2262  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 02, 2014, 08:41:23 PM
+1 for standing behind your product.

Pieces of crap.  They lasted less than 15 hours before they simply stopped working, stopped being recognized by the computer.  I had active airflow on them at all times, but they never got hot.  The USB sockets that they were plugged into still work perfectly fine for tons of other USB devices.  They are nothing more then paperweights and they don't even do that very well.

Don't waste your money on these, they will die in a day and support is non-existent on the site.

Hi wpstudio, we are sorry to hear your bad experience with our DualMiner USB product. As you should know that your purchased DualMiner USB is covered by our warranty program. You can either get a full refund or exchange to a new device if you did receive a faulty one. But we would appreciate more if you could share the details of your failure, so we can make our product better. Thanks.

I love this site I just saw you were selling it.
Do you have income generation figures and will most of the ad clients be going along with the new owner?
Thanks

I planned on it next time it happened.  Sorry I did not this time.  Brain is not awake yet.

I'm getting unahandled exception errors today on the Win 8.1 system.

Please always post the details of unhandled exceptions either here or in a Github issue. I cannot fix them if I don't know what they are  Sad

2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 02, 2014, 04:11:16 PM
I'm getting unahandled exception errors today on the Win 8.1 system.
Remoting on the network then does not work.  No errors on the Win 7 system.
Version 2.5.6
A couple restarts of MuM and it stopped doing it and then Remoting works.
A bit weird.
2267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to overclock bitfury asic usb miner? on: February 02, 2014, 04:06:40 PM
I did get it all the way up to 4.1 but it was throwing huge errors so I erased the pencil and started again I made sure to lay down and even pencil mark.  3.33 seems to be the sweet spot on mine.  Fast and cool with no issues.
MultiMiner is a GUI for BFG with some enhancements so those commands may work as well.  I will try them out and see what I can get.
Thanks  Smiley

I wonder is there an argument you can use in MultiMiner to overclock with oscillator bits instead of the pencil mod?

BFGminer has access to the oscillators,

eg
--set-device <arg>  Set default parameters on devices; eg, NFY:osc6_bits=50

So there may be something similar in multiminer?

Or maybe you need a bit more pencil, or a different hardness pencil?
2268  Economy / Economics / Re: Quick way to buy BTC without a long wait???? on: February 02, 2014, 03:59:18 PM
I did sign up with them but have not used them yet.
In the meantime I got everything going at coinbase so I can finally instant purchase.

Maybe you can try localbitcoins, and find a trade...
You don't need to do any verification this way...
2269  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Interest in a GPU Group Buy? on: February 02, 2014, 03:57:45 PM
Everything I have read here on this forum has shown it to be about 50/50 for legit and scam.
People seem happy with the buyer protection but it can be slow to recover their money.
Also a big chunk of advice is to check the sellers feedback and such.
It does look too good to be true but not sure.

Anyone in the mood to get in touch and check if any of these listings are legit http://www.alibaba.com/products/F0/radeon_7990.html seems too good to be true but who knows.

Yes it works great with BiFuries.  I have one in it now that is running at 5.8+ and stable.  Also a ReFury and a few of the original 333 eruptors.
I am going to move my Jalapenos to it the beginning of the week as well and then the rest of my USB's.

I Highly recommend one of these hubs from razorfishsl.

They are beasts.  I got mine this week and it takes everything you can throw at it and is built like a tank both internally and externally.

Agreed. I replaced several 7-port D-Links with one of these. I no longer have issues with random ASICs reporting high HW% until I power cycle the hubs and other such random issues.

Thanks ManeBjorn. Does it work for bifury?

If you go to the group buys forum, iluvpics is selling them for 0.053 BTC including shipping. Here's the link:

I personally have purchased from him and it shipped the next morning and was received 2 days later.  Actually going to order more this week.

He also does any repairs needed and ships super fast as well as safely.  No dings, dents or DOA stuff with his gear.
I hope this helps replace the one that konked out on you.

Hi,
Anyone facing this situation in bfgminer where if you have slower devices like erupters with faster ones like furies, one or more slower devices would have lower accepted rates? I originally suspected it could be my erupters but when i moved the erupters to another machines, they progressed at the same (accepted) rates. btw, i am using bfgminer 3.10.0

You mean like this:

 OCL 0: 29.0C |  31.3/ 29.1/  9.0kh/s | A: 2 R:2+0(none) HW:0/none
 OCL 1: 92.0C | 452.2/451.4/323.3kh/s | A:46 R:0+0(none) HW:0/none
 OCL 2: 85.0C | 465.8/466.4/355.6kh/s | A:49 R:1+2(none) HW:2/none

Where CL0 is the APU and CL1 & 2 are R9 270xs?

Thanks for the post, just cranked this guy up last night and hadn't noticed.  Still, acceptance level of CL0 is in line with its relative performance.

Thanks for the reply. I think my issue was due to the faulty usb hub adapter.. damn, must have busted it when I exceeded the listed max amps.
2274  Economy / Goods / (WTS) Windows XP Pro SPK3 on: February 02, 2014, 05:49:55 AM
Going through my software I found two unused and unopened WinXP Pro SPK3's.
I am selling if anyone wants them.
.043 each or .080 for both as a bonus you will get a stick of ram of my choosing with each one.  That way OEM requirements are still met as I am still a certified MS OEM System Builder.
Shipping is .0035 or I would be willing to send the Product ID #'s via email with a picture of me destroying the code.
They have not been used nor will they be used by me.
I am willing to accept offers as well as trade them for working mining equipment like an Antminer U1 or Fury type miner I would trade both at once for.
I am always willing to escrow as well.  Smiley
Thanks

I wish I was up to it but I don't have the skill set for that.

I'm glad he does that work too.  MultiMiner with BFG for the backend is great.  The only thing I have to run separate is MemoryCoin or Primecoin on the CPU.
 Smiley

I haven't tested with Primecoin specifically but you can follow the Windows build instructions to get CPU mining enabled.

https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/blob/bfgminer/windows-build.txt
Prime POW support was never finished/merged; so someone willing to clean up the code is needed to get it added in.

Well they will get better.

I'm sure they will, and I think the initial crop is still very interesting.

In the meantime, thanks for your support of scyrpt Nwoolls!  It nice to use one mining software package for all my needs.

(well mostly, I hate to see a CPU sit idle, so CPU mine as well for Primecoins (on windows), and scyrpt on Linux.  If I didn't do that, the cpu's would be busy doing BOINC, so even if I'm losing money, I'm losing it slower <smile>)
2277  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.10.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, AntU1, DRB, HFA on: February 02, 2014, 03:16:08 AM
I did not know that.
I have it running at 3.33gh/s with the pencil mod.
For some reason I thought I had overclocked it before in pure BFG using oscillator bits adjustments.  Maybe it was my BiFury.
I'm a bit fuzzy the last few days with no sleep.
I was thinking using the oscillator bits method might be more precise than the pencil mod.  When I push it above 3.33 with the pencil mod errors go through the roof.  3.33 seemed to be the sweet spot of low errors and good performance.
Thanks for the info.  Smiley

Does anyone know the correct arguments for MultiMiner for changing the oscillating bits for RedFuries overclocking??
I cannot figure it out.
nwools gave me all sorts of great info I just can't seem to execute it properly.

redfuries are closed source non software adjustable. the only way to make them hash faster is to hardware mod them to a higher voltage

if you mean nanofury/hitchhiker/yellowjacket, then it should be --set-device NFY:osc6_bits=XX in the extra arguments box
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Best Dogecoin pool on: February 01, 2014, 11:00:33 PM
I would let it run for at least an hour then the stats will be more level it will be easier to tell then.

Here's my results on dogepool.net after about 30 minutes(at 750Kh/s):

Round Shares Submitted shares since last found block (ie. round shares)
Est. Shares   2583756 (done: 91.58%)
Pool Valid   2366300
Your Valid   4
Pool Invalid   61892
Your Invalid   1

DOGE Estimates
Block   0.16904027
Fees   0
Donation   0
Payout   0.16904027

So is that Block size for dogecoins in blocks of 50 or are they SINGLE dogecoins?

Sorry so many questions, just want to be sure my math is correct.

2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Best Dogecoin pool on: February 01, 2014, 10:41:10 PM
Sometimes a lower I instead of max seems to give fewer errors or rejects and even can increase the WU a bit.
I actually have my card I set to 14 on the HD 8500 and an I of 15 on my R7 250 which gives me 115 kh/s.  On my R7 250 higher I resulted in only 90kh/s.

I'm wondering if I have a incorrect setting in my config file then, for my SAPPHIRE R9 290 Tri-X  I'm using:

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.dogepool.net:4444 -u XXX -p XXX -I 20

Is it that the intensity=20 should be changed or should I be using different options???  Again, I'm getting 756.7Kh/s, which is pretty good for this card.  Thoughts?

Thank you in advance!
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Best Dogecoin pool on: February 01, 2014, 10:28:41 PM
It usually is off by a bit and sometimes alot.  In the end I do get what my miner was putting into though.

I've been running on dogepool.net for about 20 minutes and have 2 blocks accepted.  I'm getting 756.7Kh/s average.  However the site says I'm only getting 5Kh/s(from the dashboard).  Any suggestions on how to speed this up or is the dashboard incorrect. Seems a bit slow.  Here's the cgminer output:
