1221  Economy / Gambling / Re: chinese bookmakers with tf gaming platform NO KYC on: March 05, 2023, 01:12:38 AM
KYC is like the bouncer at the club, ya know what I mean? It's a necessary evil to keep the riff-raff out of the online gamblin and crypto world. The government's gotta do their part to make sure these industries are runnin' smoothly and ain't involved in any shady money laundering schemes. And yeah, taxes on crypto profits might be a drag, but it's like payin your dues to be part of the club. We gotta embrace the growin' importance of the crypto industry and work towards makin it more accessible to all.

If we do not have black money, if we are not involved in shady activities, and if there is no restriction on gambling in our country, then there is no need to hide the KYC. However, my only concern is that is there any check and balance at the casino end that they will not misuse our KYC documents and sell them to agencies or even on dark web?

Currently, casinos must comply with certain conditions due to licenses or for governmental reasons and that is that they must comply with KYC, if they do not, they can take away the concession or permission to practice, so we as players do not understand that, The fact of setting up a casino company is not easy, for that reason these conditions must be met in order to emerge, it is unfortunate because we all have the idea that casinos that use cryptocurrencies should not demand these conditions, much less kneel before third parties and governments .

Governments always find a way to enforce their demands, that's something I don't like either, those are things that bother me.

We understand that it is more of a government demand that they want casinos to operate with enforcing KYC and casino have to obey them to comply with the local rules but things in China are operated differently. That's why if any bookmaker is able to provide gambling services without enforcing KYC, we should not be surprised.
1222  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: March 04, 2023, 01:25:58 PM
A Bitcointalk forum mobile application should be created, what do you think?
I personally really disagree because when Bitcointalk is integrated into an application I don't think it will be better in the future, and I personally prefer to use a computer to access bitcointalk, yes, even though I sometimes use a cellphone to access bitcointalk, yes, I think why you think you make an application because of experience the display on the cellphone screen is very uncomfortable and like you said most young people use cellphones more often to communicate and socialize compared to PCs or computers but in my opinion it will also be difficult in the end when we will share formulas, scripts or code in threads which we will create in a certain section.

You do not need to disagree with the idea of creating a bitcointalk app. I know most people will continue using bitcointalk on laptop or personal computer but still, there is nothing bad in having an app too. Sometimes an app can be handy if you are on a travel etc and you do not have access to your computer.

I know people will argue that it is difficult to write a post using a mobile but then if you have ever used a trading view app on a mobile it is even more difficult to operate it on mobile, and still they have an app. So I guess it's time that theymos come up with a bitcointalk app .  Smiley
1223  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Local Bitcoin stopped service! on: March 04, 2023, 12:43:15 PM
Do you know why they stopped their service?
I think they just lost too many customers to other exchanges. In addition, the introduction of KYC was certainly the beginning of the end. The whole KYC process has repeatedly led to problems and some users have lost their bitcoins as a result. There are still reports that people could not complete the KYC process and their bitcoins were frozen as a result. Especially now that localbitcoins has ceased operations, these bitcoins are probably lost forever.

Even though localbitcoins used to be really good, the closure will certainly leave a bad taste in the mouth for many people.  Sad

I guess local bitcoin was the early P2P service where people can exchange their fiat money with bitcoin. I also used Local Bitcoin in my initial days when I came to know about bitcoin.
However, later the exchange integrated the P2P system into their exchange, and especially when Binance started their P2P service it was virtually the end of these third party service providers. Why would anyone come to local bitcoin fist, exchange their fiat money for bitcoin and then transfer it to Binance (paying a withdrawal fee too). Binance solved this by introducing its own P2P and making the process simple. Yes, with binance you have to do the KYC but those who trade on binance already have done their KYC.
1224  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 on: March 04, 2023, 06:03:48 AM
I got such a problem where the Owl team took a while but they paid my money properly. In my opinion, the authentic issues they take time to solve it, even if they take more time. This is a good side of them. Moreover, they were moving very fast as a token -based gambling platform, but I have no clear idea of what they have had in recent times. Since any scamming has not yet been visible with their clients, there is no way to comment negatively against them.

So is there any open allegation against them ? None i guess as far as i know. There may be some delay in withdrawals but overall nothing to panic so far. Also, I just keep track of their own token and is also performing well in recent days. You may say it is dumped in the last one or two days but that is because of the bitcoin dump, the whole crypto market is bleeding.

I have been thinking that maybe they are doing this to avoid the trolls, but if that is the case this is a huge mistake as many other casinos also receive a lot of false accusations and yet they do not give up on the forum because of them.

I do think that leaving the forum may not damage the overall reputation of the owl.games site but definitely the gamblers from bitcointalk will certainly not like this act and may refrain from playing at this site.
1225  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Ministry of Finance approved the creation of a CBDC in the United States on: March 04, 2023, 05:18:14 AM
....
People usually save taxes while having their wealth in tether, don't know why they will keep their money in government issued stable coins.
If the choices are only between the two then why not? It's probably more secure to use the digital fiat issued by Governments than let a privately owned company control your wealth. Let's not forget that USDT is not really decentralized and can still be frozen by Tether at anytime even if it's stored in you non-custodial wallet.

I am talking in terms of taxes. If you put all your stable coins in government issued CBDC, government can easily know if you are paying tax on them or not. Many people haven't declared their crypto assets to the government and when suddenly they transfer their wealth in CBDC, it will raise questions as to where this wealth came from and why it was kept hidden for all those years.

Yes, moving forward if you have fiat money and you want to convert it into digital currency, it is far better to use CBDC than the tether. Also, when every country has their own CBDC, the role of paper money will be limited.
1226  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: March 04, 2023, 04:58:27 AM
What I see is that Forbes is spreading lies, misinformation, and FUD towards Binance, and Forbes is trying hard to rank FTX with Binance, but they are entirely different; I'm not a fan of CZ or any centralized platform, but what I see is that his tweet thread about this FUD that Forbes posted is enough to prove to the community Forbes' malicious intentions against Binance and the Chinese race of CZ. Forbes wants its name to be spread on social media and remains the talk of the masses because of these accusatory questions about Binance and misunderstanding of the facts. It profits from millions of visits to its site by Binance users and from their purchase of Forbes Premium Membership because I see that Forbes is the only opponent for Binance other than other news sites.

No matter how hard the Forbes try to rank FTX with Binance, they can't succeed. FTX is already gone with the people's money but if you remember, there were record withdrawals from Binance at that time, but they survived and were able to process all the withdrawals. This event made Binance even more trustworthy.

For us, we should never trust Binance 100% and always keep the funds out of the exchange. Yes, for trading Binance is a good platform but once you are done with the trade always move your funds out to minimize the risk.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Caution Newbies Bitcoin is BTC on: March 03, 2023, 05:16:04 AM
When anyone has no idea about bitcoin and crypto, he can easily become the victim of scams and this is what is happening with your friend. You can only warn him but if he still not agree with you, only time will prove that he was wrong.
That is why there are so many crypto scams in the industry and the main reason why people lose money in crypto is their own ignorance.

He was of the view that since BFIC was advertised on national TV, it is a real coin and Bitcoin is just a clone or a scam.  Sad
He was not agreeing with me as he said if bitcoin was real, then it would have been showing at the PSL matches and not this coin.

So what happened in the end ? Did he agree to you or trusted the media? By the way, the media never said it is Bitcoin, it clearly says it is Bficoin. So you cannot also blame the media is wrongly projecting bitcoin.
1228  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Ministry of Finance approved the creation of a CBDC in the United States on: March 03, 2023, 03:45:06 AM
https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/jy1314
March 1, 2023
"In summary, U.S. policymakers are still evaluating whether a U.S. CBDC is in the national interest.  To advance further work and support the Federal Reserve’s efforts, evaluation, Treasury is leading an interagency CBDC Working Group to develop recommendations related to the implications of a U.S. CBDC for policy objectives for which a broader Administration perspective is helpful: global financial leadership; national security; and privacy, illicit finance, and inclusion.  Even as these deliberations continue, we recognize the importance of helping to shape global CBDC outcomes by actively participating in global standard setting initiatives and by sharing technology and technical expertise with other jurisdictions that are developing CBDCs."

I don't know if the central bank digital currency implementation is a good idea or not ? Even though the CBDC will be recognized and accepted world wide but the control of CBDC will still be in the hand of the government/banks. They can print any number of digital coins and it will not be a hedge against bitcoin.

Yes, people may keep their wealth in CBDC's and not in the currently used stable coins like USDT or USDC But we need to know how much CBDC is centralized. People usually save taxes while having their wealth in tether, don't know why they will keep their money in government issued stable coins.
1229  Other / Meta / Re: Unban request, I was banned for copying my own text on: March 03, 2023, 02:46:30 AM
I also support the unban request, there is no doubt on my part that this was just a minor accident. This ban appeal is also made by the original topic poster.

This is one of those appeals which should be listened to as it is a genuine case and there no hint of cheating here.

Maybe it is the mention of some of the moderators to pay attention to your appeal. Only one of them can unban your account.
For example, Cyrus or hilariousandco

Let's see when they unban this account or how much time they would take to unban. Perhaps a PM to the mods may help. Global moderator needs to do this job as asked by xandry on Feb 26.
Its still banned as checked here https://bpip.org/Profile?id=3534725

Can someone of the global moderators to unblock his account? Hill.money https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3534725

1231  Economy / Reputation / Re: WatChe and MusaPk Alt?! on: March 02, 2023, 03:16:50 PM
I just checked all my active campaigns and found none have any clause about multi account LOL. It's a so common practice on the forum that I never thought to put something about it before, but now I see there is a need or people will use it as a hole. I took a note for myself to add the clause from the next payday of the campaigns. Thanks for pointing it.

It is understood that Multi accounts are not allowed in any campaign whether you write it in the rules explicitly or not. However, having written in the rules gives the manager an edge as the applicant can't challenge that there was no such rule in the campaigns and therefore, they enroll their alt accounts.

For normal participants in bounty companies, the rule, even if it is not announced, goes without saying, but for cheaters, this is a green light.

Yes, this is exactly what i was saying above. No written rule about multi account can be used as an excuse by the cheaters (applicants) and sometime may even save them from getting tagged.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is the most valuable thing on: March 01, 2023, 11:50:13 PM
I have lived most of my life working all day, the only free day I have is on Sundays, whenever I promised my cousins a visit on holidays I always fail, I have no time to go on holidays and I always end up making less money, with all the hard work.

Many people are into crypto for materialistic things, like cars, houses, etc but the best Gift I have attained from Bitcoin investment is free time, to live my life, finally.

Bitcoin investment makes me feel alive once again, after so many years of a nonstop workaholic life, now I have enough time to think, travel, rest, go on holidays, spend time with families and still make more money than I used to when I was a workaholic.

Now I can do everything I have always wanted, time is not on anyone's side and if you spend all your days on some hard jobs working and working you won't notice how fast time is running and you will age so fast in the process.

I remember I got so sick after going from one job to another, I ended up spending a lot of money on my health, I got so thing and my immune system got drained too, you might end up making millions and spending half of that to get back in shape, always remember, health is wealth.

Whatever you do, make sure you live your life like someone who is truly alive and breathing, if you are in any hard jobs that's draining your life away right in front of your eye, you need to put a stop to it.

I want all the good flashy things in life but the best gift I have now is free time, and Bitcoin makes this possible, I don't know about others and I can't talk for others but, to me, Bitcoin is Freedom.

As I understand this, you invested your money in bitcoin and because of high return on investment in bitcoin you do not have to do any other work and therefore you have a lot of free time. Is it as I am thinking?

I guess you are lucky in a way that you had money for investment while there are people who still have to earn money in order to buy bitcoin. Anyways I agree that having bitcoin save you from inflation and your  finicial future is secure.
1233  Other / Meta / Re: what should a newbie do 1st on this forum? on: March 01, 2023, 04:43:56 PM
I am still confused, what is the ideal brand-new or newbie account to do 1st before creating any post and thread?

1. Create bitcoin address and stake it here: Stake your Bitcoin address here
2. going to Beginners & Help and learning all about forum on sticky post

Because when staking the address, the newbie account must have a bitcoin wallet where that information has on sticky post.

As I feel, many members here don't know anything about bitcoin, they don't know how to create a bitcoin wallet, but very experienced with metamask and trust wallet, which I think is a very strange person in the world.

This question is too much subjective and the answer varies from person to person. The key point is that a Newbie on bitcointalk may not necessarily mean that he is newbie in the crypto world. There can be chances that he knows well about bitcoin and now he discovers this forum and make an account here. In this case, he will already have an bitcoin address and can do stuff like staking it. However, a newie who is totally new, he may not find staking bitcoin address easy initially.

I guess the first thing which any type of user should do on this forum is to read the rules of the forum and get aquatinted with it.
1234  Other / Meta / Re: Urgently need a sub-forum for Bangladesh. 200+ pages since 2014. on: March 01, 2023, 04:07:14 PM
It is true  that in the last 5-6 months Bangladesh topic is the most active one (with Pakistan) in Other Languages/Locations section. As a matter of fact, when you compare it with other communities that have their own local board, Bangladesh still doesn't look bad. Since I wanted to support those communities that are kinda neglected, I included few of them in monthly overview of local board activity from October overview, and will keep including them from now on.

As i remember correctly, for the last few weeks Pakistan's local thread members were demanding the local board and now I see Bangladesh looking for a local board. Seems like Nigeria got its local board recently and now other community members also demanding local boards.

With the amount of effort and work these communities are doing, I guess it's high time that a few more local boards needs to be created for those who are already active like this Bangladesh thread.
1235  Economy / Gambling / Re: shame on the stake on: March 01, 2023, 03:05:03 PM
good evening everyone. Today I ran into a problem that made me ashamed of such a well-known casino as Steak.

The site name is "STAKE" and not "steak". Also, can you tell me how much amount did you bet so we know how much money we are taking about here?

Please you will have to follow up with stake support and if the large is a result of their networks, they have to pay you cahs also note that most of the casinos have their T&C that may not allow have your cash out but just keep us updated on how it goes.

Also, i wish if OP could move this thread to scam accusation or should have posted this in the stake ANN thread so as to notify the stake team. I want to see how stake will take up this matter and what are their say about this unfortunate situation.
1236  Economy / Gambling / Re: WINZ.IO 🚀 WELCOME BONUS: 300 FREE SPINS 🎁 $45K CANDYLAND QUEST 🍭🍭🍭 on: February 28, 2023, 04:44:36 PM
Maybe that's why he doesn't come back to this thread anymore to tell whether he managed to claim the freespin or not and because his complaint has appeared for more than 10 days then it's no longer an issue, and as you said freespins from deposit bonuses are always credited instantly and I followed it several times without encountering any obstacles

There are 3 possibilities in this case IMO,
First is that he received the bonus already but he forgot to confirm it here
Second is that he did not know how it works and maybe he did something wrong so he is not eligible for the bonus.
Last which is the worst case possibility is that he did not even make a deposit (just for the sake of posting).

I would rekon that he got the bonus and did not care to respond back. This is what most people do is that they complain if there is something wrong but never care to tell if the team has fixed the issues.
People do not understand that this gives bad impression to the site as it feels that the issue is not resolved when it is usually not. I think he should come back and reply if the issue was resolved or if there was some misunderstanding about the bonus.
1237  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Freelance work on: February 28, 2023, 02:38:20 PM
Currently looking for web development work. I'm a full stack engineer with 2 years of experience around web development, whether that be front end or back end.

Recently I have mostly done contract work on shopify and wix from scratch

Let me know if you need anything done, the specifications and we can go from there Grin

By looking at your work, you seem to be a good developer. Why don't you try your luck on freelancer websites and also offer your services at fiverr.com ?

Also, i would suggest that you should have your own portfolio website as this is the need of the time to stand out among the competition.
1238  Economy / Gambling / Re: My list of good crypto casinos on: February 28, 2023, 02:55:56 AM
It's because the OP's list probably came from his search through the internet, which many of us don't know about, so we have to find out more about the site one by one.
But the OP should be able to explain his experience playing on that site so we can find out too.
He just provides his referral link on his site, and he hopes to get more people to join through his referrals.
Maybe the site can be recognized by people who know the site through search engines, but these people don't know whether the casino sites on the website can be trusted and have a good reputation or not.
This is what can fool beginners in the absence of a more detailed explanation from the OP.

As I have experienced, most of these "Good Crypto Casino" or "Best Crypto Casino" sites do not list the best or most popular casino's.

Most of them are made to get referral links or even some may promote scam casinos so people deposit money in those casinos and they never let you withdraw.

I even doubt that one or more of the top casino lists may contain the site owned by the OP himself. Instead of following the list which OP provided, I would rather search myself as which casinos are worth playing at and which casinos should be avoided.
1239  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GETINTOPC BIGGEST SCAM SITE on: February 28, 2023, 02:35:35 AM
Website: https://getintopc.com/
Amount Hacked: 1k$
Type of Hacking: keyboard, Wallet access, Gmail, twitter and all other data access

Today i am sharing my personal experience from one of the biggest scam site which offer free Software Crack and registration key. If you need any kind of paid software for free then you will find this only in Getintopc. All other websites appears in google search will not give you real key or crack. you will download files more than 300 mb and it will give error but Gentintopc provide 100% real software. This is the biggest reason when you search any free Software, you will find Getintopc on the top

If you install these softwares and cracked, it will change your registry and at first your keyboard will be hacked. whenever you make any transactions, it will show same address that you input but you will realize it change from original one when Metamask approved prompt appear

Its not end here but these softwares contain malicious virus which will completely reveal your data to hacker. Hacker will have full access to your Gmails, telegram, twitter etc. in short your full system will be hacked.

I would blame you first and then we can talk about the scammer site getintopc. First of all, why did you use the same computer to put all of your wallets and other software in the same machine ? You should have a separate system for your wallets (if you do not have hardware wallet).

i have saved all phrases in my personal Gmail

This is an even bigger biggger mistake on your part. We should never store our private key phrases online. Many people store keys phrases on gmail or on cloud based services thinking they are secure. Think for a moment that these cloud based services are centralized and someone from the cloud storage provide team can see any file store on these servers.
Keep your phrases offline and never store them online.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: February 27, 2023, 07:27:05 PM
If it weren't for people using cryptocurrencies as assets and making online payments, the world would be a very underdeveloped place. The subject has been thought about countless times because some people choose to trade online using an exchange rather than working a physical job and paying their bills for close to a decade. I'm very grateful to Satoshi Nakamoto for creating Bitcoin in 2008; look at where it is now; its growth and popularity have increased with good profits. With the help of bitcoin, I've accomplished important things in my life, and there are still more on the horizon.

It's very hard to imagine a world which is without bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Crypto has become a major part of our life and we will not feel good without it. Life would seem empty without bitcoins.

For a moment think of a world without internet ? It is beyond imagination. Although crypto is not fully adopted yet and many people never use bitcoin but still it is hard to believe that there can be a time when there would be no crypto currencies.
