is this the start of the way down?
the last time bitcoin was so overbought it when down in a panic sell

the question is when bull will take profits ? if taking profits happen all at once boom crash

honestly how can people not be shitting their pants?

I'm not sure. I have this lurking feeling of danger, this fucking fear in my head that says: the longer the wait the bigger the dump.

However, let me draw a picture that is maybe more rational:

  • News has been good since around the London Conference
  • As I argued before, it takes time for good news to attract big buying
  • Now the sizeable buyers are coming in good numbers streched out over quite long periods of time
  • Hence price goes up, up, up as evidenced.
  • The "natives" (us) have been fearfully selling on the way up (at least some). Not dumping, but selling a bit here, a bit there, hoping for the big dump that so reliably happened in the past
  • So the money is changing hands! (duh!)

What if these new hands are strong?

There is reason to believe that, no? These guys are hoping for 1000% rise, not for 50% or 100% (Bitcoin is penny stock for them: "look at that inassesible risk, tiny market and mind-boggling potential"). And if some of the early ones have been selling, the probably only did it to get back in at a higher price.

What if these new hands are strong? Well, if that's so and we go to >$100 this year then we will have given them our hard-earned coins for cheap and we will look mighty stupid.

this cracks me up. tears in eyes. never fails.

Quote from: Anth0n
The top is whenever the single large buyer who is driving the price up stops buying.

who? I doubt this theory of a single large buyer.

Sold half. You know. So I don't feel so bad when it hits $100.

That's a good plan. Buy more if it goes down or be happy about $100  Wink

If you sell half every time it goes up $1 you're going to be pretty bitcoin-less at $100.

I disagree and it is not even close.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

32 USD is far more reasonable than 2 USD for something with the potential like bitcoin. We've had an inverted bubble for a long time. This is the correction.

Because anybody can see that 0.3 --> 32 is a smaller increase than 5-->17 , right?

Actually this is not entirely true. It is more like saying 0.06 --> 32 is a smaller increase than 5--> 17.
