2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bookie - Sports Betting Exchange on the Blockchain Wants Your Input on: January 07, 2018, 12:18:43 PM
Football and Cricket are the most popular games for the sports betting. Football is popular all over the world and cricket is highly popular in indian subcontinent, UK, Australia, Caribbean and South Africa. There are many people who bets on the T20 cricket leagues like IPL and Big Bash league, so i would suggest you to also include cricket on your betting platform.
2203  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will Bitcoin transations be taxed in all countries in the future? on: January 07, 2018, 11:50:58 AM
Bitcoin transactions can not be taxed by the governments as it is a decentralized currency.  On other hand, if you are generating income through the bitcoins then as per the local law you are entitled to pay the tax. Any kind of government tax will provide little legal status to the bitcoins, which is a good thing for the bitcoin community.
2204  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will You Still Get Into Bitcoin Even if the Gov't Declared it Illegal? on: January 07, 2018, 10:51:36 AM
My country is in a process to ban the bitcoins, our government has already issued many notifications regarding risk involved with the cryptocurrencies but still people are investing into the bitcoins and other cryptos at their own risk. Government has clearly stated that citizens should stay away from crypto currencies and government will not be responsible for any losses. Even if my country's government banned the bitcoins then i will still continue to hold the bitcoins.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 06, 2018, 08:47:58 AM
IND vs SA : India managed to bowled out SA before 300 runs and it could be considered as a good performance. Good fight given by the AB Devillieres, Duplesis, D'cock and Maharaj; which helped SA to score descent runs in the 1st innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was very impressive, full credit should be given to the indian bowlers. Now it will be a real test for the indian batsman, facing dale steyn is not a joke.
SA at least managed to score 286 runs with the help of ABD, FDP and Kock but now I doubt that India can reach this score. They also lost 3 early wickets just for 25 runs. SA bowlers look very dangerous to compare Indian bowlers. I think this match will end very soon it will not go the 5th day of the match .

In spite of the 3 early wickets, I think India still hold a slight edge. If they can manage to navigate the first session tomorrow without losing any wickets, then the pitch will become easier to bat on. The Indian bowlers will be disappointed that their efforts are being neutralized by the South African bowlers taking wickets as well.

The current pair is the last hope as if they both get settled then they can score high and give India a good score to defend it.

If Rohit Sharma and Pujara gets out then India will be in a big trouble, they have to show some patience and they should leave the difficult deliveries instead of getting caught behind. Dale Steyn is in superb form, it will be interesting to see how indian batsman tackle this difficult session.
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: January 06, 2018, 08:40:13 AM
I made my first bet on directbet.eu on a T20 cricket match between India and South Africa, I was lucky enough that i won the bet and doubled my coins. As per me, directbet was the best site for sports betting.
2207  Other / Meta / Re: A proposed sticky all about Activity and ranks on: January 05, 2018, 04:23:07 PM
That's a very good idea, it will help to reduce the unwanted threads started by the newbies to know about the above mentioned sticky details. More such initiatives should be taken in order to make this forum clean and relevant.
2208  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: January 05, 2018, 04:18:48 PM
What are everyone's ideas for improving post quality?

I have mostly ruled out:

 - Removing signatures or sig ads globally.
 - Requiring payment to wear sig ads.
 - Banning account sales.

A couple of ideas that have been floating around in my head:

1. To attain ranks above Member, you'd have to earn some number of merit points. Merit points would be awarded in a monthly vote on best posts of the previous month, with various measures (TBD) to prevent gaming of the vote. Winning merit points might also come with a BTC prize.

2. Create or designate some sections as "serious discussion" sections, with no signatures. In those sections or maybe in different ones, also have poster restrictions such as Member rank or above only. And/or allow topic-creators to set these restrictions on their topics, similar to selfmod topics.

What do you think of these ideas, and what other ideas do people have?

It will increase your work load and you will be required more staff in order to execute your plan. Lots of planning and manpower will be required to roll out your rules. I would suggest to make their rank to lower one if your team found anyone spamming.

2210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC fluctuating SO MUCH? on: January 05, 2018, 04:00:49 PM
Huh It's a rollercoaster???

It will be remain like this for a while, there are many traders who are eyeing to book the profit constantly during the short period; which resulted in the high volatility in the bitcoin market. Be cautious while investing into bitcoins and don't put all your money into the bitcoins, spread the money among the other good coins as well on account for less risk.

2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't Transfer BTC Because of High TX fee on: December 25, 2017, 10:28:44 AM
This is very frustrating as the bitcoins transactions are getting really uneconomical and hence this needs to be stop. People are shifting from bitcoins to other cryptocurrencies in order to make faster and affordable transaction. Main motive behind the introduction of the bitcoins has been lost somewhere due to such high transaction fees and slow network.
2214  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the next big thing? on: December 25, 2017, 10:21:00 AM
Bitcoin has already proved that it is the next big thing and it will be getting bigger and bigger by each passing year. Many countries are in the process to legalize the bitcoins which will further boost the growth of the bitcoins. Furthermore, there is a need to upgrade the bitcoin network to process the transactions faster.
2215  Economy / Reputation / Re: "FREE" BTC accelerators looks like one person behind on: December 25, 2017, 10:14:23 AM
It is hard to say that but this needs to be stop somewhere, these people may be earning enough through the tips for running the fake service. Moderators should take strict action against them before these people managed to scam more people.
2216  Other / Meta / Re: Does it mean thread deleted? on: December 25, 2017, 09:53:44 AM
Some thread says error like "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."
It means i cant access due to newbie or something?

Yes, it could have been deleted by the moderators. They are randomly keeping a check on the spam threads and irrelevant topics, if moderators found any then either it gets deleted or moved to appropriate section.
2217  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BITCOIN MAY BE LEGAL IN INDIA on: December 25, 2017, 09:35:54 AM
It is expected that Bitcoin may be legal in India as Indian Govt. imposed TAX on transaction of cryptocurrency.

As of now, they don't have any plan to legalize the bitcoins. But the government of india has appointed a committee to study the cryptocurrency market. Government has already collected the data from the top exchanges from india and now they are planning to probe the people to provide the source of money which was invested into the bitcoins. At the same time, if some one has made huge profit by trading the bitcoins then they may have to pay tax as per the authorities decision.

But still i think that, it is good step by the indian government in order to streamline the cryptocurrencies.
2218  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are bitcoins an e-currency? on: December 25, 2017, 09:29:56 AM
At the moment I consider bitcoins as a digital asset, because currently most of the users are preferring to hold the bitcoins for making good profit in the future and very small percentage of users are actually making transactions by using the bitcoins.
2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 25, 2017, 09:15:46 AM
Sri Lanka have gotten off to a very bad start, slumping to 18/3. Thankfully, this is a T20 match and one good partnership is what they need. They cannot afford to slow down and play a watchful innings, given India's strong batting line up.

SL were only able to make 135/7 in their 20 overs. eraly 3 wickets jolt the batting of the SL innings and due to which they were not able to make a big score. I think India should win this match easily and whitewash this series. SL will really need to think about their team's performance after this series.

Well I thought this should be easy to India too but looks like there is something for the bowlers in this pitch and hence if SL can bowl well to top order and if they are able to pick quick wickets then they will be back in the game.

Yes, Sri Lankan bowlers were able to generate bounce from the track and managed to get a few top order wickets. The match went right to the last 2 overs, but the presence of MS Dhoni cooled down some nerves. Dinesh Karthik hit a six in the penultimate over (albeit of a juicy full toss) to seal the match in India's favour.

Actually, if SL should have scored another 20 to 30 runs then match would have been even more thrilling. But in yesterdays match all the top SL batsman didn't score runs. Only because of three batsmen they reached that total but anyway it was a good match to watch the last over. Again Dhoni proved how important his knowledge to the team for winning matches.

That was a close match, if there were additional 20 or 30 runs then it was a tough task for the Indian batsman. Sri Lankan bowlers did good job and restricted indian batsman from scoring quick runs but they failed to get the important wickets of Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik, which made the difference.
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have NEVER seen Bitcoin in such a sorry state as this!! on: December 24, 2017, 09:45:30 AM
No mate, there has been huge volumes on the bitcoin network and it will take some more time to find the appropriate solution. but till then we as a community member have to support the bitcoins. I agree that there has been frustration while make the bitcoins transactions but i hope the situation will be resolved in coming days. So please do not cash out all the coins, at least hold few bitcoins.
