221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for Good? on: December 18, 2016, 11:32:28 PM
I do not understand why some people associate the use of Bitcoin to bad purposes so often, when in fact fiat currencies are the ones most used for such purposes. Bitcoin was created with the purpose of allowing people to have a solution to protect their own funds from the devaluation of fiat currencies, and that is a good purpose.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: December 18, 2016, 11:27:33 PM
The higher the upward trend of Bitcoin, the greater the risk of investing the coins in other investments. I think at the moment the best investment probably is Bitcoin itself. It takes patience and long-term thinking, it may not take too long for Bitcoin to demonstrate its true potential.
223  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: December 18, 2016, 11:17:47 PM
I bought bitcoin for payments online. There are many sites that can accept bitcoin for transactions. In addition, I also like the porn videos, with bitcoin I can be subscribed and paid for free access in porn videos.
Wow that is something new, porn is really part of your usage with bitcoin. I guess I want to know what site are you visiting, lol.
Anyway, enjoy my friend their a lot of ways to spend our bitcoins online.
It's just one of Bitcoin's many applications. As more users and investors realize the benefits of using Bitcoin, it is likely to increase the number of services adopting the currency. Some users think it's a complicated system to use, but the truth is that there are no complications in this, and internet payments become simpler.
224  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: December 18, 2016, 11:12:43 PM
For some users, the fact that Bitcoin is decentralized and easy to use is probably not enough, so I think some things can improve, such as the speed of transactions. Maybe with lightning network things will be different. Another aspect that may give users reasons to adopt the currency is a wider variety of places to spend Bitcoin. Merchants would also need to take initiative for this, of course.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: December 18, 2016, 11:05:19 PM
Gambling and trading is not the same in trading you'll just need learning and patient to make profit if you'll not study first before entering trading you will end up loosing not like gambling its all about luck ,
yes, knowledge is very important when trading and you also need patience, because if you don't have patience I think you can also lose a lot of money in trading. And in gambling you can also lose money if you are out of control in betting.   Sad
I think they are very different things. Some people argue that both things have risks, but that applies to almost everything in life, and that does not mean that everything is gambling. I think that in gambling the individual depends a lot on luck, while in trading this is not the variable that has the most weight in the gains. Instead, knowledge and strategy are the keys to it.
226  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: December 18, 2016, 10:59:20 PM
I buy Bitcoins, and then sell Bitcoins. I earn on the difference between buying and selling. But I also buy Bitcoins to invest in the future
You are doint the most thing several people doing trying to get more bitcoins, and well the buy low and sell hight may turn into a great result, and always growing your bitcoin in the process. Buying bitcoins its something the most cant afford, when it were 300 dollars i had bought nowadays its out of my budget.
Many people are just buying to ride the waves, and make some profit from it. But this is also risky, as the price of Bitcoin can take off at any time under current market conditions. I think it would be better to buy, hold most of it, and reserve a percentage for trading.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: December 18, 2016, 10:56:25 PM
The fact that China has a large number of miners and users is not something negative, in my opinion. In fact this is something that can contribute for the ecosystem to expand more quickly. Such a populous nation adopting a new currency will make people wake up to it, to the potential in Bitcoin.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: December 18, 2016, 10:45:06 AM
The internet always brings possibilities of making money in different ways. It turns out that many investment possibilities are already saturated, some others are areas with little exploration, but generally they require a higher level of knowledge and good strategies to reach a large number of users.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: December 18, 2016, 10:15:06 AM
I think it is the dream of many people, especially for people with little experience in crypto. But over time you will realize that it is an unrealistic goal, especially if you consider the fact that mining costs are very high at the moment, and there is a growing demand in countries that are tired of having its economies devastated by local currencies.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should some good commercial ads to promote! on: December 18, 2016, 10:02:38 AM
Someone can run campaign to promote it. Then we'll see the price going up due to its increased adoption!
I believe it is the desire of many bitcoiners to see bitcoin in the mainstream news, but I'm not sure if the Bitcoin network is ready for such traffic. First, problems related to scalability need to be worked out, but this is probably not going to take long.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: December 18, 2016, 09:03:12 AM
It's necessary to understand that the price is a result of supply and demand, so if people stop selling Bitcoins, the price would rise, as long as the network continues to function efficiently, of course. But a situation where no one sells Bitcoins would not be possible because miners need to sell it to pay the mining costs.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: Most Secure Currency to Hold Funds on: December 18, 2016, 08:10:46 AM
If you want to hold funds in another asset, besides Bitcoin, I think Gold may be a viable solution, better than usd. The problem is that you will have a higher cost to store, in addition you can not use gold directly to buy things, unless you use some digital token associated with gold.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: December 18, 2016, 07:40:45 AM
If the network remains stable and decentralized over the years, Bitcoin will certainly be a successful currency and will attract a large number of people who use banking systems, but I think that in the early stages these people will use both systems at the same time, as the Bitcoin ecosystem still does not provide all the resources for people to use it as the only platform.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: December 18, 2016, 07:33:37 AM
We have no guarentees that bitcoin will be next future money we all know that maybe one day bitcoin will gone but i hope bitcoin will stay years from now. I dont think bitcoin will be next as long as the fiat still exist.
In the future Bitcoin will probably not be the only successful cryptocurrency in existence, which is the reason why it is difficult to know whether Bitcoin will be the currency of the future or not. On the other hand, with regard to fiat currencies, it is easy to see that there are too many problems related to it, and it tends to decrease people's purchasing power, so it is reasonable to believe that Bitcoin will be a better alternative in the future.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 18, 2016, 06:58:37 AM
Always better to invest. Saving will lead to losing money for sure, investing makes you have a chance to gain something, maybe not 100% chance but better than 100% chance to lose money in time.
Investing is very important, so I think it should be part of the financial planning. With regard to save money, whether you will lose money or not, it will depend on the way you are storing value. If you store value in fiat currency, surely that money will be worth less over time because of inflation. In the case of Bitcoin, you have the possibility of making a good profit over time.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 18, 2016, 05:28:41 AM
I think this is possible but unlikely to happen. The price has increased for a long time, it will be normal if we see some price drops for the next few days. After that, when investors find the new bottom price, the price can climb again, and a value around $ 850 seems to be a more realistic goal.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: How stable will bitcoin be? on: December 18, 2016, 05:14:58 AM
volatility is being reduced as market cap is growing, you may think a increase of 50 usd in value is very volatile now but reading the history charts they show pumps or dumps of more than 25% in a single day was a daily basis.  Grin
hopefully we are now inside a steady uptrend.
That's probably the area we are in. The bullish trend at the moment is gradual, yet strong and without large scale dumps. And with respect to the volatility years ago, in fact Bitcoin is reaching better levels as time passes, I think this is good for the general user, who tries to adopt a new currency.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: December 17, 2016, 11:51:15 PM
Well, from the way that I see, gambling is when we depend on luck more than anything else. That is, in gambling there may be strategy, but luck will be the deciding factor in the final results of the events.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: December 17, 2016, 11:39:52 PM
I had some problems with transaction confirmation time a few days ago, it took something about a hour for the transaction to be confirmed. It seems like the same thing happened to other users.

If the proposal is to reach the mainstream, I think things should improve, hopefully with lightning network things will change next year.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 17, 2016, 10:10:12 PM
Should I never trust banks? I don't think so. As I notice here in our country, banks are very useful. They have their clients and customers continue using their service everyday. I have no reason to not trust banks. I know they are legit to operate.
The truth is that this depends on the bank, and depends on the country where the bank is located. There are governments that have a lot of influence over banks, and can confiscate funds very easily. So I think using banks is standard, and that's fine. The problem occurs when the user puts all the funds in the bank.
