223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down... on: December 29, 2019, 02:09:12 AM
Next Bitcoin Halving will drive the price down because the ecological system in which Bitcoin lives will be reduced. More miners will bail, and it is the miners who are the bone marrow that creates the life blood of block chain. Thoughts?

In my opinion, only time can tell which of the many ideas and opinions of what this next mining rewards halving can produce: Will it push the price of Bitcoin higher or lower? Personally, though I am hoping, of course, that this can be creating more interest and therefore demand with Bitcoin superficial as it might be. With an increasing demand, we know where the price is headed to. But then again, there is no guarantee whatsoever in this marketplace, all we can do now is to speculate and think of what can be, nothing more nothing less.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global Debt to be Worth $12 Million per Bitcoin by Year End on: December 29, 2019, 01:44:46 AM

There is no stopping to the continuing growth of debt on the global basis. The global economy has an enormous and voracious appetite for money via loans and special monetary arrangements between governments and financial institutions. There is no question that we have a very liquid global economy but all are founded on debts, which I am sure one day will be coming to haunt us all. Right now, it is not USA-based monetary platforms that are lending money but so is China which is enticing many other countries to its circle of influence by pouring money to whoever is interested.

Right now, there is no possible connection between the overall global debt and the value or price of Bitcoin. However, by the time the global economy will be leaking due to the burden of debts maybe that can be the time when Bitcoin is going to be positively pushed to the top as the best alternative global currency and protector of wealth. Will that time be coming soon? I hope not soon but there is no question there will be that time of reckoning for all of us.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 29, 2019, 01:22:48 AM

Despite the apologies, I still think bitcoin video enthusiasts should migrate to decentralised video hosting sites like D tube: https://d.tube/

Correct!
Content creators should realise this can happen again and YouTube might not apologize the next time. There are other decentralised platforms that can be used by them to make money without such stupidity.
[/quote]

The big problem is these decentralized video platforms as alternative to YouTube not one of them is getting good audience even just 5% of what YouTube can provide. YouTube is the king of videos because one can easily get views and maybe also earn some money out of the published content. Decentralized platforms are struggling to connect with their prospective audience and there is no guarantee these platforms can last the test of time and rigorous competition. No wonder then video creators still prefer to use the infrastructure of YouTube because this is where the people and viewers are.
226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-28] Bomb Threats Demanding Bitcoin Force Evacuations Across Russia on: December 29, 2019, 12:45:10 AM

The bomb threats are quite successful in inconveniencing 750,000 people but a failed one in getting the results that they wanted: Bitcoin.  This story can be considered a little bit funny but is a demonstration of the problems with the Russian government (or some people thereof). Looking at the story of WEX, I am convinced that some government personalities were really involved and these people are just pretending that nothing happened because they are at the very control of power so they feel that they are untouchable at all times. A sad story, indeed!

228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin goal million dollars on: December 28, 2019, 02:45:24 AM
The price of 1 BTC=$1M is McAfee's expectation and prediction, but I think it is impossible by the end of 2020. Even if BTC can reach $20k by the end of 2020, it is a success. It's too big for the whole market.

The McAfee million prediction is very much off the chart and though it can be possible that indeed BTC can be a million dollar digital asset maybe it can really be taking decades before it can hit that high. There are now so many factors at play that prevents BTC from jumping and pumping non-stop. We are talking here of regulations, lack of extreme speculations (akin to 2017), lack of massive adoption (resulting into many questioning the use-cases of BTC itself) and many small things all contributing to the current price of BTC. I would be so happy if this year BTC can be able to go back to the $20K level.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: December 28, 2019, 02:32:05 AM

Since many are are expecting that the next halving will really pushed the price of Bitcoin significantly or over and above the last ATH recorded, then probably many can be disappointed and some can be discouraged to continue on holding Bitcoin. Let's see how the market dynamics can be interacting once there can be new ATH as produced by the halving. However, we know that Bitcoin has many surprises on its sleeves so maybe the best thing to do is just for the many things to happen before, during and after the halving.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How an interviewer made Craig Wright sweat about the question if he's Satoshi! on: December 28, 2019, 01:53:50 AM
The task is very simple... sign a message from the address holding the bitcoins. He doesn't have to move the bitcoin or something like that. CSW's character portraits that of someone who is so greedy and selfish. Look how he even talks and boosts in the interview. If he was satoshi, he would have dumped those coins so hard as soon as bitcoin's price showed some value.

The fact that he doesn't have the keys mean the HE IS NOT and WILL NEVER BE SATOSHI NAKAMOTO PERIOD!!!

This man is a big joke and the very reason why he is getting some free press is because people love the opportunity to corner him and exposed him as such even in subtle ways. In this interview, it is obvious that he is evasive on the question why he failed to move the myriad of Bitcoin under the control of Satoshi Nakamoto. Anyway, Craig Wright continues to be providing free and entertaining clown acts so let's have him continue whatever he is doing, nobody (except some few, of course) in this industry is really believing him on all things he is saying and will say.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be decentralized if the Internet is centralized on: December 28, 2019, 01:06:13 AM

For Bitcoin to be truly decentralized, the Internet needs to be decentralized first. Once that's done, you could expect to achieve financial freedom that's out of the scope of oppressive governments, central banks, and large corporations alike. Until then, Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies will be subject to the risks of the Internet's centralization for years to come.

What are your thoughts? Huh

I actually have no problem with the idea of decentralizing the internet so that we can also have a fully decentralized Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. The problem is that how can we do it successfully and with disruption? People these days are already accustomed to giants like Google, Facebook  and similar names. Getting rid of them can be impossible unless we are proposing a big revolution that can tear down these "walls" but we know it is going to happen. The problem is that these giants became successful, popular and now controlling because people allowed them to be. Facebook became the most pervasive socmed because people are patronizing it and despite many problems and setbacks that besieged the platform we see no exodus from the site. However, I don't see that much connection between decentralized cryptocurrency and centralized internet. Just because we have many big players controlling the business brought on by the internet does not mean that they can really affect cryptocurrency in major ways.

232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vending machines that use Bitcoin on: December 28, 2019, 12:32:23 AM
What are your thoughts? Is the Lightning Network ready to be used on vending machines, or is it too early to tell? ??

That can be happening soon IF (and this is the biggest IF) vendors can sense that there is really a good and viable demand from their prospective customers about it. In fact, we will not have any big problem on the side of the merchants when talking about adoption if there is really a big market for anything. The problem is that even if vendors are gonna provide the Bitcoin option if there will never be an adequate sales or revenues resulting from such a choice the whole thing will eventually be pulled down. In other words, this is the demand side and not on the supply side or the necessary infrastructure because it is the nature of any business to look for ways and means to provide something if they can be sure there is money to be made in there. It would be good if one day vendors everywhere can be providing this Bitcoin option because this is some sort of advertising for cryptocurrency.
233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs ETH Vs XRP Vs LTC which one will invest and why in 2020? on: December 27, 2019, 11:40:07 AM

Bitcoin is a big influence on Eth, XRP and Litecoin and that can be the reason why those who have BTC also allocated some percentage of their portfolio to the other three coins. The potential for these four top cryptos to be hitting it big this 2020 is quite good, though of course nobody know for sure what can happen in the real world we live in. Cryptocurrency remains to be one of the best investments with good returns  to go into but we should always be aware of the many possible risks. I have the same strategy, concentrate more on Bitcoin but not neglecting these other coins too. Let's hope the coming halving would be doing some miracles to our beloved and invested on cryptocurrencies.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will quantitative easing (QE4) signals Bitcoin to moon? on: December 27, 2019, 11:23:36 AM

When there will be a recession as a result of the many bad policies and actions of the government and its central bank or the Fed then for sure we can see a great appreciation of Bitcoin. Just like the time when Bitcoin was born, when economic and political upheavals are happening people and investors are looking for a good store of value and they would be congregating on gold and of course a focus can be thrown also on Bitcoin. However, if the government can successfully prevent any economic meltdown then we can see Bitcoin just stating as it is now.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 27, 2019, 09:57:34 AM
Youtube disappearing is impossible. Although there are many video viewing platforms that receive crypto, the dominant one has COSTENTOS. Users create videos and get paid with COS. But I am sure they will not be as popular as youtube.
YouTube is now owned by Google and they will find ways to advertise their platform. They seek to market and make their platform more known. YouTube has been around for a long time and is easy to engage with so there is no reason for YouTube to disappear.

People in cryptocurrency who are always extolling the virtue of decentralization will easily say that it is time to shift to decentralized platforms so that unilateral decisions and censorship can be the thing of the past but the problem is that alternative platforms could not really make a good breakthrough in the market controlled by giants like YouTube, Facebook, Google and the likes. Unfortunately, there seems to be no revolution here so that people do not really care what kind of platform they are using and being loyal with as long as they get the entertainment and information they are looking for. Honestly speaking, YouTube is a platform controlled by Google so since this outfit has an anti-cryptocurrency history what is happening right now is not anymore shocking. Anyway, I am sure that many of those videos deleted maybe violated the TOS of the site or have contradicted the official policy of Google. Days from now, this will just be forgotten and people just moved on normally.
236  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-26] Binance Blockade of Wasabi Wallet Could Point to a Crypto Crack-Up on: December 27, 2019, 09:40:50 AM

Will 2020 be a year for more regulations especially in the area of cryptocurrency exchange business? I think this is already a foregone conclusion. As the industry is growing by leaps and bounds, there will be stricter rules covering all transactions and of course there will be the classic clash between those who are rooting for more deregulation and those that are actually accepting more regulations in lieu of more recognition from the government and other similar financial institutions. Though labeling is as a crypto crack-up may seems to me like a exaggeration to some degree.

238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Make Money With Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2019, 01:31:43 PM
1- Are you a daily trader? who buy BTC at loew price and sell it with higher price at the end of the day, If no why?
2- Are you a BTC holder? who bought BTC and hold it for months, Years to be in profit?
3- you tell me.
Well. I make money in bitcoin by trading and joining siganture campaign, and the money that i earned here is quite enough to provide my basic needs and pay all of my bills. Trading is quite difficult, that is why most of my earning are from my signature campaign, then i hold all of my earnings until the price of bitcoin increase.

We almost have the same strategy. Trading can indeed be a mesmerizing thing and not for everyone I am sure. Though I am right now also thinking of indulging myself in learning to trade since there is really good money that can be earned here but since I am really afraid of big risks I concentrate more on the things that you are also doing. Sadly, there is no credible site or platform that allows us to regularly earn Bitcoin in exchange for our time and effort, maybe similar to Fiverr but uses cryptocurrency instead of the fiat money. Yes, there had been similar platforms but no one is able to escape the natural death due to inactivity.
239  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: I learned about a cold wallet called SafePal.Please help! How about this wallet? on: December 26, 2019, 12:45:26 PM

I am sure this post can be considered as promotional attempt by SafePal. However,  I am not making a judge on who is posting here but what is being posted. As the first hardware wallet invested and backed by Binance, there must be something good and forward-looking with this product provider. Let's see if it can be able to compete well with Trezor and Ledger, the two most popular brands in this business. In case, Binance will decide to flex its marketing muscle to help SafePal then I am sure it can easily capture a good slice of the available market. Good luck to this project.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why YouTube Bans Bitcoin &Crypto Videos? on: December 26, 2019, 12:24:05 PM

There is nothing we can do with this except called on Google why this is being implemented and maybe ask them for a clear-cut guidelines on things related to cryptocurrency. I have to be honest that indeed there can be that need to curtail on scams and ponzi schemes being promoted on YouTube but this should not be done at the expense at those honest videos. As a centralized platform, YouTube has all the power to do whatever it wanted to. Though this is a sad move on my part, maybe YouTube could have done some previous announcement and even consultation before releasing the ax.
