2241  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase blackout on: May 14, 2022, 12:36:56 PM
I guess people are finally becoming aware that their coins stored on an exchange are never safe as long as you hold them on an exchange.
I think Coinbase rolled out this announcement at a wrong time since the market is currently in a down trend.
People are in a panic already and this statement by Coinbase would have made people kind of paranoid.
The best thing for people to do is hold the coins on a non-custodial wallet but before doing that make sure you have enough knowledge about wallets and private keys.
2242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Coping Strategy for Bitcoin Price Crash on: May 14, 2022, 12:25:46 PM
There's a reason why they say that "Only invest what you can afford to lose" and the current situation is pretty much why they keep saying this.
But seeing bitcoin give massive returns people tend to ignore it's history. Even though bitcoin gets us some nice profits there are times like this where it's a bloodbath.
People have to keep this in mind at all times and invest accordingly. This is how volatile bitcoin is and this is how crypto behaves.
My current strategy and probably most of the others' as well is to HODL strong and keep buying at dips to enjoy the profits in the long run.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Suspend Terra LUNA Coins! on: May 14, 2022, 11:58:20 AM
Yes, it's already done. Binance has delisted all the pairs of Luna and UST from the exchange.
So LUNA is officially non-tradable on binance. Crypto community is witnessing something never happened before.
The collapse of a whole ecosystem in a matter of few days.
Maybe you should check the latest tweet from Binance, they have restored trading for the luna coin and that means they have resumed listing to be added back in the spot trade, but I'm really looking forward to the latest news from Terra as they plan to burn 70% of the total supply.

As far as I know, restored trading for the luna coin is due to investors' desire to convert Luna to other assets so Binance decided to restore it.
Before that, terra announced that they give up luna to save ust and they increased luna supply to 700 billion luna making the price of this coin almost zero and now they claim to use the rest of LFG's funds to buy back Luna and burn them. Now be sober don't believe anything from scammers.

You are right. Even though Binance has started the trading pair for LUNA again it doesn't mean we should go and buy it.
Nobody in their right mindset will think to "invest" in LUNA again. The only people buying LUNA will be traders to gain short term profits.
LUNA is pretty much collapsed and any attempt to revive the coin will just be in vain because people have lost faith in it.

So you bet twice on the same coin ? Now that's a different strategy. Why not place the bet in the last week itself ?
Although it won't give the early bet benefits but it will give a better speculation on what the price could be.
I generally place my bets on last 2 days of the countdown.

Yes, me too, but I though it could be good to get a slightly bigger part of prize because of time weight multiplier. You know, early birds has some extra gain.
Of course it is too early to say something definitively, as we are in the middle of month, but we may limit our bets to 1,2, max 3 ranges. And odds are so good now, it is worth to take a chance, imho.

Yeah that's right. Time weight multiplier is indeed a great benefit but at the same time placing the bets at the last moment is more beneficial than time weight multiplier in my perspective.
There are two major benefits betting in the last moment. One is that we get a better speculation on the price since there are only few days left.
Second is that since the odds keep decreasing everyday we can decide better whether betting on a particular range is worth it or not.
But I am not telling that we shouldn't bet early because that's the user's choice ofcourse.

How much time does it take for the medal to reflect in our profile ?
I just completed the requirement for the medal "Talkative" where we have to chat for 200 days.
Today is the 200th day and I thought I will receive the medal as soon as I send a text in the chat.
Although the requirement is completed the medal doesn't show up in my profile.

2246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Involved in LUNA SCAM on: May 13, 2022, 04:15:00 PM
Binance and many other exchanges are SCAMEERS they are INVOLVED with LUNA SCAM
They didn't delist till it drop to ZERO even that they know LUNA devs was creating
more supply and dumping in their Platforms those platforms just trying to collect more
FEES and don't care about the investors

What do you think Binance is supposed to do ?
If Binance stops the trading and delist the coin immediately then how would the other users be able to sell their coins ?
If Binance would have delisted the coin right away then it would have caused a huge disaster.
The users would be furious towards Binance for not allowing them to sell while the coin was dumping.
2247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Anyone Think Luna Will Recover? on: May 13, 2022, 12:35:52 PM
Damn, never expected many to sacrifice their life savings for Do Kwon's pocket.

Just going to Reddit and seeing those "I lost everything" posts is already depressing enough.
yeah reminds of the 2017 bubble finally popping, seeing big crypto projects vanish and tons of people losing their money is devastating

but, to answer OP's question, this coin is dead, binance delisting Luna was the final nail in the coffin

there are some people saying that Luna are planning to do a rollback? sounds crazy, but it's probably just users trying to cope

That feels like Deja Vu. The 2017 bubble popping up in 2018 was indeed disastrous.
I am just concerned about those people who lost their money completely in this LUNA crash.
Many of those people would now lose faith on crypto as a whole and may be never invest in any cryptocurrency.
There's nothing we can do from our side as well. We can just give our moral support because so many people lose their money.
Luna was one of the top 10 coins and such a thing happening to one of the top 10 coins is really defaming crypto.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Suspend Terra LUNA Coins! on: May 13, 2022, 12:24:46 PM
I believe maybe bianance will delist LUNA because there is no hope anymore, many have been victimized by LUNA then maybe we should be more careful in choosing coins for investment

Yes, it's already done. Binance has delisted all the pairs of Luna and UST from the exchange.
So LUNA is officially non-tradable on binance. Crypto community is witnessing something never happened before.
The collapse of a whole ecosystem in a matter of few days.

This isn't good moment to make the prediction for this round. Bitcoin price is fully unpredictable now. The situation is too complicated now and it will be hard to predict where Bitcoin price will reach in next few days. Currently the highest amount of bets has been made on 32.5k to 35k price range.

Maybe what we see are very early bets, from the beginning of May?
Anyway, I placed my bets (not so big) on rather low price, for serious betting I will wait one more week.

So you bet twice on the same coin ? Now that's a different strategy. Why not place the bet in the last week itself ?
Although it won't give the early bet benefits but it will give a better speculation on what the price could be.

2250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Still Supporting And Playing On Newly Launch Casinos on: May 13, 2022, 12:04:33 PM
There's nothing wrong with trying new things, who knows luck is on the site for us, but don't be too trusting by putting a lot of money on the site, before Credibility has really been tested for real.

That's right actually. There's always more room to grow and gambling industry certainly has one.
While we are already enjoying gambling these days many gambling sites get launched every week.
They offer a variety of bonuses and promotions but we have to be sure not to put a large amount in new sites because of the obvious scams.
Trying them out with small amounts and wait for them to be established should be the strategy for everyone.

There's nothing wrong with supporting that gambling platform just recently released because we know that those are the ones who have a lot of events and giveaway to their new users such as the deposit bonus, free spins and etc. Also this is good supporting them we can see if they really care with their users at the same time we are giving a review to the platform itself at the same time give an insight those new comers would like to join with the community itself.

Ofcourse there's nothing wrong in supporting newly launched gambling platforms.
It's just that we should be careful enough while trying out these new platforms.
In fact many platforms are created so that they can scam new users.
Which is again why many people try them out with small amounts and then leave reviews about them on this forum.
The reviews on this forum are very much useful since many people decide based on those reviews whether to try a particular gambling site or not.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to LUNA? on: May 12, 2022, 04:06:03 PM
LUNA is pretty much dying right now and all the holders that are still holding on to it will lose their money.
Since it has already lost more than 99% of it's value it is very hard for it to recover the price.
Only a miracle can save it right now. Tough time for LUNA holders.
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Suspend Terra LUNA Coins! on: May 12, 2022, 03:43:39 PM
LUNA is going down. It's at the verge of a collapse and I personally don't think there's any chance for this coin to revive itself.
The reason is because it has fallen from around $100 to an all time low of $0.008 which is more than 99% dump.
That's a point of no return for LUNA and UST. Terra foundation is pretty much collapsed. Game over for LUNA holders.
2253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum at risk of serious losses on: May 12, 2022, 03:30:33 PM
I never said they should enter only when BTC is above $60k. Why would you even think that ?
Right now BTC is trading around $31k and so we should probably wait to see if there's no major dip again.
If bitcoin sustains this price and crosses $35k again then it will be a safe zone to invest some money.
We should make sure that BTC is sustaining the price above $35k to be on the safer side.
Waiting is one thing that really has to be done now but there is nothing wrong with continuing to pay in installments at the price we want now, in my opinion, because this is indeed very cheap compared to the previous ATH so there is nothing wrong with buying regularly now. but indeed if your research shows that bitcoin will still go a long way as long as you are sure to wait at that price it doesn't really matter now because it is also profitable

The price has dipped from $31k to as low as $27k since I made the previous post with the current price at $29k.
This is the dip I was waiting for and I think $25k - $29k is a really good range to buy some coins.
As you said, it's good to buy in installments i.e., buy some now and keep some fiat left if the price dumps further.
2254  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 12, 2022, 02:33:16 PM
FUN token price goes up to 32 sats. It is a clear win for hodlers, especially the one's who locked their tokens for a longer period (of course the other issue is that FUN to FIAT is less than recently, $0.008 now).
I have some sats to spend, I was wondering if not to buy more tokens, but price was 30, so I decided to wait for the next F1 GP... Now, as it is 32sats, I will not buy for sure. Maybe there will be a short moment when BTC price go up, then I will reconsider buying tokens, but for now they are too expensive imho.

Current price of FUN is 31 Sats which is not bad since we saw it dip below 25 Sats recently.
I had around 5100 FUN tokens out of which 2500 FUN tokens are locked up.
So I sold 2600 FUN tokens at 29 Sats and thought I would buy more back when price dips and comes around 26 Sats.
But the price is currently rising. I guess I should have waited but then no regrets. The price might dip as well.

/cut/
I have been buying and selling since BTC was at $3000 so it's not really a huge dump for me.  Grin

Nonetheless, you suggest people stay away from the market for the time being. What is your recommended time for them to enter the market? Once bitcoin reaches $ 60k again?
I don't think that's good advice.

I never said they should enter only when BTC is above $60k. Why would you even think that ?

2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 11, 2022, 03:58:03 PM
It was almost two months hard earned money. Got busted in few minutes. I don't know why I wasn't able to have me within the limits. Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet. This is completely unlucky, because every bets were placed to roll above 20 which means the winning probability is quite high. Anyhow I wasn't in control and I didn't follow the rule gamble what you can afford to loss. It was a money saved to repay a debt. Now once again the interest needs to be paid so to manage the debt for some more time. Unlucky me  Sad Sad Sad

That's what happens when we don't follow the basic rules of gambling. But I think you have learnt your lesson.
Most of us have faced this because of the uncontrollable urge to recover the money we lost in the previous bets.
Thus we end up using all our money to recover the amount we used since the start of gambling.
But it's better to limit our losses for the day and come back another day if we are losing a lot on a particular day.
Controlling the emotions is where many fail and hence lose all their money.

The best lesson that will really sink is the one that will hurt us in OP's case, it's his pocket and of course, his motivation because he needs to work hard to pay the debt and the interest, this is money that you can't afford to lose, this is the kind of situation where no gamblers want to be in, it's ok if it's your own money but this is not your money and it is incurring interest.
In our country gambling is prohibited because one loose control and it is not a good sign.
I won't say to stay away from gambling but be very very careful who you gamble - sorry for your loss though.

That's a good step taken by your government proactively to stop people from incurring losses due to gambling. But as we know still there are people who gamble using VPNs.
OP's story should inspire others to learn from their mistakes and limit themselves from gambling too much.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum at risk of serious losses on: May 11, 2022, 01:51:02 PM
Bitcoin and Ethereum are falling and it has been quite some time now. There's nothing new to it.
We should just wait for a reversal to buy more and I guess until then it's better to stay away from the market.

P.S : Where are those people these days who say "I told you bitcoin is a scam and it will fall".
It's been quite some time since I have read those posts  Grin
I do agree that there is a merit to the current situation and why it's down like this. I agree that the situation we are living right now could be a down moment and yes there are some people who are saying "I told so!" right now but you would be able to see any of them when it was 48k just recently, it wasn't that long ago, like maybe a month ago or so. Just realize that we are living in a moment when 30k+ is seen as "crashed" and how great that is.

I have to say I am feeling fine but that is probably because I bought way before the 2021 increase started, so as long as it is 20k+ I will feel fine. But you should be seeing me as an example of your own future if you buy now.

There was some sarcasm in my post and I meant that although bitcoin and ethereum are falling it doesn't mean that they won't rise again.
We have already seen worse in the history of bitcoin and these dumps are quite normal.
I have been buying and selling since BTC was at $3000 so it's not really a huge dump for me.  Grin
2258  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 11, 2022, 01:17:00 PM
The recent bitcoin drop lead wheel's base prizes to 48 satoshis/lottery tickets/reward points, so I realized it was time to finally use all spins at once. These are the results achieved:

Not the greatest and luckiest of the results, but I liked to have been rewarded with more RPs than lottery tickets. Thanks to this, now I'm also able to exchange my RPs into satoshis. A very welcome extra bonus after spinning almost 1000 times! That is the impact of FUN over your earnings!

Good luck everyone, keep rolling!

Wow, those are some nice rewards but then again the number of spins are high as well. So the returns are quite decent I would say.
You are really lucky that you have accumulated more than 100k RP. Would you collect more RP or will you exchange them for Satoshis ?
I still have only 45k RP. Still 65k RP to collect.
Why do you say you still have 65k RP to collect if you already have 45k ? You can change your RP against satoshis if you have 100k, then with 55K more RP you could already change them. So it's a personal strategy to wait 10K more RP? For what purpose?
Do you know you can also change them against WOF spins without waiting a minimum threshold?

Uh! That's a typo. I meant 55k RP more to be accumulated but then again it's actually good to collect as much RP as we can before we exchange.
Once we hit the 100k RP mark we can exchange at any time. So better to accumulate more and than exchange all together.
And yeah, I do know that we can exchange the RP for WoF spins but I don't think it's really worth it.

2259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: May 09, 2022, 01:37:25 PM
Bitcoin is currently trading at a good price and now is a good opportunity to enter the world of Bitcoin. If you've not bought bitcoins yet, this might be your best opportunity this year.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $ 34,493 and the bear market is coming to an end. Also, another good thing that will definitely affect the price of bitcoin is halving.
Big investors! One of the main reasons why the price of Bitcoin does not fall much is the presence of large investors. These investors do not allow the Bitcoin price sink lower.

Two things.

1. How can you say that the bear market is coming to an end.
Firstly, we can't say it's a bear market yet but we are seeing a down trend instead.
Bear market are way too long and worse than this.

2. Bitcoin halving still has around 2 years left.
So we won't be seeing any major impact of bitcoin halving right from now.
We will notice the implications of bitcoin halving only in 2024 I believe.
2260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 09, 2022, 01:26:41 PM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?

Even if bitcoin goes bullish it's not like the price will go above $60k overnight. We will get sufficient time to get back in.
I am sure that we will see many corrections once the trend is reversed and we see the new ATH.
So the reason why many people are waiting for further dip is so that they can buy more at lower costs which makes sense.
