I think I just noticed you reboot the decred deamon =)
yeah no reconnect in the last several minutes.  Webpage shows the coin greyed out.  Hope all is well on the server front.

Can you set start diff of 1 for decred please. (this has already been done in the yiimp.ccminer.org pool.)

Claymore's dual miner is reporting 10% of the actual hash because the diff is too low and shares are lost. Same for the sp-mod optimized decred kernal.

I have no problems setting 1 for diff. For my CPU miner I actually use 0.1 ....

Download the latest DCR capable nvidia miner and check within the last few pages for the string I use to run it.  Shouldn't be simpler than that offhand.

I can't point you where I downloaded mine as I didn't keep a record...

I don't see why it won't work.  Assuming you are mining DCR
I just did followed the instruction where I can enter suprnova pool but after following the instruction instead mining dcr my ccmner mine vnl so I just hoping some one can help me out to point it correctly thank you for your advise and I hope i did not bothered you I'm just reaching out for someone who can assist me to do some mining even a single dcr for me is already a big help. again many thanks to you answer I'll keep it in mind that my laptop is more than valued than mining. hahaha.. cheer up...

ccminer-DCD.exe -r 0 -a decred -i 24 -o stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:5744 -u 1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP -p c=BTC,d=1,decred=1.8

I use ccminer; and copied the decred optimized version to my folder and just appended the name as seen above.  the balancing is as per the pool payout statistics, so 1.8 is the Ghash amount my video card puts out.  if you put out .5Ghash, it would be 0.5... etc.

This is the string I use with my GTX980.   If you wish the machine to be responsive, back intensity off to ~17-20 example being -i 20 as a change.

would it be possible for you to give me some help i want to mine dcr using my laptop an i7 pro 2.5ghz with built in nvidia 940 I keep looking online to your guide but I really a newbie with the set up so if its possible for to mine it using your pool please i need the proper set up you can PM me if its not possible to share it here in your thread sir, thank you in advanced hope you can reply. good luck.

I'm very much for people mining on whatever possible;

But I highly advise against mining with a laptop unless you are using an external PCIE adapter (they make em) and a non-integrated graphics card.

It may work at first;  but heatsoak will kill your laptop.

Ive done it with CPU and GPU mining.... and so far I have destroyed 4 laptops.
so which means mining on a laptop is not profitable? I just want to check because I do have same concern with regarding to mine dcr using i3 laptop i already used it and mine some alt as well so if its possible teaching me how dcr works from suprova what code to i need to use for it to work with ccminer. thank you in advance sir.

Its not about profit.   Laptops are simply not designed to be run at 100% 24/7.  They will fail.  Quickly.

2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blocksize update: Would this be easier? on: April 23, 2016, 01:36:33 AM
Why not halve the reward and produce blocks twice as fast instead?

How would this effect the ecosystem aside from having a slight amount more data waste per block than with a larger block (header vs block data ratio)?

I don't see this hurting the ecosystem or the miners......   In fact, speeding up coins helps miners with averaging and consistency in payout times.
2228  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Inexpensive 1400W Power supply on: April 22, 2016, 02:17:12 AM
I tried jumpering the pin to - but it didn't power up... Very strange.  I hope I didnt get a faulty one...  But it was free.  And the pin on the datasheet I found originally is the very same .5mm short pin (at the end of the connector)  I already labeled the +, - and 5V rails.

I can make a breakout board for it;  does anyone have the connector part number to be able to interface with it?  That's where I kind of got lost on my attempt to make one.  But if someone knows of a good part number......  Ill just whip up my own at that point....  I haven't had the chance to etch my own board since High school so why not do it myself.

He hasnt said where he gets them from or how many he has access to;  but hes brought me a lot of good priced hardware in the past.  He keeps bringing batches of gridseed blades to the US from china to sell as well.

In my case im doing this with my GTX980 for cross reference:

ccminer.exe -r 0 -a lyra2v2 -i 17.3 -o stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:4533 -u 1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP -p c=BTC,d=1,lyra2v2=9.6

Above you were omitting the "v2" in lyra2v2.  I did this before and had share and profit switching issues.
2230  Bitcoin / Mining support / Inexpensive 1400W Power supply on: April 17, 2016, 11:35:41 PM
I got my hands on one of these as a test sample.   My friend says he has access to a LOT of them I believe.

Supermicro PWS-1K41P-1R

Anyone know if these need any sort of external input to power on?  The power LED lights when plugged in, but the 12V rail doesn't put anything out.

Anyone worked with these?  Any adapters out there?
2231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool on: April 17, 2016, 09:10:19 PM

zpool does not support the use of workername. Simply supply the BTC address you want to get paid in.

So, can I use just one BTC address for all (three) rigs?

<Address>.worker1
<Address>.worker2
<Address>.worker3
etc....

I believe worker names are not supported;  or rather;  they arent to be attached to the login name as they do no good.  I havent had any issues before adding one;  but I know ive been told by crackfoo that they arent used.

Just point all your miners at the same username and all mined funds will be payed out to that account =)

something is off on the pool stats for DECRED.

When we seem to be generating a lot of blocks in good amounts of time (good luck);

On the page it shows decred profitability next to the coin itself on the left.   Should be between 4.xxx and 5.xxx when it's 2.xxx

It seems to read lower the better the pool luck is.....   am I the only one seeing this?

Website down; cloudflare says connection error.

I can access zpool - no issues - perhaps broken link at your ISP
yeah when I got home my machine was fine and mining;  site worked flawlessly.

It was strange because the clousflare prompt said my browser and everything was fine, but there was an error to the site.

Anyways;  thanks!  Sorry for the issue... lol

Not complaining... just saying it aint me Wink

LOL.... that was me I think, I was playing around with a 8-core AMD rig. I hope I didnt mine you too much tips  Grin

I dont mind at all!  Not much.  maybe a few thousand satoshis =)

I only noticed because I was remotely walking my friend through normalizing machines up in sf.   Ill ultimately bring them home and babysit them for him. Got almost 4Gh of decred now =)

Have some spotty wireless here in Jamaica, but mining connectivity should be ok u less your miner version is buggy and send invalid work requests it could have been banned automatically I can't check any of that until I get back.

Cheers

I'm interested in this:  Anyone have a link to a discussion about this?  Or some quick tips?

My buddy has been getting dropped from the pool on the scrypt port and has no clue why.  its connecting to NiceHash just fine....

I know hes running a 25Mh G-blade a pair of orbs and a gridseed blade (5Mh)...  Not sure if hes still running the G-blade off a pc or if he finally replaced the built in pi that was damaged during shipping.

Prior to your vacation and the switch over he wasn't having any issues.

I do mine via command line...  and am more familiar with intensity settings;  I have mine dialed back to have my box still usable.  Its my one powerhouse in the house;  Ill probably be upgrading it soon though.

Im sure others could comment.

He's on vacation as per a few replies back.

I have two S3's currectly connected to the pool and hashing fine.

Why are you mining with a video card to port 3333?  Seems very wasteful......  but im probably interpreting wrong what you are trying to convey.

If your antminers have extranonce, try adding #xnsub to the stratum line;  and be sure to use a proper formatted password.   I can't see why people are having connection issues as I havent been having any myself;  and I go through a cellular or satellite link;  which is by far not optimal and the most problematic.

I just googled one and downloaded it....  The miner apps are all listed by name in the batch example.   Should be easy to find the current version.
