2222  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-10-17]NEWSBTC : Cyber Insurance — A Much Needed Thing for Bitcoin Sector on: October 18, 2015, 01:43:35 AM

The number of hacking attacks on various companies, irrespective of their business have been on a rise across the world. The increasing frequency and the extent of such attacks have driven the costs of obtaining a cyber insurance cover upwards. The premium for such insurance policies vary from business to business, based on the factor of risk associated with them.

Among all the businesses, banking, finance and especially cryptocurrency based businesses are the worst affected due to drastic increase in rates and deductibles. Over that, insurers in some cases are also setting a cap to coverage amount.

What is Cyber Insurance?
Cyber insurance is a product of changing times, these categories are relatively new in the insurance industry. Cyber insurance products offers protection to individuals and businesses from any risk/s and losses arising from the internet or computer and informational technology products.

Yes! Bitcoin is the best currency for me.
I hope the government will approve the bitcoin as our legal currency.
So we can use this everywhere without any hesitation.

i doubt the goverment will approve bitcoin as legal currency

2228  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-10-16] THE FUTURE OF BITCOIN ISN'T BITCOIN—IT'S BIGGER THAN THAT on: October 17, 2015, 01:29:58 AM
Earlier this year, Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne bought a $500,000 bond issued by the online retailer.

But it wasn’t the size of the bond that drew attention. It was the way it was sold: through Overstock’s new digital trading platform T0, which records securities trades through the same shared ledger technology that backs cryptographic currencies like bitcoin.

Advocates of the digital ledger technology, known as the blockchain, say its use in traditional financial transactions could prove far more revolutionary than the alternative currencies for which it was first created.

Storing transactions in one automatically shared, tamper-proof database could eliminate the need for complicated procedures and clearinghouses now used to make sure banks have their records in sync, saving time and money and reducing the risk of error.

And that has startups and established companies lining up to design the trading platforms, programming tools, and other infrastructure that’ll soon be needed if blockchain-based finance goes mainstream.

"The main event isn’t bitcoin," says Byrne. "It’s using the blockchain to disrupt other industries and Wall Street."

2235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recomended client for Android on: October 16, 2015, 08:43:56 AM
It's true that Mycelium relies on centralized servers for blockchain access, and the availability of these servers is a single point of failure (there are no third-party compatible servers, as the server code is not open source.)
However, this does not mean that they can take control of your wallet or that you can't access your funds when their servers are unavailable. The wallet uses standard hierarchical deterministic key management, so by copying the seed to another wallet supporting the same mechanism, you would gain access to your funds again.

how about this ?
i create new bitcoin address from blockchain, then i back up my private key
and restore my private key to mycellium wallet ?
