2221  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Almost lost all of my coins in an exchange last week on: January 30, 2021, 12:25:52 PM
As the old man said, “Not your keys, not your coins”

I suggest that if you want your coins or tokens to be safe, you must be willing to put em’ all in your cold or decentralized wallet where you are having the full custody of your private keys or mnemonic phrases. I only use exchange for day, swing and trend trading and not my storage.

It’s great that your coins and tokens are safe. Good job!
2222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If am not ranking why am I here? on: January 30, 2021, 11:50:58 AM
If ranking is not my concern why should I be committed
I know I need to learn that I haven't negleted
If nothing motivates me then I shouldn't be persistent
Help the newbies so we wouldn't feel intimidated

Everyone loves to make progress
If I don't upgrade what then would be my gain
If its not paying why should I be here?
Don't crusify me yet too once felt this way

Its feels good to feel among
When you see your idea has a voice
And gets credited for what you have done
So we wouldn't toil for naught

Am not saying we should sell our choice
But in all let's help the odd
In so doing we can improve their guts
And make them give their all in all their thought

Can you sing this for me?

The main purpose of this forum is for you to learn, engage with the community and give value rather than just focusing on ranking up or begging for merits. If you are here just for sending a lot of proof of authentications or low quality posts, then you will have a big problem in the long run. You know why? No one sees you as a valuable member of the forum because of that kind of mindset. You don’t deserve to get paid or anything if you continue with that mindset. No shortcuts here, it must be earned.

You want to get ranked? First, erase that kind of mindset. Second, start making a habit in posting one helpful topic to the community every day. For sure, you will be getting some merit from someone you don’t know if your topic is very helpful and valuable to the community.
2223  Economy / Reputation / Re: 10 Bounty Abuser. Cheated by enrolling multiple accounts on: January 30, 2021, 11:39:36 AM
10 accounts created on the same day November 20. 2020, are registered with the same bounty companies, thereby breaking the rules.
I found address intersections for several, but I am sure that the rest of the accounts are bots that consistently send reports to the bounty branches.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.msg56200449#msg56200449

Identical consecutive registrations in bounty companies.
Sometimes errors appear, in the form of the appearance of other social networks in the reports, but these social networks also belong to this farm.
Bounty, where these accounts are registered. And that's not all.

Good catch! I’m just sick and tired of these bounty abusers who are trying to take advantage in getting a lot of stakes by enrolling their multiple or alt accounts. It’s really unfair and they deserve to be tagged and get banned in future projects (or permaban if possible). If possible, Bitcointalk should block the IP address of that bounty abuser enrolling multiple accounts (however, they might use VPN and login on multiple IPs).

But the reality is probably less glamorous.

2224  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 30, 2021, 11:30:32 AM

And speaking of na padamihin mga exchanges, nakita ko yung update sa OKEx that they are now expanding their options by accepting bank transfer, GCash at Paymaya for depositing and withdrawals ng mga crypto naten aside sa Coins PH, Abra, Binance P2P at PDAX.

2225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: January 30, 2021, 10:31:44 AM
Assuming that it would replace fiat (with the exception of stablecoins), the government, SEC and banks are gonna find it very hard to regulate them (especially if P2P transactions are performed in cold wallets for physical goods and services). It may happen, but it may take decades or centuries to happen.
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin inheritance on: January 29, 2021, 11:50:37 AM
If I were to inherit my Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies one day, I would be leaving all of my private keys, mnemonic phrases, passwords and other login details in my “sacred notebook” and to keep it in a safe box for my future wife and kids. I will be writing a note “Don’t open this until I die” along with the password of the safe box.

And speaking of the safe box, I am thinking of buying one lol.
2227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best art for crypto trading on: January 29, 2021, 11:46:55 AM
There is no perfect art for crypto trading. There are no guaranteed astronomical returns in the world of trading cryptos. No perfect strategies whatsoever. Every decision is in your own instincts. Of course, you can learn various patterns, candlesticks, or any related terms in cryptocurrency trading, but none of them are perfect and guaranteed because the market is very unpredictable.

Ang tinatatakutan ko is what if nag transfer na ako, and then they hold it asking me questions, at pag d natanggap, they would be stuck (and might steal it away from me) and possibly not returning it sa pinagmulan na wallet.

Haha baka private keys? Lol joke.

Mahirap ata yan when it comes to proof. I believe hindi pa sila maging convinced pag nag video clip ka at inexpose pa yung entire balance ng Trust Wallet in terms of asking proof. Haisst!!!

I’m just imagining lang.
2231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: January 28, 2021, 07:11:35 AM
Hi Everyone, I have a dilemma since I am holding an wholesome portion of bitcoin. With all the speculation going on in the market I don't know whether to sell or hold on my bitcoin. I've been wanting for more than a week to see if bitcoin's price improves, but it is only falling more and more.

I've gone through dozens of analysts' blogs, websites, market cap sites, price prediction sites, and all the important bitcoin market sites to find the right answer. But I am still unsure.

So, can anyone please tell me if I should dump my bitcoins with some losses (selling at lesser price than the buying price), or should I hold on to it?

There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

Viketo Sumi (Armani123)

It depends on you mate. Whatever advice do we have, the final decision will always be onto you. Once you have made your final decision, you will fully understand the risk that you are taking even if the price goes down.
2232  Economy / Exchanges / Re: If you're using Bitstamp, now might be a good time to ditch it. on: January 28, 2021, 07:06:42 AM
This is bad. Really bad. Imagine if a lot of countries are doing the same. Governments are trying to kill the term “decentralization”. Regulatory moves like this are destroying the purpose of decentralization. Unless of course, if paper bills and physical coins are gonna phase out and we are going cashless transactions and merchants accepting cryptos, in that way, government will have a hard time regulating it.

Ang tinatatakutan ko is what if nag transfer na ako, and then they hold it asking me questions, at pag d natanggap, they would be stuck (and might steal it away from me) and possibly not returning it sa pinagmulan na wallet. And this is a disadvantage if we only send small amount because of the possibility of wire transfer fee on top ng gas fee, plus tax pa in which masakit sa bulsa.

What if they ask kung saan ko kinuha ang funds at nagsabing airdrop at bounty rewards yung answer, baka i-disapprove nila at ma freeze o ma deactivate na account ko for that, or even making me spend lots of time providing documents mga ganun.

Sana before they do this, mag consult sila muna sa public para marinig nila ang opinions natin. Opinion ko lang.

It's not about the fees pero yung pag-kolekta ng mga Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) na kagaya ng coinsph ng data from sender to receiver ang hinihigpitan dito alinsunod sa international standards.

Kasama sa mga kukunin ang mga sumusunod:

    Sender information
    Receiver information
    Amount
    Purpose

At isa pa, crypto taxes may be implemented rin in the future if hihigpitan pa ni BSP ang industriyang ito.

Sa akin lang, this tight regulation destroys the purpose of decentralization.

"Entities engaged in these activities will now be “subject to the BSP’s licensing requirements, regulatory expectations for money service businesses (MSB)” as well as AML, CFT, and PF obligations."

Probably safe to assume na hihigpit saatin ang local exchanges, as to be expected naman. Kaya sa mahihilig parin magstore ng lahat ng funds nila sa Coins.ph: not your keys.. you know the drill.

Eh what about yung Abra at Binance P2P kaya?

2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I predict stricter regulations for bitcoin and the cryptospace for 2021-2024 on: January 27, 2021, 04:57:34 AM
And Philippines is also starting to level up in their crypto regulations as well:

https://news.bitcoin.com/philippine-central-bank-cryptocurrency-regulation-growth-crypto/

One of the things that I'm concerned about their new guidelines is the fact that cryptocurrency transfers are treated as "cross-border wire transfer" which VCEs are hereby to comply with the governing wire transfer rules of the Central Bank. I have a strong feeling that on top of the ridiculous gas fees, they might enforce wire transfer fees as well.

It might continue to slowly tighten within a few years from now.

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/philippine-central-bank-cryptocurrency-regulation-growth-crypto/

Is it a good sign? Or bad? Or neutral lang?

"The new framework also emphasizes that all transactions involving the transfer of cryptocurrencies “shall be treated as cross-border wire transfer

Maraming salamat!
2238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Poolz DeFi - 25000 POZ Reward Pool (ENDED) on: January 26, 2021, 12:39:57 PM
What's the issue for the projects to keep up their promise after a very successful ico. They raised a lot of money and their is lot of demand for the token and they decide to distribute it over 2.5 years .

I asked in the group and they are reconsidering a new strategy . I hope they decide to distribute as promised before .

Yup I am just only concerned about their strategy that’s all which is almost similar to CitiOS (who ended up executing a rug pull and fled after reaching the target price after the pump, ending the hopes of the bounty hunters). Poolz is doing well recently, especially that their price is pumping and with decent liquidity. Again, this is just my opinion and hopefully they respect it. Thanks!
2239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Poolz DeFi - 25000 POZ Reward Pool (ENDED) on: January 25, 2021, 09:07:29 PM
POOLZ bounty campaign participants may be interested in this announcement. POOLZ is quite high, it could be the cause of this decision. Shocked
https://t.me/fatemabounty/23499

I just hope that this doesn't end up like CitiOS. At first, they have a good trading volume and price was pumping high. After the bounty campaign, CitiOS did said that they will distribute after 6 months and coin starts to dump in price and liquidity gradually towards zero. CitiOS was suppose to be distributed last June or July 2020, but it turned out to be an exit scam as they totally ditched the hunters.

Regardless of being a legitimate project or having elite partnerships, they have to keep their promise to the hunters who spent a lot of time and worked hard for this. Just my opinion.
2240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you combat your weaknesses in trading? on: January 25, 2021, 10:19:55 AM
Poor risk management and decision-making are truly my weaknesses, especially when the market crumbles without warning. I admit that because of not making the right decisions, I had missed a lot of opportunities in both airdrop, trading and converting at the right time.

On how I combat my weaknesses, I keep learning my lessons despite it’s hard to accept about missing on something. I never stop learning. I read motivational books or watch some videos to keep me motivated in all life aspects about accepting the result and learn to move forward. Improving my trading skills and decision makings would make things a little bit better to cope up with my weaknesses.
