2201  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Countries with No Bitcoin Taxes on: June 12, 2018, 08:39:53 AM
my opinion is that you should not get taxed when using bitcoins, since you are paying when converting with fiat money
fiat money have already been taxed allright, whever it is you when you buy or when you sell (the buyer has been taxed)
as for the tax free countries, the list is pretty huge:
1.Belarus
2.Germany
3.Singapore
4.Denmark
5.Slovenia

Justpoor is now up almost 30 BTC
I bet this guy is a humble gambler base on his username.  Smiley

i can't help but feel jealous and envy that these guys are betting such amounts that to so quickly and easily, way to go guys.
Not only you are feeling that way but also me. Maybe they bought when bitcoin was around two digits up to 3 digits.

And in fairness about his luck it's impressive.

wish I were such a humble gambler, winning 30 bitcoins  Grin
don't be jealous, this guy knows that scared money make no money
if he is betting this way, means he has enough of a bankroll to do so
it is very risky,he is up a lot but that can go in a puff of smoke very quickly

2204  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-10] Bitcoin Plunges Below $7,000 After Korean Exchange Hack on: June 11, 2018, 11:52:58 AM
well the exchange itself is small enough to not influence the market that much
and 40 mil worth of tokens is a drop in the ocen
I would say that this : the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has launched a probe into four major crypto exchanges
has had much more influence on the price fall, but guess we never know the real reasons
maybe some holder woke up and decided to sell 20.000 coins ,who knows
2205  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-10] This Japanese Exchange Will Borrow Your Bitcoin for a Yearly Fee on: June 10, 2018, 07:02:20 PM
In an apparent step to increase liquidity and attract users, Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank has announced a bitcoin burrowing program.

One of Japan’s 16 full-licensed cryptocurrency exchanges, Bitbank offers eight cryptocurrency trading pairs and is ranked 31st in the world in terms of total daily traded volume.

Interestingly, Bitbank is seemingly stringent with its 12-month lock-in period.

Interestingly, the exchange’s rival GMO offers a much better deal for users with regards to a lock-in period – offering a three-month minimum timeframe for users who lend their bitcoin, and a 150-day timeframe for other virtual currencies, such as ether, ripple, and litecoin.

https://www.ccn.com/this-japanese-exchange-will-burrow-your-bitcoin-for-a-yearly-fee/

there was/is an exchange that did almost same https://vircurex.com/
they offered interest if a trader kept balances over a certain threshold, think it was 5 btc
guess what happened? yes, they stopped paying the money and froze the balances
so think twice if you want to keep your coins locked at an exchange
p.s. its borrow, not burrow because it sounds much grimmer
2206  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-06-10] Bitcoin Plunges Below $7,000 After Korean Exchange Hack on: June 10, 2018, 06:51:28 PM
The drop comes after South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Coinrail said there was a "cyber intrusion" in its system.

This triggered selling across the entire crypto space (Coinrail trades around 50 currencies)

The crypto market is also under pressure, in the wake of the news that the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has launched a probe into four major crypto exchanges.
All of the top-100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization are in the red over the 24 hours to press time, while total market capitalization is down by over $30 bln over the same period, according to Coinmarketcap

@1Referee. I reckon it would be smarter for the Github founders to only accept a deal if the payment was in bitcoins. They might receive billions lower but they will make billions more by holding bitcoin than holding Microsoft stock hehehe.

what makes you feel that Microsoft has no potential influence on bitcoin price?
if it really really wanted ,it could buyout a fair share of coins and do whatever they desired with the price afterwards

Microsoft Market Cap:
780.31B
Bitcoin market cap:
131 B

I cannot argue with your reply because I reckon it is a bad one.

I any case, it is not as simple as comparing the marketcap of a public company and the marketcap of bitcoin. That would be stupid. Also, what will Microsoft use to buy a fair share of bitcoins to do whatever they desired with its price? Stock options? Tongue

because you think that bitcoin in itself is something independent and this almost religious belief clouds your judgement
I simply stated that Microsoft can buy a fair share of bitcoins,if they wanted
use them to buy GITHUB or do whatever, including manipulating the price of bitcoin

2208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: best altcoins to buy for 2018 before price goes to the moon? on: June 09, 2018, 04:38:53 PM
the best potential in the descending order:
(disclaimer:do not use this as an investment analysis,it is just my expert IMHO)

1. ONT
Ontology has a very good potential to be used in various areas of our everyday's lives
can be used by banking, govermental structures, healthcare etc. etc.
can gain up to 500% and reach 30-40$ easily
2.BNB
Binance coin
who profited most from the gold rush? yes,the companies that sold shovels and mining instruments
this coin should do pretty well, regardless
unless the exchange gets Mtgoxed somehow, which is not very probable
up to 200% growth potential
3.ADA
Cardano's KEVM testnet released, IELE release scheduled for July
if its a success, the coin should be used more as a smart contract tool, eating a share of ETH's market
and subsequently increasing in value
up to 100% growth potential
4.EOS
Its good+Airdrops
mainnet launched  2 of June
could be a hit, watch it closely (or stay flat)

the reward is almost 0.07 btc as of now
given the bonus 10% you recieve for token/satoshi conversion if you reach  1 mil tokens
this equals 0.077 btc prize

Honestly, I would pick a bit easier topic, moreover, if you are a newbie in this field.

haven't we all been newbies in this field not so long ago
if he is willing to study the material and is smart
he will become an expert sooner than you think, cryptocurrencies is not something extra hard to grasp
but then there might be a thesis that sums up all the information about legal aspects of crypta in one place
win win in my books,so don't discourage the man or throw him your one line definitions

This is the best promotion I have ever seen in a bitcoin casino.

Bitvest is offering 1.1 million satoshis for free to the winner of this event and it is going higher now, who knows where can it reach? maybe 2 millions or more xD

Thanks for these amazing promotions Bitvest you are the best.

the prize is over 0.03 bitcoin now!

it can be anywhere between 3 millions and 100 btc ( positive thinking to the max here)
maybe you are the lucky one,who knows

nothing surprising there,Petro is still not a solid option, bolivar is falling
the country is plagued by inflation,so the store of value is needed
bitcoin serves as both a store of value and money
as volatile as it is ,it is better to buy bitcoins and hope for better or keep your savings in venezualian national currency and risk losing it all
without any hope at all, especially seeing how the situation is not improving at all
2214  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legal nature of cryptocurrency on: June 08, 2018, 08:56:10 AM
Hey guys!

I am a 4th-year law student in the UK and want to write a dissertation on legal nature of cryptocurrency. There are 3 predominant ideas regarding the topic. Firstly, some lawyers see it as money. The second view is that it is an obligation. And the last one, and the position mainly taken in the US, is that it is a commodity (like diamonds or oil).

I don't know anything about cryptocurrencies, and maybe someone could help with starting the research or maybe with some expert opinion on the issue?

Thank u very much in advance for any help!

I think it is not very wise to write a dissertation on the subject you have a very vague idea about
you should start your research in (surprise, surprise) Google
I suggest you get a list of search queries, examples: cryptocurrencies+definition, what is cryptocurrency, legal aspects of cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency as a ..... (commodity, obligation, money etc.)
and so on and so forth
get first 100 results on each and skim through to pick ten most relevant, save them, read them, make notes
in the process you will be cross referenced to the sources, books and articles
it is a lot of work, but this way you can become an expert and your dissertation might become a success

do not get me wrong-the only one who doesn't make mistakes is the one that does nothing at all
it is very possible to get your share and make profits in the gambling market
just that you got to offer something better or different than the already existing sites do
dice site is a logical and, probably, the easiest option
it is just that you got to meet money with ideas,so to say-you can have any of that and be a success
ICO backed up with an idea and a roadmap is an option, another option is to cooperate with someone who has money and willing to invest
you can try this section:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0
this is where you look for money or ideas to sponsor Smiley  good luck

I think the two nicest solutions are just making sure your faucet is so much worse than others that it doesn't attract abuse, or just not have it at all.

I got a good chuckle out of this.

strangely enough,made me chuckle too
it reminded me of a story about two eskimos who stumbled upon a polar bear
so one of them starts to put his skis on
the second one says:come on you cannot outrun a polar bear
and the first one replies that he doesn't have to outrun the bear, just have to outrun him instead

don't try to fight the bots-make sure they go and screw the sites with more generous faucets Cheesy
2218  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Account for sale many benefits dm on: June 06, 2018, 08:40:31 PM
hey gyuz i have gambling account free faucets if you wanna to know please dm

I don't think anyone will respond to your call dude. I know not everyone is aware about gambling but they are not dumb that what you are trying to do and what you are planning. Because nowadays there are many people who leverage on other people's money. Don't get angry but I think you are trying to scam people that will do you and I don't trust you with that.

you gyuz did not understand why i sell this account its 356 days old account many benefits as a senior member not just account

don't think there will be a que of people trying to buy, especially given your trust rating
maybe some adventurous guy will dm him and find out what it is all about
pretty sure it is one of the casinos accounts that have a decent faucet that scales with age and levels,my guess would be crypto-games or bitsler Smiley
you must be aware that buying accounts are not only against TOS of all of the casino sites
it is useless and can only lead to it getting banned and you losing your time and money
and thats if the user is telling the truth about it and not trying to scam you outright, which is a possibility as well
2219  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Crypto game Goblin's Diamond - Provably Fair on: June 06, 2018, 05:26:28 PM
tried it out, I could not  test it first with the faucet since the minimum is 100 satoshis and the faucet claim is 50 satoshis only
fortunately I had some bitcoin cash,so tried it out eventually
there is a free play option, but I prefer to play with the real money, even if it is the faucet  Grin
its a fun game, but confusing for a new player: how many bombs are there? what are the viking's helmet and the apple symbols at the bottom of the screen?
what is the house edge for this game?if it is >1% why would anyone be playing it at all ,unless they really really like goblins
you should create a detailed FAQ for the game,IMHO

2220  Other / Serious discussion / Re: All Coins Have a Premine. Prove Me Wrong. on: June 06, 2018, 05:04:47 PM
Block zero, the Genesis Block, for bitcoin or any other coin, always contains instructions for the creation of coins. In the case of bitcoin, it was 50 BTC.

What is the difference between coins created in a Genesis Block and a "premine"? Does the term "premine" necessarily refer to coins created in addition to the amount dictated by a mining reward in block zero?

I'm creating a guide to understanding the blockchain for crypto noobs and would like to get other peoples' opinions on the matter. Thanks.

premine is when a certain amount of coins are sent to an address (or a number of addresses) BEFORE the official launch and distribution
usually justified by the neccessity to fund the coin development, prime example-Etherium
actually,if you look at the coinmarket's top list, there are so many premined coins:Cardano,Ripple,Etherium,Neo etc.
before one could filter all the premined coins on coinmarketcap.com,cannot find the feature anymore
genesis block on the other hand is a block that serves as the foundation for the blockchain,it is the first block of it and establishes the basis for all future blocks
in case of bitcoins, the first 50 coins are UNSPENDABLE
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block

the developer,of course, can edit the genesis block so it is mined faster or gives a much higher reward, the so called "instamine"
in  a way, every coin can be "premined" without the general public knowing
devs always have this advantage and can  make sure a certain group of individuals are ready to mine it before it is released and then get a headstart, yet stay relatively "clean"
