2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 27, 2023, 01:51:13 AM
The last title shot of Nonito Donaire in his career. He needs to win this as another achievement on his legacy.

Nonito Donaire is the oldest bantamweight boxer who managed to get the WBC Bantamweight Title when he KO Nordine Oubaali. He was 38 years old at that time. Fast forward and currently, at 40 years old, we can fairly say that he still got a chance to take another shot at the title and he should have fairly handled Jason Moloney.

Donaire already experienced fighting a monster, not once but twice, and was able to give that monster the toughest fight of its career. Moloney is not even close to the level of that monster. I will favor Donaire here to win the match.

The fight hasn't happened yet. Fighting still in his 40s against Moloney who also has a high KO rate is going to be risky for him. They both share a loss against Inoue though.

If Donaire wins, you can only conclude he would have beaten Inoue if they fight in Donaire's prime. If the odds favor Moloney, it definitely is a sign for Donaaire to retire. Due to the love of the sport fighters don't retire and I hate to say this but it sometimes needs a knockout to realize.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 01:20:17 AM
It's for profit just as the reason you want to buy. During the bull market, it's not just BTC that is going up. The altcoins are also rising and if you believe some altcoins will have adoption like ETH or BNB then it's your option to buy.

Just like gambling, however, high risk and high rewards. You invest so you gamble your way because there are also altcoins that don't move an inch. Picking the top ones is what they advice.
2203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has someone tried to use ChatGPT to help in trading? on: January 26, 2023, 09:49:32 AM
--snip--
I was thinking the same, this is only version 1 imagine what will be in couple of iterations. Pretty scary I must say... I think it will be like Elon sad, you will need your own AI to defend against other AI. I mean this on big companies. Dunno did you saw constraction worker robot from Boston Dynamic, it looks scary good.

Yup, I saw all that even back in 2010, I already saw a dog-like robot from Boston Dynamic that could balance itself and walk around. This itself is already useful. But the newer ones that could hold weapons are the dangerous ones.  If the chaptGPT AI is installed on them, they could really be useful in some industries. Something the businesses can benefit but if it's on military use, it can really be a wipeout weapon that a bunch of them could kill anyone alive. I may be going far ahead but we've seen how smart the robot is, it could reload a magazine and shoot if programmed.
2204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 26, 2023, 09:24:40 AM

It can only be bad if they sell. They however have to hold thier horses because if the whales sell, the other whales might just buy them all up. We have gone this low already and more whales would grab more of BTC.  This is the time in BTC when investors had to look at it for the long term.

I think the market will push the price way up and the correction isn't so bad that it will continue to rise til the end of the year.
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: PVP Games Lounge launching soon on: January 26, 2023, 08:23:41 AM
I`m happy to hear that the OP is developing smth. One problem - i don`t know what he is developing, i don`t know who is the OP, i can`t see even demo. The only question i have is for what purposes was created this thread? The best way is to wait few days until release and to show smth that we can test.

Looking at OP's posts history, I can say that he want to start his own project since a year ago when he looked for a developer. He came back to this forum after many months then said that he (with team) is developing table games. It seems that he is just too excited about his own project and want others to know about it earlier before official launch. However, OP is not active for a week now and perhaps he may not come back soon as what he did last year.

It could just be a made-up project?
Or if it's even true, he is just waiting for the bull market so many users will try to buy the token, and him dumping it on the investors.  Like many other projects during the bull market.

Table games are interesting though. Is this the kind of board game such as chess? Snake and Ladder?  Grin

2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Brady's Gambling and HUGE loss. on: January 26, 2023, 07:55:56 AM
So they really put all thier money into FTX, unlike Oleary who only invest the money that was paid to him by FTX for shilling the company. It would be sad if Brady and his wife put all thier money into one basket. It's like no one had advised them about investment.
It's a big lesson to learn but because Brady is still a baller. He could make money more than what is lost.

Many people who have their funds with FTX or even have investment in the token not have a single thought how bad things would go like the whole FTX collapse and exposing what they were actually doing behind the scenes. So it was his bad luck that he lost the money but many others have also lost significant wealth with this crash and scam of SBF.

I only see a few people actually claimed they lost millions on FTX. They may be embarrassed but the streamers who promoted FTX are still doing vlog but are now shouting scams to FTX.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 01:54:39 AM
They are numerous stories of people who won the jackpot and ended up spending the whole money back on the casino within a short period, 1 or 2 years, they lost the jackpot.

Isn't it?

Inspired by Jean Scott - Frugal Gambler
That is why gamblers should be smart when using the jackpot prize won from slot-machines. If they continue gambling, of course they are going to lose the entire prize along the months or years, without hiting another jackpot of the same size, because it's really unlikely.

If those lucky winners simply use their money wisely, making it grow through investments, they can make extra income from that and use the generated income to continue their gambling hobby. This way they aren't going to lose on long run, because thanks to gambling they achieved a lifetime extra income which allows them to maintain their gambling activity in a frequent basis.

Sometimes it doesn't take 1 to 2 years before losing the jackpot. For some people who win big in casinos like poker or blackjack, the server will give you free drinks for your mood.  And then they continue playing for the rest of the day.

Of the million people spent hundreds over a one arm bandit a day, never have I heard a story where a man wins a jackpot and then leaves with the full amount. The program itself cheats not just the casino.
2208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has someone tried to use ChatGPT to help in trading? on: January 25, 2023, 04:42:36 PM
but for now ChatGPT cannot be used, maybe because it is full or too many users are logged in.
I'm also curious about his intelligence. In fact, not only helps in trading, in any way ChatGPT can be used and put to good use. Seeing the many reviews on YouTube is truly extraordinary and beyond expectations.
Maybe this is the most sophisticated and smartest AI robot at the moment, it can replace a programmer.

They were updating I think and maybe the next version will make it smarter that it can already predict the future outcomes of the market. When it was available months ago, it becomes very useful for the students to actually come up with unique articles to publish.

Many publishers had actually taken advantage of it. I think the ChaatGPT next version would be paid version. Those who can pay the subscription will have the edge over the others and if it can be helpful in trading, I guess subscribing will not be bad.
I have tried it in meantime and what I can say it mostly gives generic answers but when asked correctly can write some pine script code which is already known. It is good for giving directions. The one I'm exited is the upcoming versions of it... I made this topic to maybe see if someone with something that it can made it more useful then giving mostly generic answers.

It may be giving generic answers for now but it already can solve code problems. Imagine what it could do if it's updated. Although it's not designed as trading AI, it can understand what is to do next when markets do some things like buying or selling.

Some people in the Academia are not in favor of releasing OpenAI like this chatGPT. It doesn't have real cognition but once it's programmed to do something upon processing a piece of information, it can be helpful for the future or dangerous to us. Heck, we are already in a mess but adding a robot can make it worse. I think we are not really ready for AIs. Military robots are dangerous enough.
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started instilling a bitcoin saving system on: January 25, 2023, 04:01:30 PM
Wrong OP, because the huge amount of money you deposited in the bank will not bring good result to you at the end and, bankers will still like to stress you, when you want to withdraw the money from the bank. Since the price of BTC is very low now in the market, you would have invested big money in BTC and live the small money in your bank so that whenever you have something to buy you can easily go to the bank. Never too late to correct the mistakes because, the price of BTC just drop down to $22k which will help you to achieve something special in the future.

but in my opinion, for saving it is better to buy bitcoin with a small amount of money, because the price of bitcoin will be difficult to predict, in my opinion, but even though investing in bitcoin is a good opportunity, for the future, we must also think about saving based on original savings, because savings in the bank are more important after all. try to imagine if the price of bitcoin goes down? and for example I invest most of my savings fund money to buy bitcoins,
what do you think will happen?

in my opinion, it is better that most of the savings should be in the bank rather than most of it used to buy bitcoin..
so in my opinion bitcoin is better just a small part of my savings fund..

It's best to just get your cash out of the bank and keep them with you.  Have you read the news about banks not letting you withdraw your own money?

Cash is king and you will be able to make transactions at any time. But its also good to have a few percentages of your money into BTC. You can not go wrong with BTC, it's known to be accepted and people know it already and its value go up high in time.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 25, 2023, 03:44:41 PM
Seems nobody from both camps did reveal and share some information regarding their contract if there's indeed a clause written on it, but anyway, I'm sure both camps will always cater the fan's needs especially if the outcome of the fight is somewhat controversial and a rematch is the only way to settle their rivalry. Just love to see these two dancing in the ring and showing their prowess rather than being defensive most of the time because they are both knockout artist.

I'm 100 percent sure that a rematch clause will be stipulated in the contract to avoid the mistake that was made by Team Loma when they fought Teofimo Lopez.

I don't know if there are negotiations going on after Golden Boy Promotions received the contract that was said to be from the camp of Tank Davis because if they are dead serious about making this fight, they should have continued to make a buzz on social media because that would help them also on the promotional side but they are mum even Ryan Garcia who is so vocal on his social media account hasn't said anything after receiving the contract.

Despite them confirming the dates and the venue of the fight, there are still doubts. Couldn't see it clearer as well, anything can happen and Tank may be arrested once again. I guess this fight may be in the hands of the arresting officers.

Quote
3. fight has a high chance of living up to the hype

3rd the reason why the first should happen. They are both hyped though and they could disprove this thru this match. If Ryan wins, he'll be the most popular and maybe become the highest-paid. If he loses, it only proves the hype of him.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 25, 2023, 03:19:09 PM
that's true if we can classify it in general, but have you ever tried to trust that much money to a cousin or maybe someone closest to you?  i think there's nothing wrong with remaining skeptical of everyone so that the relationship remains strong, people will definitely change according to conditions, especially when it comes to big money.

We just don't know what other people have in mind when conditions favor them.  It pays to be aware of what could happen when you entrust a large sum since it could turn a volt.

While I wanted to be anonymous also, can't the lottery have that option for thier winners?
They can publish the name but not a photo at least because that would put the winner a target for robbers.

2213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 24, 2023, 07:12:24 PM
The new waves of crypto users are probably SHIB investors or probably they come to know crypto market right when SHIB was introduced to them back in the last bull run.

Besides BTC, SHIB is actually one of the most searched cryptocurrencies on google which is why it's not surprising anymore that this token can achieve further especially because there is progress in thier development of SHIBarium metaverse. Price may hit another ATH by the next bull market.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 24, 2023, 06:52:21 PM
I am from the United States and I sure as hell don't think my government is any good, but I just don't understand much of the Eastern part of the world and their laws.  The one thing that pisses me off is Japan trying to be all "moral" when it comes to gambling yet they allow for horse racing which is an extremely cruel "sport" that needs to be rid of, and is already well on it's way here in the United States as people are waking up to it's cruelties.

The farther countries are from each other (in this case, I'm not talking about the economic level, where everything is still more obvious), the higher the cultural differences. It is obvious that Japan and the United States have very little in common in culture if we take the history and not the current global state of affairs. I'm sure a lot of things in the US are just as shocking to the Japanese as some things are to you. By the way, the inhabitants of the United States, too, did not immediately realize that horse racing is a cruel sport? For a long time, this was considered completely normal and did not raise any questions.

In the east, there's cockfighting but is part of thier culture already which I think same with horse races or dog fights.

Despite the difference, everyone has a kind of moral flexibility though. Hypocrisy on each side.
Even those government/state lotteries and those casinos are pretending to allocate revenue to school programs but are making sure the student curriculum does not include probability and statistics otherwise educated people will not gamble.
2215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin gaining this much fame despite it's restrictions? on: January 24, 2023, 03:43:08 PM

People spread the word quickly when they want others also to make money with what is in the trend. BTC is not just the trend recently, it had been trending over and over, the mainstream media, however, wasn't very open in talking about it for the people to be interested but they keep claiming it's a scam.

Last week it was on the news because Bitcoin price is spiking high. Everybody becomes a mentor once again spreading the word to invest in BTC and the people who see it as an opportunity I guess FOMO is on the air.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 24, 2023, 03:30:57 PM
Doesn't make any difference anymore when one is already addicted whether it's a physical casino or online casino, he will find a way to gamble. He may just ask friends to come over and play cards with him.

It is just the craving that urges the addict to do it. If I wanted to I can actually go to a nearby gambling community right behind the house of billard in the corner. I once saw 4 men playing cards in the corner, I'm pretty sure there are more of them.
2217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: January 24, 2023, 03:05:53 PM
Are you saying that trade is the way to wealth?

The OP is clueless. He talks about trading as wealth but it seems that trading in any case and for a very small minority is income, not wealth. Wealth is what you keep from your income but that is a later step that has nothing to do with trading. This does not take into account that most people lose money with trading.

If he were talking about B&H as wealth, yes he would be correct, because if you take a long-term portfolio of stocks what you are doing is increasing your wealth. The same as if you accumulate Bitcoin.
If so, it means that there is a relationship between trade and wealth because wealth is something we already have, and trade can be a way to increase wealth. Trading can be a source of income for some people with trading skills, and they can benefit from trading it.

And you are right that by collecting bitcoins, we will have a way to increase our wealth. And with so many choices of coins in the crypto market, it seems like he wants to show that we have a rich opportunity in the crypto market.

A trading skill I guess is wealth. So yea you definitely have a value if you can make money out of money, it's how the wealthy people do it. Making money out of money.

Not everyone can last in crypto. A holder can panic and sell in a bear market and start gambling like a maniac and lose it all but a person who can trade and accumulate more BTC with a little BTC capital can definitely survive in the crypto industry.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Online Casinos with Easy Verification on: January 24, 2023, 02:03:29 AM

What is the reason why the casino is prompting users to gitbook app when looking into the Privacy Policy? It forces users to link thier accounts to google and gitbook accounts. I think this is what your Deck infographic means when they connect blocks of the jigsaw puzzles. It's quite tricky to do this since the casino is collecting more data than just the KYC documents.

2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 24, 2023, 01:38:38 AM
or do you think this will have a harmful effect on their finances?
Definitely. A decrease in customers is also a possibility if they implement KYC upon deposit.

Score 1. This is a win for players who wish to not submit data but this could be an attack on the gambling industry.

People had been complaining about this for a long time forcing them to pass whenever they want to withdraw the outstanding balances. Soon there will be more laundering that will happen and then the regulators are going to scrutinize suspected casinos and seize funds.
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto banks replace traditional banks on: January 23, 2023, 05:05:11 PM
It defeats the purpose of decentralization when you store your crypto assets in a bank.  We are reminded all the time of the "not your keys, not your coins"  so if you still keep your coins in a bank, that's a classic example of you not learning.

Bitcoin was supposed to be stored safely where you own it. Be your own bank.
