I'm not a Twitter user so I might of misunderstood how following works but after your comment I was curious about how many they were adding, so I took a screen shot, maybe about an hour or so ago. I looked back at the photo and it showed around 400 followers.....now it shows 700! I think this app is slowley starting to snowball. I mentioned this app of a few forums and got like 500 views, people who normally wouldn't be into crypto, I think if people have forums they use for various reasons they should mention the app. No the 700 are the pages GetGems is following, you should look at followers which were were 2870/80 and now 2910 so 30/40 new followers since the last update. |

I love the ease of spending Gems in the app, although i wonder how price fluctuations are being dealt with. Gemz price has gone up and a 10 USD coupon now requires less Gems. In the store it shows 1000 Gems, maybe it could update itself just like how it's done in wallet?

I believe Off chain transaction is a good solution to unload the burden of the network! But I doubt any institution wins enough trust from bitcoiners. So at the moment off chain transactions may not be popular! But some merchants are accepting bitcoin payment, not require to wait one congirmation time based on trust, like restaurant, coffee shop etc. It at some extent resolves this issues! I don't think this is best solution at the moment.
Bitcoiners represent 0.01% of the population, institutions don't need to win their trust per se to be successful. The average person is much more tolerant with off-chain transactions. |

It's a bit off topic but as Daniel posted about the Greek crisis. I wanted to share about the lie that the MSM is pushing in almost ALL the media we are reading about Greece. Yes Europe and Greece have many social governments have been over spending and a dependent economy BUT this is not how this crisis has come about. Put simply and quite shockingly. It was the banks, Goldman etc who pushed deriveratives on governments which then blew up, the banks knew they were sub par. Then those same banks were bailed out by the Greek 'lazy' tax payer. And now as the crisis worsens those very same banks are coming after more from the tax payers to pay of the debts they themselves were responsible for and lost. Based on what? I think you are watching a very small time frame like the 30 min chart which is wrong. According to my indicators it will go up in price. My first sell will be at 0.025 where i expect some resistance. |

It's the first time i actually see litecoin rising without bitcoin leading the way. I believe it will be much more valuable in the future than it is now. I have tried to incxrease my litecoin stack during this rise buy trading but not very successfull, so i just hold them, but it's so tempting to play the ups and downs.
