2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Vs Cardano on: January 17, 2023, 03:59:38 PM

The value is just too far for ADA to race. But it has something to offer at least to the newcomers in crypto since it had some plans for easy migration of ERC tokens to bridge to the ADA network. It can't beat ETH but it does have its own pace.

ADA has been in the top 10 of the CMC for years and had definitely increased its value since. In this next bull cycle, we shall see more of its development because of Voltaire.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: January 17, 2023, 03:52:11 PM
No hope for Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz already, for the first half of this year. Maybe Paul vs Diaz will happen. Too bad for Tommy he is matched up to Jake who always makes sure he wins the fight.

I wouldn't say Tommy is someone whom can consider a "capable" boxer because of his record. Most of his wins are against mediocre fighters at best with very poor win-loss ratio with the exception of Daniel Bocianski. I think this fight, we know which way it will go: obviously Jake's. Seeing Tommy's previous fights, he doesn't really focus on the defense and always go to the offense instead, so that's one department that he needs to work on as Jake is slowly becoming a somewhat well-rounded boxer through his previous bouts.

Rumor has it that Tommy isn't really interested in boxing but because his family is known to be in boxing, he just got into it even without ring IQ nor chin. But he had won 8 fights which is not to ignore. If he puts his heart into it, I think he may give a good fight.
2263  Other / Archival / Re: Mass adoption: Naming my child bitcoin on: January 17, 2023, 03:09:34 PM

I think there was also a thread about naming a child "Satoshi" I tried searching for it but I couldn't find it anymore. I think the name Satoshi is fine but Bitcoin as a name will be a terrible idea.

Of all names you could think of, your child will definitely question you about it. You could at least try something that sounds like a name but without the word "COIN" on it such as Cryptopher or Peertopher.  Cheesy
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 10 Biggest U.S Lottery Jackpots Ever...(Until Now) on: January 17, 2023, 02:06:47 PM
There is no way one can win that much from an online casino or from bookies. You have to win an impossible bet that the casino will find a way for you not to be able to withdraw them lol

No online lottery will consolidate the amount of money that will reach $100M - —not even a $1M yet. But today we already can find casinos that will ask KYC, and ask 3rd party to investigate any fraud for an alibi that they won't send the winning.

I think one shouldn't expect he'd get his amount if he won a billion USD.
The casino will just weigh thier options, they can make a new casino like a fresh start or suffer the loss of a billion. Which do you think they will chose?
2265  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Influencers, affiliate links and scams on: January 17, 2023, 02:08:38 AM

They were promoting a real project and at that time they have no idea whether a project like Celsius is going to scam. While there were signs, FTX also bought them which is probably now the fault of FTX since they already saw it coming yet they made it worse for the investors.

However, people have to really realize the "Not your Key, Not your coins" phrase. They have been warned about it many times and everywhere. If they still go for centralized and Defi platforms where they have no hold of thier keys, I think they really have not understood well. Blinded by the future profit.
2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 17, 2023, 01:16:22 AM

When the price spiked up to 70% in a short period of time like in a week, it's gotta go down sometime either next week or the next which is an opportunity for you to sell now and buy back if you have plans to make money again and again.

The idea is to buy low sell high as they always said.
Waiting for its fall by the next days is the opportunity. There is the need for waiting time though and this is where people get impatient.
2267  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptogamers Hive No KYC Casino on: January 16, 2023, 02:41:25 PM
Normally, since I've registered on the forum I have been warned many times to stay away from projects that gives insane reward when staking their tokens and now that this is coming from a high  rank member I am so confused, are you saying you believe in this project or what? 50% is so unrealistic.

Half goes to casino and other half goes to token stakers , it's one of token utility, what's unrealistic?

50% are going to be divided among the hundreds to thousands of its token stakers which may not be as profitable but if the casino gets tons of loyal users beating the top casinos, I think stakers will make money. This is almost the same with decentralized dividend casinos but because there are quests, it makes it a bit like p2e.

My concern is that it asks for Private key when you login to kryptogameapp.
2268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 16, 2023, 02:15:26 PM
The price of BTC maintains its position above $20K though so If this will not go back to at least $18k by Wednesday, the bull market may just continue til we reach $25K. Hoping that it would drop a bit so those who have sold can accumulate more leaving a few BTC left on the order book. I sold the altcoin I have held since it spike a bit. I'm not sure if I am going to be buying back.

Yup, managed to exit at $21k, entered at $15k. It is somewhat unplanned to be honest, I never expected that there will be an increase as early as this one given that the year has just began. However I sold my holdings at the mentioned price point because I doubted the possibility that the increase would be continuous. The known reason was the CIP Report recently but I think it is not a reason which would support market resistance against bearish market from last year. I am more expecting of a huge recovery in 2024 but I won't disregard any spike with the market prices to generate profit ofcourse. Always be mindful of the reason whenever the price is whether upward or down to help you with buying and selling decision.

Good profit. Congrats! I also told a friend to sell since he had bought his BTC last year at $18K. He did listen to sell while I'm not selling. I was pressured he might blame me again. If the price continues to blow up, I hope he will not blame me still.
2269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: January 16, 2023, 01:44:27 PM
The best way to lessen the learning curve is by applying in mentorship with proven system that can make profit in any season of the market. In this way, the trader do not need to do experiment and to build his/her own system wherein it can save a lot of time but the only disadvantage is most of the mentorship program has a cost. But that cost can be the key for you to be a profitable way.

Mentorship is a good strategy for learning as a beginner as you can ask and hear answers from what you wanted to know, pretty unlike if we just rely on online tutorials. I'd see fast learning in this way but of course, we don't also have to keep relying on this person as it was a need for us to stand and decide alone. Having time with our mentors is perfectly the time for building our trading analysis and decision-making teaches us how to respond in a particular situation. They can't be forever on our side that is why we should have to work hard as well to understand everything we needed.

The benefits of having a mentor include the ability to easily ask someone if you have questions rather than conducting research, which we know can yield broad results. Also, having a mentor means you can really enjoy learning as you have someone to talk to, but the con is that you'll be getting dependent on it like a child that, if you keep holding it, will not know how to walk. So after you've gotten the grasp of trading, it is time to walk on your own and try to feel the waters of trading.

Aren't mentors asking for high fees from their students?

I didn't learn from a mentor but I have bought a video tutorial from a computer base company that provides it. I first learn forex trading actually, it was all boring until I went ahead to trade and lost a few hundred. Losing some money I think will motivate someone from learning more of what he wanna learn because, after that, I really read the trading strategies and solemnly followed rules.

2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 16, 2023, 01:23:23 PM
What a greedy man Francis Ngannou is. He is a living proof that if a person had poor and hungry childhood, he will think only about money. I cant believe he has left UFC even after they offered him highest payment in UFC history. Francis Ngannou only excuse was - he does not like the contract. He feels like he is a slave. He is a slave, but other are blind and dream to get into UFC. I dont believe that it is all about contract. If contract really was such a nightmare, everyone would reveal that long time ago.
There is no logic in your words, you say that he is greedy for money, but he refused to increase the pay. There was no hanging as such, the matter is a little different there, the problem of long-term contracts of the UFC is that the fighter, after signing the contract, his fees remain unchanged throughout the duration of the contract.

The UFC did not want to give him a contract for two fights, and Nganu wants to realize his goals outside the UFC, but here too, everything is not so simple. He does not have any agreements for boxing, it is not clear how mutch he can be paid for this if this does happen. For the UFC, his departure is a loss, many of his records will remain unbroken for a long time, but this is his decision.

If he was offered big, Francis would have accepted. He is very vocal about what he wants to do, he wants to get paid big just like the biggest stars he know such as McGregor or Jones himself. There are several MMAs also up to make money just like the money that boxers earn every fight.

Francis bet to himself and set on his own. If he gets the chance for Fury vs Ngnannou, that would be it.
Dana could have given one more fight for Francis vs Jones but Dana was already upset and he would be more upset if Jones will be defeated by Francis.

2271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 16, 2023, 02:21:16 AM
Solana is once again a top ten coin, I am starting to feel like I will regret not buying solana and hold for a long time because if this project survive it will bring the highest ROI in the list of top coins on coinmarketcap, the present value is even looking good, what is your take on Solana? Are you a believer or you think it won't do well for long.
Of course everyone would be entice with its current price since sol skyrocketed a lot during the time of bull run and having this price now will be so good for new players and even traders. The market is so volatile that we dont know if we can see those ATH and surpass it once again but its definitely a good one to think of. I dont have any sol as I like other L1 than sol but my take is that it will be great again if the developer focuses on the network upgrade and not just on hype.

Before the FTX collapsed I was wishing SOL to dive down to $10 but when it did, I wasn't interested anymore. I got what I wish but I didn't buy SOL though. It doesn't look good anymore when I know it's being pumped by FTX guys and we know SOL is one of the tokens they hold just like the FTT holding during thier collapse

Anyone who bought at the price of $10 raised more than double. But what I'm surprised about is the pump last week which might also go plummeting next, SOL price could also dive which is another blow for those who bought.
2272  Economy / Economics / Re: Reserve Bank of India Governor Calls for an Outright Crypto Ban on: January 16, 2023, 01:21:32 AM
ndia has become a complex country to run. If they are not the most populous country in the world already, it must be not very far. Lost of groups trying to get their share of the government handouts and their bit of power are the real problem in India, not cryptos. I guess all governments need to have some enemy at a point, particularly if things do not go well.

It's the most democratic country as being claimed. Das may realize soon that the CBDC will also be questioned whether it also has some underlying value. Because at least in crypto it's the market that will decide whether it has value or not. It's the demand of the people, the buy orders in the market identify BTC or crypto to have a value.

Banks are stealing the value of our money and so will this CBDC. But not for long because money will now be reliant on the crowd using it.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting against the Public, is this strategy working? on: January 16, 2023, 12:36:20 AM
I heard this strategy working but I like to know based on your experience if this is working.
To me it goes both ways, there would be certain markets where betting against the public would be the better move but it's only a matter of time until the strategy becomes less effective and their record goes back to even.

I agree with what bitbollo said, the strategy can work and it can be a good guideline on which bets to go for and avoid if you're into following trends but it's not always the best strategy since they can still fail with the help of other factors.

Doesn't happen every time a gambler expects.  It rarely happens at all, it's kind of fluke for a stooge to win but he will definitely surprise a lot of bettors when it happens.

In basketball, it rarely happens unless more than one-star player of a team is not present in the game and the others are not confident enough. Betting against the public strategy might only be applied to such a situation and yet you still have 50/50 chance.
2274  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎁Welcome Pack on BetFury| 💸300 Free Spins + 150% Deposit Bonus on: January 15, 2023, 05:44:19 PM
but it would be better if the campaign was continued to build good trust than before. so there is no doubt from the gamblers here.
Signature campaigns mostly help with exposure and maybe bring in new customers, it has nothing with building trust. What the service delivers is what builds trust. There can be several reasons as to why certain service stop signature campaigns, as already mentioned by some members.

But to be honest, according to my observation, casinos or services that run long term campaigns are the ones to seem to thrive more rather than those to keep starting up short campaigns. Once you introduce lets say a 2 months campaign, you get known in those two months after which signatures are removed and next thing that happens is people forget that the service even exists
I have already forgotten that Betfury is still in the forum because their campaign is not in the active part. Yes if the signature campaign is still available or running in the forum the awareness would have increased. Even the newbies would have known that such casino does exist in the casino space. Campaign is one of the best way to attract customers to the casino website.

I will agree with logfiles that signature campaign has nothing to do with the casino's reputation. The way the casino attends to it customers will determine the reputation of the casino. But campaign also help on the popularity of the casino in the forum

What happened to the loyal followers of Betfury by the way?  If they are so Loyal I t think they should keep the signatures especially if they are staking thier BFGs in the casino.

They are going to keep sending dividends to the holders while paying the campaigns also. The signature campaign will help the promotion but it's also going to drain the funds of the team.  Maybe they could do campaigns to low-rank users, less fee but will still have requirements to be visible in the gambling forum.
2275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My friend who work with Stable coin project asking advice suggestions on: January 15, 2023, 05:27:50 PM
It has to have the highest transaction per second which none as of now can make it at least 100K per second. A country may need more than 100k per second transaction once the legal tender is adopted in every business.

Solana claimed that it can make 50k per second. No other project so far claimed to be higher than this. But when it comes to security, Solana had so much downtime in the past and so is ETH congestion. That's to be solved first and the ETH layer2 solutions can provide better TPS such as Polygon.

But will the government really use a layer1 or 2 platform of today?
2276  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: January 15, 2023, 04:23:19 PM
What the heck is Chivo wallet anyway? It's on El Salvador people if they use such wallet to store their bitcoin, I heard they are mostly illiterate in that country, I am sure they failed to do proper research on Bitcoin and how to keep their keys themselves.

This still isn't getting in the way that Bitcoin getting adopted and this does not mean that Bitcoin had failed this is just the beginning of crypto massive adoption, and sooner or later people will understand.

Bitcoin adoption in Salvador is still in early stage, so it's too soon to conclude that the experiment  has not been successful. It was a bold decision of President Nayib Bukele to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender which should be respected. But the timing of this decision may have been unfortunate for him, due to sharp fall in Bitcoin price from ATH of 68,000 to around 16,000 in December-22, which made it challenging for the government to manage.

What difference do El Salvador and Nigeria have?

BTC is successful in Nigeria. They are the first to have Bitcoin beach and offer Crypto companies in the country. Max Keiser even move to this country all for this Bitcoin adoption. Over time El Salvador will also be successful with just a population of less than 7M people. This is the kind of country where marketing will be easier and the government can flash it all the way to their TV network.

This 2022 bear market was just one setback.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 15, 2023, 04:04:21 PM
We've already jumped out of that Sol Boat to another. If it pumped again, I'm guessing the ones who pump SOL are the ones who also have bought all SOL in the market, most likely Alameda and its backers. But true, this is really going to make you earn a lot if it goes more than $100 soon. Even if you start buying now, it's still a good wait to make it. Good luck to us altcoins a.k.a shitcoins speculators  Grin
2278  Economy / Gambling / Re: [DUCKDICE.IO HOLDING MY MONEY] Banned Account with Money on: January 15, 2023, 03:31:16 PM

Surprisingly there is a Duckdice rep/support in the forum besides the Duckdice user itself. That's cool.
OP could not get screenshots as evidence since his account was banned. I think he needs to provide info evidence proving his account was banned.
He can't provide real evidence. And all he had are screenshots proving Ducedice support is not responding to him.

What is the reason for his account ban? This is a stalemate unless Duckdice will unban his account first.
2279  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trying to scam by the name of KYC on: January 15, 2023, 03:08:27 PM

Freelancer itself is already asking for data/KYC from users, why the client is asking for KYC is really suspicious. It's a good thing shasan saw it coming. Hack of troubles they plan just to get documents to be used for verification.

These are the kind of guys that also launder thru the casino right? They need the account to be verified since Wolfbet will also ask. If wolfbet will be alerted, they will tighten thier verification process and probably ask for videos. Damn worse for people withdrawing huge amount.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 15, 2023, 02:25:18 PM
Strickland did what I expected, I think a lot of people underestimate his skill, and the decision was at 4.00 which is probably a reaction based on his last two losses, was definitely worth a shot on him. Unfortunately, I only do accumulators. I actually cashed out in the middle of the Vieira fight as I could see she was likely losing. I cashed out for a profit of 30 quid. Nothing to write home about.

It could be that Imavov didn't do his best. You can see his takedown attempt was the worse ever, who does that? I'm hoping he'll use his Dagestan wrestling to pin Strickland to the ground. It still lasted 5 rounds though.

Oh I was so wrong about Sean Strickland, he won against Nassourdine Imavov on short notice.
I was not impressed with quality of this whole event, but there was few good fights and some surprises.

Jon Jones might fight Cyril Gane on March for a championship. However, whether this championship will be for the interim championship or the real championship is not confirmed. According to Ariel Helwani, there are also rumors that the UFC will remove Francis Ngannou from the heavyweight championship.
Big news, champion Francis Ngannou is officialy released from UFC!
Jon Jones will return to fight with Ciryl Gane for vacated heavyweight title, but this is big loss for UFC and chance for some other MMA competition to hire Ngannou.
This is one more confirmation for me that UFC is slowly declining, and they don't have full domination like before.
Dana White speaking shit about Ngannou and other fighters outside UFC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY6JA3n9OaQ

Francis I think can then go boxing already which he had been wishing for. He wants to get millions in a fight, hope he'd be signed already.
Francis is out, Jones is in and Dana gives Jones a good match.
