunters that there is always the better side of things. Long have we heard and read of stories about failed bounty campaigns. There are so many kinds of them. Other bounties are not successful and not paying, others are not paying at all even if they are not really a failure, others are also paying but the value is very small, and so many other kinds of failures. This one is a success story. But this requires full time if I am not mistaken because you need to do a lot of jobs in participating in many campaigns.
