Hi thanks.  But doesn't downloading the waves keeper make it a bit unsafe though since its with chrome and thus its like another wallet with it so to speak?

The sending waves seem much less risky.

Like if have you have some browser issue, that waves keeper is still fine?
2223  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger S Receive Bitcoin Address Question? on: April 23, 2019, 01:07:42 AM
Hi thanks for that information.

One other thing to make sure.

When i opened ledger live, i typed in my password.  Then i clicked on receive.  I then connected my nano ledger to my computer and typed in my pin.  Then i click on bitcoin icon on the ledger.  It then showed me a btc receive address.  I took a look at it on my screen and compared it to it on my nano ledger s.  I usually do this twice since the letters go by pretty quickly.  So i see its correct.  Then i copy the btc address from the live ledger to a site that i want my btc sent to.  So i then look at the btc address i copied into that site page and compare it to the nano ledger s to confirm.  I remember I one time clicking the right click confirm on the ledger nano so during this process.  I then confirmed the btc address and clicked withdraw on the site that im using to withdraw btc.  I then looked at my ledger live and there was a message that says if you copied and pasted the address or used a qr scan, please reverify it.  Its like step 4 in the process.  i did not click reverify... as i already requested a btc withdraw before this.

I assume im fine right?  So when the ledger live shows you your btc receive address, if you just look at it and compare it to the nano ledger and its good, can you just copy and paste the btc address to the site you want to withdraw the btc?  Or if you have to at least right click on the nano ledger s one time... this is correct... hence the btc address.  I assume the last step which i did not do... that is not necessary right?  Because i saw that message after i already copy/paste the btc address on the other page.

Im assuming you don't even need to right click confirm address on your nano ledger s?  Because the btc receive address would be the same?  I requested a btc withdraw yesterday and saw the address.  I havent received the btc yet but that site takes a while to send.  Right now i was going to request btc from another site... but before i did this, i just want to confirm... i dont need to click reverify in step 4 in the nano ledger s right?  Since that btc address is mine?  Im pretty certain that was the same btc receive address it gave me yesterday.

Can someone here confirm this for me?

Hey all.  I recently just installed the new waves client.  I previously used the old waves lite client.

Now i want to qualify for that vostok token airdrop.  I see there are 2 options for it.  Download waveskeeper or send a tiny bit of waves to that waves address.

This is where you download the waveskeeper right?

https://wavesplatform.com/products-keeper

Then once you have this go to this page.  Then copy and paste your waves address.  Then click on Auth with waves keeper?

https://vostok.wavesplatform.com/

Is it more safe to just send that tiny bit of waves instead as oppose to this or not?  There is no risk to this right when downloading the waveskeeper since its from the waves site?

Is it worth to invest in it now?  Price is very high now.
2226  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Nano Ledger S vs Electrum Receive Address Number? on: April 22, 2019, 05:20:54 PM
Hi thanks for confirming that.  I just thought about the segwit address and yes that is what i did to set it up.

That site usually takes at least 12 hours to send it at the minimum.  Most of the time its less than a day.  I just wanted to make sure of this because if they haven't processed the transaction yet... i would then ask them to cancel the transaction.  But when i tried the receive address on ledger s again and the address was the same receive address... i thought okay that has to be the address then.

Thanks.

For that first airdrop that you guys got for either sending a tiny bit of waves to that address or something else, can someone tell me what coins they got out of the airdrop and how much?

Example like you had 100 or 500 or 1000 waves.  How much of that airdrop did you receive?

2228  Bitcoin / Electrum / Nano Ledger S vs Electrum Receive Address Number? on: April 22, 2019, 05:09:36 PM
I went and made a request for btc from a site to my nano ledger s.  When i clicked on receive with my nano ledger s, it gave me a wallet address and it started with a number 3.  I then clicked okay and pasted that btc address to that site to make the request.  I use ledger live to use my ledger s.

I just checked my nano ledger s again to click receive to see what address it generates and it appears to be the same one that starts with the number 3.  At the moment, i have not received my btc yet from when i requested it earlier.

Can someone here confirm it should start with a number 3 as the btc receive address for the nano ledger s?  When i used electrum, i recalled the receive btc address always started with with a number 1.

Also that means as for NY account holders, we cannot do any trading if we try to click trade etc right?
2233  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: April 21, 2019, 01:57:31 AM
Hey all question to NY account holders.

I have some btc there and some other coins.  I never made a withdraw from bittrex.  I am verified though a while back.

I'm a bit confused with withdrawing.

It says for certain coins, it supports up to 6 decimals for withdraw.  Funds after the supported number of decimal places will be lost.

Example if you have say

234.29494243 powerledger

Do you put down for withdraw

234.294942 ?

or the entire amount and then the 0.00000043 powerledger will be lost?

So basically whatever you have after the 6 decimal... which would be 0.00000043 powerledger will be lost right?

Can someone tell me how long it normally takes for a withdraw from bittrex whether its powerledger or bittrex?

So whether you log into your old waves lite client with the old password or the desktop waves client with the new password, it will show exactly the number of waves and other coins you have correct?

2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 13, 2019, 08:00:54 PM
Im confused with this.  If he posted his waves desktop client password on public chat, the only way for someone to access it would be for them to know his waves address correct?  Thus they need his waves address and his password?  So if you someone download waves wallet on their own computer, they could type in his waves address and password and access his waves wallet?

Also you said if you download the waves desktop client and input your seed and then enter a new password, didn't you say if you tried to log into your waves lite client account, then that waves lite client account still uses the old password?  But the desktop client you downloaded and put in a new password you log in with the new password?  Or whether you log in with lite client or desktop client, its the new password no matter what?

Hello, what is the exact question you're asking? Does it related to the issue of importing Waves account to a new Client? Feel fee to join our Telegram
channel for any further questions https://t.me/Wavescommunity

Best wishes,
Waves Community manager.

My question is i been using the waves lite client on my laptop for a while.  I want to use the desktop one as everyone says the lite client is very old  When i created the desktop client, it ask for me to enter a new password.  So said this password could be the same as the old waves lite client or a brand new one.

Now let say i use the same password as the old waves lite client.  If i do this, if i log into my waves account either with the old waves lite client or the desktop client, i do this with the same password correct?  I know this should be 100 percent yes.

But let say you used a brand new password for the desktop waves client compared to the old waves lite client.  When you log into the desktop client, you obviously enter the new password.  But let say you want to use the waves lite client instead which is still on your computer, do you use your old waves client password or the new waves client password that you created for the desktop client?

Okay why do you say 12 word phrase?  Is your phrase 12 words?  Mine is 15 words.  Why do some ppl have 12 vs 15 words as their seed for waves?

But if i make a new password for it, if i try to log into my waves lite client as oppose to the desktop client... will i use the new password or old password for the waves lite client?

I have the waves lite client and the desktop waves client on the same computer.

waves.support so do you recommend the old password or new password for the desktop client?

So if next time i want to open the lite client, i have to use old password.  The desktop client... the new password?
2239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Desktop Wallet and Vostok Token Airdrop? on: April 12, 2019, 11:10:00 PM
My seed is 15 words.  After i type it in, when it ask for a password, do i use a new one or use the old waves lite client?

If i use a new one, that means i log into my desktop waves client with the new password but what about the old lite client?  Would that be new password as well?
2240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: April 12, 2019, 09:26:21 PM
Is it preferred to use the old password as i have waves lite client or create a new one?

And if i choose a new one, is that new password going to be used to log into lite waves client as well if i choose?
