221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: December 09, 2017, 06:24:22 AM
All this bitcoin Ponzi Schemes here and there claiming to be bitcoin investments. I don't really know why most people still trust Ponzi schemes even after been a victim to it.

Well, Let's wait and see if after two months they did not prove their   “cause to the contrary” as requested by  the UK Registrar of Companies, them we  know that Vitalik Buterin was right when he states then that BitConnect is running a ponzi scheme.
I hope the UK takes every measures and make sure participants money are been return to them when they closes the company.
Because the ponzi users try to fool others to join in this ponzi scheme. This is same as what already happened with regal or hextra coin. With the same structure as the bitconnect and majority of the dumb person try to earn the more referrals by deluding another person.

This method will make the more victim join in these ponzi schemes.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin God on: December 09, 2017, 06:21:10 AM
The latest Bitcoin fork, "Bitcoin God", will be promoted and mined by chinese mining mogul Chandler Guo:

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/bitcoin-god-ico-god-token/

Quote
We have yet another bitcoin hard fork to announce. It’s called Bitcoin God, or GOD.

The hard fork project is being led by Chinese bitcoin and blockchain angel investor Chandler Guo, who released a message on WeChat stating his intention to fork off from core on December 25.

In a follow-up tweet, Guo explained that he chose December 25 because it was “symbolic of me giving candy to all bitcoin holders.”

Responding to an inquiry on Twitter, Guo confirmed that the project is “real”. Guo explains that GOD will be forked off the main bitcoin chain at block 501,225, which is scheduled to occur on December 25. There’s a total supply of 21 million GOD coins, and there will be no pre-mine.

What’s the difference between Bitcoin God and regular bitcoin? Why do we need yet another hard fork? Guo claims that “the profit from POS mining will be distributed to all Bitcoin God users.”

Guo has not gone into further detail about how that profit sharing scheme will work. However, bitcoin hard forks are quickly becoming the new ICOs. Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Diamond, and Bitcoin Cash Plus are all being released over the next few weeks. Some of these projects have legitimate support from a team of developers. Others are scam projects with no apparent purpose.

Ultimately, there’s virtually no information about Bitcoin God available online at this time – but we’re still a few weeks away from launch. Stay tuned to see if Bitcoin God (GOD) is a real cryptocurrency project or not.

Is anyone bothering to get all these coins? How are you doing it? it is honestly incredibly annoying having to move your cold storage each time a new fork happens. I think im going to wait for all the forks to happen, then move my cold storage just once and access them all. The problem is, by then, most would have crashed...

With so many hardforks will be coming in next few weeks later. And then i can't get the purpose of these hardforks. It likes the bitcoin will be the same as the money printing. This bitcoin god will be the same as another altcoin just like NEO because with its POS system. The only winner will be those having a lot of the bitcoin in their wallet.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ELECTRONEUM back over 10 cents... on: December 04, 2017, 11:06:39 PM
Did the bounty hunters start selling or their tokens still locked? What was ICO price?

ICO price was 0.01 dollar and now price is 10 times the ICO price.

Bounty hunters has not received thier coins, because the wallet is not accessible for some security reasons.
Not only the bounty hunters, even the ico participant still can't access their own money that already converted into the electroneum coin. But that was actually a bit strange in my opinion.
if this current supply already calculated through only from the miners and it can't become a good thing. Because if the all coin will have distributed and the price will fall.
224  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL bitcoin? why and why not? on: December 04, 2017, 11:00:32 PM
HODL bitcoin? why and why not?
Bitcoin is very good to stored our value rather than become the multifunctional crypto because the bitcoin less on its scalability. hold bitcoin because it deserve the real value of the crypto because anothyer crypto pegged on the bitcoin as the main pair to give the real value to another cryptocurrency. Another bad thing about the bitcoin scalability problem.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should worry this is a bubble on: December 04, 2017, 10:57:35 PM
A bubble that will not blast.
Maybe it can be called a balloon. Just losing some air and can be pumped back.  Grin

I dont want to think like that for now because I feel like I am still starting and still learning more.
Just want to go with the flow without negativity.
It will same as the bubble but the bubble will be matched with the crypto. As you can see just like after jamie already released his statment regarding the cryptocurrency and it seems the bitcoin gets burst.
The price gets plunged a lot. Rather than ballon the ballon can be generated again with the more size.
This bubble even bigger than before.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela moves to issues "petro" crypto on: December 04, 2017, 10:10:49 PM
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42217798

BBC reports Venezuela is moving to Petro coin to fix economy. Will this help? Will it hinder things? Will it bring negative light to crypto? First country to go totally crypto?

Personally, I see more inflation and Petro failing terribly.
That will not help anything for sure. Majority of the Venezuelan tries to fix their own problem with own solution just like mining the bitcoin or ethereum. The centralized currency just like petro crypto will be a very bad thing imo. So, what's the difference with the fiat money that always being printed by the government. It will be the same as it.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of BTC has fallen sharply. Will altcoin price fall? on: December 04, 2017, 05:23:29 AM
Has the price of BTC been fluctuating wildly recently? This wave of gains was all due to the rise of the BTC, with Altcoin passive following, and many of the BTC's not rising, and if the price of BTC fell sharply, it would not be disastrous.Triggered a huge sell-off.Will most of them lose money?
Do you even see the chart of the bitcoin? How the price goes to the hell and then back again to the sky.
It's really fluctuating right now.

But altcoin gets a little increase on the bitcoin pairs. When panic sell will be happening in the future and majority of the altcoin holders will try to dump their altcoin and move to the bitcoin. They do not care about the loss.

But since the altcoin was a bubble and it can jump back again anytime.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best exchange to buy zcash? on: December 04, 2017, 04:21:18 AM
How do I go about buying zcash?  What's the best exchange?
Binance exchange, because that doesn't require a lot of the verification just like what already happened if you are trying to use the birfinex or another exchange site. And the exchange site is very reliable if you are seeing the majority of the binance users. They've not had a lot of the problem just like bitfinex.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Coin for cheap fast transfers between exchanges? on: December 04, 2017, 04:17:10 AM
Like the topic says, which coin would you use for fast and cheap transactions between exchanges?

For not I'm using Litecoin, but there has to be something better.  I know LiteBitcoin is going to be like that in the future, but I need one for now.
Bitshares, NXT, or ethereum. Since all of them were accepted in so many exchange sites and that will be so easy to convert they are all into the bitcoin again. They are all having really cheap fees just like NXT and the fees just take 1 NXT for each transaction. But the cheapest is ethereum in my opinion. Because you can try to divide it into the little amount to pay the fees was around 2 cents.
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: December 03, 2017, 06:16:48 AM
Now is the tme tosell Not since i misplaced hope in altc in or crypto globe. But when at any time have a bad new we are able to sell and buy later on.io
Well my plan is to sell bitcoin end of the year because bitcoin price is going very high in December and for that moment I wait for a long time and that’s a right time when I will sell my bitcoins because I remember last year as well when last year come to end so the price was very high and in this year the users are very high then last year in shape of investors and traders so I’m sure that from last year this year price will be high.
Not every year is the same. Moreover, the price of bitcoin will not always increase in the end of a year. Therefore, be careful with your decision. You can earn more money if you find a right time to sell your bitcoin. My strategy is selling bitcoin whenever it hit the new peak. I know that the price of bitcoin will be dumped soon right after it hit the new highest peak. Then, I will buy bitcoin with a cheaper price
The price of bitcoin will always increase every years. The limited number of the supply has been determining since the bitcoin already made by satoshi nakamoto. and then people know about there will be limited supply in the circulation minus with some amounts of bitcoin that gets accident by personal users.
The new All time high mean new peak and it can be considered as the best point to sell our coin.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best ICO to invest..? on: December 02, 2017, 11:08:29 PM

232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why people from 3rd countries are crazy about getting cryptos? on: December 02, 2017, 02:05:03 AM
I agree with you at some point.

Imagine you hear about bitcoin on media and decide to make some research on the web to know more about it. You surely find about bitcointalk as it comes a lot in the SERP for some queries. Then you say "oh bitcoin has a forum, great! let me read"

After 1 hour you figure most of them are always telling bitcoin=moon! bitcoin will be $50k in 2 weeks hold, buy buy buy! Rich soon!
You also figure that most of them are under 18, housewife, don't give a fuck to bitcoin, but just want free money. you see that they making no sense posts, with the same question popping every day. Telling to people to buy bitcoin but never do themselves, why should they, they don't care about crypto. They just love rehashing the same question and answer all day long

I tell you this, it's not about racism, I tell you it because I have a friend who didn't know about bitcoin he ended here and started to read, the next day he told me "bitcoin is just for children in sandbox so they can buy video games, i don't want to look more about it" Cheesy Cheesy
But since you are making that comments and the example already appeared at the bottom of this thread.

At the time that the bitcoin was worth nothing, and a lot of people don't care about that.

A lot of the people from 3rd country needs the bitcoin.
That was not caused by they needed to buy it. They have required the bitcoin for free.

The 3rd will not give a lot of the support to the bitcoin caused by the economy was less than the developed country.

I'm from the Philippines myself. Yep 3rd world.

The fast gains Btc provided this year indeed attracts allot of people-with majority suffering from unemployment or poor wages. Bitcoin is acting like a get rich scheme, but we all know how volatile Bitcoin is, crypto is more complex than that.

I admit when you're desperate, you tend to jump into things without understanding them first. Especially if these things involve less work and fast profits.

233  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain future on: December 01, 2017, 10:38:50 PM
Hi Guys ! What you think about feature of blockchain startups?
the blockchain offers a lot of the advantage for the future purpose. Just like automation in the payment system to eliminate 3rd person or middle person. Another advantage of the blockchain you can try to build your Dapps in the blockchain just like what already did by some companies. The blockchain offers a lot of the transparency but keep the users with its encrypted data (SHA256)
234  Economy / Economics / Re: How futures on bitcoin will work? on: December 01, 2017, 10:22:51 PM
HI ALL,

As everyone knows the futures on bitcoin will be available soon. CME Group plans to launch them in 2017 Q4.
They state the settlement will be in dollars. So futures buyers does not have to deal with bitcoins. That's a bit strange to me. Who will deal with bitcoins than?

Investor buys 1 contract. It is 5 bitcoins. After a certain time if the price (calculated from several exchanges) goes up.
The buyer will receive profit. But who will pay?

As i understand the futures sellers will pay that profit. But they have to get this profit from selling bitcoins at a higher price.
So futures sellers will have to REALLY buy bitcoins. Not futures buyers.

Am i correct? This subject seems unclear to me.
The futures contract just like you are predicting the future price of the bitcoin let's say the A predicted about the bitcoin will reach $12k in the future. And another person like B predicted about the bitcoin will be around $13k and finally, the price of bitcoin stopped around $12,5k That means the predicted by A becomes the true value of bitcoin. So there is $500 gap with the bitcoin. And it can be considered as the profit for A.
And B is a looser caused by the price of bitcoin doesn't surpass its prediction.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you need a Blockchain?! on: November 27, 2017, 11:16:23 PM
Because people is now making ridiculous projects over the blockchain, and they do not even understand why blockchain means, they are just using that word because it has a lot of potential to do marketing.

There are some projects like Sex on the blockchain from a sexshop ico, i do know what has been about that ico, i thought that they rised more than one million dollars from this ridiculous idea.

And there would still be some more projects like this, they are like a plague . But if they are really good projects, then i dont see why they can not develop an idea over the blockchain, it is helping everybody in here at any way.

Not only the blockchain, even majority of the developers don't know about the means of the decentralized itself. A lot of the project that only runs in the one blockchain and then said about that was based on the decentralized thing. This becomes a bes joke right now how the developers lack of knowledge about the crypto definition itself.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if a site like MyEtherWallet close? on: November 27, 2017, 11:04:45 PM
Maybe it's a stupid question but... if a wallet like MyEtherWallet decides to close... what will happen to my wallet that I have in MEW?
I can have access in another way?
My thought that you can try to still use your privatekey from my etherwallet. At least you can still use it and try to sync it into the decentralized market just like etherdelta and you can still make any transaction with all of your amount. That's the alternative scenario in my opinion. At the same time etherdelta give a guarantee about your amount.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Going Up: Is it a good time to invest? on: November 27, 2017, 10:44:09 PM
I think Bitcoin will drop for a small correction before it continues its up trend. It's too high as price to buy bitcoin. I want to buy more bitcoins but I was told that correction is on the way. Anyone of you have better idea ?
It will become stable for short term. People are giving the more and more support to the bitcoin. i think that the people try to take a rest. this time bitcoin price looks very stable rather than another coin. I've been thinking about another pump will come to reach 10k as the target of the bitcoin in this year. Correction will come after the bitcoin reach the milestones or it won't.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ETHERDELTA NOT SAFE? on: November 27, 2017, 10:41:46 PM
I've sold my btcredin etherdelta, and just let my ethereum stay there for a couple of days coz im planning to buy GRX, but after few days of not visiting the site, i found my account with zero eth balance!

My eth was withdrawn to this address: https://ethplorer.io/0xd32417e42607280cd882ef30e9babf7a0bdfb355

And it seems this address is doing something fishy, can i find out whoever is the owner of this address in this forum?
It you are clicking on the suspicious link that alreayd made by these scammers to phising the victim and take your privatekey. if you are ever clicking on something like that and that will not be surprised if the scammer be able to withdraw your money. Please you can remember what already did before your emount got stolen by scammer.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternate coins to Bitcoins on: November 27, 2017, 03:27:32 PM
Is there any coin which can give or is giving a tough competition to Bitcoin ?
Ethereum is the only one but it's not compete the bitcoin on the mass adoption but basically the ethereum try to compete the bitcoin on its own technology. As per there is a lot of the problem and debate about the scalability of the bitcoin and so many altcoins are trying to find an alternatives way to fix it. Even fork coin not has the best scalability.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Price Hits Record High Amidst Very Solid Cryptocurrency Market on: November 27, 2017, 03:25:50 PM
The price of the virtual currency Litecoin reaches an all-time high of $87 per token on as of press time, amidst the sustained solid performance of the cryptocurrency market. It is projected that the price of the digital currency could even surpass the $100 level before the year ends.
The market is very solid right now, as you can see about all of the altcoin get bullish eventually. when other gets pump this time and another coin will be following in the future to get another pump too.
If you are talking about the possibility of litecoin to surpass $100 before the end of this year and yes it is. This time litecoin is around $91
