2221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2022, 07:26:01 PM
Markets seem to have stabilized above 38000 dollars which gives me the sense of confidence that we ready to go bullish again as it's gone above $40k after being bearish for a while but if I want to buy coins..I would wait for another retest of 39,000 which will certainly come before going up up and away..

Even though the market is well over the tested support of 38,000$ but there is a key resistance at 43,000$ and bitcoin has been rejected at that level a few times now. Bitcoin needs a lot of volumes to surpass this resistance and stay above it for a few days or a week for more confirmation. If this does not happen, we may again dump to 38,000$ and test the support again. Remember, if the support is tested again and again it also becomes weak and the same goes for the resistance.
2222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How a Pakistani celebrity and crypto billionaire challenged his government on: March 22, 2022, 03:49:22 PM
Is it only story yet? Any video I can find on this story? Sound interesting to me.
Maybe he'll be the next leader like president of El Salvador

The link to the video is already mentioned in the OP. You just need to click on the below link.

Secondly, do not compare this guy with the president of the El Salvador. This guy seems to be a celebrity or perhaps a film star type of person who later joined crypto not only for himself but used his links and fame to educate his nation too. I like his mindset of him as he cares for his countrymen.

I am an active using STAKE.COM site and using sport betting as gambling way, last week my account suddenly banned after success winning sport betting and now I have 2.3k doge in my wallet but my account have been banned. I try to chat support online but their reason my account banned because fraud with bonus, I never joining any bonus program and only active with gambling on sport side, how come 2,3k doge coin received from bonus, here my fund and my account still banned until right now

I hope you are not Russian Smiley. Everywhere poor souls are in trouble - Why would they do that? Did you contact them again for the support I am unable to digest that you have keep so much amount at one place. Many a times in different forums member have mentioned not to keep all the money in soft wallets. I can pray that you get your money. And when you get it - don't let it stay there!

This issue was raised last year in December and we had enough discussion on it. We haven't heard from the OP if the case was resolved or still unresolved but it seems that this case is still not resolved.

By the way, since you asked if OP was an Russian, this issue occurred before the war and has no link to it. Also i don't think that stake is blocking Russians users ? Are they ?
2224  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 21, 2022, 03:13:53 PM

The majority of vulnerabilities in established gambling websites have already been patched; however, this does not imply that there are no vulnerabilities; as technology evolves, new vulnerabilities are discovered; however, in the case of established gambling websites, the vulnerabilities will be patched as soon as possible. Also, if you are serious about playing on a new website because of the freebies, you should be prepared to be scammed, so only deposit money that you can afford to lose.
The society we live in is very unsupportive for gambling. Be it online Gambling or gambling in casino. It is put in our mind from childhood days. Easy come, easy go. When you get the money through easy Channels. You let it flow with same ease through the other Channels. I have never seen person getting rich through gambling. So it's better to be safe than sorry!
It's probably because many people have experienced big losses from gambling. They always tell their children to stay away from gambling, especially if they don't have good control over gambling. But there are people out there who can get rich through gambling.

But vulnerabilities that occur on gambling sites or other sites will always be there. As @xSkylarx said, along with the technology development, the security factor is always a point that the hackers will try to exploit to break into their servers. Only sites that really pay attention to security issues can always protect their sites from hackers.

Warning people that gambling is bad for someone that is not well prepared is good, but I don't agree that all of the people is not lucky to be in the gambling industry, there are quite few individuals who are successful in life because of playing gambling. About the vulnerabilities, it can't be help since we're just humans, we don't make perfect things since we're not even perfect in the first place.

No matter how good it seems a certain gambling site is, there's gonna be a weakness or few that could be found on it's system.

There is a difference in vulnerabilities in gambling site and losing in gambling. A vulnerability is a bug which may hurt your winnings which should be taken care of immediately by the gambling site. On the other hand, Losing in gambling is a part of gambling. You lose some games and you win some games. Some people are lucky who win big jackpots while others may find it hard to win at times. If you come to know any vulnerability in a gambling site, better stop playing there until it is fixed.

And we do also know for over two & a half years now precisely why the BV hotwallets are deliberately kept low and empty out easily (and no, lightlord doesn't just want to hire some staff or representative to replace him when he can't handle things, because he doesn't TRUST other people with ACCESS to SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS of SITE USERS' FUNDS) :

That is not a right approach. Even the big businesses have people who manage funds. It is not always the owner who is responsible for the financial dealings. The responsibility should be delegated.

I'm afraid that its getting late for Him to made such movement , more than 2 years that his gambling site (Specially Bitvest) that facing same issue over and over and that is the Funds involved , yeah he is paying all the troubled funds yet not in the time the gamblers needed it and i think this is already a red flag, and also he kept mentioning to act best sooner but time is running yet no good activities from his part and the problem of wallet having funds are always the issue.
maybe lets accept the fact that those casino he owns are already dying?

Better to be late than never without any movement. I'm sure most of their active players will accept the situation as they love the site much. In case Lightlord do a late movement because of a valid and acceptable reason, their players will be more than happy if Lightlord show a great movement in the site as well as in this forum. I would not think about the worst case so I hope Lightlord is getting better from time to time and he will be fully come back with better condition.

The problem here is that the old users who know about light lord may adjust to the situation but there are new gamblers who sign up on the bitvest and 777coin every day. Also, there are new people who read this thread. They will not get a good impression from the current scenario.

Congrats to Pakistan fans they finally have something to cheer about. WI team who has done so good in his opening matches by defeating top teams like NZ and England has lost its path and lost to weak teams like Bangladesh and Pakistan. The run for semi is still very much on for WI, SA, India, England and NZ.

There have been some inconsistent performances in this world cup. Teams who looked promising against good teams lost to the weak teams which make the points table very interesting. The next few matches are like knock out matches for these five teams. Only the Australian team has managed to win all of their matches and clearly looking to dominate. SA is another team who is undefeated and has shown some exciting performances.
2227  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying goods or services using crypto on: March 21, 2022, 12:19:54 PM
Bitcoin is not declared as legal countries in any country except Salvador ( many more countries are in the pipe line to declare it ) where it is being used to buy goods and services  but it is being traded/mined in many countries of the world and also being used to buy goods and services in many European countries like U.K. Its adaption is progressing very well and in particular in 2021 we have seen massive investment by Institutions which is very good for over health of crypto currencies as it will have vital impact to reduce its volatility which is the major issue of crypto and help to stabilize it.
That's great to hear that countries other than El Salvador are now on their way of doing the same however I do not think the volatility factor is one of the reasons why a country wont legalized a crypto but there maybe other reasons behind it.

Even if cryptos are volatile it is still very functional and we people are the ones that will adjust when volatility strikes and also I do not think adoption can decrease the volatility or can make a crypto stable but the situation can remain the same because in the end people are still buying and selling their coins and not all are going to hodl for a very long time. For the OP, he might want to check out the service section of the forum and the marketplace section if he want to use his crypto.

For sure volatility has play a important factor knowing how fast it pump and how fast it dumps that's why other people have an impression that this is a ponzi scheme since they always see that scenario in the market. But I do believe in future we can see more good adoption even if volatility is there since the one needed by bitcoin right now is more adoption from institutional investor also with government so that other whales can't manipulate it again.

Those who think that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme have no idea about bitcoin. Anyways who is using bitcoin for some time or keeping track of  bitcoin price, should know that bitcoin is never stable and it price fluctuates a lot. There is no harm in accepting bitcoin because you can either sell it instantly at the current price and this way you will not lose money if the price of bitcoin dumps. A better approach can be to hold those bitcoins and they will give you better returns in the future.
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing the previous bear run of Market on: March 21, 2022, 11:19:51 AM
I would like to follow the market trends with great interest and compare the current market price movements after the end of 2021 with previous bearish trends such as the 2018 bear market. I think the cryptocurrency bearish trend may have changed the pattern and took another dimension. . If you've been following the market trends, you've probably noticed that what's happening in the market right now is different from the 2018 downtrend, but yet another sign of a bearish move. What is your opinion

I don't understand whether you are saying we are having a similar bear market of 2018 or this time is different?
As I understand time has changed a lot from 2017/18 till now. Back in the old days, bitcoin was not as popular as it is currently adopted by governments and institutions. Due to the increasing demand and lots of use cases, I think we may not have a multi year bitcoin bear market and at the same time bitcoin may not dump -80%+ from all time high.

If anyone wants to invest in bitcoin, do it now. If you wait for more, there are chances that bitcoin will be more expensive on the coming days. If however, bitcoin dump in the future, then you can also buy again and it will dollar cost average your investment.
Don't be like people who keep on waiting to buy at cheap prices but when bitcoin reaches all time high, they then buy in a panic  Wink
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 21, 2022, 09:16:01 AM
Quote
Tottenham had a solid game against West Ham by defeating them 3-1. Congrats to them on this win and I hope to see it coming more often from now on. Tottenham can increase the current level of the competition for the fourth position now. Arsenal still seem to be the closest team to end the season there but who knows. Everything can change as there are still many weeks to go now. Conte's Tottenham really seems to be promising for next season. But they shouldn't lose their best players and they should make some new additions to the needed positions too.

Indeed, Tottenham performed well in today match by defeated West Ham United 3-1 for the favour of Tottenham team. Tottenham used home advantage to defeated West Ham United 3-1 which was seriously causing a great joy in Tottenham fans. Tottenham team are preparing to step in 4th position in premier league table, where will be difficult for any team to bring them down than to make them moving forward in this tournament. Tottenham coach will do everything possible to make those professionals players happy, so that they can improve more in their next match.
We know that home advantages matters too, but west Ham did play anything good for the second time after break, from initial both side were competing but Tottenham surprised by giving the third goal why my plan is west ham will draw the match because it was Tottenham 2:1west Ham so every body looking after west ham to give more one goal to draw the game until Tottenham made the score three at die minutes

At a time time West Ham was playing well that I was expecting a goal from them, West ham am had chances of scoring but they couldn't make use of the opportunity. Tottenham played a nice game, like I was thinking the match will be a game of draw, but Tottenham performed well to have scored 3 goals.

After Tottenham scored the third goal, there was no chance for West ham to draw the match. With this win, Tottenham has moved ahead of    Man Utd and i am sure that a big set back for the Man Utd fans. Both of them have played 29 matches but Tottenham points have 51 as compared to the Man Utd 50 points.

The truth is that it is clear to Manchester City win. Manchester city is best team in the English Premier league I still wonder why people thinks that's Manchester city can only win by looks.

Don't forget that Liverpool is also showing some great strenght and they can give tough competition to the Manchester City.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Satoshi was dumb on: March 21, 2022, 08:59:31 AM

13 years later, there are many thousands of shitcoins, most of which had some form of premine, made the creators bank and are still in control to a high degree. These shitecoins are worth millions and some even 100s of billions.

Even a genius like Satoshi miscalculated the stupidity, ignorance and greed of the average person

Remember that Satoshi only created bitcoins and no altcoins. Who cares about those shitcoins and if you invest in those altcoins, it's your own fault.
Satoshi has given us the best cryptocurrency, that is Bitcoin. If you invest in other altcoins, don't blame satoshi, blame yourself and your greediness.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 20, 2022, 05:21:51 PM
Or maybe people are not going to see the fight and will not buy the PPV to boycott Russia. I hope they will not be that stupid, they should watch this fight and instead cheer for Canelo to punish Bivol so they can express their disappointment on the brutal actions of Russia.

Ahhh, i wished we could keep politics and war away from sports and boxing but look like it is not going to happen.  Sad

I am not sure if this fight will happen. Although boxing fans are looking ahead for this fight but Bivol is Russian. And there are many chances that like many other sports this match will be cancelled as well. But let's hope for the best. In today's time safety of everyone is important than entertainment.

This fight will go on as plan because of the amount of money involved here. The only thing that some of the people have concern about is the sanctioning of this fight because of Bivol being a Russian. Some don't want this to be a title fight, some want to cancel but the promoters is keen on proceeding whether there is a belt or none as long as Canelo can fulfill what is written on the contract.

The odds are already out from bookies, it means, the likelihood that it will happen is there. Unless, there will be unexpected scenarios here. One is about being Russian of Bivol. But inside the ring, is the race really important? Just like what Arnold Schwarzenegger's said in his viral video for Russians, when he was young, his inspiration was Russian Olympic weightlifter Yuri Vlasov. It didn't matter if his father didn't like him because he was Russian, but he gave him inspiration for the sports. After all, we are all humans on this Earth, just trying to survive. So this match of Alvarez vs Bivol, will test Alvarez how tough he is in going up this weight division.

Canelo is familiar with this weight class, he has fought here once against Kovalev and it's a very tough match for him. But after that Canelo improves so him going again on this weight with Bivol as his opponent might be another difficult fight for him. However, we have seen Alvarez rise to be one of the best boxers in recent memory so this fight is a go and Bivol will be given the green light even if he is a Russian going to fight in US soil.
We never know what it may happen, for example the US may forbid any Russian athletes to perform on their country forcing a relocation of the fight or its cancellation, sponsors may boycott the fight, the US fans of boxing are one of the main consumers of PPV and they may boycott the fight as well, the WBA could avoid sanctioning the fight and as such it would not be a title fight anymore, so when we think about all the things that could happen then we can see the fight could be canceled at any moment.

Lets not speculate things and remain positive until we see any official announcement of the cancellation of this match. This match is to be played on May 07, and by that time the conflict between Ukraine and Russia would be over and things would be normal by then.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 20, 2022, 05:01:18 PM
A lucky goal, Kurt Zouma's own goal put Tottenham ahead in the 9th minute and the score was 1-0, and it was a huge mistake as this match was decisive to overtake fifth-placed Manchester United in the table.
but I'm sure West Ham will definitely score and equalize in the first half.

Does not look so as Tottenham scored another goal under 25 minutes of play making it 2-0 for Tottenham. West Ham needs to be more aggressive now yet make sure they don't convince another goal. A win for Tottenham today will put them in the fifth position putting Manchester United at the sixth.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Educate Dentists To follow Crypto payment methods? on: March 20, 2022, 04:02:16 PM
Health Care Professionals are nowadays growing in accordance with the growth of population. In India initially dental practice was very minimal but now it also reached at maximum heights because of the advancements.Payment modalities also has grown reaching bank transactions even.current strategy is dental practioners if introduce BTC or Eth (or any alt coins) payments for the treatment provided crypto knowledge will reach among lay people too even faster than normal. If it becomes mandatory sure will reach heights both the medico and the society.

Are you talking specifically about Indian dentists? For dentists or anyone to accept bitcoins, it is necessary that bitcoin payments are allowed in your country. As far as i know, the Indian governments and banks discourage the usage of crypto. In this situation, it is very difficult to allow crypto usage and encourage people to pay in cryptocurrencies.

2235  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 20, 2022, 03:48:28 PM
RUSSIA is a 2nd largest country as a oil exporters whole over the world, So definitely this war will be big impact in many others countries even USA imported oil from RUSSIA. This is why there is already a severe oil crisis in many countries. In my country last a few days ago there was no oil in the store and still price is so high. I have noticed that not only oil, but also many other essential commodities have gone up in price but these are not imported from Russia.
it would be wrong if we boycott Russia as a whole because Russian oil and gas are still very much needed by many countries. my country is lucky to be one of the oil producers, so it's not affected by this issue. boycott products from russia, especially their gambling sites, not good imo.
You are very lucky to be in the country which is an oil producer. May God keep your country safe from evil eyes.
The boycott will be affecting everyone - it will not come easy for the owners as well. But we cannot predict what will be coming for in the near future but we are certainly in very dangerous time. Economically in particular.

Boycotting Russian products or gambling sites will not ease things up. This will further create hatred and Russians could be more aggressive towards the war. Instead, let's try the peaceful way, open up all the services, remove all the sanctions from Russians and ask them to solve the issues by talking. Good gestures by the world may do the trick and may bring this fire to a peaceful end.

Bangladesh's performance in the first ODI surprised me. Their performance in today's match has surprised me even more. At the end of 12 overs, Bangladesh collected 34, they lost four valuable wickets. And if they can't build a partnership, they will lose all their wickets before 100 runs. Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur are in the crease. Both are experienced players. Let's see if the team can play well at this bad time.
It is a bag of surprises from Bangladesh and i was happy to see Bangladesh perform like they did in the first ODI but in the second one i knew South Africa will be waiting to smash them but i did not expect Bangladesh to fold like this and in return Quinton de Kock is batting as if he got a huge target to chase striking at over 165 and the match would end pretty fast if it continues like this Cheesy.

Even though Bangladesh started badly but still managed to make 194 runs in the end. Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain and Hasan Miraz helped them scored a decent score. However, in the chase, south Africans are too good and they should comfortably win this match. Quinton de Kock scored 62 and now they should easily win this match unless we see some really bad cricket from the SA. The required run rate is 2.8 with 8 wickets remaining.

While in my own opinion, i will advise for adequate plan which start now, no one knows tomorrow but we all plan for good ahead, take control measures to ensure a proper pick up of your crypto keys by your immediate family anytime death occurs, make something worth traceable to locate having access to your wallet by your wife, child or family.

Even though this has been discussed many times before but there is no perfect solution to this. You may share your private key to someone you trust. It could be your best friend, any relative or your wife, children or siblings. But there is a risk that comes with this. If your relationship gets wrong with any one of the above, they could misuse your coins and spend it or transfer it to themselves.

South Africa VS Bangladesh

After a great victory in the first match, Bangladesh decided to bat after winning the toss in the second match. Now it seems they were overconfident today. Overconfidence is never good. Bangladesh lost two wickets for only 8 runs. Tamim returned to the dressing room with 1 run and Shakib with 0 runs. Mushfiqur and Liton are now at the crease. If they can't prolong the partnership then Bangladesh will lose badly in this match.

Bangladesh did won the first match but this does not mean that they will keep winning all the matches against south africa. The heroes of the first match Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan all of them are out cheaply and i think that bangladesh will put on a modest total today.
For sure, you cant take south african lightly in their home ground, first match was an exception though. I would call that match an upset.

Not a ruble is going to hell. The whole country is going to hell, in which, in the near future, a real collapse and division into many independent states, and I hope with the control of the established authorities. After the new sanctions on hydrocarbons adopted yesterday, Russia no longer has a chance. What you are seeing now is agony. You know, like a person in the final stages of cancer - he seems to be alive and breathing, and even speaks and communicates, but - there is no way back, death is ahead, and there is nothing to help. Just waiting for the final...

That proves that HODLing Bitcoin is good as a hedge. HODLing Bitcoin is not only as a "financial hedge", but as a hedge against the people/leaders in your government in case they make a stupid decision. Cool

Bitcoin has never faced a war situation between the two superpowers before. This means that we cant say with conviction that it will act as a hedge in case this situation developed into a world war. Since bitcoin is currency pegged with the stocks, so if the stocks dump in the world war, then bitcoin will dump too. There is no value for fiat currencies, especially for the country in which the sanctions are proposed and applied. People of russia have no choice but to sell ruble and buy something better like bitcoin.
2240  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic crisis its good on: March 18, 2022, 04:27:05 AM
As things will become cheaper also good to create business as everybody will do cheaper work.
Central banks will hike rates no question it will create huge demand for money so lets not waste our money and use it to buy cheaper things.

Global things what u buying and selling will be more expensive.
Local things cheap cheap houses cheap local food cheap workers.

Real estate will get biggest hit in the world as all real estate is 80% bubble so 80% correction is asap as we all know this.

I think you do not have complete understanding of economic criss. In a crisis, the rates of everything will be high as there will be inflation. The value of your currency will fall. No doubt the real estate rates may decline as people may not have the purchasing power. The people will face loss in their investments and business. Economic crisis is never considered as a good thing.
