2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: November 03, 2017, 07:02:45 AM
Again placed a bet of 0.12btc on India to win the second t20 match against Newzealand... I think India are too good a team right now specially their bowling is very strong with main batsman in form...go India again

Yes, India is in prime form and they are favorite for the next game, but NZ gave them tough time in the last match. It was a very close match and they lost by small margin. Anything can happen in T20, so i would suggest you to play safe and make sure place cross bets on NZ if required. Don't forget, 0.12 BTC is big amount and value still increasing.
2282  Other / Meta / Re: Help!!! How to Recover Bitcointalk account on: November 03, 2017, 06:56:41 AM
If you have violated any forum rules and got banned for that reason then it would be really difficult to lift the ban. Moderators will never allow any misconduct and will stick to their decision. But if you have any genuine reason and if you are able to convince them then there is little chance, good luck mate.
2283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price prediction 2018 on: November 03, 2017, 06:36:59 AM
If we look at the current trend and if it continues in the next year as well, then bitcoins will easily reach around 18000 by the end of 2018. There should not be any negative news around bitcoins which could be the reason for panic selling and price burst.
2284  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk hacked accounts on: November 03, 2017, 06:16:32 AM
2)Does anyone know why hackers would steal a forum account?

They hacked the accounts to make the money by selling these hacked accounts and sometimes they even used these accounts for scams. But things are getting better now with the introduction of security features, as the owner can regain the access of the account if someone changed their password or registered email id.

2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Is Too Complicated for Average People! on: November 03, 2017, 05:55:28 AM
Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

I believe if Bitcoin sell coins on their official website, with lower fees, such as 1% to 2%, and make  a simple wallet for people to use, more & more people would buy and use it.
What is your opinion on it? discuss..

It looks complicated but in reality it is quite simple. Anyone who has average knowledge about the computer, knows how to operate the apps and have basic internet connection can easily learn about the bitcoins. There are so many tutorial videos available on youtube which helps to understand the bitcoins. People should spend more time on this forum which is the best way to get familiar with the bitcoin community.
2286  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do i have to pay tax on bitcoins ? on: October 30, 2017, 06:58:31 PM
Yes, any income generated by the business or work is entitled for tax in most of the countries and people should pay such tax honestly. So if you are earning in bitcoins then you have to disclose your income and pay appropriate tax to the authorities.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: October 30, 2017, 06:53:24 PM
it is a common practice to buy drugs with bitcoin; I have a couple of friends who buy weed with bitcoin. hey what people do with their money is their business.

Agreed but such incidents are spoiling the image of bitcoins; if this continues and keep increasing then governments might ban the bitcoins or impose some strict laws, which will minimize the chances of bitcoins from becoming a main stream currency.
2288  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin - new Business Opportunities on: October 30, 2017, 06:48:37 PM
Bitcoin is still new (less than a decade old)  and there are many business opportunities. There is good scope of business for bitcoins related services as the bitcoin market is growing rapidly; people are looking for easy, secure and better service for trading, storing and making online payments with bitcoins.
2289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin so expensive? on: October 30, 2017, 06:36:38 PM
There has been constant demand for the bitcoins and new people have also started adopting the bitcoins. More numbers of investors are showing their trust to invest into the bitcoins for longer period of time. People are holding the coins with the hope of making good profit in the future. There is a limited supply and high demand for the bitcoin, which is one the main reason for the expensive bitcoins.
2290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: October 30, 2017, 06:29:10 PM
Criminals are also using the traditional fiat currency to complete their transactions for illegal activities, so we can not blame the bitcoins. It is really hard to stop the use of bitcoins for illegal and criminal activities; criminal prefers bitcoins due to the anonymity and safety from government authorities.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 29, 2017, 06:18:49 PM
India done great job as they reach very good target 337 but now very interesting counter attack from New Zealand batsmen specially opener C Munro doing great job B Kumar hero for last match today feeling heat as he already done 5 overs 51 runs very poor effort still plenty of game left very interesting result is coming
India played really well and Kohli as usual scored a century and took them to a good total and in return New Zealand started really well but they lost some wickets in the middle but they could still chase this score down as they have a good tail and they just need 70 runs from 43 balls and they still have six wickets in hand,so it is possible for them to win the match and the series unless India start restricting the run flow and take wickets.

It was an amazing match and it was played like a final. The match went till last ball and result was out only till the second last ball was bowled. We can say it was a well played series with both team putting up a big effort to win the match and had a good contest.

Yes, a series which was fought between two evenly matched teams. India won the series, but New Zealand gave a good account of themselves. Although India scored over 300 runs, New Zealand kept pace until the last over. A pity that one team had to lose and it was New Zealand.

It was a nail biting match, what a terrific come back by the Indian Bowlers. Full credits should be given to the Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, they made it sure to pick the important wickets in the death overs and restricted the big hits, which builded the pressure on NZ batters. Good knock by the Rohit Sharma and Captain Virat Kohli which helped India to set a mammoth target against NZ.
2292  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: is bitcoin taxable in canada? on: October 29, 2017, 06:11:43 PM
Yes it is taxable - if its your income. Any income received from work/business is taxable and its not only in Canada but same applied for other countries as well. I would suggest that people should make sure to disclose such income and they must pay the tax in local currency.
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Is Yesterday, Here Comes Bitcoin As A Reserve Currency on: October 29, 2017, 05:56:53 PM
It should be noted that Bitcoin is not the only potential reserve currency. All cryptocurrency is, especially more anonymous ones like Monero. A lot of people are switching to Monero as I type this, because it is actually 100% anonymous, whereas Bitcoin is only pseudo-anonymous which means if the government wants, they could track you, but with Monero it isn't possible.

Agreed with you, bitcoins could be considered as pseudo-anonymous but it will be really difficult for the government authorities to trace the origin of the bitcoins transactions, though it is a peer to peer network. Yes, there are many other cryptocurrencies, but only bitcoins has the potential to became a reserve currency.
2294  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: Exposed? on: October 29, 2017, 05:43:32 PM
A documentary here in the Philippines entitled: FAILON NGAYON have exposed Bitcoin as a type of scam.
It goes like this: a callcenter agent guy invested on one of the sh*tcoins here. He invested a fair amount of money into it as a promise projection of 50% gain for about 3 months. After 3 months have passed and he was about to withdrawn the money, support system from that UK based comoany was suddenly became unresponsive.
Financial analyst said that bitcoin is being used by some scammers to phish for money from users through untrusted sites.
I think that due to anonymity, it is very hard to track down those people who uses bitcoin for scamming.
For me, I think you just invest amount ofnmeny that you can afford to lose. Secondly, just transact with secured sites and not fall for get rich quick schemes because most likely thisnis a scam.
What are your thoughts on this?
I'll say so scammers were everywhere. but he had to understand that bitcoin is the next pyramid. And if not now, he would have lost his money in the future. I hope after that, the Philippines will also go to the ban of bitcoins and it will fall in price and popularity.
Be wise in investing! Soon bitcoin will shutdown because countries will be banning the use of it. Scammers and hackers will make the name of bitcoin go to waste. It is you scammers who put bitcoin down! Get lost! Let us switch back to ETh instead.

Even if the countries ban the bitcoins, people will still continue to use the bitcoins due to the anonymity. People should be more careful before investing the money into any online scheme as most of these schemes are for scamming. If someone fall into their trap then it is investor's mistakes who blindly trust the unrealistic and fake schemes.
2295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have £150 left to invest, was thinking ?? on: October 28, 2017, 10:46:16 AM
What do you think of investing in XLM and NXS ? Any Speculation for the future ? Will they have a future tomorrow or next year or in ten years  Cheesy Grin Cool
Nexus    (NXS) £100
Lumen   (XLM)  £50

It is really hard to predict the future of these coins due to the lack of movement. You are investing a very small amount so there is less risk, you can go ahead with NXS.  I hope it will make some good profit for you in the future.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Investor Warren Buffett Says ... Bitcoin in 'Bubble' Territory on: October 28, 2017, 10:39:06 AM
This is not the first time, when he has criticized the bitcoins; previously also he has done the same. I think it will not change the views of the seasoned bitcoin investors/users, only few people who are new to the bitcoin community may be influenced by his views. There are many big names who don't trust the bitcoins but it did not affected the bitcoin brand, as the bitcoins are breaking the record continuously.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 28, 2017, 10:27:04 AM
I know that both teams will give everything today and since its Indian surface Indians will have advantage but I also think this is a 50/50 game . The team which handles pressure well will win so I am going with NZ just because they got good odds.

India is still favorite for the upcoming match against the New Zealand. Series is level at the moment but it will be really difficult for NZ team to win the last match and series as well. India will make sure to win the series, India has never lost any ODI series under the captaincy of Virat Kohli and they will try to maintain the same record.
2298  Other / Meta / Re: List of stolen accounts on: October 28, 2017, 10:18:31 AM
Account hacking incidents have been already decreased after the introduction of new security features. Even if someone manage to hack the account, it will be useless for them as the original account owner is able to lock the account. These account security features should have been introduced earlier in order to make this forum hackers free.
2299  Other / Meta / Re: Account Hacking An Inside Job? on: October 26, 2017, 06:00:31 PM
I don't think its a inside job. Admin and moderators will never perform such a low act to earn the money. I think this forum is already earning enough money from the advertising, so there is no need for such dirty tricks to make the money.
2300  Other / Meta / Re: Who do I need to talk to about a hacked account on here? on: October 26, 2017, 05:51:07 PM
if you did not staked btc address in the past or if you are unable to sign the message from your old btc address then you can not prove your ownership. I fear that it would be difficult for you to regain your account without the signed message from the old btc address. Good Luck mate.
