I'll attempt a chargeback if there isn't some communication soon. I just dislike the practice as It's been used to steal from me in the past. It's only $470 and Dave said recently he was getting started on refunds again. I'll give it till Monday, then look into the process with my bank.

Thanks Dave. My BTC address is in my sig.

Please put an end to this ridiculous drama. Order #1345.

On a more positive note, I've gotten one of the two new GPUs up and running. We're seeing right around 1900MH/s total. The increase will be partially reflected in today's dividend payment.

Cheers.

i really did not see that coming. maybe the early refund was indeed a good decision Tongue

since bASIC is out of business, wouldn't it be time to discuss a new strategy? any suggestions?

@creativex: how is BASIC_MINING's refund doing? was it processed already?

I guess so. I thought Tom would get it together, but apparently it wasn't meant to be.

I've received no word on the refund yet, either BTC or CC.

As to strategy going forward, well I guess that's something we'll have to work out with these events unfolding. I believe Avalon is set to begin shipping their 2nd batch in early March, so that's probably our next best opportunity to receive an ASIC mining gizmo. We should see more information on exactly what their unit's capabilities are in the very near future.

This is pretty suspect seeing how Tom was claiming 90% + refunds. Is this bASIC thing going to end up a massive scam in the end?
Possibly, although I fell if it was going to be a scam then Tom would not have refunded that much with CC and just went into hiding.

Have you requested chargebacks for the CC? Chargeback.

It's one charge. One upgrade from a 27 to 54Gh unit was charged, a total of $470. The initial order($599) was paid with BTC. This is still listed as "Ready To Ship" on BTCFPGA's website. I have not initiated a chargeback.

This is the only order we have with BTCFPGA.

It'd be tough to figure out where to start with fraud charges against ASIC vaporware vendors.

What does Rosie O'Donnell have to do with this? Huh

The company's 7770s are scheduled to arrive today. Time permitting I will have them up and hashing this evening. Smiley
How many did you buy? I thought you bought only one?

Nope, there was enough to pick up two at that price, somehow they got shipped from two different places and I only have one at this time.

Daily dividend of 0.25977071 paid to 1432 shares. A bit earlier than usual today due to time constraints.

For the record
1.  We've refunded a lot more than 200k - a LOT more.  Several times that amount.
2.  There is a delay for refund requests - they sit in my email inbox until I can work through them.  Each one is a little work-task that can take a few minutes or even 15 minutes.  I have every combination of combined orders, part CC/part BTC order, "refund only half my order", re-requests, no details provided, "please refund, wait don't refund, now refund again", the list goes on.  Our order system has to be updated as well. Its a slow process to do it right.
3.  I've had a shit-ton of personal and business things happen over the last week and a half that have conspired to slow me down with processing the emails.  I can fly through the CC refunds quicker at least, then follow up with the remainder of BTC refunds for Tom.

Sorry for the weak excuses - I mean them to be explanations.

Best,
Dave

Thanks for the update Dave, you've been the voice of reason out of BTCFPGA for some while now.

Seems you've been doing that since you began (mis)representing BFL. I haven't bought any of it thanks.

Cheers.

The market loses its speed or it is just me?

It's not just you, momentum is slowing/shifting. I'm taking $$$ off the table.

I sold @ 17.40~17.50... Nice move? FEAR... ehhehe   Grin

I like it. There'll be resistance at $18 anyway and that will be a good point to re-evaluate strength. Meanwhile you book some profits.

Excellent thank you sir egomaniac, but then I've always enjoyed a decent glass of pinot noir.

(I may know of a guy in the NY area who may have a bunch of 1000W SeaSonic power supplies he will be needing to unload.  Not that Avalon will need 1000W.)

IC what you did there. Tongue

They've mentioned waiting till after CNY somewhere. Avalon remains the class act of the ASIC vendors.

Shipment of batch 2 will be after CNY.  I think they will take orders before then though.  I would guess around the first or second week of Feb.

Thanks, I knew that at some point in the past from reading the Glari thread, must have killed a few brain cells since. Cheesy

You do know that when someone posts it moves the thread up in the latest unread posts list right? It's not all about you, seek help bud.

Perhaps you, your pal over at bullshido and the vleisides thief can all do group therapy together. Sure you can pay with funds stolen from retirees.
