221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help with confirmations on transaction on: November 20, 2013, 10:20:47 PM
I sent a transaction 2 days ago, and I still haven't had ONE confirmation go through. I set a relatively low transfer fee, but it says its optional anyways! I didn't realize I would have to wait over 2 days for one fuckin confirmation :/ Here's the transaction id:

a65352c3724e8b382d50ab37ff48b2665dfdf04211709f864620251bd2104f1e

Can anyone help confirm this? So ridiculous -_-

Blockchain.info says:
Sorry we could not find any blocks or transactions matching this hash
222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just purchased tiny fraction BTC for first time; now what? on: November 20, 2013, 10:10:38 PM
So - now I have the same address in two different "clients" (or places; whatever) and I can see the balance associated with that address in the localbitcoin wallet but not the blockchain wallet...

I dont know how localbitcoins wallet works, but maybe you have to withdraw it from localbitcoins, or the BTC is in escrow now waiting for BTC seller confirmation ?

Hi, what is the smallest amount that someone could start with for bitcoin? For example, I imagine if you try to buy some bitcoin, there would be a minimum amount that you can buy.

The smallest amount of bitcoin that can currently be sent over the network without issue is a bit less than 0.00005500 BTC (about $0.02475 worth at the current exchange rate).

You can get such amounts from free faucets with little work. You may test your wallet + see if your computer is not compromised when the BTC is not lost
227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: November 16, 2013, 04:44:56 PM
BTCBTCBTC 3 weeks from now .... we will see 1000  BTCBTCBTC
.

posts likr this make me confirm my $475 target is a good exit for now.. cya at $300

What if you will not see under $400 anymore? You might buy at $600+ when you realize under $400 wont happen anymore
228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bubble? on: November 16, 2013, 04:33:15 PM
You do realize that the price is pretty much holding steady around $400 for days now, and you're waiting for the "bubble" to pop?
That's not the definition of a bubble.

Few days stable price means nothing. We will know it was a bubble only after crash Smiley
229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's 5 am in China on: November 08, 2013, 11:54:10 PM
So I've been watching the price surges and it seems the price start to go up during the day in China but then it slows down like now. Does that make sense? Is that why usually later in the evening the price starts hiking up again like it did the past two days?

Yup, traders need to sleep as well. This only shows Chinese adoption drives the price really up

PS: Please no Co2 discussion - it is lame, it is wrong. and .. it's just wrong. too much BS about that climate topic. Climate is in steady change. That's natural. Looking at earth history this planet was not able to host live most of its time.

Your right, we are getting there slowly (planet not able to host live)
And yes it is natural because we are part of nature

Why would anyone want to convert a promising sound currency for an exponentially-printed-to-oblivion/give-inflation-to-bankers-enslave-everyone-else/no-control-over-your-money corrupt currency?

Good for you, no? You may buy more promising sound currency cheap...

Without trading, how we find the value of our BTC anyway

238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: October 20, 2013, 10:33:03 PM
On the other end some ALT have confirmations in seconds making them possible to use as a everyday currency

But how much hashrate these super fast altcoins have ? You need to wait for many confirmations, and even after 30 minutes your not safe if some big hashing network join in, do 51 % attack and invalidate last hour mined blocks. I seen it with some altcoins already...
239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Malware infected account, what do I do? on: October 20, 2013, 10:20:04 PM
I just realized that this account has a rating indicating that it is infected with malware from another account. Is there anything I can do? Or does this mean I need a new account?

TradeFortress rating is from 2013-07-17, 3 months old. Why do you bring up the issue now?
