1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 13, 2020, 01:10:06 PM
maybe your intentions are good,, so that people avoid the covid-19 attack. However, in my opinion, the use of bitcoin as an alternative to online payments is less effective, because it seems that in every country including mine, many electronic money services have been widely used for various payment needs during this pandemic.
for people who already understand the cryptocurrency system, it is possible to make bitcoin a job like trading or even for investment. But you have to realize, not everyone has this expertise, even there are still many people who are not familiar with bitcoin.
let's talk about the time that it takes for the transaction to be confirmed, it is quite a lot as compared to other digital payment methods and the transactions made over the cryptocurrency network aren't reliable with much fewer confirmations, for example a bitcoin transaction takes almost 6 blocks to get confirmed and trusted but the payments made by the digital methods to shops are considered more reliable. Also, most of the population doesn't even know about these cryptocurrencies and they are happy in not knowing these things as they want to live a simple life and not want to complicate it more with these cryptocurrencies.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most of The DEFI coins are 50% up in last 7days!! on: August 10, 2020, 06:29:54 PM
I was checking the Defi coins list on Coingecko. I saw that most of the Defi coins got a huge boost in last 7 days.  Maximum of those are already 50%+ up in the last 7 days. Is it because Bitcoin becomes stable in a new price range?
Or there is any other reason behind it?
What your thoughts about this?

Check the list here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/defi

Many reasons behind this, first one is that we are in the middle of a bull market and it is mostly always a trend that first the price of bitcoin rises and then the altcoins follow, same is happening now, the bitcoin price rose a couple of days ago and became stable and now the altcoins are pumping. The second one can be the DeFi hype that was going on before the start of the bitcoin bull run, because before the start of bull run of bitcoin, the DeFi coins were already rising in price but bitcoin pump gave more fuel to the DeFi rocket and now it has already made many DeFi coins to boom in the past week or so.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to too many promoters on: August 10, 2020, 01:51:27 PM
Bounty managers do not care about the number, they are just doing their job so there is no way that this could be done thanks to bounty managers, they could only follow orders. When we are talking about the team, why would they pay a lot more money to just few people versus paying small amount for thousands of people?

In the end the result is paying the same amount for them but in one of them they are getting a lot of people while in the other they are getting only few. Sure they could consider quality over quantity but they are not the bounty manager, they don't know who will be picked and they are not sure about the quality, so instead of picking not so sure quality, they pick guaranteed quantity and that way they are making as much profit from it as they can with a lot of people promoting them.
The team would definitely be happy with more number of participants in the same budget as compared to less number of participants under that same budget. The main purpose of the team is to have more number of social shares and more exposure of their project on the social media platforms so as to reach more number of people and increase their chances of a successful project launch. But it is the choice of the manager to have a hard cap on the number of participants so as to have better post quality of the participants because they will be getting more money for promoting that project and thus they will do a proper job.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new drama has started in Altcoin on: August 09, 2020, 03:17:12 PM
AS for many days, the crypto market is now in good conduction as compare from the last three to four months. But now a new thing in coming to altcoin, that the prices of all altcoins are fluctuating very badly and not able to stable in a single position for at least an hour. So, what should we do in this dramatic conduction of altcoin?
High risk high reward strategy is to be doing margin trading if you know how to do it and should only do if you have a previous experience with margin trading in the past and know how to do technical analysis. But for those who don't know TA then only trading the altcoins is the option that they have to go for. Also now a days there is the availability of flash loans and you can combine these flash loans with arbitrage opportunities and then you can make a killing without risking much of your coins in that trade, all you gotta pay is the transaction fees and that's it.
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Those initial exchange offering (IEO) reduce opportunities for bounty hunters? on: August 09, 2020, 02:10:25 PM
I believe that past failed IEO and ICO are eye opening events that have turned many investors into a better investors, who don't know that top exchanges are the only exchanges with the better chance of success for any IEO projects?
For the projects running on the Exchanges for IEO there is also a great chance that they will fail to perform good and can still be a big upset. But the thing is with those projects the chances of the bounty hunters getting scammed or not paid are pretty less as these projects will definitely get listed on that exchange and for sure will not scam people, but the rewards are always less or nothing compared to those projects where the team hosts an ICO or is hosted on a low grade exchange where the reward is high but the risk if getting scammed is also high due to poor regulations implemented by these exchanges.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens??? on: August 09, 2020, 10:55:28 AM
Of course it is risky to invest in new coins or tokens because we still know a little about the project behind it.
But when there is high risk, there is also high gain. I mean, when the coin is still new, the price is usually low and we can buy a good amount of it. Later when the coin already listed and the price high, we can sell it with high profit.
Mostly the price doesn't even reach the ICO price and after a month or two, the coin dies and becomes another 1 satoshi coin that no one buys. There isn't any profit to invest in these kinds of coins, for newbies it will be better to stay off these new crypto coins as they don't know the difference between a scam project and a legitimate project, I guess for starters they should only focus buying the established coins and after gaining more knowledge about the coin offerings and the scams related to these offerings then they should go and invest in those tokens.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to trade ether as an alternative to Bitcoin trading. on: August 08, 2020, 03:02:38 PM
Here are three reasons why trade Ether (ETH) as an alternative to Bitcoin trading.
First, portfolio diversification when the market is in a sideways condition. In fact the sideways phenomenon is common in any asset market.
Second, ETH has a high trading volume that competes with Bitcoin and USDT, including its market capitalization which is second only to Bitcoin.
Third, ETH Ethereum's performance is better than Bitcoin in 2020. In the midst of global market turmoil affected by COVID-19, in general crypto assets are still relatively stable compared to the stock market.

ETH is also one of the crypto assets that managed to recover and be stable after the market crash in March 2002. In fact, in the first semester of 2020, ETH emerged as the winner ahead of Bitcoin in terms of ROI by a 75 percent increase.
Ethereum is the centre of all DeFi coins, so if you are buying Ethereum then you are having a stake in the future as well when the DeFi coin gets launched on the Ethereum blockchain there will be a lot of buy pressure and hence the price will go up. Ethereum 2.0 is coming and again the price is going to go up as the POW model will be shifted to POS and people will need 32 ETH for being the validator node and thus the buying pressure is gonna go up and hence the price will follow it soon. I guess these are also one of the valid reasons to buy Ethereum and have a bag full of Ethereum for yourself.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 08, 2020, 01:07:10 PM
Its because they dont understand the uses and worth of bitcoin. Some people are not aware of how it really works and they just simply rely to the news. But sometimes if the report is against btc they will believe on it so they had a mindset that its just a scam. Like what happened here in our country, there's a certain report of how scammers used btc to scam people. They use it as a tool to take advantage others who are eager to earn. So despite of the growing community of crypto enthusiasts, its not unusual to see those against bitcoin.
Along with the scam news, there was a lot of news going in the past about the relation of bitcoins with darknet marketplaces and how that money was used to support money laundering and finally terrorism, but the news stations never say that Fiat is used for money laundering and financing terrorism. The image of bitcoin is tainted in the eyes of the public and the government also never miss any chance they get to keep the tainted image of bitcoin intact in the eyes of the public. There are a lot of hacks that are going online and there aren't any big news on TV about those hacks, but when bitcoin gets involved then everyone has to report these hacks and specifying BITCOIN in each sentence.
1709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: August 08, 2020, 12:08:18 PM
Bitcoin really shows a progressive price these days and even other people predicted it might never reach ath there’s still some optimistic about it. We cannot halt them for those desperate people talking about bitcoin and treated it as Ponzi scheme. Others lurking around about bitcoin that gives a negative impact there’s a possibility it will reach the all time high again.
Just because someone said that bitcoin won't reach the ATH again, it doesn't mean that it wouldn't reach the ATH anymore in the future, maybe the person was crazy for getting attention and he said that comment just in order to gain some attention or there can be many reasons behind his statement. But as more and more people are joining the bitcoin buying spree we can actually see the bitcoin price skyrocket one more time in the future and this time it will most probably reach the ATH and more than $25k should be the next target after breaching the previous high of $20k.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best place to find new low cap projects? on: August 07, 2020, 02:26:23 PM
Hi buddies, wife and i are interesting in doing some fundamental analysis for very new/low cap coins with potential in the upcoming months. Apart from bitcointalk and reddit, are there any websites you recommend for finding these moonshots?

Aditionally, i have been looking for a nice short (5-20 mins episodes) podcast with multiple updates per week regarding crypto news, new projects and so on. The one i used to follow seems to be gone. Any tips?
You can find every crypto on Coingecko but the analysis has to be done by you and it will be interesting to hear a podcast by someone on low cap coins, most of the people out here are doing the analysis for the top coins. But it won't be worth your time, to be frank, most of those coins are dead and that's the reason why they are in the bottom of the table. But wishing you luck for your future project and I hope you succeed with it and also give the community a decent amount of knowledge.
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: August 07, 2020, 01:36:04 PM
I just heard about the project, related to ICO I also did not think that ICO was dead, actually there are still many ICO projects launched in this forum, ICOs are still an alternative for investment, but every day the number of ICO fraud increases. Investors tend to decline, less interested in a new ICO and now the DEFi program is the current investment trend.
I think the ICO trend is now almost dead and what is left is just the bread crumbs of the past that the scavengers are eating, it is about time for stopping of the ICO. I guess the IEO trend is also about to go down due to the coming of the new DeFi system of finance and when more applications will be built on top of it, it would lead to the end of these ICO and IEO for sure. Even now also all the DeFi coins are gaining a huge amount of market cap and are being pumped on a daily basis which is like never seen before.
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What difficulty do you face on trading bitcoin? on: August 07, 2020, 12:20:01 PM
I'm using a VPN and some of the trading platforms I'm using right now are allowed me to use the VPN because it's all requires the KYC every time you change a country to access still this is secured to use.

Having a peer to peer transaction is quite risky on them because they need to meet outside and make a transactions we want to avoid getting trouble if this is kind of set up.
In the case if you want to do a peer to peer transaction you can actually use the decentralized exchanges where you won't have to pay huge fees that are always done when we are withdrawing our bitcoins from our wallet and also you won't have to do any KYC also if you are using any decentralized exchange. It is the best suitable method of buying and selling your cryptocurrencies even in those countries where bitcoin isn't legal till now. Previously I also used to buy and sell my bitcoins without any exchange using marketplaces where people used to accept PayPal and even bank transfers too.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: August 06, 2020, 01:45:34 PM
Nowadays, most of the people are not investing their hard-earned money into ICO's and IEO's, because being very matured in researching the project. In order to find a legit project we should always invest in it only after listing on the exchange, otherwise, we have to forget about those coins.

But most of the times the Coins offer extra rewards for investing in their IEO or ICO for the early investors and what if the coin goes to moon straight up after getting listed on the exchange, I know the chances of it happening now are less because of these scams going on in the market but still those early adapter rewards make up for the risk that we are taking by investing early in those projects. I prefer not to join the IEO or ICO but I trade in my time and join their bounty campaigns for getting those tokens and have somewhat safer side.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Best Course Of Action? on: August 06, 2020, 12:53:02 PM
Just a question to ask for advice. Right now with all the markets they way they are. Bitcoin is always in the upward in the market.  Of course it has periods of going down. But crypto market is doing quite well in these times.

I am asking what is the best course of action?

Should I just keep buying and HODL and keeping my Bitcoin for a rainy day?

Or is trading is back and forth to stable coins and trying to make more gains a good action plan too?

Need suggestions and advice. thanks
You can get burned in this market if you are new in trading crypto and start trading in BTC/USDT market pair because everyone is predicting the price to go up but no one knows what is the upper limit of the price, your best bet would be to become attentive and when the traders are saying that this is the max bitcoin can go then sell your small portion of coins and then wait for the price to dump, if it really dumps then sell all your coins and if the signal was false then you would still be having bitcoins with you. But the more important thing in the big picture is to always buy bitcoins whenever you can no matter what is the price of bitcoin in the current market in future when bitcoin is at $100k then this $11k price will seem to be a bargain that you are getting now.

1717  Economy / Economics / Re: What profit has brought you to bitcoin? on: August 01, 2020, 04:20:18 AM
Bitcoin was first introduced to me by a close friend way back on 2018. Just then, I began to work in Cryptoworld but not so often. I began to focus on late 2019 up to now and started earning on Bitcoin. I admit, I am not that so knowledgeable enough when it comes to trading and investing but I am so glad that I was able to bring food on the table and help my family especially in this strange time by giving all my efforts in doing all the bounty tasks as I continuously learning.
You should try ranking up higher by helping out members here on the forum which will award you merit and when you reach a higher rank then you can even earn much higher rewards through signature campaigns than any social media bounties that you are doing on the forum. Previously it used to be on the basis of the days that the person posted on the forum(i.e. Activity points) but now it is on the basis of merit along with activity points.
1718  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC up 42% year to date while Gold did good at 28%. Will it carry on? on: July 31, 2020, 05:12:59 AM
In any case, gold and cryptocurrencies are among the best investments. But there are a lot of unpredictable factors in the cryptocurrency market that affect quotes. compared to cryptocurrencies, gold does not have such global price fluctuations. Today, many cryptocurrency users are most interested in cryptocurrency and its volatility, but it is very difficult to predict what will happen after Bitcoin, for example, reaches its maximum.
If you are talking about the time when all the 21 million bitcoins are mined then I can be sure the world would go fully digital in terms of payment by then and most of the population would be holding cryptocurrencies with them as an investment, which the banks and government are afraid of.
But if you are talking about the maximum price of bitcoin then there isn't any way possible to determine the maximum price, if the demand for bitcoin rises then the price also increases and vice versa. I think gold won't be the ideal investment for many in the future and will be replaced by bitcoin or any other investment option.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: July 30, 2020, 09:36:40 AM
Ledger Hardware Crypto Wallet Team Disclosed Data Breach, 1 Mln Users' Data Under Attack
A third-party attacker accessed the segments of e-commerce and promotional databases holding the email addresses of customers.
Additionally, 9,500 users were exposed to a leak of order details: name, street address, phone number and the details of what they ordered.
Now a lot of customers will be getting spam in their inboxes about new updates of the wallet along with the links to download those updates. I have seen this a lot of times when the spammers use these data breaches to send the spam mails and the ignorant users fall in these traps pretty easily.

Should we use temp email addresses and temp credentials for that? How to recieve packages anonymously? What is the best way to do that? Should we use properly mixed coins for buying hardware wallets? Please note, the only goal of all of that is to preserve our privacy, safety, financial sovereignty, it should not be used to facilitate any illegal activities.
Temporary mails aren't necessary, you can create a separate email for this purpose only. You can have those packages dropshipped and then that service can send you the package after receiving it.
I prefer to send my bitcoins to an exchange which doesn't require any KYC and then let them stay there for a week or two before ordering anything and then send those coins to a new wallet while using proxies or a VPN and then send the bitcoins for ordering what I was about to order. By doing this I satisfy my paranoid nature of leaking any information online.
1720  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC up 42% year to date while Gold did good at 28%. Will it carry on? on: July 30, 2020, 06:13:43 AM
All I am trying to say is the price of Bitcoin cannot be predicted, it is more extremely volatile when compared to the price of gold. No one can answer if it will carry on or not.
In hard financial times the price of gold can also be unpredictable and it can also be volatile just like cryptocurrencies. The fact that due to the economic tensions going around and the governments printing a lot of money the value of fiat currencies is becoming lower and lower so the demand for a safe investment is going up and the most affordable investment that is tried and tested is always gold. People feel safe investing their money in gold so the price of gold is now increasing in these times. But cryptocurrencies are still the instrument of investment for somewhat tech-savvy people and thus they are investing in bitcoins and getting better gains than investing in gold.
