x11 should be 50% less noise and 50% less power. And what ?
My r9 290 is again hot (5.1 gh/s) and power consuming (about ~160W ? ). And I quess in a week there will be "new patch" and it will run ~6,5 GH/s and about 230W (what is max in scrypt) - sb just need to public his new .cl or amd new drivers optimised for miners x11.
So x11 is big BS if u ask me. Now very close to scrypt (would like to see if that 5 MH/s do not destroy my GPU faster than ~900 KH/s with scrypt)

What is preventing you from keeping your rigs at the lower hashrate and lower power consumption with the old version? u rly asked that question ? ur nick should be "suchmoron" not "suchmoon" Why use x11 instead of scrypt if they will soon be the same (or x11 is more secure or sth ? Isnt that just a method ? ) r9 290 scrypt 900KH/s = 230W r9 290 x11 7GH/s = 230W (soon, when max optimised) so what is the point to use x11 ? It was better coz everyone with same GPU used less power than scrypt. Hashrate isnt important at all as long as its fair and now scrypt is more fair coz sb still can squezee more from x11. ehm, just Nvidia was uber profitable in our expense. I guess you have many NV gpus.. nvidia is still far above, 2.7mh/s one 750ti against 4.2mh/s 280x on x11 one 280x need to climb until 5.4 with a consumption of 120w max, it will not happen no matter what optimization you can pull out |

it was expected man, x11 was just not optimized, that was the only reason for the low wattage, some guy really think that the algo was magical and give you low consumption, lmao Guys

If stunna changes this program to that then he will simply lose many advertisers and wont get exposure I hardly see any gaw miner advertising nor dont pay attention to them. I dont like to get paid per activity and many dont like giving free advertising. I like where I am at now.
I don't think Stunna going to lost too many some can leave this but mostly still like to work here on any conditions by Stunna they are all limiting posts per week, i don't see a better alternative than PD at the moment, maybe i've missed a good one out there |
