2221  Economy / Reputation / Re: Heads up on this user on: May 08, 2023, 08:27:17 PM
Anyone can come on this forum that needs someone's service in return for money. What I am saying is that you supposed to add the person's username so that we can all know the person's username.
Sorry , I forgot to add the profile link. I added it.

Also as I mentioned. No money was involved but his actions was unethical and something that should be avoided.
The business world has a standard business approach that should be followed. It is possible that this user doesn't understand business ethics which was why he refused to respond. He might feel that since no party has performed any service or made any payment, the business can be called off without information. I have experienced this behavior many times with prospective clients. Maybe he has gotten another person to perform the service. But the ideal thing was to inform you of his final decision. He has not been active since April 26th, so there might be the possibility that he might be going through some unpleasant situation. However, Op took a good decision by requesting an escrow, and thank God nobody got cheated.

That was a good move by OP. You know things happens and we have no idea why he has not been online for sometime now. Although such experience is not a new thing to me as I know how to handle such  when ever it occurs. OP should just forget about him as there is every possibility that he or she might have gotten another source for the job or something might have happened but however, if he or she is genuine, their is every possiblity that they would return back to OP for continuation of their deal.

OP, at this point I will advise to keep watch he just might come back but this time be sure to confirm with escrow before you proceed with your agreement.

2223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: May 08, 2023, 03:43:06 PM
Those that could gamble with demo accounts are the computer gaming freaks and newbies who are looking for ways to familiarise themselves with the casino and its features but aside from that, one will need to gamble staking real money to get the right motivation and drive to play those games.

Absolutely correct mate, you know when you are getting into a system newly, you would need to get familiarized with the system on how it works though and I think that is the best thing to do at the moment one decides to get involved in anything of that nature. As you have said,  gamers  will do that because it is quite a different thing from playing games. This is reality and would require all forms of skills and techniques quite different from playing of games. You know as well it requires commitment and funds compared to playing of games.
So therefore, it would not be a bad idea familiarizing with the casino demo system to getting more knowledge about how the system works before jumping in to it to commiting your funds for gambling.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 01:09:07 PM
Hi we are changing the reward system and we would like to have some feedback before launch the new system

What kind of rewards/bonuses do you like ?

Welcome bonuses , cashback , freespins etc ?

or what kind of rewards would you like to see in an online casino ?

Thanks
A poll would have been added to this discussion, so that at the end you will be able to see which of the rewards/bonuses that gamblers on this forum like the most because everyone has a preference.

Since you are trying to change your reward system, and the aim definitely is to increase and attract new gamblers, it will be important to point out to you that before some gamblers choose to begin playing on a casino even with any promised reward or benefit, they first consider the terms and conditions of the bonuses and rewards offered, the withdrawal limits, wagering requirements, in some cases how long the rewards can last, and how often they will get rewards for gambling even after they sign up for the casino's.

This is absolutely correct mate. You see all these bonuses are just to attract crowd but the real thing lies in the terms and conditions and even the bonuses too has  clause holding it. Just as you have said, before one could get hold of the bonuses, they must have fulfilled certain criteria  to being entitled to that bonus otherwise they have nothing to get.

So therefore, OP, this is not a bad idea of participants suggesting bonuses to you for consideration as requested by you but honestly speaking, the terms and conditions holding those bonuses are what is very important because one would not be happy if after doing their own part and wanting to claim their bonus and finds out that their are some hidden terms and conditions, it would not be making any sense.
2225  Other / Meta / Re: [Workaround] Automatically Save Text Written In Bitcointalk Editor on: May 07, 2023, 09:45:24 PM
I saw several users requesting for this feature, there are plenty workarounds like using third party editors however this one takes the cake as it works on bitcointalk editor.

Nothing extraordinary, just an extension, named TextArea Cache. Download it For Chrome | For Firefox.

Automatically saves text written in editor, bitcointalk and others, even when window/tab is closed, system shutdown or pressed 'X' on your mobile keyboard (works with any extension supported browser).

Android: Kiwi | Lemur | Mises

iOS: Orion

Leave your feedback.

OP, it is nice you have discovered this.  We could test run it to see how good it works on the pages but my fear here is this, how sure are you that this extension would not be exposing our details to hackers. How strong and good is this extension is to be operational.
And if I may ask, OP, are you amongst their team?
Because what I see you doing is an indirect advertisement for this extension  project.
2226  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: May 07, 2023, 09:22:28 PM
As interesting as this topic is, there would be many views and personal perspective from different people which is quite alright with me.

However, I have come to realize that many people fit in to many activities in life just to stay abreast and connected to the main stream. A career is good and a business is welcoming.

I believe building a business takes patience and time which not every body has that calms and chills to handle it and instead, would opt for a paid job for survival but it doesn't ends there.
I have come to realize that most people prefer government jobs. Why? because of the time they would need for their own personal business which means that even while working as an employee, people still run their various businesses through proxy and this is basically seen in the government institutions because they have time and are not under any pressure to work so they devote that time to their own personal business.
2227  Economy / Services / Re: I am hunting for a job on: May 07, 2023, 09:02:22 PM
Hi
I am currently in need of a job and thought to give it a try on this forum trusting for some positive results.
I do have the following skills: Graphic and UI designs, content writing, email marketing and technical proofreading.
Thank you.

You nailed it mate. OP has diverse Skills and would be good to try it out for the exchange as you have mentioned. Since OP is a newbie here with no experience neither does he have reputation to get along but with you opinion OP can be able to achieve that.

Secondly, OP, you can as well build up your account through meaningful contributions and good engagements in activities here so you could grow up in ranks which would qualify you for signature campaign where you could wear signature and avatar while promoting a project here and you will be rewarded in bitcoin for your  tasks or job well done.

Do not forget that you could also be doing your signature campaign and as well be doing your graphics designing jobs as you have stated which would be an extra plus for you.
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: May 07, 2023, 05:04:36 PM
It is heard that many banks are going bankrupt and closing down.

It baffles me when I hear people saying banks are folding and going bankrupt but there are still fiat in circulation and in possession and if I may ask you this question, who are the custodian if the fiat? I believe you would say the bank so how come the banks are folding and going bankrupt.
I will only agree with you if you say account holders are beginning to move their funds out  from one bank to another bank due I some certain reasons best known to them or maybe their bank messed up big time and they decided to take such actions against the bank which has caused them going bankrupt and resulting to them folding up.
2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrewing the capital and reinvesting the profits. on: May 07, 2023, 01:29:35 PM
Good day everyone it has been a couple of weeks now I managed to drop a thread based on my job activities, since today is a Sunday I will like us to talk about an interesting discussion that says Withdrewing the capital and reinvesting the profit's. my family normally do businesses with people outside our local community, these peoples normally comes to my community to buy some fishes which they sell for a living but after my perents are done selling they remove their capital and use the profits for other business, so that is for physical business now come to online investment's like bitcoin and others coins in the market's, for instance I bought a coin of $1000 and after everything I got a profit of $3000, if I withdrawn my capital from the investment and keep the profits will I still inherit more profits? My reason for asking this question is because I understand that on any online investment's, the more your capital the more your profits.

Reinvesting your profit is not a bad idea. Moreover, it makes the business grow very strong and tall amongst it rivals making more profits for the owner as the case maybe. It also leads to expansion and further business development if the profits are properly integrated back into the business system in good fate.

When it comes to bitcoin and other related Crypto currencies, same is applicable. Taking profit is not a bad thing more especially when you are holding for a short time or you are a trader. As the market is generally known to be volatile, it is advisable to take profit while you can when the market is Green and possibly buy back when it is red and down below the previous.

This is the simple logic;

Buy when the market is down to get much volume and sell when the market is up to get much profit.
2230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Montana bitcoin enthusiasts are now protected by the law. on: May 07, 2023, 01:08:56 PM
It's great news to see that Montana is taking a positive stance towards bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The passing of a bill protecting at-home mining, preventing discriminatory utility rates, and exempting crypto used as payment from additional taxes is a significant step forward for the state.

It's possible that politicians are realizing the potential benefits of embracing cryptocurrency and are therefore speaking in support of it during their campaigns. Regardless of their motivations, the fact remains that Montana's bitcoin enthusiasts can now operate without fear of legal repercussions.

It's encouraging to see lawmakers recognizing the value of this emerging technology and taking steps to promote its use. Let's hope that other states and countries follow suit and adopt similar measures to protect and promote the use of cryptocurrency.

Well it is good that the politicians are beginning to realize the importance and benefits of bitcoin in the society and economy at large but I was wondering why they had delayed the process of bill approval for this long frustrating bitcoiners and Crypto enthusiast in their locality come to talk of it,  it is election time and they know the masses would definitely vote.

I was wondering this to be a quick campaign point for them so as to get cheap popularity and votes from the bitcoin community. I hope they behave better this time and  do the right thing after being voted into power.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 07, 2023, 10:45:59 AM
OP, there is a saying that says "patience is a virtue" and I have come to realize that not everybody has that patience to learn and be educated in knowing what they ought to know to gain more knowledge to sustain themselves on the long run.
Sad but that is the truth and we can't expect that all who buy Bitcoin today will hold and wait for the next bull market. Because it was hard for someone to become strong when their mind is already manipulated by uncertainties, they will seel then when the market corrections come.

Newbies these days are so desperate to get rich quick without knowing how the  process works so they could play or tag along as to get things going fine for them but it backfires them into joining wrong hands and sometimes scammers who at the end scam them of their hard earned funds all in the name of x1000 and unrealistic return of investment that is not  guaranteed.

They are not actually desperate but because these influencers showing money publicly and talking about easy money (which is not true) remains on their minds. While some people think that this would be the answer to their financial problems and invest even without knowledge. That is why they easily fall into scam investments and lose their money.

In as much as some are moved by the show biz of some influencers, some are still most desperate to making some ends meet as a result of their predicament so therefore, would want to go extra miles to making sure they ake out something no matter how it is without doing proper research on what they are about investing their funds. I believe some are also manipulated and deceived into investing too as they are in a quick hurry to invest while some too are just looking for where to keep their funds as a result of the excesses in their possession. Well I would not blame them for having it in excess though but they would receive blame for not doing the proper thin which requires them doing a proper research on the investment they put their funds.
2232  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 07, 2023, 10:10:04 AM
It's not like someone will get a loan just by applying for it. If a new member applies for a loan, the other member of the forum who is interested in giving the loan must consider whether the loan can be given to the new member or on what basis the loan should be given to the new member. But the problem is that this threat is spammed a lot by new members, so to avoid this spamming, it won't hurt to make a rule to prevent new members from posting in this section.

Like I said in my previous post, policy governing the lending thread should be reviewed if there is any already existing so as to avoid further spamming by newbies. It is worrisome that most of these newbies do not read at all they just hop in and start applying for loan without any collateral since the loan is void of collateral. Well, I think this  time it should be clearly and boldly written for easy view for them to see so that no one would cry to have been victimized by anybody when it happens.

With this, the possibility of spamming the thread might likely reduce a bit and every one would take caution while playing by the rules.
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 07, 2023, 01:20:40 AM
OP, there is a saying that says "patience is a virtue" and I have come to realize that not everybody has that patience to learn and be educated in knowing what they ought to know to gain more knowledge to sustain themselves on the long run.

Initially, Satoshi invented the Bitcoin for a better placement of money for daily transaction whereby one can use it for buying and selling of goods and services but the reverse was the case as the process was hijacked by whales who turned it to an investment plan. Since then, the generation that comes in sees it as an investment plans and therefore it as a get rich quick scheme to them because of bitcoin price volatility.

On Yo!Mix Campaign we have Green Zone now! Read update:

-snip-
WHAT IS GREEN ZONE?
Quote
-snip-
In Sinbad campaign it's no different, you will be paid according to the value you provide to the campaign. The higher is your contribution to the forum, the greater is your pay rate. In one line - the Green Zone is for high value members. Currently, we have 11 Green Zone spots including one undisclosed member. We may increase or even decrease the number of spots in the Green Zone in the future but chances to increase is higher though.
-snip-
Isn't this a Yo!Mix thread? I think you need to review the sentence that I quoted above.

I think there's nothing wrong about that. As you can see, it was quoted by manager Royse777 and moreover, he manages both campaign which means the write up were all from him.

What I am trying to say in essence is that he was trying to illustrate by quoting  so that participants could understand him properly and get the clues on how it works. As you can see, below the quote he made he had to explain it again for better understanding for every one who visits this thread frequently.

I believe you could understand the point I am trying to make here so as not to get confused if that be the case.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Montana bitcoin enthusiasts are now protected by the law. on: May 05, 2023, 10:09:49 PM
If this bill is successfully passed in Montana

From the reports, the bill was successfully passed with votes from the senators supporting the motion for the bill. So I see no doubt in that as a matter of fact, the same report states that the bill will be sent for approval as it has already been voted for. I think you should read that again to get it clear with facts and figures so as to be sure and avoiding doubt.
2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Montana bitcoin enthusiasts are now protected by the law. on: May 05, 2023, 06:41:32 PM

Bitcoin is beginning to gain traction in the United States as the law makers of Montana state passes a bill guiding miners to mine bitcoin. We all are aware of the US government negativity over bitcoin but of lately it is beginning to bounce back but i do not know if it is for political reasons all these are coming now but for sure I have watched and read  a lot of interviews press conferences held by Presidential aspirants of political parties talking about supporting bitcoin if elected. Are they doing this just for cheap political gains or what?

However, bitcoin enthusiasts at Montana should be celebrating as they are now free to mine and trade on bitcoin.
What startled me most is that;
"The proposed law passed 37-13 in the Senate and next will go the state's House for its approval. The bill protects at-home mining, prevents discriminatory utility rates for miners and stipulates that crypto used as payment will not be subject to additional taxes."

You can see the vote power and strength coming from the assembly men. This time it would not be game as usual.

2237  Economy / Gambling / Re: Land base slot vs Online slot RTP on: May 05, 2023, 04:41:06 PM
OP, each of the casino options are unique in their own ways as I would not say anything against them. The both are fun and pleasurable to those who understands. I personally am very much comfortable with online casino because if the comfort I get and my identity unknown to anybody. I cherish my privacy so I do not think it is necessary for me to go live land  casino for gambling exercise when I have everything at my comfort zone which saves me the stress of jumping about from on sport to another.

From your conclusion, you said online casino does not cost a lot. Where did you hear that from? Who told you that? Do you know that most of those online casino spend heavily just to get their casino a good promotinal campaign ? How long have you heard or seen land casino doing promotinal campaign of that nature? Do your research properly on financial cost involved in establishment of both casinos then you would know what it takes.
2238  Economy / Economics / Re: Have a Income? Invest in Crypto or Not? Let's think realistically on: May 05, 2023, 04:26:31 PM
It is always advisable to try in one way or the other to have an investment aside your hustle. Sure your hustle should pay but what if your hustle somehow is not as it used to be do you not think your investment must have accrued to help sustain you for a period of time pending when your hustle ( work) pays. Just as mvdheuvel1983 has said no profit is too small or big as long as it serves a purpose for you, it is something worth it.

Looking at your experience, I saw the issue of self discipline. If you had mapped out your trading limit, you would not have had that terrible experience. Self discipline is very much applicable in trading likewise gambling. When you have self control, there is a limit to which you do some certain things which does not affect you in any ways.

I will advise traders to exercise discipline when trading, do not trade with vengeance of recovering all you have lost otherwise you will keep losing more.
2239  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Our hospitas dy do our sick piple well or not? Wetin be your take? on: May 05, 2023, 03:37:41 PM
Before I hate hospital like mad but after wetin happen to me for hospital I just cut cap go them, but no be just hospital oh I mean private hospital. There own package go well, them dy attend fast fast like the way bet slip dy take cut, but the pay no be here.
I no just know why private charge pass but they get the job done than the "I don't care" government hospital. Well this matter never get cure yet.

They act fast because they are private clinic and are rendering services for your payment. Unlike the public hospitals where there are no spaces, care and comfort.  As you have said private and as their name implies, they are commercial hospital built for business purposes and profit making so they must be at their very best and professionally engaging their clients and patients on satisfactory service delivery.

This will continue until the government live up to their expectations making all and employee f it o xx nec
2240  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Guys, do we now have two president? on: May 05, 2023, 03:18:02 PM
I hope say all of us don hear how Tinubu wey dem say na president elect go ph go commission bridge on the invite of governor Nyesom wike of Rivers State. Because of this,Wike declare holiday for Rivers because of person wey dem never sworn in as president, miracle no dey tire us for this country. The thing tire me because shenanigans just dey look for favour up and down to be relevant.
Menh....IMO and legally, I think say e dey wrong and abuse on the seat of presidency to see Tinubu dey commission federal project wey President Buhari never hand over. Unto which capacity wey go make Tinubu dey go commission project, this na real lawless country full of nepotism, confraternity, affiliation politics wey everything can go because you belong together.
I just dey think say if to say no be the same APC political party wey President Buhari and Tinubu dey, shey him for go do that commissioning of bridge?
I'm sure that for cause another catacata if to say no be the same party.
Wetin we reason?

Mate there is nothing wrong with the whole thing. I am not siding anybody but let the truth be told in accordance with the law, Tinubu has every Presidential power ever since he won and was issued a return certificate. He assumes the right to the Presidency pending his official handover he even has the right to attend FEC meetings and advise the President but does not have much right to signatory until it is handover. So therefore, it is not wrong as the governor himself is a lawyer and he fully knows the law that was why he went ahead to invite Tinubu to commission the projects.

In terms of these categories mate, it is not lawless and neither is it politics here. It is part of the obligatory duties as a President elect.
