Shows how much I know about Altcoins then!  I had no idea about this 20 XRP reserve... that's rubbish. Oh well... not that it matters much, as I'm fairly sure I missed out on Round 2 anyway  But just in case... go with Stellar (STR) You do know how to pick them: Stellar has the same 20 coin reserve as Ripple  But I do have a Stellar wallet already. Just FYI: Stellar allows you to close the wallet, and send the remaining 20 coins to another wallet. Ripple doesn't offer that option. As far as I know, it's meant as some sort of spam protection, but it forces people to use the same address all the time, which reduces privacy. |

I haven't been through the post for which I received merit. I check my Merit transactions each time my Merit count goes up. It's kinda addictive to see where I got it. It's quite difficult to stay motivated when all you see is negativity. When I see a good post, I Merit it. When I see a bad post, I report it. When it's a spammer, I get him banned. All positive (but I get your point  ) I think this post is the most merited !
It's the obvious first post to test sending Merit. It wouldn't be good if many posts receive that much Merit, as it reduces readability. |

Thing is, I like preserving my anonymity as much as possible so I didn't want to send an email to ChipMixer from a permanent e-mail and give them my identity. So I used a disposable e-mail after I waited for 20 confirmations, informing them of the problem. It has still not been resolved. There's no need to post your addy/txid here. On top of the arguments mentioned already: the spammers increase demand for their tokens, and thus increase demand for altcoin Ethereum at the expense of Bitcoin. That shouldn't be something facilitated by a Bitcoin forum. This will help not only to fight against scumbags, this will also help moderators to fight against "joined bounty" "good project sir" posts and ICO bumping services which are very shady.
I know theymos doesn't like imposing restrictions, but I think it's the only way to really end most of the spam. |

I got 2860 something tokens for my stakes. Recently I heard TrueGame team started distribution. At first I received only 973. When you saw 2860 in the spreadsheet, that wasn't the final number of tokens. Not all tokens were sold. The number of tokens available for the bounty went down, but stayed at 1% of the total sold amount. I wrote an article for the Truegame bounty. I remember seeing that I had 2 stakes and would receive around 5,000 tokens. I received 1947 tokens last week and was expecting more. See above  |

Is it easy for me to get a list of posts that I've merited, and for which I've received merit. My current list only goes as far as June 8th. That's the one I did manually, right? I now create weekly updates ( yours!), so it's very easy. I'm still uploading 40k files, should be done within a few hours. |

Does the bump mean that actual, real and active participants are highly required? The bump means this campaign still has open spots. If so than I'm reapplying, being completely aware of 9merit missing. All Hero slots are full too. Please look at your previously accepted member, imo opportunist without real forum engagement, merited as required yet missing for 48hours, did not kept to his promise, did not acknowledge managers request. If this isn't a good example for merits being meaningless, I don't know what is. I noticed that too, and he's no longer accepted. Yesterday, when looking into his account again, I noticed he does "burst posting". I didn't notice that earlier. Either way, it's not what I'm looking for in this campaign. I'm willing to accept you, if you're okay with Sr. Member rates. |

Every signature campaign also asks to post your application True, but that's only allowed on the Services board if it pays in Bitcoin. Altcoin payments aren't allowed there. |

I have been scammed a message lured me to sent btc's to be rewarded with btc's. I really don't get how so many people still fall for this! It's like the oldest scam in the book. If someone IRL asks you to give him $100 and promises to return $200, do you believe him? Of course not! So why would you believe this when someone does the same online? The address you sent to has 11 other txs, and has not moved the funds at all $10k in a day  Scammers are earning good money from naive greedy people! It might be worth contacting the scammer, and asking if he would consider returning some of your coins, offering to let him keep some. I highly doubt that: the scammer can just keep everything now. I know it's sort of like grovelling, but I've seen it work before. A scammer with a soft spot for sob stories? |

It took nine hours to get a reply to this thread about the Bitcoin port. I don't think this is an interesting subject for the average newbie. Actually, it really annoys me, especially as they are constantly whining about how they can't get any merits. "But ranking up should be free, without effort!" I appreciate what you're doing though! If I come up with a good question, I'll try following your example. Thanks for giving us lower-level members some opportunities to earn merits! Merit was created to stop spammers from ranking up. Judging by your post history, you started as a "bounty spammer", but quickly changed into making decent posts. I don't think you should be restricted by the Merit system. Therefore, I broke a personal record: meriting 3 different posts in the same second. |
