22601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ryan Pumper: Pumpers Picks (Updated Daily) on: February 20, 2015, 01:29:12 PM

Interesting you say that because I have lots of information to share with anyone who is prepared to learn

but no one ever asks me anything so I'll settle with being the voice of reason

still a noble task if you ask me Wink
is your offer still stands? i am willing to learn, if you want to share your information.
but not here in this post, if you can create a new topic(thread) and share your information away from all this mess, fights and insults me and many more would appreciate it.

p.s. i also sent you a PM in case you don't see this here
22602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking,hacked,lost everywhere?!!!! on: February 20, 2015, 06:38:03 AM
Hey guys Smiley

What is happening everywhere !

As 2015 started i see only hacked bitcoins thread !

There are some possibilities !

Wallets are not so secured!
Exchanges stealed money and saying that they are hacked !
Hackers got much knowledge to how to hack bitcoin addresses i mean they learnt much about private keys !

Tell me which is right statement ?👈

Also if hackers are clever enough then thts for them 🔫
this is nothing new, hackers always was hacking it is up to users to secure themselves or at least lower the chances of getting hacked
besides don't believe whatever you read.
in case of the exchanger that lost 7170 BTC, it is most probably an scam, no one in his right mind would keep that much money in one place to be stolen!
22603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Updated] Choices for earning BTC interest on: February 20, 2015, 06:33:07 AM
bter was giving interests on bitcoins on their website, now see what happened to it. it is closed up!
so i prefer saving my bitcoins with myself and don't worry about an small interest rate, while accepting the risks
22604  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: We dont have enough decimal places. on: February 20, 2015, 06:29:38 AM
21,000,000 * 100,000,000 = 2,100,000,000,000,000 Satoshis

This isn't enough for a global currency.
this can always be changed, i mean the updates can change the amount of decimal places at anytime if necessary. also there is still a long way to become a "Global" currency
22605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has there ever been another Satoshi type of person? on: February 20, 2015, 06:24:28 AM
The humans who discovered fire or the wheel. No one knows their names either.
WRONG. it is not about their names, back then history was recorded in picture form not words which you can see on rocks now, so we might even know their names Wink no they are not anonymous
22606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming… fashionable? Like, literally. on: February 20, 2015, 06:21:26 AM

Bitcoin is becoming mainstream, that’s a fact. And it is little wonder that nowadays the cryptocurrency is even mentioned by people being seemingly too far from it.

- Read full article HERE and don't forget to comment below! Wink

for some parts of the world , yes it is becoming mainstream, but in some parts, like asia, i mean the majority of asia, i doubt that the word of cryptocurrency or bitcoins can be hardly heard,
exactly, especially now that solo mining or mining with your pc at home is no longer and option. before there was a lot of interest in mining bitcoin and you could see a lot of people doing it and increasing every day.
but now it seems it is dead!
22607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting shot and killed in past wars is todays equivalent of getting hacked... on: February 20, 2015, 06:17:59 AM
I think we won the war guys… without a single shot being fired.

Were are fighting the same forces except for every hack there will be a better security system built all while maintaining your freedoms.
except you do not die from losing bitcoin, also you can spread your bitcoin between cold wallets, paper wallets etc. but you can not spread your brain in different places so that if a part of got shot you dont die Cheesy
22608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it wrong to suggest people should own just 1 or .5 btc. Mr.WarrenBuffet on: February 20, 2015, 05:59:32 AM
Is it such a terrible idea to own an oz of gold, if nothing more than for nostalgia… Than why not own 1 bitcoin, if bitcoin fails who cares you loose $250….. if it doesnt fail.. well… i think you guys know how that story goes.
i think it is a great idea but for common people, they do not want to go into the hassle of learning, securing, buying,.... of bitcoin and buy gold instead which is going to be easier and most probable to profit from
22609  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: February 20, 2015, 05:52:30 AM
Two comments,

1) If you alter your signature in this campaign, say you change it and then change it back in short time, you'll reset your payment date. I just experienced this issue. I had to go 3 days without being paid for posts.

2) There's a lot of chatter and frustration about people in signature campaigns posting meaningless, not constructive, or bullshit posts. The perception is that those of us involved in signature campaigns do not care about the quality of our posts but are only interested in reaching our numbers. In some cases this is true, in most cases it is not. If the frustration grows we all risk losing the opportunity get paid for our posts. So...don't do it! Don't risk this great thing we are a part of!

Keep your posts constructive!

Help the community!

If you're seen as a troll or posting bullshit/meaningless comments you should receive threats to your pay or participation. Don't ruin it for the rest of us!

Thanks.
1) you can only change signature between bitmixer's signatures not anything else, if you change it to something else for instance another signature campaigns you will go without payment
2) it was always like this and always will be like this, people will abuse every system no matter what it is. and they always will be punished for it (getting banned,....)
22610  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [NEW RATES] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: February 19, 2015, 01:29:39 PM
Just curious why so many people requesting weekly payments. Is it a trust issue...as in do not want to risk posting for a month and not getting paid? What do people do with tiny payments...gamble them? I see it asked so much just curious...
it is both "trust issues" and needing the bitcoin on a weekly basis. not after a month.

and also it is the matter of price. bitcoin is 200$ today and it will be 300$ tomorrow and it will be 100$ the day after that

i see people giving/asking for loans talk about collateral?
what are the things that are considered collateral

i only know of the bitcointalk account, and most importantly i want to know how does it work?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.0
its explain here!

Let us know if u have more questions
so for example if i want to get a loan and give my account here as collateral, i should give the Escrow my username and password right?

Change the password before giving it.. You are aware of that, right?

Good stable Altcoins are another good collateral.
yeah and that is a good thing to keep in mind Cheesy
22616  Economy / Lending / Re: Bitcoin Noob on: February 18, 2015, 04:42:22 PM
Hey all,

I am entirely new to the world of Bitcoin. I have studied various Bitcoin topics the last 1.5 weeks including mining, exchanging, P2P lending etc.

I stumbled on this forum today and noticed the microloans are all very small like maybe $10 or so (although some are higher).

1. I dont understand why someone would borrow such a small amount? Do they exchange it back to real currency and buy something. or trade for other cryptocurrency or what?

2. I have opened a my own BTC account and would like to start funding it, Would someone be willing to loan BTC to a total newcomer like myself?

As I said, totally new to the bitcoin world, but want to learn.

Regards

why do you want a loan if you are new to bitcoin. what are you going to do with borrowed bitcoin?!
if you want to learn either buy BTC or work for it!

22620  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Encompass released - Multi-Coins Electrum client on: February 17, 2015, 03:56:11 PM
Great news for the Electrum technology!

Mazacoin's developers have released, 10 days ago, a Multi-Coin version of Electrum.  Based on the latest release of Electrum, Encompass amalgamates many coins in one interface, allowing to change from one coin to the other in a few seconds (select new coin in the menu bar).  It uses the BIP44 standard for each coins.  Meaning, that one seed is used for all the coin types in your unique wallet.

Coins currently supported are MZC (of course), LTC, BTC and VIA.  DRK is currently under review (pull request) by mazaclub team members.

It only requires a coin developer to submit one page of code (the coin specs) to Encompass, to add a coin to the service - great idea!  Of course, coin developers have to provide the Electrum servers to support their coins, as this interface is only for the client part of the system.

Encompass currently supports the following POW algorithms: Scrypt (LTC, VIA), SHA256 (BTC, MZC) and soon X11 (DRK).

Github: https://github.com/mazaclub/encompass
reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/mazacoin/comments/2v1ms5/multicurrency_lightweight_hd_bip0044_wallet/
developers:  https://mazacoin.org/development-team/

PS: Trezor support is currently disabled, pending further testing.
it is a good thing they did. but why isn't there Doge and Reddcoin in the list. i know that they both have individual clients
