2201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading guides,books,articles whatever on: June 20, 2020, 08:36:47 PM
I suggest you not to buy ebook everywhere because it might lead you from the scam, choose legit seller company like amazon. You can see it here, 100 Best Cryptocurrency Trading eBooks of All Time a bunch of trading ebooks in amazon and choose your desire book for trading but for me, I like the book by Jay Ross.
I didn't think that ebooks can contain a map to a scam, now it is. This is one of the reason why we could have just look through the internet coz we can simply validate the information that lies to it.

I don't recommend any Youtube video or even in any of blogs/articles because there are also a lot of them.
Yeah I've heard there are lots of youtuber try to mislead their viewers but for me I still recommend youtube BUT be a wise viewer and listener you might find some content creators influencing you very hard, always look for the right answer.

In the end it is still depends on what visuals do you prefer, books, internet, videos, charts, etc.
2202  Other / Meta / Re: Allowing NEWBIES to keep flooding and handling scam projects On Bitcointalk on: June 20, 2020, 08:18:54 PM
1. Can't a strict rule come into play that newbies are not allowed to make Bounty post on this forum other than well-known Bounty Manager's that has Been on bitcointalk for a long time: e.g WAPINTER, BOUNTY DETECTIVE and so many of them you know.
If project choose to handle the job by a newbie, then what's problem of you? Avoid the bounties which are managed by them.
The devs on the project is free to choose their bounty/campaign manager it is their right to do so. Newbie managers does not really mean they are newbie in handling campaigns some are already aware of the job, some are just newbie in rank. However I noticed there are some campaigns managed by a newbie which disobeys some forum rules ( i think they are rushing in campaigning without reading the forum rules)

It's we people who are feeding them to launch more.
Newbie or not people will and always look participate for it, the manager is just a small piece of a project.

It's none of forum issue. You can move it to altcoin service discussion.
I hope the OP do so.
2203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the HALVING working out for you ??? Remember all the predictions ???? on: June 20, 2020, 07:27:31 PM
There's nothing wrong with speculation to the market, what is wrong with people is that they already assume that it is going to happen just LIKE YOU. You were not sure whether it is going to go up or down, that's why you are discussing it right now? ironic. And for so long that bitcoin halving is occurring, I can say that the speculation on the 3rd halving is the biggest as it reflects how huge and active the market is. Speculation is what makes the market run, it is core actually. I bet you expected it to skyrocket right?  Grin

I've been tracking this user since day one, he always talks the failures and negative side and I myself do not consider it as constructive criticism.

2204  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: June 20, 2020, 06:21:18 PM
Economy of some country has fall due to they channel their economy one side, what brings economy down is base on focusing on one particular thing not be diversified in different sectors, so when that particular product fails to trend in market the way it's before such country will be shortage of economy and the life of the people will be in danger base on things is moving wrongly to the country.
And the way a country can be free from falling of economy is to spread their economy or diversified economy so that when one of sector shutdown another will pick up.

IMO, diversification is not even the whole problem to economic growth. The endemic problem is a system that is corrupt. If you have corrupt leaders, diversification is just another means to embezzle the people dry because money generated will find its way easily to their belle.
This is one of factor why we have problems to economic growth. Even if you diverse the nation's economy if there is corruption it will just digest by the negative things happening in the government. Look at some countries now, even we are having a pandemic there are still government official who is trying to steal from the fund. I wonder why the governor of Tokyo in Japan resigned after a funds scandal, if he has nothing to do with it then he should stand strong.

A country that has good leaders can better manage a single stream of resources than buoyant diversified economy.
Just a good leader is not enough, we have a lot of them but sometimes the real problem is with the people who he is leading to.
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There Are Now More Than 8,000 Bitcoin ATM's Worldwide on: June 20, 2020, 05:28:44 PM
More than 8000 places with incredible fees. Id rather buy some crypto on bitfinex from card, fees there are lower

There is a belief, that when you buy bitcoin in ATM, you keep your identity unrevealed. Of course, local cameral can still shot your face and try to identify you. But crypto ATM doesn't have a built-in camera, like in usual ATM's.

When you "buy some crypto on bitfinex from card", I'm 100% sure that you need to pass KYC.

Long story short.
Many crypto ATM’s have cameras. Might be not strictly for KYC, rather than to prevent fraud or vandalism.
Source: I have been researching this topic on a thread of mine, and at least two different ATM operators have confirmed that.
In Italian: Comprare Bitcoin senza KYC: Bitcoin bancomat a Milano rispettoso della Privacy
Really? so where is the privacy on crypto ATM machines? - I don't know how it really works but I'm sure you need to connect with your phone, keys or something , I really don't know how crypto ATMs really work, can't imagine tho we have thousands of it already, but isn't it not fair to have cameras? I know ATMs usually have cameras for security but on this one? I'm very skeptical on dealing with one of these, aside it looks so boring to me coz it will be longer than usual ATMs.

So we cannot just order anybody to withdraw our crypto in an ATM?
2206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find the best withdraw fee rate for your exchange? on: June 19, 2020, 05:46:16 PM
Is this a topic for exchange operators or for traders?
These are only for traders as exchange operators has to follow algorithms in accordance to network, the heavy the network the more it generates transaction fee.

Both exchange officials and people who are going to withdraw must need to analyze about the "current network congestion" and from that they must decide about level of fee based on waiting time. There are lots of tools available to directly (without need of bothering about mempool size nor about count of unconfirmed tx) get us the fee structure from immediate confirmation to delayed confirmation.
Network congestion varies every time that's why we need to calculate for every withdrawal that we are making, so the fee basically defined by the network traffic BUT it varies on the exchange also, there are exchanges that has a low trading volume for a specific coin which means you can withdraw it with lower transaction fee.

Exchanges (or any service provider) must need to set withdraw fee that they are going to charge from the withdraw money. When there is big change on network congestion and exchange failed to alter may result in more transaction unconfirmed for longer duration.
Yeah, they can basically check what's going on with their transaction whether it is taking long. The very answer to this question is that, don't withdraw when the market is on fire to minimize your expenses. You can just convert it to stable coins for a while before clearing in.
2207  Economy / Economics / Re: Growing number of institutionnal investors on: June 19, 2020, 04:51:13 PM
- 91% of them would like in the next 5 years cryptos represent at least 0.5% of their portfolio.

If this is an accurate figure, then this would really be a very significant indicator of what will happen in the next 5 years with the cryptocurrency market. When we talk about big players who have trillions of dollars, then even 0.5% represents a significant amount that must undoubtedly have a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin. It would be really interesting to witness when it all starts, because the amounts of BTC are limited and may not be enough for everyone.
The growth is significant for the cryptocurrency in general, I hope this will continue year by year so we just sit and wait til that time comes. If we get enough boost, it would not take a long 5 years to make we could just make it in 2 to 3 years, after the pandemic I guess. The scarcity of the bitcoin will be the key for its success, early adopters don't need to compete in the market just the buy bitcoins.
What is stopping them?
- market manipulation
- lack of knowledge
- volatility

It seems to me that big investors are waiting for some green light in the form of global regulation of cryptocurrencies, because they probably still estimate that the risk of investing in such things is much higher than the possible profit. I do not mean only the volatility, but also the security of the entire crypto infrastructure.
Indeed. There are some hindrances especially in terms of legality of cryptocurrencies, just recently I've read that there are some upbringing of the banning of cryptocurrency in India. This might affect greatly the crypto scene, if this happens expect the crypto to slightly dive and remain on that range shortly.

2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins vs. Stablecoin: which is more suitable for merchant crypto payment? on: June 18, 2020, 07:25:52 PM
Stable coins are altcoins. They are not bitcoin and there are risks that stable coins in your wallets can be frozen by governments. About merchant crypto payments, I think they should integrate different payment methods as many altcoins (includes stable coins) as possible.
What the OP meant is the alternative coins which is volatile apart from stable coins that would also fall from altcoins.

With merchant payments, I guess we are more going to see stable coins on the table simply because they are stable, spending a volatile asset is very risky especially on large quantity it might just give you a future lost that you might regret. However, I don't see any altcoins being adopted by the companies/merchants aside from ethereum and Bitcoin although there are shops that is accepting different crypto and most of them are the devs of that cryptocurrency.
2210  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 18, 2020, 06:09:45 PM
The authorities of my country told everyone to stay at home, but they did not support them financially. People either die of hunger or go to work, so everyone in the country works, find loopholes to justify going to work. This is sad because many continue to get sick.

this is certainly a dilemma that occurs in developing countries, on the one hand the need to make ends meet as a necessity of life must be met. if it does not work, of course there will be no wages that will be used to buy necessities of life. but if it continues to work there will be a risk of transmission of the pandemic. which is feared in developing countries if they do a "lockdown" but the government is not sufficient with assistance.
It is not just in developing, it is happening in the whole world. Every nation has its economy, thus this must be preserve but what happening now is as disastrously bad as a recession as more than 70% of the economy is currently close. As the pandemic cases rises, they suddenly close the economy not knowing that the virus had already spread throughout the globe now that there are clinical trials, some medicines seems to be working to fight the virus. No one is really prepared for the pandemic this 2020.

a new pandemic will emerge, which is hunger, but if it develops into riots it is more dangerous.
Hunger has been there since the beginning. The pandemic term only applies for a disease breakout.
2211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 most profitable coins of this year on: June 18, 2020, 04:24:07 PM
The reason why most crypto investors are not into altcoins anymore because of the possibility of an easy dump by the developers, investors don't like that. It's most likely that someone can dump it right away when you are just buying, or they are just waiting for buyers then sell. Personally, I don't believe in it anymore due to the fact that it's luck as well when you try to invest in one. It's hard for me. I would prefer to trade it against USDT and make a profit in USDT continuously.
Obviously, people now are very cautious on choosing their coin because of the mistrust due to the projects that failed many times. And we cannot deny that some team behind the projects don't really need to prove the project, they will just make a promise after promise then announces that the project is not that feasible anymore to continue. I've been in this situation, been there done that, this might be the reason why I lost my confidence on buying unknown coins. I just stay at the top ranking coins in the market. But I'm glad that coins like these are getting a pump making alternative coins grow.

For the coins that you showed, only these two are the ones I'm familiar with:
  • OKB
  • TEZOS

But I haven't invested in them, or I don't think I will at this point.
I'm thinking on investing with TEZOS, Ive been seeing a discussion about this whether it's worth to invest or not but as I see the performance of the coin I must say that it is worth to give a shot.
2212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Trading coins on Binance Exchange. on: June 18, 2020, 03:30:34 PM
It depends on the market really. The market don't follow a set of rules which you can use to earn a profit. The market is volatile which means even BTC or other coins can go bear. So it depends really on the time you are trading. You will get more if for example ETH is going to break it's resistance which will result on it's Bull market whilst BTC is only stable just bouncing back from it's resistance and support. So what coin will you trade? of course. It's ETH. But that's not always the case. So it really depends when and what coins you are going to trade and if it's the best coin that is appropriate for that time.
As for my trading style I don't usually stick on a single exchange to trade on, what I do is research the whole history of the coin, see the chart, look for the recent movements and then finally look for its exchange availability, well mostly I can find it on popular exchanges like binance and Bitmex. Well I say a good coin to trade in Binance is their utility coin which is the Binance coin, it did perform well last year so it might happen again now any time. And of course bitcoin and ethereum won't be out of the list, go with futures trading in bitcoin with mild leverage.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus lock down boosts on: June 18, 2020, 02:40:03 PM
This is supposed to happen since most of them are in the house and has nothing to do. Many of them are not getting salaries and some of them are getting paid half of the wages. I guess it is pretty sure thing most of them are now trying new ways of earning money. Then comes the bitcoin which is untouched by thousands of people due to no time or less trust on it.
I also think that the lockdown is a factor in the growing community of cryptocurrency, we already seen some huge user growth from the coinbase and binance exchange so most probably the quarantine might be our chance to prepare for a skyrocket this year. What I think is that people are giving shots on cryptocurrency since crypto has been on the news for quite long, they must have been curious about it and so they tried. I hope they get the point of the cryptocurrency tho.

As everyone is seeing bitcoin staying steady no matter with what the world is suffering, they think it's solid exchange deal.
From the past months of having this pandemic, my personlal opinion on bitcoin is that it is not that affected by it in general.
2214  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Merit Tips by mk4 on: June 18, 2020, 01:29:18 PM
When it was first introduced sa forum, nalungkot ako at first syempre hindi pa ko naging hero member before or legendary member kasi pangarap ko talaga yun na rank kahit sino naman siguro pero I realized na hindi yun ang main point ng forum na ito, it was more of the rank that we are getting it was the quality of the forum. I barely remember when it was launched noong 2018 pa yata, marami siguro nakapansin sa atin kung paano nag boom ang crypto that time kaya naman tinake advantage ng iba itong forum para sumali sa mga bounty camps. That time rin naglipana ang mga ban appeals dahil sa hindi constructive na post kumbaga mema posts lang. (sorry taglish )
2215  Economy / Economics / Re: India-China border tensions on: June 17, 2020, 07:47:10 PM
China is facing or has created a tense atmosphere across her borders. It has territorial disputes with Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so on. Not to mention the countless other disputes unrelated to territory. But still China is the largest trading nation in the world. It is the largest exporting country in the world.
It seems like China wants to create a lot of conflict because this is what will make their products more expensive. Imagine if India will enter trade war in China just like USA, tariffs will be expensive just like the USA. China is smart, they are playing with traps full of disputes, this might be the next war after the pandemic.

So I would say that the China-India border issue is not much of an issue unless it escalates into a full blown war. For the meantime, international trade will be business as usual.
We know how China handle things, and when they do they always play it aggressively. This isn't alarming til China announces.

Cryptocurrency is out of that picture.
Indeed.
2216  Economy / Economics / Re: Soul shout on: June 17, 2020, 06:30:18 PM
In most countries, people 18-22 are on very low salaried jobs or employers don't think their qualified enough or too qualified for a job.
Basically the superiors thinks that they are too fresh to do the job well done, so most of them are placed in a basic job whose salary is the minimum, and I think it's normal depends on the degree of study. Besides we are all need to do the basic ones in order for us to learn and it's pretty normal for new seekers.
To me, there's little point working at minimum wage until it's at its highest. Student loans aren't problematic they're just made to seem that way afaik... A degree should only set you back £60k, which if youre earning enough for it to impact you, you can pay it off pretty quickly - otherwise it's not a problem.
Student loan is unnecessary, if you still got family house to be into then so be it, you don't need to rent or buy on your own unless you already have a family ( that's a matter of burden for me ) you got time to save enough to live on your own, no need to rush.
A lot of people also aren't after financial freedom, they'd probably just say they'd get bored and keep working. If you're wanting to travel you could find a job that pays you to do that too probably.
yeah, I already see people keeping their job even they got more enough and I think it's good for them coz you would not know when the disaster of your life will come.

I think Binance is fine for trading.

2219  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 16, 2020, 05:52:01 PM
Corruption, widespread unemployment and lack of solid plans to jumpstart the economy. The government's debt rose to $175 billion dollars and not much of that money ever came into good use aside from the inconsistent and rather shady financial assistance. Online sellers of the smallest scale are also being considered to be taxed just to get some funds going on, but many people surely hate that idea. The government is also trying funky ways to get some.money, but the citizens are having none of it.
I came from the same country and there is no doubt that we are fucked up in here. The shadiness from financial is extreme, we have a debt over trillion peso, 200+ billion funds for the pandemic yet I still don't get the government cash assistance I signed up last March. They are reopening the economy, at least half of it, they opened the jobs for people but they did not let the public transportation do their job to fetch this workers, so what they are going to do? walk a 20 kilometer highway ? lol

Greetings from the Philippines. A country of fucked-up politicians and clowns.
But the president seems to be doubtful also of his own government, imagine he released the funds to LGU yet we receive less, soooooo frustrating  Angry
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can others compare to bitcoin's values? on: June 16, 2020, 05:04:01 PM
Blockchain in broader sense also comes with more benefit and I love one quality the most, "Immutable".
The immutability of the blockchain is the reason why most of us call it the future technology, simply because it helps the masses to discover information publicly. But this immutable data can also be a disadvantage when you accidentally chained a false information ( in general ) some might be confused or mislead. Sometimes modification is necessary, can we have that as a special power in blockchain?

Even if you Google it you will see big articles stating immutability of the blockchain. The literal meaning states that something after its creation can not be modified.
Maybe this is the reason why corrupt is against blockchain  Huh lol
