2241  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: August 07, 2016, 12:27:28 PM
In 20 years Bitcoin should be about 1 million per coin, that would be enough for me to retire by selling 50% and enjoying passive income from bank interest, of course assuming that banks still exist by then and the system has not completely collapsed.
2242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 07, 2016, 12:25:44 PM
The worst part of this is the fact that a lot of people that lost their funds on Bitfinex will never come back to Bitcoin because they will be too frustrated to deal with it. This is why we need a solution for this mess that centralized exchanges are.
2243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 06, 2016, 03:26:20 PM
I have already a winner for next year's champions. What you ask? Well simple, Real Madrid will win. Ronaldo is very motivated now thanks to finally winning the Eurocup which was giving him nightmares about retiring without a national tittle. Now he has it and he can focus better. Benzema and the rest are in top shape. Real will dominate I think.
2244  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 2016 Summer Olympics - Bitcoin Betting on: August 06, 2016, 03:01:24 PM
Im not sure about this since I only do football and fighting bets, but I guess safe bets are russian girls will dominate in gymnastics, tennis section djokovic rafa and selena for females, running bolt (I dont know if he is even here).
2245  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: August 06, 2016, 02:53:09 PM
Segwit, schnorr sigs, confidential transactions, coinjoin, mimblewimble, bitcache, fibre.... too many improvements and great news for Bitcoin. Anyone that didn't buy this last dip must have brain damage. 2017 will be the year where we destroy the last ATH.
2246  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does sending Bitcoins feel good? on: August 06, 2016, 02:32:37 PM
It actually feels bad because you see your total BTC amount go down. What feels great and its an instant dopamine rush is seeing the notification message of "incoming funds" and see your total BTC go up. I love that Cheesy
2247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: August 06, 2016, 02:29:17 PM
If a mixer receives coins that are from a known theft, as far as I know they remain neutral to the whole thing and limit themselves to do their job (mix the coins). There are certain sites like Helix that as far as I know are fully automatized, run on a onion tor website and deliver clean coins, after that I would say it's impossible to find, so he would proceed to sell in exchanges. Of course if he isn't a total idiot, he will not dump and will sell slowly so he doesn't get caught.

So in this situation... how can they find them? I wish they find them and people can recover funds but what if he runs coins through mixers?
2248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think guys the hack bitcoin from bitfinex still not sold? on: August 06, 2016, 02:24:12 PM
They can't move them or sell them.

Other exchanges would freeze the dirty coins. They'll likely just sit there unused.

Exactly! Just like all those other dirty coins.

Lol the "Stone man loss" thing is a very small amount. That would be impossible to find out once run through a mixer then sold. No problem in doing this with any amount to be honest, you would need just a lot of time and pay fees to mixers. As far as I know mixers don't care if the coins they receive are from a thieft.
2249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 06, 2016, 02:20:28 PM
Maybe a way to hold FIAT tokens in a payment channel once we have lightning network that in case something happens automatically returns funds to investors? We need to think fast to come up with ways to decentralize exchanges soon.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEMBERS OF ETHEREUM TO RETURN ETC TO DAO INVESTORS PETITION on: August 06, 2016, 02:11:09 PM
Sorry, DAO was a disaster that spread across ETH, now they are trying to save face claiming the fork was a good idea when everyone knows they fucked up big, big time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGGW9ozE-ys

Excellent video to see both sides of the coin, and ETC objectively wins the debate.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Creator: Interest in ETC ‘Coming from the Bitcoin Side’ on: August 06, 2016, 02:00:33 PM
Anybody could have been the DAO hacker but the inside job theory is not to be taken lightly. Who else would know the code better than the authors themselves? I don't discard the theory that Stephan's crew is involved. In any case ETH is damaged and ETC is the answer even if ETH whales are trying everything possible to stop it, it refuses to go down.
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Complete Story of Ethereum so far on: August 06, 2016, 01:58:29 PM
@pereira4

Do NOT forget Butters admitted publicly to dumping 25% of his "holdings" a while back.
And people have tried to say he did it while the coin was about $6 each
..which is bullshit.
Which amounts to 1 million dollars $$$ he TOLD YOU ALL he dumped on you !

AND !

Where the fuck did he get that 25% and the other 75% waiting to be dumped ?

Care ?
Of course you guys don't.. ICO ? Scam ?
Who gives a shit.. will it make me profit ?

Then you all line up to scream and chant.. TAKE MY MONEY NOW !

It's funny how those ETH bagholders will defend anything Vitalik says or does.
Vitalik dumps 25% of his holdings? Cool.
Vitalik hard forks to bailout himself and other deep pocket dev investors? Cool.
Vitalik demands exchanges to stop all trading so people can't sell? Cool.

The cult mentality behind Vitalik and the shit-tier developers in ETH is a case of study.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGGW9ozE-ys

Andreas and Charles totally destroyed that Martin moron guy. I like Charles much more than Vitalik, he is down to earth and more mature and less autistic. ETH fundamentals are doomed and the coin only lives in the innertia that it has built thus far.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 20: Holm vs. Shevchenko Prediction and Info Thread on: August 05, 2016, 04:06:45 PM
I think that if none of the girls start a big reign of win streaks the UFC will have a hard time creating an unbeatable type of girl like when Rousey was undefeated. They had this in the HW division with Bones Jon Jones and now that he has tested positive again his legacy is already dead, he will never be that unbeatable guy because he has that aura of a cheater.
I'm beginning to think that when Rousey is on her winning streak the opponents are filtered or selected so that they will gain attention. Rousey is a good choice to promote womens UFC because she has a nice looking face but scary when she looks serious.

Well I think Miesha Tate looks better, she is hot and can fight but I think she has also had a period of being overrated. I think she should just retire and go the mainstream cinema route just like Gina Carano did after her first lose.
2254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bullish - Megaupload to implement BTC microtransactions on: August 05, 2016, 03:45:11 PM
It seems Max Keiser is involved too with his start coin thing. Apparently you will be able to buy some sort of shares in an initial share offer or something. I may buy some because at the end of the day Kim Dotcom is huge and anything he touches will go to the moon.
2255  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: August 05, 2016, 03:12:21 PM
Supply and demand is the only control of the price, and the market is now big enough that it is really difficult to manipulate. Of course, when big "hacks" like what we saw with Bitfinex happen, we see massive sellouts and that depends on one or a small group of people. Hopefully in the future we can find a way to replace centralized exchanges because this can't keep going on forever.
2256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bullish - Megaupload to implement BTC microtransactions on: August 05, 2016, 03:07:21 PM
Yeah I already commented on this, its really bullish and we will see a massive price rise once this is ready. The thing is, massive amounts of micro transactions will not be possible until lightning network is operative so it will be a while until we see this released.
Did you mean one would see a massive price increase in the bitcoin rates on this day ?I call that bullshit. It's just another application of bitcoin, nothing fancy. You can't come to the conclusion unless you know the architecture of their system works. As said, wait for further updates.

This man is just money hungry, he needs money to maintain his millionaire life. So he thought, what's the best way to earn money without implying the government? Oh right, Bitcoin is nice.
As long as he is promoting bitcoins,I'm cool with that.Atleast they're not trying to come up with another shitcoin for secure and encrypted file storage.Doubt he is doing that for money as he is quite sure bitcoin prices highly fluctuate and involves risks.

It IS really fancy. He has talked about "Bitcache" too and he claims that this fixes the blocksize solution... this is huge news but I dont trust it until I see the code.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 05, 2016, 02:58:32 PM
You can't keep telling people to not store BTC in exchanges. If you are a trader you NEED BTC disposable in the exchange to act fast, otherwise how are you supposed to trade?

We need decentralized exchanges so the guy running the exchange doesn't own all the BTC from everyone. Bitsquare type of exchange is not a solution, that is a marketplace and not an exchange.
2258  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: August 05, 2016, 02:49:40 PM
We need to replace exchanges that require centralization, but the problem is, how are you supposed to decentralize exchanges that work with fiat too? I don't see a solution for this.
2259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Kim Dotcom Predict 2000$ per Bitcoin ??!! on: August 05, 2016, 02:22:17 PM
Well megaupload was as mainstream as it gets. Now mega is also really mainstream. If he creates a service that incentivize people to upload stuff with bitcoin payments it will be huge and it can indeed launch bitcoin to the next level. I cant wait for January to see what he has planned.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for the "ETC being moved by hacker" FUD on: August 04, 2016, 02:00:15 PM
And it's real. ETC doesn't have neither currency potential for many reasons, one would be difficulty bomb and the fact that it's still in beta. And it doesnt have dapp / contract potential since, for the same reason, it's still beta and it doesnt have developers. And even if it had, they would need months if not years to fully understand ethereum as good as ethereum foundation / buterin does, since he/they are it's creators/inventors. And assuming an elite team of programmers /developers join ETC, they simply dont have time. In less than 6 months they have to implement POS, so there's no time. And if they decide to hardfork and continue POW as a currency / payment system, it wont be any better than the existing ones ,maybe only better than old ones like BTC, because it wasn't designed with featues that would boost it's price if it were a currency only. So you see the problem now ?
As a currency only / payment system it would be on the same level at best if not behind shitcoins like monero or dash.

Dude you are clueless. One of the main developers in ETH is already working in ETC:
https://twitter.com/gavofyork/status/757197495801880576?

So please, drop the FUD. Oh by the way, the guys that claim ETC is "criminal coin", why don't you sell your BTC? Since BTC doesn't hard fork over money being stolen as well.
