I wonder what are new futures berancash bring to cryptocurrency community? this coin is released yet.
Hi hoop, welcome to the bern community and happy new year. I think political coins, like berncash, have ventured into some interesting territory. I say that because, cryptocurrency is a more non-nationalist idea at its root. Many people frown on coins like country coins for this reason. With that in mind, I have tried to be non-exclusive to people outside of the USA. Actually some of these people are very knowledgeable of our election and politics. I am glad I met these people through this project and look forward to meeting more. BERN is released and has been since February. Amazing it has almost been a year! We have a few weeks of the first PoW phase still left, if you wanted to get in of that. During this first phase 50% (100 mil bern) are being released. The next PoW phases stretches out PoW mining 5 years, into and past our next presidential election in 2020. The block rewards will reduce dramatically soon and you can see the mining phases outlined in the OP. The bern wallet has, what I called, 'easy pool mining' which allows you to mine with the click of a button, no registration or any configuration needed. It is only CPU mining but, I hoped it would make it easier for new comers to at least get their foot in the door of the exciting world of mining. I hope I have answered your question, hoop. Again, welcome to the bern community! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) #notMeUS

Windows BERN v1.2: https://mega.nz/#!g1F1kQ5K!GRMRquxfmFRDgKmvkJxhSmqpIMD_xDh_e3kt6KiLf_o that's odd, new win wallet's staking indicator says i don't have mature coins which isn't true, and looks like it's not gonna stake at all. stepped back to previous version I assure you, staking is working. I will investigate the staking indicator not reporting that correctly. EDIT: Progress is being made. Again, the glitch only affects the staking indicator and causes it to report 'not staking' even when the wallet is in fact staking. Staking itself is not affected. As soon as the glitch is corrected, v1.2.1 will be compiled and released. My sincere apologies for this glitch. EDIT 2: I have it now. Doing the version bump and updating the repo. EDIT 3: Won't be much longer now. An hour or two to fully test and get uploaded.

I regret to inform the BERN community, because of some dependency issues in my build environment, I have yet to get the v1.2 binaries built for win and mac. While I am continuing to try and resolve the issue, it seems I will not be making the previously mentioned 24 hour window.
The wallets will be released just as soon as I can get this sorted. I will also reach out to some colleagues and ask if they have time to assist.
I appoligize for the delay and will keep you updated.
Won't be much longer now everyone. I am getting it. An hour or two to do some tests after compilation and links we be posted and updated. Thanks for remaining patient! #rEVOLution EDIT: just getting them uploaded now...

Bern will be good and will strive hard to stand along with those strong cryptocurrencies provided that the solid support of the community and the dev is present. it is such a good coin and it must be managed properly.
Thank you kindly for the words of commendation! You're right, I need the community as much as they need me. More so in many respects. #notMeUS

Nice, cant wait. Anything new or just some updates? Been a long time BERN version 1.2 changes include: - Additional checkpoints.
- Addition of 20, now totaling 27, seednodes to ensure the network is fortified.
- Minor bug and cosmetic fixes.
This upgrade to BERN version 1.2 is not a required upgrade. Older wallets will continue to function as is. #rEVOLution Just updates really, but some important ones. I would recommend upgrading. But it will not be a required upgrade. #NotMeUS

so where's official new win build huh ?
It is being worked on, sorry for the delay. I will do my best to get it and the mac compiled this weekend. its nice hearing that you are working silently here steve its been quite a while i know you really a hard working dev and this bern will achieve its real goal and will serve its purpose, hopefully we can see more progress from your project steve, good luck and keep it berning... I had been posting updates in the bern forum but, the activity there has seemed to fizzle. Of course, the results of the primary and election I imagine are the culprit for that, understandably. I actually was putting off compiling and releasing the win and mac v1.2 wallets because I was thinking of changing the pool 'easy pool mining' uses. But, for the time being, it will remain as is and I will just get v1.2 released and not keep everyone waiting. The pool change can wait for the next release, sometime in the first half of next year. Thanks for the wish of luck! If all goes as planned and tests are successful, which they should be, bern v1.2 wallets will be out within 24 hours. Bern baby bern!

BERN version 1.2 source code has been pushed to our github and all the seednodes have been updated to v1.2. BERN version 1.2 changes include: - Additional checkpoints.

- Minor bug and cosmetic fixes.
This upgrade to BERN version 1.2 is not a required upgrade. Older wallets will continue to function as is. I will be working to get the Windows and Mac binaries compiled in the coming weeks but community members, specifically Linux users, that know how can compile from source now. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! #rEVOLution

Thanks for the post on the Trump thread Berncash dev, much appreciated. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Would I be right in thinking both our projects will become respective pr tools for their movements? I think thats where we need to go with Trump Coin. Both our sides have much in common and I think we can at least all agree not having the massive Criminal Clinton in the white house is good for all of us. She was def pushing for a war with Russia and if not that it would have just been more middle east wars, more culturual destruction, job losses , race dividing etc. Good luck with the Project. Keep fighting the fight! ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) You're very welcome, chicken65. I know patriotism, who will be my president, and, more times than not, the enemy of an enemy is my friend. Our common ememy of the establishment must be dismantled. Bernie proved that cannot happen from within the Democratic party, for the corruption is too deeply rooted. I certainly hope, and it would seem at this time, president elect Trump may have better luck within the Republican party. Yes, BERN was always intended to promote the political revolution and, I admit, an avenue for me to express sentiments that I felt should resonate in the financial revolution that is crypto. While I know very well borders and nationalism are very much frowned upon in this industry, they are both facts of today. But you are correct, hiLlARy stands for everything we despise. Of course you can imagine for Bernie supporters, that despise is unmeasurable after the rigging, collusion, and robbery of the Democratic nomination that is now well documented fact. The joy of seeing hiLlARy's supporters cry is priceless. I must thank all Trump voters for replacing the disparity felt since the Democratic convention with that. While it is not the joy Bernie supporters had hoped for, it is is much better than watching the thievery of the nomination continue to the thievery of the presidency. Thanks for the wish of luck and yes, it seems this fight will take much endurance. Fortunately, we have the advantage of numbers that they can't falsify, power to the people! So the BERN community is aware, this is my post we are reffering. #BernieOrBust your party! And we did succeed at our ultimatum.
