1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazing Support for Bitcoin Cash! on: July 30, 2017, 12:04:32 PM
So... more exchanges waiting to harvest the lucrative fee money from people dumping their BCC?

That's exactly what I am fearing about. Also, has anyone thought what is going to happen to those people, who have their Bitcoins stuck with BTC-e? How they are going to claim the BCC, when they don't have the private keys to their wallets?
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 12:02:28 PM
I'm pretty sure that there would be at least an attempt to make it rebound. There are parties with an interest to make BCC appear to be successful and that's a sentiment that could lead more speculators into supporting it briefly. If that's the case, even if it were for it to die at least it would not happen in an instant.

There are a lot of people who have announced their support to BCC. These people are going to dump a major part of their BTC holdings, to purchase BCC tokens. If they are going to dump some BTC100,000 in the market, then that may be enough to purchase all the free-float BCC. So my guess is that the BCC vs BTC exchange rates are unlikely to dip below a particular threshold.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e joint refund group on: July 30, 2017, 11:57:49 AM
i hate to say this and i hope im wrong but more than likely the remaining admin just moved all the coins to a wallet he controls so he can cash them out and move to some tropical beach somewhere in peace.

BTC-e had two owners. The first one was Alexander Vinnik, who is about to be deported to the United States, where he is going to spend the rest of his life behind bars. The second owner is another Russian guy called "Aleksey", who is in some country which is outside the US jurisdiction. He has taken control of all the coins and gone in to hiding. Now this may be a strategy to protect these coins from being confiscated by the authorities.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 11:55:30 AM
I don't agree with OP. It is a new coin, and even then many dozens of exchanges and wallets have decided to support it. Adoption doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. And here we have a coin, which has gained the support from so many major players, even before it came in to existence.
1365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: July 30, 2017, 11:53:58 AM
If you have done nothing wrong or against the law you should have nothing to worry about.

That is debatable. According to various reports, hundreds of innocent bystanders were killed during the vigilante squad raids. And many of these bystanders had absolutely nothing to do with drugs.
1366  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the countries with the least Jewish influence? on: July 30, 2017, 11:52:43 AM
Iran is still having a Jewish population of around 20,000. And that makes it one of the last Muslim nations with a remaining Jewish minority. And if I am not wrong, Yemen is still having around 200 Jews. Morocco is also having around 2,000 and Tunisia is having a few hundred Jews.
1367  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-27]Mt.Gox Hack + BTC-e: The Biggest Money Laundering Scheme in Bitcoin on: July 30, 2017, 06:31:16 AM
As I heard Russia is going to protect it's citizen and say that everything is the USA's fiction. Let's see what is going to be in the end after this battle (Russia vs USA). I hope the situation will have positive end for all exchanger users. I can imagine how do they panic now.

The Russian Federation already banned btc-e.com -- this is why many Russians access the site through a mirror at btc-e.nz. The Russian government also just banned access by their population to some forty other bitcoin/crypto exchange sites. So even though BTC-E's target audience was Russians and Russian speakers, I don't think Russia will do anything.

But as long as Vinnik remains as a Russian citizen (I am not quite sure about that, as somewhere I read that he was holding a Cypriot passport), Russia needs to provide him with legal and diplomatic support. Anyway, they are not going to be happy with the Americans arresting him.
1368  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-29]Bitcoin is Trading at Extreme Premium in Stock Market on: July 30, 2017, 06:29:11 AM
The trade volumes would be interesting. And I don't understand one thing. If the GBTC is trading at such a premium, then what prevents the managers from buying more BTC from the exchanges and converting it to GBTC shares?
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 30, 2017, 06:26:40 AM
Bitcoin could have been your way to be rich in a short time period.
It's not really instant, but if you had bought $10 in bitcoins in 2009 and sell it now you would been a millionaire.
At this moment it's impossible to get instant rich by Bitcoin.
Only possible with an expensive investment and a lot of luck.

If you can catch a waves between $1700 and $2800, of course it's the way to get rich fast. This is not so common. It usually requires more time to create a wealth with bitcoin.

What if you are trapped in the $3,000 to $1,700 wave? In that case, you will be losing almost half of your investment. I have only one advice for you. Please be patient, and in the end BTC will make you rich.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 30, 2017, 06:24:05 AM
They would not seize, they would friendly ask and chin. gov would size for them instantly. Not excatly a free country over there.

What if the OKCoin and Huobi guys are having powerful connections with the Chinese government? Anyway, why the Chinese authorities would allow such a seizure, when the Bitcoin exchanges such as Bitstamp and Kraken, which are based in the western nations are allowed to operate without any issues?
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs BCC on: July 30, 2017, 06:21:28 AM
If you are a margin trader, then I would recommend BCC. Because a lot of powerful people are supporting the currency, and at least in the initial few (5-10) days there will be a big pump. Some of the people behind Bitcoin Cash has taken the survival of that coin as a matter of their prestige. So they will go to any extent, to pump the currency.
1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Handling splits: UASFs, BIP148, etc. on: July 30, 2017, 06:16:13 AM
can i keep my Bitcoin in Blockchain wallet?

I am getting this question as well.
Looked on the website and there is no mention of August 1 plans.

That means that they are not supporting Bitcoin cash. So there are two scenarios.

1. Blockchain.info refrains from claiming BCC. In this case, you can claim the BCC using the private keys of your wallet. Just export the private key in text format and import it to any of the BCC compatible wallets.

2. Blockchain.info claims BCC but refuses to credit it to the users. I don't think that the chances are very high. As far as I know, they don't possess the private key for these wallets. So there is nothing to worry.
1373  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Will I automatically receive bitcoin cash on blockchain.info? on: July 30, 2017, 06:12:44 AM
You don't need to exchange anything, there is a snapshot taken on the day of the fork. There is really no work to be done. It's just like the stellar and byteball airdrops, all you need to do is to import a private key with coins in it on the snapshot time.

Stellar and Byteball airdrops were different. They just neeed a signed message from your Bitcoin wallet. But BCC is going to be different. It requires the private key of your Bitcoin wallet to be imported in to a BCC-compatible wallet.

So here is the best way to claim BCC: Move your coins from your primary Blockchain.info wallet to another wallet a few days after August 1. Once this is done, import your private key from your primary wallet to any of the BCC-compatible wallets. In this way, you will get the BCC and there will be no risk for your Bitcoins if something turns out bad.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 29, 2017, 07:57:25 PM
not like that, its not instant because we need to learn about bitcoin. you can fast learning if there someone lead you, if you learn by your self it may take the time
That’s true. All depends on your knowledge about bitcoins. If you have sound knowledge about the crypto market and are really beware of scams and frauds in this market, you can make a huge profit within short time. But if you are new to this field and unfortunately no one knows about bitcoins in your circle, you might get to go through tough experiences before becoming rich with bitcoins.

It is all about luck. I have been here for more than 4 years, and I know about BTC quite a bit. Even then, my profits from Bitcoin trading were moderate, at the best. At the same time, I have seen noobs profiting as much as 100% in a single day from margin trading.
1375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any Predictions for Bitcoin 1 August on: July 29, 2017, 07:53:20 PM
My guess is that there will be massive FUD and chaos around, with the exchange rates briefly dropping below the $2,000 per coin mark. But the prices will recover quickly, may be within the next 2-3 days.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FREE money in the form of BCC? on: July 29, 2017, 07:52:08 PM
It is not free money. The current market cap of Bitcoin can be considered as the combined cap of BTC+BCC. After August 1, BCC is going to split off from the BTC, and therefore the BTC exchange rates may dip.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where will you keep your bitcoins on D Day? on: July 29, 2017, 07:49:11 PM
Two days back, I moved my coins from Blockchain.info wallet to Electrum wallet. For briefly, I thought about keeping them in the OKPAY exchange wallet, but then decided against it. The risks are too high.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 29, 2017, 07:47:59 PM
At first I was upset and thinking that the Americans have overstepped their jurisdiction. But now it seems that they were right in arresting Alexander Vinnik. WizSec has published enough evidence to link Vinnik with the Mt Gox robbery.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 26, 2017, 06:55:00 PM
This is ridiculous. The Americans have detained a Russian citizen in Greece, for running a Bitcoin operation from Bulgaria. Now they want him deported to the United States. WTF? Why the Americans can't mind their own business.
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: July 26, 2017, 06:49:44 PM
I think that firstly the genital organs of rapists has been cut off.Second option is the change his sex then only he knew the respect of girls.

I support the second option. After the sex change surgery, the rapist must be shipped off to some African nation, to serve in the brothels there. Any revenue arising out of this exercise must be distributed among the victims.
