That is the person who has registered the site.

That's not a person. "Scott & Davie" is a plastering business in Edinburgh.

lol
Anarchists are sexy.
Would have been funny if OP had attached the same address to both 'parties.'

I'm not actually an anarchist. I'm more like a manic dictator. Still sexy though.

2284  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] "It's like an ASIC for your brain" on: May 13, 2013, 09:57:23 PM
That's not a very good slogan you have there, you know? An ASIC is a specialized circuit that can only do one very specific thing and nothing else. So it's like saying "Product X gives you a one-track mind."

Quote
Only the paranoid survive. If only you could bury your bitcoins underground to stay safe from hackers, keyloggers, and rotten luck.

Opening your BTCoinSafe account:

Creates a laser-engraved crystal wallet.
Secures the crystal wallet in an indestructible medium.
Deposits your wallet in the deepest reaches of a retrofitted high-security prison.

You can check your balance whenever you want on bitcoin's public accounting ledger, the blockchain. And to add funds, just send them to your BTCoinSafe public address. Withdrawing funds takes a bit more time—wallets are only accessed in an isolated panic room under a stringent protocol with your authorization.

At intervals, we'll contact you to see how you're doing. If you fail to respond several times, we assume the worst, shut down your account, and send your bitcoins to other public addresses specified at the creation of your account.

Laser-engraved crystal wallet? That's more like it.

I'm already doing it:

Bitcoin Private Keys in Diamond. :-)

BTW: OP that link looks ridiculous. I wouldn't trust it for a minute. They say for example they will check on you regularly and if you don't respond they will send your bitcoins somewhere. Which means they can send your bitcoins anytime. Which means you're gonna get f*cked. 100% guaranteed.

AND Crystal isn't indestructible. It's glass. It breaks pretty easily.

But dude, LASERS! LAZORRRRS!
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So funny, Just happened. wanted to share it on: May 13, 2013, 09:43:39 PM
While currently impossible, there is some questions as to if this might be somehow possible using the OP_EVAL codes that are enabled in testnet. So.....not entirely crazy.

In fact I think someone injected a virus scanner test signature to see if this would auto-gobble-up the blockchain.

Oh, good, the new coin of the day. I was wondering when the next copyfail arrived. Usually it's earlier in the day. Maybe rename it NotverypunctualCoin.

Nope, gotta support Matt as weird as that may be. For someone that was studying "social network theory", you're not too big on how this whole "social" thingamabob works. Maybe read some Takei for a change.
2290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Day 3 Ignored by the Mods and Now in Forbes Magazine) Free Bitcoin Course on: May 13, 2013, 07:59:06 PM
Of course Matonis again. I can't wait until they kick his blog off Forbes.

How about you pay for the priviledge of being able to edit Wikipedia? Sounds more reasonable to me.
2293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP making alternative cryptocrapcurrencies on: May 13, 2013, 07:20:19 PM
Sigh. You guys don't get it. You're acting like the governments and the central banks. The POINT of this whole exercise, the purpose for which bitcoins and litecoins and novacoins and feathercoins and chinacoins were CREATED was to PREVENT currency from being controlled by a central, or even a decentralized authority. There IS no governing authority, including all the butthurt BTC holders who rag on every new coin that comes up. You have a lot of BTC? Congratulations.

YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL.

You don't have some special right or authority or wisdom that makes you the arbiter of what crypto currencies should exist and which should not.

The problem with having a hundred different coins  is that from a Marketing perspective its just way to confusing for new users and the mainstream market.

You don't have to market them all. Market the one(s) you like. These are seperate currencies. It's like US Dollars and Japanese Yen and German Marks and British Pounds etc etc. I don't do ANYTHING with German Marks, and their existence doesn't really affect the ease with which I use US Dollars.

Stop acting like every new coin is some kind of vicious attack on your favorite coin.

It WOULD be kinda difficult seeing as the Mark doesn't exist anymore.

I have not BTC, is common sense. We are killing the BTC, and once that happens we're going to get the crypto currencies in the ass.

Hmmmm, AssCoins.  Kiss
2295  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Suspected ASICS scammer on: May 13, 2013, 07:04:05 PM
It's just a wordpress hosted website with a nice template in it.

It must be another scammer.. No proofs of the existence of this product, no hashrate proof and no proofs of shipping.

Stay away from it

Worst yet, no announcement on the forums.

Worst worst yet, their "About us" page display a lack of knowing ANYTHING about hardware. Of course this little problem never stops BFL_Josh from talking, but at least someone at BFL knows who to shuffle of this sort of work to. Those guys? Nothing. At all.
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP making alternative cryptocrapcurrencies on: May 13, 2013, 06:55:07 PM
OP, because of this post, no new alt-currencies will be created.
You single-handedly halted the proliferation.
Congratulations!

HeroCoin incoming.

I love lamp

lampcoin. Excellent. You could build little physical coins with LEDs in them.
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin vault? on: May 13, 2013, 06:53:06 PM
So you're ready to put your money into a company that doesn't have a real address and isn't registered anywhere because they have a "good website".

No no no, they HAD adresses, but they removed them after I made fun of the ghetto hovels they lived in.
2299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP making alternative cryptocrapcurrencies on: May 13, 2013, 06:47:08 PM
I think there should be even more coins (oooh, MoreCoins (patent pending)).

Fill all of btctalk up with ever more coins until the whole thing drowns in a sea of stupid newbies screaming scammer at each other all day long all throughout the forum. Wait, that's already happening.

Anyway, please keep it up infesting the forums the stink and rot of dying and failing coins (has anyone made FailCoin yet?), until no one can any longer stand the stench and the whole lot of you is thrown off the forum.

Sounds WinCoin to me.
2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP making alternative cryptocrapcurrencies on: May 13, 2013, 06:30:37 PM
Why hasn't anyone made a new coin called coolcoin yet?  Huh

It sounds pretty cool.

Don't steal my idea or I'll drag you to coolcourt.
