I just realized that this account has a rating indicating that it is infected with malware from another account. Is there anything I can do? Or does this mean I need a new account?

I tried that. And my message was blocked. I am assuming that sending messages might infect other accounts. But I have no idea. Just fishing for answers.

tradefortress leaves some strange ass feedback on some accounts i assume its something to do with the avatar infection that rook the website offline a week or so ago

no you dont need a new account just need either him or an admin to sort your account out.
and no people wont need new accounts for reading your messages but if your account has a suspicion of being infected it might be why you cant send messages

Clean your computer first. Run a test, and create a new account later on.

That has nothing to do with an infection (whatever Tradefortress means with that)
Tradefortress blocks all pms from all users, try to contact him on mail.

TradeFortress rating is from 2013-07-17, 3 months old. Why do you bring up the issue now?

Kind of a cryptic message, though. Maybe trying PMing him from another account. Not sure what else you could do... I've never seen this before.  Huh

It probably means that you have been exsposed to it at some point and might be under the control of a hacker.

I think the reason he left negative trust is that you might have downloaded malware, and your account was/is hijacked by a thief.

It should be computer based. Unless the forum have some problem.

Malware doesn't spread between accounts like what the OP is describing. There was a problem before when someone was sending links to download malware in PMs. If you clicked the link, downloaded the malware, and executed it, your account could have been hijacked.

I recommend the OP to take the necessary steps to make sure his computer is clean & safe.
