This is great, bit user base there ready to be tapped. Price is very low at the moment might be a good entry point.
Price will get interesting once attention economy comes into place, which revolutionizes advertisements and Gemz will have a real world purpose. At 100k users you will have a whole Crypto based economy in the app. I'm really looking forward to this attention based economy, don't know when it will be released but paying the user to advertise instead of the company is very attractive and the money appears very easily in the wallet so no banking credentials are needed. If the devs just implement an easy way to buy Gemz in app something along the line as the way julia operates would be nice. From 100k users you would expect the user base to grow exponentially, but to get to 100k is the hardest, even 50k would do it since the app works rewarding you have a huge amount of users operating as promoters. |

Well Poloniex is CRAZY slow with coin transfers these days so I have a feeling it's an issue with them and not with Gemz.
I actually wish I had some spare cash lying around now. I could pick up gemz for a fraction of what I bought it at a week ago. Another life lesson.......save. I wouldn't worry about it, we're at the pre-pump and dump price now (I had a feeling that might have been going on). If you believe in the app, basically nothing has changed. We might even have gained a little out of it. Yeah, I was just freaking out a bit because I was thinking, oh shit, what if the dev's just up and left. But that makes no sense because the vc investors would never allow that.......I think. As far as pump and dumping goes, I am relatively new to the crypto scene, been around for a year or two. I see it happening alot. I guess it could be compared to a stock ipo. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement. When is gems rolling out the feature where commercial advertisers can contact users? I am currently between jobs, so with nothing else to do, clicking on their ads actually sounds like fun. Dev has been posting in the GetGems group chat aswell, right now he is busy to get the app on google play, we have a group chat (47 members atm) where the dev also posts frequently. It's easy for quick responses, we make it rain, tip and discuss everything. Very fun. also we have Android beta testers group and iOS beta testers group and also Gemz trading group, all in the app. Send me a message in the app to join. All Gems needs is a few well placed media articles to intice people to try the app. Which won't be that hard cause Getgems is a news worthy story, ie social messengering that pays its users, it's a unique idea that would be of interest to any casual user of social apps. Once everything is running like a charm I'm sure the marketing department has some great plans to get the word out. It's a personal belief but I actually think effort to convince the Bitcoin community about Getgems is slightly wasted energy, they are very dogmatic about Bitcoin and often are anti alts plus the alt community is too small. Outside the gulag of cryto is where this app needs to get. In fact talking about Bitcoin and coins etc prob will turn the people off. Just keep,to the simple story of giving social back to the people etc.
I know nothing but I wonder if the removal from Google is from disgruntled guy who has a problem with the code not being completely open source. I don't understand the subject of open source but a couple guys on reddit seemed upset about it. I was thinking the same thing about the open source thing. Yep there were couple guys whining about that, i mean it's ok to raise a concern but one or 2 of them really were pushing it like they had an agenda. I guess they could be supporters of another coin or devs wanting to intergrate GG features in their own app but couldn't. |
