Don't take things personal, Spoetnik. Just say it like it is. Smiley

These 'flavour of the day' coins and/or the pools and exchanges are bloating the numbers in various ways.

- stratum hashpower exploit
- reward bugs
- fractional reserve accounting

People need to be made more aware that popularity can easily be faked.

@ MaruCoinOfficial Plz shorten the subject. These "80 character" error messeges getting annoying..

by the code only after block 7000 there will be a bigger reduction (if diff. is over 75) ..
after block 15k there will be big reduction even if diff is low

The OP mentions nothing about blocks 7000 and 15000.

Where are you getting that formula from ?
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ MaruCoin ★★★ NEW X13 ALGO ! ★★★ MINE NOW ! [KGW+DGW] ★★★ NO IPO/PM EXCHANGE! on: April 27, 2014, 01:48:25 PM
maybe it was diff 23.something ?
at 23 after 'tax' should be 142.4383126378

Rounding up/down the decimal will not make a difference.

The difficulty increase should have resulted in a lower reward.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / PLZ FIX THE SUBJECT LINE. ;) on: April 27, 2014, 01:32:50 PM
https://github.com/MaruCoinOfficial/MaruCoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1094

I think you should be looking at (we are still not at block 7000 and difficulty is lower than 75)
nSubsidy = (22222.0 / (pow((dDiff+51.0)/6.0,2.0)));

(21+51)/6 = 12
12^2 = 144
22222/144 = 154.3194444444

and 2.5% from that goes to charity

This is how the last block I found works out.. A 21 diff block paid out 132.60 MARU.

21x 65536 = 1376256
+2600 = 1378856
divided by 9 = 153206.2222222222
multiplied by 2 = 306412.4444444444

444444444 divided by 306412.4444444444 = 3263.575018348544 MARU Huh

Your calculations are wrong. The block found soon after my post proves it.

diff 23, reward 139.425 MARU

What about YOUR responsibilities and obligations !?

We mined the tax trusting that you would follow through with your promises.

The only responsibility and obligation of a developer is to maintain the coin.

It is 10 months now since it has been released,  it still is alive.

If your expectations are more than this,  then I suggest you go out and sue every developer that you have mined a coin with.

If anybody is a douche bag, it would be you.  Nothing but constant whining.   If you want to be succesful in life, then I suggest you make real contributions and not expect entitlement.   Your only entitlement to the 86,000 ZTC are the coins you mined.  If you don't like them,  then go to an exchange and sell them.

Here.. let me fix that for you.. Wink

Since when does STATING FACTS constitue "whining" ?

You and/or the devs are undeservingly holding MY 43+K ZTC contriFREAKINbution.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZenithCoin (ZTC) Market Making Sustainable Crypto Currency on: April 25, 2014, 02:22:32 PM

Yup you made my decision easy though no one is buying so its hard to sell all my coinc

There is a major buyer at allcrypt.

Besides,  did I not send you around 2000 ZTC to distribute as giveaways to promote the coin?  Whatever happened to that giveaway?

solracx sent me 2000 coins did you maybe just message me from the wrong account? that's a little shady. Please have solracx send me his return address I want nothing to do with this coin. A major buyer hahahahaha .006btc sell volume is a major buyer?Huh?? I am trying to sell on allcrypt but there is no one buying.

In case you missed it, solrax is FC who also claims to be Carlos Perez.

@FC/solrax NO we have not !

What about YOUR responsibilities and obligations !?

We mined the tax trusting that you would follow through with your promises.

DAMN ALL YOU SCAMMIN FATASS KARPELES WANNABE DOUCHEBAGS ! ... plz.. Tongue

Zenithcoin is now listed here: http://www.cryptocoinrank.com/Zenithcoin

Cheers

Where is the data coming from zenithcoin is not on any exchange

ZenithCoin now with a marketcap of $ 151,450

http://coinmarketcap.com/2.html

Current ZTC price is $ 0.042391

You, aka. solrax, have done little to nothing with regards to your promises and obligations made those of us who mined the 50% tax.

We demand just compensation.
2299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ MaruCoin ★★★ NEW X13 ALGO ! ★★★ (CPU) MINE NOW ! [KGW+DGW] ★★★ NO IPO/PM ! on: April 24, 2014, 12:54:41 PM
i actually ended up doing really similar if not the exact same as what you posted.. last 24hrs
2 threads..
queue at 0 with low scan and expiry etc
Intensity at 12 the whole time (with low TC although high seems to cause crashing a but more)
and the shaders setting i am sure makes no difference because if you specify TC it get overridden and then shader setting does nothing.

guys i know what i am doing this ain't my first dance Wink
i'm telling you it's causing my driver to crash on the weakest of weak setting no matter what
and another guy was getting the same thing mentioned on sgminer topic too on ALL the various builds.
so i guess we have to be doing something wrong though..
but it really makes me wonder if the sgminer algo code is optimized properly.
It really shouldn't be that buggy..

Like there is extremely different code bases used for Quark written in c..
They had been written using different approaches and are vastly different.

i have to keep reminding people i have coded miner moods of my own for a year too so your not talking to a noob Wink
after i started a year ago i had a 90% complete working miner program ported from Cudaminer that was a windows GUI based
i wrote it in MFC and as far as i am aware that is the ONLY real miner with a windows gui in existence.
And i dropped it because it was 100x faster to do coding work and compile for a console app.. dev laziness lol
But i could finish it and release it pretty easily if i wanted to..
I have spent huge amounts of my life in the last year staring at and working on miner code.
and something is not right here guys.. THAT is what i am trying to say.
There is no way that the miner should be crashing the display driver that easily when it has never happened once in my life until this coin.
get what i am saying ?

I appreciate all the feedback in response to my asking..
Seriously thanks a lot guy for taking the time to post and YES it is helpful.. all can do is experiment i suppose and lower the crash frequency.
I didn't want this comment to seem like an ungrateful know it all and your idiots kinda comment.
BUT.. it is.. i am the best and smartest  Smiley

PS:
jk Wink

but seriously though, i am still stuck at square one and i have to fix the problem myself.
it's clear what the deal is.. to me anyway.
i think what has happened is you guys all just think this is normal but why should i be doing 90% usage with no HW errors
using ultra weak settings and have my driver crash like a broken record ? If i told you all i was mining scrypt or scrypt- and said that what would you all think ?
I really think there must be a problem with implementation and coding of a dozen+ algo's in sgminer
i was pretty damn stunned to such bad performance and temperamental behavior.
Like i have not crashed my driver on any other coin once.. what happens faaar before that usually on other algo's is i get HW errors or lower performance.
does anyone see what i am saying yet ?

There must be something up with your windows setup. Is it up to date ?

Which set of drivers are you running ? I'm using 14.2 beta1.3 ..

2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LGC] Logicoin | DGW | X11 | No Premine | Poloniex on: April 24, 2014, 04:41:51 AM
Does this coin mining with the CPU ??

possible how to BAT file settings ? (minerd) ??

you need the xcoin-miner

http://darkcoin.io/downloads/xcoin-miner.zip

then follow the directions provided by the pool of your choice.

minerd -a X11 -o stratum+tcp://pooladdresshere:port -u worker -p password

If you have a modern processor you can use the cpu optimized versions here:

http://download.darkcoin.fr/darkCoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes-windows-binaries.zip

Check the readme to see which miner to use for your processor. They all use the same options as what wirerogue mentioned above.

Performance with the cpu optimized versions is about 2x. I get about 567kh on an I7-3770k @ 4.5ghz running 7 threads.

Do what he ^ said.

Huh

Miners are classed as viruses by av software:) Feel free to grab the zip anywhere else though, scan the zip, and look up the alerts that pop up about it before doing anything with it. Regular old minerd will throw the same alerts.

The results posted were for the link and not the .zip and its contents. I never made it that far. Tongue
