I agree and that is why I want to see a USD/XMR pair RIGHT now! I want nothing to do with BTC anymore.....
I was just about to post same question and here it is.

There is enough
278.475450179850 xmr including unlocked dust
   1.247663779850

I wonder why balance differs after two digits after comma where dust begins. I am not good at math Smiley

[edit]: I am OK with that unusable dust, just hope everything works correctly.

I have a question how sweep_dust works. I have some xmr including unlocked dust: 1.247663779850

I tried sweep_dust command and got

Code:
Error: not enough money to transfer, available only 0.204482410000, transaction amount 0.460000000000 = 0.230000000000 + 0.230000000000 (fee)

Is all your balance unlocked?
Yes, it's unlocked. But I don't understand those amounts, that wallet said.

I guess I have too many small transactions with dust - I made mistake withdrawing from Poloniex all moneroj including dust few times. Now I withdraw only round amounts.
[Edit] Shapeshift also sends dust when exchange.

I must confess I often google for and find a solutions to different problems on Stackoverflow (for example related to Wordpress, php, javascript etc.).

Give me Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Draw and Battlefield 3 for Linux and I'll abandon Windows. For now I must run my Monero node under Windows :/

Since Monero is fungible (nice!) it can't have colored coins, correct? One XMR = one XMR.

Lets say as a business I would like to make a 10 million USD (Monero market cap), international, private and instant transaction with another company. Monero would be perfect for this. But since Monero is fungible, I can't just color a coin and say it represents our 10 million USD transaction.

How can such a thing currently be solved without moving the price too much?
Use Payment ID ? This will allow you to confirm that the money were sent.

Not to off clutter off topic on that thread  I reply on this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1139756.msg13635019#msg13635019 with idea that seems important to me.

What is missing from your analysis smooth is that at what level of featureness are businesses willing to embrace block chains. I argue CN/RingCT is below the acceptable level and can not be raised to that level because the fundamentals are not End-to-End principled (also because can only make the payers, payees, and values obscured and not any type of script and other aspects of the block chain data). Business will prefer private databases where they can hide all the data until public block chains mature enough to do so. Public block chains promise more interoption and network effects, once we can make them truly private.

I try to light a fire under you guys to get you refocused on technology that can meet your goal of being a privacy block chain for businesses. That is where the real market is.

It is better for Monero to stay what it stands for - literally "Money", not "sonic screw driver" jack of all trades multitool for everything.

What I badly want it's that moneroaddress.org could develop into something like myetherwallet.com. I am not sure it's possible, just an idea.
I don't see what the difference is? myetherwallet.com provides a QR code for the wallet address and private key... ?
Well, it's possible to enter seed and check balance, even send ether from opened wallet, see 'Send transaction' tab.
EDIT: I suspect that in case of Monero it is more complicated as we can't just look at the block explorer to check balance, so trusted node load for such a thing can be big.

mobile wallet in the works too?

There is one mobile wallet for android, works with www.monerowallet.com. Though not as sexy as for example Jaxx.

Guy is right.... in sense that Monero needs more PR, exposure, fancy site, nice pictures and videos, articles, interviews etc. Judging from myself, because LTC, Dash were first coins I tried after BTC. I am not just talking, I am trying to submit my humble contribution. We can crowd-PR Monero to the moon Smiley

Maybe Claymore's miner doesn't work with intel graphics.

aiwe, great job on the graphics! Do you have links to where we can download high-quality versions of each (300-dpi jpg, or .psd)?

I will attach vector images on Trello

I like the coin and community and this diagram shows its advantages I learned about. It's just that simple to throw something in to help it grow.

I can help with some graphic design in my spare time so feel free to contact me.

You are right.

Maybe I spam with this chart too much. If so we can move to trello for example.

^ this was my perception

The printed words do not work. Visually it is too cluttered, and in terms of meaning, it raises more questions than answers. Keep the icons only. Let people be intrigued by the design and ask questions. That is a good thing. It also removes the English bias.

I left decentralized, private, digital

Ah, I'm stupid - I have no rank to wear an avatar yet.

Resized to small size it's quite readable.

Now I know the author of the idea. As I stated on Trello I found the draft of this and decided to make infographic of it. I saved picture from somewhere and did not remember author.

Here you are, the version for avatar

BTW, how do I make an avatar on this forum? Smiley

Watch-only wallet shows incorrect balance - it shows sum of all incoming transactions, if there were payments from the wallet balance will be wrong.

Because on Shapeshift XMR is inactive I managed to exchange BTC to XMR at https://www.changer.com/
It took longer time comparing to Shapeshift but it worked for me.
