2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 24, 2022, 11:13:10 AM
If you're promoting a casino-based campaign you need to post at least 5 to 10 posts in the gambling section Currently there are  1136622 Posts and  5903 Topics in the gambling discussion alone the gambling announcement not included making it the most active board here in Bitcointalk.

If There are No Casino Signature campaigns Anymore Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same will we have the same stats as we are seeing right now

So far, I have seen some members that have dedicated their time and post on this board, they don't wear any sort of signature on the gambling board but they do post here most of the time at their convenience because they make more money in gambling than the required to post for the sake of signatures, they play in most of the popular casinos here.

We also have some important threads on this board that have caught my attention over the months I have been on this board, for example, the Premier League, Champions League, Bundesliga, Seria A and other notable leagues and sports boxing and Formula have seen here, some members here are more engaging when I'm alone watching a match without anyone besides me and it is more fun when your team is bullying a troll in League threads.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: July 24, 2022, 10:48:38 AM
Here's my list(about football betting).
2.Pick unpredictable teams, which are in the middle of the ranking(5-15th place). I usually pick teams that could win against every opponent and lose against every opponent. I usually don't bet on stronger teams, that are considered favorites by the bookies.

But the issue with bookmakers is that they are quite skilled at allocating odds for matches when the outcome of a match is so predictable, they turn cunning with winning especially when the matches are easy to predict. Using top teams is an excellent way to gain favourable odds for sports betting, though it might be risky as you pointed out.

Quote
5.Practice,practice,practice.

I know some may argue that you can make sports predictions and practice without putting any amount of money, like writing them down on a piece of paper, but when there is no pain at all, there wouldn't be anything to learn. Practices needed you to pay an X amount of money.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 24, 2022, 10:23:52 AM
Arsenal get their first trophy today that after humiliated Chelsea 4-0 they get Florida Cup and i know this not important trophy because the tournament is only friendly matches but it can motivated them for next season to get real trophies and as strong contender for Man City and Liverpool their pre season matches results also very impressive with 5 winning streak and apparently new players can adapt quickly especially Gabriel Jesus since his debut match he already scoring 4 goals

If after the budget Arsenal has spent to purchase new players and they still have low performance, they should be checked again but they turned out excellently. I am even thinking that Arsenal is beginning to awaken their spirit against Chelsea recently because prior to this friendly match,  Arsenal's last match of the previous season was so easy for them with a 4-2 win against Chelsea. I hope they stay on this track when the season starts and that they don't become the usual Top to Bottom they are used to in every season.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 23, 2022, 06:46:07 PM
Hey guys!

So I am interested in starting an online bitcoin casino, yet i have no idea how to start from.
I have a background in coding, and I know the in and outs of integrating crypto, yet i have zero game development skills, and i have no idea how much it will cost, and will it even get users.
Any help would be well appreciated! and looking for partners if anyone wants to start that.

Thank you!

Starting a casino is not easy, but it is also not tough, but it is quite complicated when you do not have the resources to get started. When you want to build your own casino, you need cash to pay your employees, you don't start a casino with a little budget, as what happened to Bitlucy. They started successfully, but owing to a shortage of cash, they had to close down, and some forum members reputation was harmed because some players were unable to withdraw their winnings.
Also, don't forget to have skilled developers that can handle the backend extremely well, you don't want players complaining about missing funds, missing bonuses, or anything else that will make them uncomfortable.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 23, 2022, 05:53:39 PM
One of the best teams in the English Premier League is Manchester United. I think since Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United, their team has become stronger. We all already know that Manchester United is a very strong and balanced team Since Ronaldo recently joined the club, Manchester United are in my opinion one of the best favorites in the Premier League.

I'll take this as a joke and sarcasm directed at Manchester United for failing to finish 2-0 in the second half. The fans cheered and made noise in the first half, believing that the Real Manchester United they once knew was back, only to be disappointed in the second half. They haven't seen anything until the start of the full season, but I'm hoping Erik ten can keep his energy up until then because he has a lot of work to do.
Ronaldo is still a foster player awaiting his fate, I doubt the man wants to stay at Manchester United, sadly no team is interested in signing the best player in history.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POSSIBLE THINGS TO HELP US TO WIN AT CRYPTO CASINOS on: July 23, 2022, 05:29:32 PM
I like the tips you've shared, but I'm sceptical about how people will apply them effectively because, from what you've stated, some would be difficult to avoid. For instance:

1. Beware of tricks

To begin with, how can you show that a casino does not have tricks? You must risk some money to determine whether they have a good reputation and do not deceive people. Do you have any other methods for detecting this early from the perspective of the player without relying on other reviews?

Quote
3. Play the demo before playing for real money.

The most popular casinos on this forum don't offer a demo, I've asked many times, and the main disadvantage is the hosting; who will pay for hosting demo casinos simply so users may get experience? Do you think it is possible to do this?

Quote

7. Bonus hunters, do your research.
9. Read the terms and conditions.

I was going to combine 7 and 9, but this is not a question, but rather a warning to players to always take that part seriously. The majority of the accusations we see on the forum between players and casinos are generally the consequence of a lack of comprehension of the above, if you don't grasp them properly, you will frequently have problems with them.

2268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many number of activities will a newbie get perday on: July 22, 2022, 06:44:52 PM
Every member is limited to 14 activity in a period regardless of every number of posts, comments and replies you make. Your activity will keep counting as your number of post increases but the moment you reach 14 activity, it will stop until when another period activated. Basically, each period activate every 14 days/ 2 weeks.

You can track when new period of activity activate with this spreadsheet
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla: "We have converted approximately 75% of our BTC into fiat currency" on: July 22, 2022, 05:56:57 PM
Too soon to say it. The recession can change your plan if you did not manage risk well at beginning. It is the same for small investor too. If you don't have money reserve to spend in bear market, what you bought in bull market must be sold in bear market at loss. You don't have choice, only one choice and must execute it.

Are you implying that Tesla founded in 2003 doesn't know what risk management was all about, they have been in the system right before the genesis block was mined, they knew what they did. It is not as if it was only bitcoin they had as an option to get fiat to stock more items due to recession but I feel they don't believe in bitcoin as a store of value otherwise they would have sorted out the fiat elsewhere.

We don't know why Tesla and Elon sold their Bitcoin.

It wouldn't be far from what franky1 discuss here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5407060.msg60604239#msg60604239

Every company can change plans but I don't protect Elon or Tesla. You must know that Elon speaks not based on plans. In many speech on behalf of Tesla team or SpaceX team, he made his teams shocked because they did not know anything about plan Elon said.

They had plans and that was what they just executed and surprises the public. It will be ridiculous that a company like Tesla doesn't have plans, plans are secretive to the mind and that was what they had in mind should in case things don't go as planned, they sold and left the remaining 15% as another plan we don't know yet.

2270  Other / Meta / Re: How Would You Make Bitcointalk Better If You Were The Boss ? on: July 22, 2022, 04:49:58 PM
I've read a lot of proposals, and a lot of them have already been tossed in the trash. Very soon, this one will join them. I originally suggested that Bitcointalk be made open source and free to contribute to, similar to how Bitcoin features and protocol are regularly upgraded. However, I later discovered that new forum software has been under development, and I have never heard any significant updates regarding the progress.

Scams are not moderated, and making trades on the forum are high-risk activity. My best recommendation is to address this by ensuring a perfect lightning network on the forum. Users only need to create/generate their seeds outside the forum(offline manner) and use a single private key to open a channel in the forum, two people can use the channel to send bitcoin within themself without running away since two of the users are required to closed the channel, in no other circumstance would anyone else have access to the keys except when the forum becomes compromised and that is what I feared the most.
I've been contemplating this, and that's the best shot I have right now to address the problem of scams. While it would lower the incidence of forum fraud, my biggest concern is the possibility of keys being stolen. I sincerely hope there is another solutions available.
2271  Other / Meta / Re: Where do you post most? on: July 21, 2022, 04:28:57 PM
I just checked https://ninjastic.space/user/cookdata and gambling discussion, beginners & help are at the top of the list, whereas Bitcoin Technical support, Development, and Technical discussion are at the bottom. I haven't checked this in a while, but I'm glad that none has surpassed 30%, however, I would like that the last two on the list become the top two, but for now I'm limited to the discussion because I'm still learning the techniques of bitcoin.
I'm not sure how some of you enjoy the Altcoin discussion, the majority of serious discussions don't take place there except for spammers and signature posters, yet some members have more than 40% of their posts in that section. I don't just like that board, and I've never posted a single line on any of its threads.
2272  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source observations on: July 21, 2022, 01:30:27 PM
........

Hello Ratimov! My concern is out of context of your argument but I will appreciate if you respond.
The Merit that you sent out over the last 2/3 months has reduced drastically when compared to Q1 and late last year, your activity on some boards has also reduced especially the beginner & help board, and some of the threads you frequently updated to help out newbies are no longer active, like the Encyclopedia. I have been wondering if you have been removed from the Merit source because from my observations, it was the week you announced that you will be active in the forum I noticed these changes. You motivate me in many of your threads during my newbie days and I have mange to be a Sr.Member, I really hope you are fine.

Congrats on your 8K merit journey.
2273  Other / Off-topic / Re: My View on Brand-Newbies to Legendary Members in the Forum on: July 21, 2022, 12:06:44 PM
I just have to smile at the images on your content, the headline is eye-catching but the storyline doesn't blend and align with Bitcointalk as you have written. It is just a regular forum like every other and dedicated purposely for Bitcoin discussion, Altcoins and also other discussions related to cryptocurrency.
A newbie account doesn't mean the person behind is a novice, it could be a legendary member Alt account, J.Member doesn't have to read continuously to rank up, a single post can get merits and with a few activity can promote him to the next rank and also for the remaining ranks like Sr.Member and Hero Member. The legendary account can also get sold to a new person that is new to the forum and so on. There are many uncertain things that can happen anonymously and remain hidden from the public except when they observe some changes like password and Email and changes in writing.

NB: 500Level is not a default level system for all university, Nigerian Federal University of technology mostly adopt 5 years course but this is not the same for other universities and colleges.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla: "We have converted approximately 75% of our BTC into fiat currency" on: July 21, 2022, 11:32:50 AM
It is now apparent that Tesla and Elon are here for the preservation of values due to inflation and it is obvious they don't care or give a damn thing about bitcoin adoption or the technology.
First, they announce that they will accept bitcoin for their product and played everyone believing that they are here for the long-term adoption and later denounced that they no longer accept due to energy concerns after selling a few of their sats and he came back and tell the public that they were tasting bitcoin liquidity, Nice try Elon! He is a twister and a fraudster and I'm more than that Bitcoin Maxis now knows his true colour.

As if that was not enough, they have now sold about 75% of their bitcoin with some crap headline, well it is their bitcoin and they are free to sell, the more they sell, the more buyers keep accumulating, and they will come back by the time we hit 100k and buy another one and who knows there will be another richest man that might have to replace him.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 20, 2022, 01:17:34 PM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.

When people say they predicted about bitcoin and it goes as they said doesn't really mean your analysis actually works as you plan but you did actually speculate about it and due to fomo, it went up as planned. If you are so sure about predictions you will have seen it coming that the Bitcoin under LFG reserve would have caused a lot of damage to the market, and you would have seen the CPI increase coming.
There are going to be a lot of people making some noise about the market as we have had little pump after many weeks of higher low but it is a normal thing that market always bottom to the top after many dips of the candle stick, keep holding and buying at every opportunity. Don't forget to keep the goal long-term.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: July 20, 2022, 11:57:08 AM
I'd guess it's for self-satisfaction for me? I never really considered playing for money. Sure, I entertained the idea of me earning money if I won my bet, but never have I considered that it was a guaranteed event, more like it's just a nice addition to my self-satisfaction. I've always aimed for the win and the inclusion of money in the experience, it just adds more to the feeling that you get. I've always, and will always want to go for the win, not because of wanting money, but rather simply because I want to win.

In addition, self-confident as a loyal and hardcore fan who believes in his team(I'm talking about sports gambling). I had an argument about a match that I was so sure that my team will win that match, I wanted us to bet some amount against each other but for the fear of losing, he was afraid and didn't bet with me. To prove that I was super confident about that game, I took the odds and stake some amount, and my team made me believe in them more when the result came out good.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin and Blockchain on: July 20, 2022, 10:42:07 AM
The confusion comes from websites and blogs that do not use the term coin and call it as native token instead.

A good example is Investopedia which calls ETH as the native token of Ethereum blockchain and defines erc-20 as smart contract tokens.

Taken from https://www.investopedia.com/news/what-erc20-and-what-does-it-mean-ethereum/
"What's the Difference Between ETH and ERC-20?

Ether (ETH) is the native token used by the Ethereum blockchain and network as a payment system for verifying transactions. ERC-20 is the standard for creating smart contract-enabled fungible tokens to be used in the Ethereum ecosystem."

There is no theory that makes it absolute to describe other coins on blockchain as native tokens, though bitcoin is unique and exclusive, it is a coin and doesn't support smart contracts like other chains. However, the Native token describes the chains that are EVM compatible, not really the coin of a blockchain. Example: KCS token is supported on Ethereum as ERC and Kucoin chain(Kuchain) as a native token because it is EVM compatible, this helps to tell users when making transactions and knows the type of token and the chain they are interacting with, the same with other layers one blockchain like Matic (now polygon), Fantom etc.
2278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FBI warns about Fraudulent Cryptocurrency Investments on: July 20, 2022, 10:06:20 AM
Where were they during the ICO scams and frauds that were done through fake projects, were they not reading annual Chain Analysis report? If I can remember very well from their last report, scams carried out through cryptocurrency have reduced drastically and according to the data presented in their report, North Korea is the number one country who do these things.
Most of the crowdfunding and Investment today usually avoid US investors, they don't want to be associated with them, we have seen how they have been dragging Ripple for years,  so they should worry about how to take their country out of the recession
2279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do exchanges charge same withdrawal fee for all address types and why? on: July 19, 2022, 05:57:56 PM
I learn and get knowledge that in transaction size and fee, Legacy address is most expensive. Nested Segwit saves transaction fee but Native Segwit saves the most. Taproot is better than Nested Segwit but worse than Native Segwit.

Exchanges provide different address types for users: Legacy, Nested Segwit and Native Segwit and some have Taproot address.

They charge same withdrawal fee on all users and they do not mind what are types of address from deposit, receiving address.

Why they do not take into account address type and give users better withdraw fee?

You should know they are called exchanges for a reason and that fixed withdrawal fee is one of them, they are also centralized to some extent otherwise this thing can be done in a way that as soon as you insert your wallet address, their app should be able to detect the wallet address you are using and since most of the time they don't use junks of input to pay withdrawals, the withdrawals fee should be less than what they charge as a flat rate.
The exchange companies are milking users with this fee, most of their transactions are done in the range of 2-5 sats/vbytes and they are mostly done by batch transactions helping them reduce the fee instead of paying fees every time on a single transaction.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: July 19, 2022, 05:08:43 PM
These solutions can easily be adapted by an introvert but an extrovert must have an alternative to forget about gambling, you can't eliminate gambling addiction completely if you don't have an alternative, I think you should have added ''a gambler should indulge in a job that will give them a source of income'' and not stay idle. If you don't have anything serious that you do to kill time, you will always go back to gambling because you will always have excess time in your hands but the moment you are so busy with your job, you hardly have time to think of gambling in the first place especially if it is the one they can fire you ASAP for any slight mistakes.
