2221  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why would someone think of suicide? on: January 20, 2023, 03:42:03 PM
now there are many suicides, especially because the economy that is still unstable makes them even more stressed.

but actually, apart from stress, what makes someone think about ending their own life? What do you think

Losing faith in life and having no motivation to hold them back, or perhaps because they are too much to endure the oppression, they will choose death to free themselves. What is alarming now is that the suicide rate occurs mostly among young people, young people with impulsive thoughts.
Last year, a tragic case of suicide happened in my country for a student, just because his parents forced him to study too much, he chose to commit suicide by jumping from a building. As parents, everyone wants their children to study hard to become good people, but in his position, he thinks that he does not live for himself but lives for his parents, his youth and impulsive thinking have caused trauma to an entire family.

It's a win for Binance and isn't really a win for the crypto market, this is just a normal news and won't have a significant impact on the crypto market. I see you're excited, are you a Binance employee?

I wouldn't be surprised if Binance can become the first centralized exchange accepting every countries or almost countries in this world because Binance already get audited and regulated by SEC.

I don't think that Binance is regulated by the SEC, and one more thing is that the Binance audit was suddenly stopped in 2022, and everything seems to have gone into oblivion. It looks like Fuds is trying to bring down Binance, or there are hidden truths behind it. No one knows. I also followed that news for a while and forgot about it because of other events.
2223  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 19, 2023, 03:55:56 PM
One distinction I've noticed over time between wealthy and poor people is that the latter are consumerists. They prefer to accumulate possessions in order to appear wealthier than they actually are. They will save money to boost their self-confidence by purchasing pricey apparel and accessories. However, those that are rich prioritize having money rather than appearing wealthy. They make an investment to do this. Contrary to poor people, wealthy people save money to invest rather than squander. They become wealthier through investing.

What you say can be said is common in today's life. Poor people often have a habit of refining their appearance to show that they are not poor, while rich people appear to be more simple. However, not all poor people are like that, and we cannot equate all of them. There are still many poor people who work diligently, saving little by little to care for the future and there are also rich people who like to show off their wealth, and they often look down on those who are poorer.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 18, 2023, 05:26:46 AM
I have to say that Liverpool are really struggling at the moment. I can see, bringing in Cody Gakpo to the team has not made any noticeable difference to the performance on the pitch. Jurgen Klopp's loss against Brighton was something that was totally unexpected. Due to the fact that they have had a really rough run of form, I have a feeling that they are going to have a very hard time playing against Real Madrid. In spite of the fact that Real Madrid recently lost their final match against Barcelona, overall Real Madrid are in a far better state than Liverpool at this point in time.
Just the fact that Real and Liverpool lost, shows that these teams are not all right. And if for Real Madrid the last game with Barcelona was unsuccessful, and perhaps this is an isolated case, then for Liverpool this is a frequent occurrence, they alternate victories with defeats throughout the season and it is not clear what can be expected from them. Therefore, Real Madrid will be my favorite here, but most likely both teams will score goals in matches, because they have a good attack and not the best defense, especially Liverpool.

A lot of big teams are suffering right now which seems a little bit weird from a viewer's perspective. But I think that in a head to head match Real Madrid has the advantage over Liverpool. Because I think the Liverpool team at this moment lacks a bit of chemistry which is not the case for Real Madrid. Yes, they have slipped once against Barcelona but other than this match they have been in good form so far.

Football seasons in Spain and England are very long and tiring and it is completely normal that football teams cannot play every game at the highest level and win all the time.
However, I think that the situation of Liverpool and Real cannot be compared, because in Spain for a long time only 2 clubs are fighting for the top, Barcelona and Real, while in England the competition is much stronger and the league is better, with many more candidates for the championship title.
Liverpool has a slightly weaker season than usual, but they still have a good chance to win at least fourth place, which guarantees a place in the Champions League next season.
For them, the game against Real will be the highlight of the season, the most important game of the year and I'm sure they will play a good game against Real.
After all, they already beat Manchester City this season and showed that they are still a great team that can beat any team in the world. The match between Real and Barcelona a few days ago showed that Real has its own problems and that they are not invincible or favorites in the match against Liverpool.

Yes but overall if we look at both the teams in their respective leagues, we can for sure say that Real Madrid is in a far better position compared to Liverpool. Real Madrid have slipped only once in this game against Barcelona, but Liverpool have been playing inconsistently throughout the season which is a bit worrying for their match against Real Madrid.

Although I agree with you that they might be able to finish top four to secure the champions league position, however, for the time being right now, Real Madrid are a better team than Liverpool
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 16, 2023, 08:51:07 PM
Brighton looks like an experienced team in the match against liverpool. I wonder how many people will still believe in liverpool after so many bad results happened in EPL? real madrid is far greater compared with liverpool in any thing. Im thinking about the new player didn't evne give good contribution to the liverpool. Gakpo was actually over rated player in my opinion. Gakpo has the same quality like felix that has been going to the chelsea. Both have very bad debut in EPL.
Liverpool's defeat against Brighton is surely shocking with this now feelings and thoughts are changing because if they are not able to have good results against teams like Brighton then surely they can suffer against Real Madrid which is having much better performance and quality in Champions League, and they can give them big defeat as well for having their seat into last eight of the Champions League this season teams.
Now, if they are not going to bring changes then surely here we can expect worst end of this season with no place into top four and early exit from Champions League recently they have Gakpo which was good in world cup and expectations were high, but now it's all showing it's just overrated player even we can expect better in coming days, but they need to turn quickly before it's too late for them.

I have to say that Liverpool are really struggling at the moment. I can see, bringing in Cody Gakpo to the team has not made any noticeable difference to the performance on the pitch. Jurgen Klopp's loss against Brighton was something that was totally unexpected. 2226  Economy / Economics / Re: More Money Problems that Bitcoin Solves on: January 16, 2023, 06:22:24 AM
You want freedom, I want freedom, everybody wants freedom, but the government doesn't want us to be free. Their power comes from controlling us, so it's no wonder they don't accept bitcoin, which will disrupt everything they've built for thousands of years. If I were the government, I would also ban bitcoin because I don't want to lose power.

Inflation is a big issue for us, not a big issue for them. Increase interest rates, and control cash flow to reduce inflation, but people bear the consequences, the government is not affected. So there's no reason for them to stop inflation altogether, inflation is like crypto winter, sometimes need to use it to reset some things.
2227  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Simple to understood now cash is king again on: January 16, 2023, 05:03:48 AM
~~
Simply because fiat is more acknowledged by the society. Imagine buying a meal using gold. Unless they allow to do so, most of the time, it won't be accepted not because it has no value but because of the existing system of transaction. It would be hard to extract a $2 worth of gold for a single meal. That is likewise with cryptocurrencies in a sense that not all businesses do accept such technology as a mode of payment. Regarding the reputation of cash, it will always be there in any form; digital or physical. And if one day cryprocurrencies will be accepted by majority of countries, for sure cash would be still used on normal transactions simply because of governments, and I have no problem with that; not all people are into investments anyway.

Also, to use cryptocurrency or CBDC requires some basic knowledge of the technology or device used, but with cash, everything becomes extremely easy. It is not only easy for us but also for people with disabilities, such as people who are blind; How will they use crypto and CBDC if they can't use a smartphone? I don't have a problem with it either, but it's confusing how many people get annoyed with it when they still use it daily.

But as we can see cash's rule is weakening. There are people who don't use it anymore, as they use only virtual payment methods, so there is a clear tendency cash isn't going to remain king forever. Technology is evolving, as is the society adopting it in large steps.

Nothing stays on top forever, not even bitcoin, there is no guarantee in the future nothing will replace it. But getting rid of cash is a problem, cash has existed for hundreds of years, and if you want to remove it, it will be highly complicated.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 16, 2023, 04:19:08 AM
Leverkusen were also in good shape before this break, yes they can win 3 times in a row so they can be better in the standings. Their 7 defeats during this season were so bad, and also in the Champions League they had to be eliminated because they couldn't compete with Club Brugge, they were the ones who could move on to the next round in the Champions League. I think they are the same as Sevilla in La Liga. Their condition is so worrying, and their performance is very far from what they showed last season. I hope that after this break they can return to the positive track and continue to push up in the standings table.
I believe in Leverkusen to get away more from the relegation field week by week. Like you said they are already on a good winning streak now. Xabi Alonso has started to have a good chemistry with the team in a short time seemingly. This is a really good thing to see because Xabi Alonso doesn't have much of an experience as a manager. I was seeing Leverkusen as similar to Sevilla at the beginning of the season. But now Leverkusen have started to pull themselves together while Sevilla are still in a big mess.
Leverkusen are seven points away from the 6th position as well but there are so many teams between too. I don't know if they can manage to carry themselves to that area before the end of the season. It is a difficult task for sure.
At least in this case their change of coach is paying off and Xabi can slowly lift Leverkusen's performance in a better direction and of course that is a good thing.
With their current condition they are slowly moving away and are in 12th position. Even though the positions in the Champions League and Europa League zones are still quite far away, at least they are free from the relegation zone now.
Actually when Xabi was here I had my doubts with him a bit but as time has gone on he has continued to prove that he is capable and I like his progress now.

Leverkusen is playing quite well and seems to be an improved team right now. The interesting thing is I did not see any crucial changes in the squad. So, I think we can say that this happened because of the change in authority. Right now they are quite far away from the relegation zone. And I think the way they are playing, they should be able to improve further and should become a team in the top 10 positions in no time.

Actually, I had doubts about Xabi being the coach. But now I am not doubting them or him. But there is a long way to go. And I think if we say they are going to perform well throughout the rest of the season, we will be speaking too early.

Chelsea have made a 30m euro (£26.5m) bid for PSV Eindhoven's England Under-21 winger Noni Madueke, 20. A lot of money for a very young player.
Noni Madueke is actually showing good potential. So, I do not think that 30 million euros is actually too much money.
I think this is a good amount of money for a  player like him. Especially at a time when everyone is throwing 100 million transfers here and there.

Liverpool have ended contract talks with midfielder Naby Keita and will let the 27-year-old Guinea international leave on a free transfer in the summer. The player did not prove himself in Liverpool and leaves as a playing and financial failure.
Naby Keïta has not been very good for Liverpool. At least not recently.  So, I think this is not a very bad decision taken by them.
But what I understand is that he is still a very good player. So, a lot of clubs are going to be very interested to bring him to the team.

Tottenham will meet with Sporting Lisbon this week to discuss a deal for Spain right-back Pedro Porro, 23, who has agreed personal terms with the club. Porro is a very promising player and could be a great reinforcement for Tottenham.
Tottenham has conceded a lot of goals this season. And obviously, understandably they are trying to bring in defenders so that they can make the defense stronger.
Actually, a few minutes ago they were playing against Arsenal in Premier League and they conceded 2 goals in 59  minutes.
So, I think we all understand why they are trying to bring in defending players to the team.

Inflation depreciates cash but assets like gold and bitcoin don't depreciate, they are only volatile which increases when the demand is high and deceases with less demand. It is good you secure this assets for safety during inflation. We read of a thread in this forum that told us about a bank that used 50% of its fund to invest on  gold because that's the only way to safe the value of cash during inflation.

Cash is weak and vulnerable to attack which makes it not reliable,it can be duplicated counterfeit, it can be destroyed by fire, water, chemical e.t.c. Gold and bitcoin can not be faked, anything that is not gold, is not gold. Bitcoin works with the blockchain which makes it impossible for counterfeit. OP cash is only needed for daily transactions, store your cash at home,by next year,it must have depreciated of 5%.

There is nothing wrong with what you said, but I need to re-emphasize what you said "cash is only needed for daily transactions," and that is the most important point. Whether you invest in bitcoin or gold, after all, when you need to use them, you still have to exchange them for cash to use. You cannot use gold or bitcoin for your daily transactions. It must be said that cash has too many cons, but it has been around for thousands of years and is still the most used, so it is still king. We can't deny it, although it is far behind gold and bitcoin in terms of investment or store of value.
2231  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 15, 2023, 03:51:42 PM
Having said that, in countries where labor is abused and people work almost throughout the day, a physical side job or second job might be difficult to do, you would prolly not have the time to combine jobs, but if it is in countries where you work per hour and you're paid something worthwhile, then you can consider doing multiple jobs. In my country, most of our side hustles have to be done online because your main job drains everything out of you and literally takes up all of the day, thus if you must seek an alternative income, it has to be online.

It is only exhausting at first but you can get along with it later on. I do have a main job right now which is exhausting to the point that you'll arrive at your house and you need to sleep a couple of hours then wake up to eat but when I saw that my salary is not enough (I want to shift of work or career but I can't since it is too risky and I have a family to feed) I started to find a side hustle on which at first I thought I cant make it but again with determination you can get through to it and used to it later on. Though I need to sacrifice my rest and sleep it is okay as long as I've given the needs of my family

What Coyster said makes sense, in low-wage countries, they work almost all day in the same place and hardly have time to find another job, even if it's an online job. I used to work from 16 to 18 hours daily at the company, it can be said that no matter how familiar you are with the job, no matter how hard you try, you can't have the time and energy to do other things.
Working a lot without caring about your health is also not a good thing because without health, you cannot maintain a long-term job. You should not work too hard.
2232  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: January 14, 2023, 04:08:27 PM
It appears so for now but we will never know for sure. What if another bad thing happens tomorrow and bitcoin/stocks make a nosedive? To be honest,I think technical analysis is bullshit. Anybody can draw any line on any chart. Yours isn't an exception. Everybody says something according to TA but there is no one TA, everybody makes their own. People were saying bitcoin was cheap when it was $30k, then it went to $15k. According to them $30k was the bottom. Where are they now? Making new charts.

I'm not saying technical analysis is bullshit, but I don't fully trust charts either. Bitcoin spike to $21k broke all previous technical and fundamental analyses by experts, and you are right, everyone is making a new chart just like OP. He changed his mind too quickly;D Grin. Bitcoin is still unpredictable, and there are always surprises, don't just look at those zigzags but can confidently predict bitcoin.

The market is not only about us, there are big players who are silently manipulating everything, if we can draw the chart, they can do it too. Don't think we can beat them just by relying on the chart.
2233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia really run out of weapons for world war they've been for in decades? on: January 14, 2023, 03:56:11 PM
I even heard about this from the British and American media a few months ago, they claimed that Russia's arsenal is running out and will not be enough to prolong the war until the end of 2022. But then what? Ukraine was constantly attacked with high-precision cruise missiles and made Ukraine face a lot of difficulties when its energy facilities were crippled by Russia. It can be said that it was Western intelligence that harmed Ukraine. No one knows how many weapons Russia has, it's all lies by the Western media.

They were using a lot of their Kalibr missiles to strike Kiev and there were reports that in the first half of 2022 they had less than 100 of them left.
Since there were many launches since then and we even have videos of Ukrainians shooting down Kalibr missiles with MANPADS, we can safely say that Russians are running low.
As for the lies, there are intelligence unts assigned to watching and counting every single piece of armor, every ship and plane. Do you really think that NATO forces didn't have spies in Russia long before the war in Ukraine? Both sides know a lot about their armaments and what the Ukrainians didn't know they got from hundreds of Russian PoWs.

If Russia was doing good supply-wise its soldiers wouldn't be running with Mosins and using armor plates made of road signs.

Yes, they are running out of weapons and have just over 100 Kalibrs, and today Russia just attacked the infrastructure of the capital Kyiv, Ukrainian officials are still estimating the damage. You are underestimating their forces and will pay a heavy price if you continue to underestimate your opponent.

The fact that Russia withdraws troops or is recaptured by Ukraine does not mean that they are weak, in war sometimes they take 1 step back but 3 steps forward. The plan was always changed to suit the war situation.

Just because Bangladesh and Pakistan are Muslim countries does not mean that they follow Islam properly. And the biggest problem is that Muslims are not setting a good example for anyone to see. Anyway, I can name a bunch of stuff that Muslim countries are doing that they should not. But I am going to stay on cricket for now. You can already see the news that the Taliban are refusing to let women play cricket. Look at the hypocrisy. This country has been at war for so long and almost no one cared. As soon as they are saying they will not let their women play cricket suddenly the whole world has problems.
It is right that we should discuss about cricket no race or religion should be discussed. After a long war, Taliban rule has been re-established in Afghanistan. Whatever they say should be done in that country. According to this fact we cannot think of the entire Muslim country in the same way. Even in Bangladesh and Pakistan now women play cricket without any hindrance in their country's government. Moreover, there is no rule of killing people oppressively in the Muslim religion, but the Taliban government did so at one time. So it would be their internal problem.

When we are talking about cricket and Afghanistan, religion is always going to be an important thing.

Anyway, I am going to keep things centered towards cricket. The Bangladesh and Pakistan government does not hate or oppose the idea of women's cricket. Actually, they are trying to improve women's cricket. But on the other hand, the Afghanistan government is basically Taliban right now. And they are opposing the idea of the Afghanistan women playing cricket. So, I do not think it is going to happen in the recent future. Probably it is going to change but it will take time.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 14, 2023, 11:22:30 AM
There are several countries which have been trying for a long time to improve their cricket but they are not able to do so. But Afghanistan is a cricket team that has improved so much in a short period of time even the big countries have started thinking of them as a big opponent. Both their batting and bowling have been able to make a significant difference. Now they are lagging behind only for experience but in a few more years they will improve from that position and become known as another cricketing powerhouse country.
There is no doubt that Afghanistan is perhaps the team that has shown the maximum improvement in the last 10 years or so. But that doesn't take away the fact that that are the only test nation without a women's team at this point. ICC stresses a lot on gender equality and for cricket to qualify as an Olympic sport, they need to show that the sport is being played equally among the men as well as the women. Asian boards such as the BCCI and PCB may tolerate this issue, but as we have seen CA has already raised this on the big stage. ECB and CNZ may follow soon. And it will have negative repercussions for the Afghan cricket board.

@BobK71, Afghanistan has some really good talent. The biggest problem for them is they are not very stable in terms of politics. Anything can happen in this country. And of that instability, Afghanistan is not being able to improve in cricket as much as the probably could.

@Sithara007, Personally, I think that it will be better if Afghanistan concentrates on improving the men's team. Because that is going to be the main target for any country. The way Afghanistan is improving in men's cricket I think they can so be a team that will compete against the biggest power in cricket. And please don't talk about general equality because that is some bullshit agenda trying to be forced upon people.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 14, 2023, 01:09:08 AM
No, I do not think so. Because, I read somewhere "a strong Muslim is better than a weaker Muslim" just like there is another matter "Get knowledge even if you have to go to China for it" here it's not saying this all just for men it's saying all things equal for men and women but sadly right now Muslims have few groups which are bringing their own theory and trying to work on this which is clearly against the will of Islam it's just bullshit and nothing positive that all sports and education is just for men.

Few months back Afghanistan having soccer and cricket teams with Iran are also having soccer team for the women and few other Muslim countries are also involved in this all because now they are realizing things are not favourable to ban women's from all aspects of life which is good change but sadly these Taliban are never been true face of Islam.

First of all, "" Get knowledge even if you have to go to China for it"", ohh, that's really good.

As far as I know, Islam does never say that men and women are equal. Islam says that men are better than women in certain aspects of life and women are also better than men in certain things. And in those things in which women are better, I do not think cricket comes into that.

If playing cricket by women is prohibited in Islam, then how come Pakistan and Bangladesh are having women's teams? It is up to the Afghanistan cricket board to decide whether they want to allow this sport among the women or not. But if they doesn't allow the women to play cricket then in the end they will lose out. Because women's cricket has grown leaps and bounds during the past few years and the future trajectory also looks bright. Although it is not going to rival the men's game, in the next 5-10 years women's cricket will bring hundreds of millions of USD in revenue all over the world. If the Taliban doesn't want a share of that, then I am fine with their decision.

BTW, Australia has decided to cancel their series against Afghanistan, over Taliban's refusal to allow women play cricket:
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/01/12/sport/australia-afghanistan-cricket-taliban-intl-hnk-spt/index.html

Quote
Australia’s men’s cricket team has withdrawn from a series of upcoming matches against Afghanistan in protest over the ruling Taliban’s restrictions on women and girls’ education and employment, Cricket Australia (CA) said in a statement Thursday. The teams were scheduled to play three One Day International (ODI) games in the United Arab Emirates in March, but CA decided to cancel the series after “extensive consultation” with “several stakeholders including the Australian government,” the statement said.

As far as population of this world is concerned, we have adequate number of thinkers and developers but that are using there abilities in negative direction. Of course if we all collaborate we can make this world a better place but everyone of us wants bigger piece of cake.

I wonder how we will be better even if we collaborate. The earth cannot get bigger while the world population is increasing, so human needs are increasing, and to meet human needs, we will continue to destroy the earth to serve us. We are ruining our own lives, and there is no way we can make the earth a better place. I think the destruction of the earth is inevitable, if humans want to continue to exist, they need to find other planets with life, and I believe they are doing that.

Bayern Munich have a lot of money to be able to sign a solid goalkeeper now. But I don't know if they are eager to make such move. Sommer would be a really nice move actually and his contract expires in six months as well. This is like a big opportunity for them to finish this transfer by not spending any money on transfer fee. But let's see what the player and his team think about this.
They had better fill Neuer's place with a credible goalkeeper otherwise their job won't be easy about conceding not many goals.
Bayern Munich as the money to sign in a good keeper but the problem they are having is that they haven't a goal that is as good Manuel Neuer that's they haven't yet gotten a goal keeper. The goalkeeper that are available in the transfer market are not much and they are not up to the standard of goalkeeper the club wants. Manuel Neuer is a very talented goalkeeper that has saved Bayern Munich and also contributed to the victory of Bayern Munich. If Bayern Munich is unable to look for  a good keeper,  Manuel Neuer absent is a big loss.

Neuer is obviously a very good goalkeeper. And that's why it is going to be very hard to find another goalkeeper like him. And of course, there are other goalkeepers like him. The goalkeepers who are good are obviously taken by other big clubs. So it is hard for Bayern Munich to find a goalkeeper like him.

So, they will have to find someone. Because otherwise it is going to be bad for them and they are going to concede quite a few this season. So far I do not know if they have any actual choice as the first goalkeeper. But I believe they should hurry.

I have noticed recently Bayern Munich have not been spending so much on player signings rather they have been getting players on free deals. Maybe this is a new transfer strategy been abducted by the club to reduce expenses and increase their income but I'm sure Bayern Munich have to financial capacity to make huge signings also. I would advise they spend the money and get a suitable replacement for Neuer before the transfer window run out.

Bayern Munich is still browsing about goalkeepers. If they actually found someone that could actually fill all the things that they want they already would have got that player in the team. However, I think Bayern Munich has not found any goalkeeper who can actually replace Manuel Neuer.

If it's limited to training, then Pogba should be able to do it even though he's injured, but if he contributes to a match, then he probably won't go down with a lot of playing time because his injuries still often make him sick on the field, so Pogba must be careful when on the field. Hopefully Pogba will get well soon and return to make Juventus shine again with successive wins.
Yes, when a player has suffered an injury that is even more severe, he must be more careful because the injury could recur and this is very risky. We don't know yet whether Pogba's performance after injury will remain the same or decrease. But usually, the performance of players after a long injury will indeed experience a decline.
This time, the condition in which Pogba has started training again ahead of the Napoli match is a good sign. Maybe he won't enter full-time in the match, but at least he might have been able to strengthen even if only for a certain time. The match between Juventus and Napoli was a big and quite decisive game. Napoli will not be easy to defeat, but they still have a chance to make it. Both will have the chance, this will be a very exciting match to watch again to prove how strong actually Napoli.

I am always a believer in the health and safety of a player. If a player is not 100% ready he should not be put into a full match. Which I do not think Pogba is going to be put into. But I think he still should be careful. Because he is already recovering from an injury. And if he hurt himself again in that same area it is going to be hard for him to recover.

You know, if a player is not 100% fit from an injury it is easy for him to get injured again.

Juventus vs Napoli is going to be interesting because a lot is going to depend on this match. Juventus will surely want to win this match and get ahead in terms of points. And also keep the hope alive of winning the title.
