2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]◥◤N2◢◣IPO◥◤100% POS◢◣NXT Clone◥◤New Features◢◣FULL Version Available◥◤ on: June 01, 2014, 10:00:01 PM
I'm really wondering.
In which direction are the devs going to develop the coin?

From now on it seems N2 is a true NXT altcoin.
A real fork of NXT. It opens the question if new aspects to the NXT code can be applied to the original NXT.

I'm glad to see further development on the whole NXT ecosystem.

Going to invest some more.
After all, the coins are there, so this is definitely not a scam.

Yeah, had the same thoughts. The price of the coins is really cheap, if they only reach NAS value, it is a killer investment, but if they actually release their desctop standalone client, the price could go to 3x-4x NAS price.

But stil.. Huge gamble Wink

Great!!

Qora what are your thoughts on a offer option in the name exchange?

You will be able to send a message to the guy offering that name later. That should be enough right?

is the bitstamp-bitfinex link so that arbitrage is not possible? i.e. if bitstamp price is lower than you cant buy @ the bistamp price and vice versa; but then, how comes they have the same price-curves, how is the linking explainable practically? thx

it is there to add liquidity, not to prevent arbitrage. Arbitrage is something positive for the market and the trading sites.

ok, but how comes my orders @ bitstamp prices are never filled, if bitfinex prices are higher?

Because Bitfinex doesn't have funds 100% of the time on bitstamp. Also you have to calculate the spread that gets added. Trading fees on BFX <<<BSP!

thats not possible is it? they are routing the order to bitstamp after adding/substracting bitstamp fees, so one bitstamp order generates revenue for bitfinex? i think the fees bitfinex pays to bitstamp are included in the fees that bitfinex takes from the customers.

Raphael said here that Bitfinex is no longer brokering Bitstamp orders

Oh, sorry I missed that.

yeah, but very interesting posting indeed; correct me if i´m wrong: some days ago i read a post from raphael or giancarlo stating that they just met with the bitstamp guys and everything is fine with them and so on - and now the link is cut??? thats a major change - was there an annoucement or any news? or am i misunderstanding something?

edit: here´s the link to the post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=229438.msg6913625#msg6913625

Maybe what he meant on reddit was that they are not a broker anymore and don't allow users to choose to root their orders. Now this is all done automatically and you will not even know if funds are on BSTMP or not.
2284  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 01, 2014, 09:49:20 PM
not playing on seals in 2012 when there were pots played for hundreds of BTC, and like 2-3 good players on the whole site. One of them won over 2000 coins in 2012...

ALL of them won 2000 BTC and more.

There were crazy PLO8 games on 200/400 chips tables. But 40 BTC was really nothing back then Sad
2285  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Update: Withdrawal problems - DO NOT DEPOSITS - dying HYIP on: June 01, 2014, 09:48:01 PM
Since he knows the jig is up he's biding his time to perform as much arbitrage as he can and keep the profit before returning your original funds back.

With a 1% profit daily on his alleged 500 bitcoins he'd double that amount in 70 days i.e. 2 months. Meaning you will be receiving trickles of transfers until he's made enough profit to call it a day. He's basically holding your pool of bitcoins on ransom until he earned enough profit for himself.

or something like that at least. The bigger your investment was with the site, the slower you'll get your money back.

BTC: 1ASkYcaXt8H1E9oKX28A1ezRkxqo1bFdz7

Hint: There was never any arbitrage trading.

Pshhhht. Don't give it away! I bet some guys could still join btc trader!
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHA] Chancecoin, a coin for betting in a decentralized casino on: June 01, 2014, 09:43:59 PM
I am waiting for 2000 CHA to arrive on poloniex for a week now. They are telling me that they need the help of the CHA Devs, as the coins are stuck somewhere, but the devs are not replying. Is this true? Any devs here?

Yeah, poloniex has major issues with CHA. I have some CHA stuck in my Polo account too. I hope they can resolve this soon!

Price at NXT AE is pretty good, the last seller sold at around 120 satoshis. Offers starting at 210 satoshis!

Very nice solution you found for the exchange!

Congratulations!

I see your concerns. Many people also had the same concerns for BTC, it would be wise to not underestimate/be wary of coins because of new things they bring to the table.

What exactly are you talking about? I have not commented on the quality of the coin... I was talking about regulatory issues and market statistics..

I'm also talking about regulatory issues. I meant people thought BTC was an "anonymous" coin because you couldn't see who owned an address. DRK  takes the next steps with anonymity, I doubt it will get regulated, at least not anytime soon(for a few years) imo

Ok, now I get your angle.

The thing is, BTC doesn't go around screaming: "Hey use our coin to make anonymous payments".

But as you say, we will see, only future will tell.
2290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEM] NEMstake tokens are listed on Nxt asset exchange on: June 01, 2014, 09:35:24 PM
NEM stakes will most likely go down to 15000NXT level as NXT keeps increasing in value.

Version 8 is now available.

https://mega.co.nz/#!7xRGEZgS!V4oC3BxnH4NovkF1TXpoKjJj7ld58im5kHl0Pj7DmoI
Please download the application from this post and not from a quote.

MD5: 0a858afe59c8eaedc290f9b6ea51b5db
SHA-1: f71f487a974f450485f3d02a6fe66a43ec61c2a7

This version contains some fixes for the network and synchronization.
I have noticed that when the connection is unstable it can take the application up to an hour to get back to the latest block.
A ping message will be implemented in the next version to reduce this time.

Also most of the issues with the exchanges are client related.
They can't help it if their transactions get somehow orphaned and lost.

Nice! When do you think the first stable version will be available?

If someone wants some tac. Im willing to sell 3000 for .25 btc.

So you valuate TAC at 3250 BTC for the first years mining amount. Yeah sure..... Keep dreaming.
2294  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: June 01, 2014, 09:25:40 PM
You guys realize that Bitifinex is looking at the $, which is what any exchange with half a mind would do.

Darkcoin has A Lot of buys/sell every hour, much less everyday. There are Buys in the 100s of BTC's.

Dark would bring Bitifinex a lot of new revenue...

Yes but I guess a lot of traders frown apon adding such a coin and will consider leaving this site. There aren't only upsides Wink

The amount of traders coming in, with 100s of BTC and USD to trade DRK will far outnumber the # leaving because of ignorant reasons frankly..

Sure.

Don't call them ignorant reasons please.

1. DRK is a pseudo-anonyous coin, that hides transactions (ofuscating) and thus makes anonymous transactions possible. If a government/regulation wants to ban those, Bitfinex could get more trouble than would have been neccessar.y

2. DRK has a way-higher volatitlity and lenders don't want to lend to such a risky investment with margin. We know that bitfinex says the money is guaranteed, but we all know that it is only backed by the funds stored on the site, if the total amount available drops below the amount owed to lenders, then they can't pay without running fractional exchange.

I use 1.1.3 NXT client and I cant copy password from notepad. There is no such a possibility when I click right button nothing happens in NXT wallet.
It is totally getting on my nerves, I have crazy long passwords, and it is almost impossible to write it there correctly. I dont know what is wrong. I hope in NEM client it will be allowed to just copy password in wallet or it will be huge turn off.

I used  version 1.2 and I can copy and past, Can you not update your client?

I downloaded it from here

http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/

the actual client is 1.1.4 !

first you must run the start.bat ( black window) , wait a few minutes until the blocks are load and than run the nxt wallet and than you can also copy/paste your password

1.2 is the name of the wesleyh standalone client, that is displayed in the header.

Voting System Update!

Kushti is looking at the voting system now, can't keep this guy down...!

I'm going to work on this. In the first place, I'll do current state of development investigation / tests writing then finishing. There are some hard questions to be resolved.
Source: https://nxtforum.org/voting-system/status-of-the-voting-system/#msg33345

I was under the impression that it would be 1 Nxt = 1 Vote but there is a selection of voting models listed here with a suggestion for implementing all of them   Grin Grin Grin  >>>>> https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Voting_System

*finishes poking the hornet's nest and runs for the hills*  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

We should vote on whether to include voting into the NXT code Tongue

No, look at it this way. You want to buy at 1000$ at bitfinex.

Bitfinex will either execute your order at 1000$ on finex or 1000+X$ on bitstamp. X = the difference between bitstamp fee - bitfinex fee. So for 0.4% - 0.2% = 0.2%   So X would be 1000 *0.002 = 2$

The order would only get filled on bitstamp if the price reaches 1002 there Wink
