CGMiner settings to reach that speed on these cards?

Guys I got an idea... I will count to 3 and we all start posting on this thread: I WANT A NEW BLOCK!
Please make sure you really mean it otherwise it won't work.

1... 2... 3!

Thanks for sharing! I'll give it a try! BTW is --queue 4 because you have 4 boards? Shall I use 2 for 2 boards? Grin

That has to do with work queuing from the pool. I believe it is a leftover from an older version of cgminer that would run into work shortages without it... I don't think it is even needed anymore but I leave the option there as it's working well. If you do add it I would leave it at 4.

I will, thanks for your assistance!  Cheesy
2204  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BitBurner Fury ~50GH/s IN STOCK 499€ on: November 06, 2013, 09:54:54 AM
My 2 boards + PSU have arrived today, that was quick! Ordered Saturday, shipped Monday and arrived Tuesday!

Both boards work fine on Win 8.1 + CGMiner 3.6.6, they average at about 46 GH/s each but only using suggested default settings.

- Used Zadig Driver 2.0.1.160 first for CGMiner to detect them.

- My CGMiner options are: --avalon-options 115200:64:10:50:256 --bitburner-voltage 1300

Has anyone found better options to squeeze a little more out of 2 boards?
Do I need 64 for number of chips even with CGMiner 3.6.6 or should I go with 32 instead?

You should be able to use 32 as you have two boards.

With 4 boards I run:

--avalon-cutoff 63 --bitburner-voltage 1380 --avalon-options 115200:64:10:d:278 --queue 4

This gives right around 50Gh/sec

Thanks for sharing! I'll give it a try! BTW is --queue 4 because you have 4 boards? Shall I use 2 for 2 boards? Grin

I believe I can fiddle with the last 2 set of numbers 50:256 and the voltage, anyone else with 2 boards has some suggestions?

I assume my boards were from batch 3? Maybe still batch 2? I ordered them last week so should I still do a firmware update?
If I connect the provided 2 port Canbus cable I get USB write errors... yes I did add 2 termination jumpers on each board.
So I'm just using 2 x micro USB cables and the USB ports are firmly attached to the boards, no issue so far!

CryptX could you confirm the batch number and if I need a FW Update? Order Number was 1375.

Have to say thanks to Bert at CryptX for the uber fast shipping and if I had more dosh I would get another few, hopefully soon!

Is there an HP12 being worked on at the moment? Seems like so long ago HP11 came out...
But then I guess most people is pool mining on Ypool or Beeeeer.

I have two sapphire dual-x 280x cards, both manage right around 750kh/s with these settings.

-setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
-setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp:// -u  -p  -I 13 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 --worksize 256 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 1500

Thanks for sharing! I'll give your settings a shot.  Wink
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: November 01, 2013, 01:42:55 AM

Thanks for sharing, looks like I will pass until the price of the GPU drop..

I got a 280X and I'm able to get ~740KH/s @ 1100/1500, I love this card and I want to order 10 more!
Running @80C at maybe 30DB, its almost silent.

I really want to get a 270 and see if I can get 700KH/s, because its almost 100 USD cheaper

Which one did you get?

I tried MSI TwinFroz OC Gaming (which failed after a week of mining) and HIS IceQ X2 Boost. Both freshly released 280X.

- MSI was silent and performed around 700KH/s at stock 1000/1500 with temp 80/81 C, really like this card, compact
- IceQ same performance at 1000/1500, silent but at a max of 68/71 C (+1 from me), only thing it's huge at 31cm length, but solid and hopefully long lasting

Haven't overclocked nor undervolted yet but if anyone could post their CGMiner settings for the same kinda cards maybe of help, I'm sure I can squeeze a little more out of them. I use

Code:
-I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --shaders 2048

Looking forward to see price and availability of 290 and 280 non X versions but as per the 290X it's a nono cos of the noise that thing makes!

New blog posting from Merc  Grin

http://cryptogenicbullion.org/#blog

Hold on a minute, if the CGB Max Coin Cap get raised then it would not be as rare as originally specified if it were still at 2000000...
So it will dilute the value of the coin. So what was that a marketing measure to draw people in the rarest coin then change it once it has taken followers?

I got an MSI R9-280X OC Edition last week, mines at 740K temp 78/81 C and it's incredibly silent.  Grin

Guys who recieved their boards...before recieving your boards were there any status changes on your fedex trafikamang page?

Yes.

Quote
Or boards did show out of nowhere?

Fedex almost fucked up, but after enough complaining persuaded them I need it TODAY and got the board on an evening delivery at work.

Can you confirm the hashing speed of your board/s? Thanks in advance.  Cheesy

Can someone who received their orders confirm the actual hash rate per board? Thanks in advance.

Today I found a link to the Scrypt ASIC International site on another thread re the new AMD R9X cards and I clicked on it. I didn't hear from them before so I looked through the site (more a blog) and went to the contact us section and submitted a query on when I could preorder one of their miners.
Less than 5 minutes later I got a reply and is pasted below together with the 4 pictures they attached, make ur own judgement  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Hi xxxxx,

I have a Unit 1 at home doing beta testing so you are in luck, I really
don't want the community to think that this company has a favorite coin
if i mine on a pool as it could really effect trust in the company. I
will however solo mine a random Scrypt coin for you and send you a
screenshot of my cgminer hashing and accepting blocks. I have had the
Unit 1 for a week now beta testing it and I have to say it runs amazing
on every single coin I tried it on solo.

If you are happy and ready to order, I can take the Bitcoin payment for
you order amount tonight even and call the warehouse staff to move how
ever many Unit you order to the reserved lockup.

The same as before each Unit 1 is £1500 equivalent in Bitcoins and
included worldwide delivery.

I can authorise you only 10 Units for purchase, the rest are going to be
for the release day in two months time.

Please let me know what you would like to do.

Kindest Regards
Scott Davenro

Thanks for the info guys, I'm keen on the 7990, the price has gone down considerably since release when it was bundled with 8 games. But will look into the 7970 too. What is the nominal speed of a 7970, 600 KH/s?

Is the bitcoin boat sinking?

Looks like it, 15 hours for a block between yesterday and today... That is on Slush's Pool. If the difficulty goes to 200000000 (which is most likely) in 2 weeks time will it still be worth to mine on pools for small miners? Maybe we should all go solo? You won't get much out of pools neither solo but hey if you find a block when soloing it's all yours!  Grin Would be nice to hear what you guys think about it.

Also I was thinking of investing in a Cointerra 2TH box but by the time I get it (Jan or probably "2 weeks time" after that deadline) the difficulty will be so high that you'd need 20TH to mine anything.

And another query, if mining will become impossible/unprofitable for most people will Bitcoin lose its steam?

1 - I would jump in the first random bus without knowing where it goes and see where I end up.

2 - If the last stop is in a popular area I will then go and find a nice club and get sloshed until the last Satoshi is spent.

3 - If the bus stops in the middle of nowhere I will meditate until the next bus comes along. And repeat from step 1.
