I want everyone to be ready and prepared there is a nasty worm virus going around
If you get it you have to disconnect your pc  from your local network.
As of right now there is no way to get the data back off the drive.
This is a window back door worm scanning the  internet looking for this back door access point on windows pc.
They have this access due to the NSA getting hacked and these  tools getting released. .
Windows has released fixes for this problem but you have to manually update yourself.

All my windows builds are  mining only.

My normal internet is all mac.

Does this attack macs and or linux?

It's just a windows worm virus

If you are running unpatched Windows OS beware!

Why do you downclock the memory?

Also with this mobo I have found (with Nvidia cards) you can use ribbon risers for all but the second (16x primary gpu slot).  It must have a powered riser to ensure proper operation.

Are you saying that only x16 slot must have powered riser on Anniversary Asrock?
So x1 slots are providing more than 25W (as per PCIe specification) on that mobo?
Usually only x16 slots can be used without powered risers, as I understand.
Or I do not understand?

I can't wait to see Vega ...

I am about to buy 4 1080Ti  ... Tongue

You can buy those and make ROI before than vega will be available Cheesy

Aren't they going out like in a week ?

In a most optimistic scenario they will be announced at Computex and will be available a few weeks after that.
But there is also this: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/57418/amd-radeon-rx-vega-less-20-000-available-launch/index.html

Hello,everyone!
The fact of recent shortage of RX470s and the increased power consumption of RX5xx series forced me to build my new rig with Nvidia 1060s. I'm sorry about my noob question but do i need CUDA package and Visual Studio installed on the PC to run this miner properly?I didn't install these and the miner keeps stop working after few hours ,sometime even minutes so i thought that might be the case. The program is running but the card shows 0 sols and it's colored in red.I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and 0.3.3b Miner. The card is my PCs Nvidia 780Ti.Windows 10 Pro. Thanks!

No need for those on Windows, Linux is another story altogether.
Post the screenshot.

I placed cash-out order almost an hour ago but nothing has landed on my wallet.
Is that normal or due to current issues?
Thanks.

I'm sure its the DDos issues. Frontend was down this morning and he's getting hit again. Your MP will catch up.

Busy day today huh, Miningpoolhub? Been awhile since they've gone after you like this.

Maybe they are mad at him because he promised to add LBRY pool six months ago and did not deliver Smiley

Ok, joking aside, what is the status of LBRY pool implementation?
LBRY is about to go out of beta this month and the price is about to go up.
I guess many people will want to mine it on MPH.

hello girls and boys,
i have three questions
is there a way to make afterburner show power limit in watts?
also, how to make sure that W10 creators update does not install drivers automagically?
does System-advanced system settings-hardware-device installation settings DEFINITELY work?
and how does un-activated W10 behave, apart from "not activated" warning in lower right corner? is it still usable for mining purposes?
thanks.

Thanks, further questions incoming, no doubt.

I feel somewhat bad that you took the trouble to answer in such lengthy fashion.
I did not formulate my question in the right way.
The fact is I do not want to use onebash functionality.
I want to use nvOC because its fully stocked with all that is needed to start mining.
I want to overclock and set power limits myself in the OS itself.
So, the question is, how do I  bypass Onebash and do stuff the oldfashioned way?

ello guvna,
i have been trying to compile tpruvots ccminer on kubuntu 16.04 to no avail
how did you compile it?
did you use cuda 7.5?
there are dozens of guides and each one is different from the other and results in different errors

also, i would like to give nvOC a test drive
do I need to configure anything in onebash before I boot it?

I love you butt i don't work there. Maybe you have sent your money to your own wallet ? Just an idea..

And where else am I supposed to send it? Yours?

The existence of ETC is a major reason why ETH really can't go POS; not that I think it was likely in the first place.
This two statements are intriguing, especially connection between ETH not being able to go POS because of ETC staying POW.
Could you elaborate?

ETH going POS would be like Coke deciding they will no longer produce Coca-Cola Classic, but will only sell Coke zero.

In the future you will get 100:1 chance to get Coke Zero when buying Classic!
https://github.com/ethereum/research/wiki/Casper-Version-1-Implementation-Guide

Their bullshit has its own bullshit.

Called this over a year ago; took 6 months longer than I expected.

The closer you look at ETH; the more questions you will have.

The best thing ETH has going for it is that most people will never read the whitepaper or review any of the code.

I'm betting in 6 months there will be a nerf announcement; which drastically reduces what ETH will actually do.

So with POS essentially being out of the door, the question of Ice Age remains.
As I understand it, its main purpose is to prevent the necessity of another hard-fork.
But this article https://btcmanager.com/ethereum-ice-age-approaches-community-vote-on-mining-reward-cut/
states
Quote
The Ethereum ice age is a mining difficulty adjustment scheme that was created to incentivize miners to switch to the new PoS blockchain. Once the fork is executed, the mining difficulty rises exponentially to a point where it would be impossible for miners to keep up with the difficulty increase that would hike block time and make the blockchain effectively freeze.
So, with POS being postponed (indefinitely?), how will Ehereum deal with bloated blockchain now? Another hardfork is imminent. But it leads to the question of increased difficulty.
In context that is also relevant to our interests, there is also the issue of proposal to reduce the mining rewards in an effort to boost ETH prices.
https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/186
But that proposal was written when ETH was worth less then a dollar.
With current high prices of ETH, the incentive to reduce the rewards diminishes.

So with all this in mind, I am totally confused still. So much smoke and mirrors.
POS coming and not coming at the same time,  increased difficulty on current blockchain to force move to a new blockchain, reduced mining rewards, you name it, ETH has it all!
Please somebody tell me whether I am to go forth and build another (Vega?) rig.

A good question.  card price is king.

if you get a 1060 6gb to do 320h and you spent 220 usd you spent 1 dollar for  1.45h

You forgot 1060 3GB, best price/performance ratio of all Nvidias: mine do 305h@200$. 1.52 ratio!
The only downside is slightly lower resale value.

I'm setting up a rig with 6 gtx 1070s. Is a 1300w psu good enough to run it stably?

Depends whether you aim for maximizing hashrate or going for optimum H/Watt.
If hashrate is your aim then go for it.
If power-saving with optimum H/W is your aim, you will lower power limit to 120W and raise core/memory clocks.
1300W PSU is definitely overkill in that scenario.
